    What a fantastic game. Had so much fun with it. The characters were really well done, the story fantastic, the gameplay clever and enjoyable. Over all just a fun adventure. The only down fall is it isn't longer.

    For anyone not playing it because The Avengers game was a let down, well you're letting down yourself

    What a pleasure to play in a lively environment, a perfectly mastered narration and really endearing characters, it's teeming with details, the humor is present without being heavy.

    The French dubs are excellent and a super quality soundtrack, too bad for headphone audio, the sound is a bit weak and the 3d sound is a bit average, even trying to fine-tune the audio settings.     The gameplay is simple but effective, graphics level, I love the artistic direction, it's very fluid on ps5, very few bugs.

    The dialogues between the characters reveal a lot of very interesting information about this universe and for the older ones, a lot of nods to the 80s and 90s.

    The very correct lifespan (finished in ~23h without rushing me, searching everywhere), the chapters follow one another well, we don't see the time passing.
    Difficulty level, the normal mode is really too simple, the difficult mode is recommended to put a little challenge.

    Not at all disappointed, it's a good big surprise for a game I wasn't expecting, it's really fun.    … Expand

    I dont understand those ultimative postive reviews...

    Its a solid and good game, yes. And the dialoges are written really well.

    BUT, it just feels like the spiderman game for the ps4.
    What i am trying to say is: overall its good, but not revolutionary...

    Full of corny jokes and amazing songs, Guardians of the Galaxy may be called a pleasant experience. Although it's not a masterpiece I spent a couple of enjoyable evenings with it. Unfortunately, sometimes I had a feeling that the game was way too repetitive

    The Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack was excellent!

    I, like so many others, really enjoyed the Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack and have downloaded a lot of the songs.     Amazing!Amazing!Amazing! This game is awesome and you will have so much fun playing it. I guess I never had this amount of fun in a game.every dialogue is funny and the relationship between the guardians is hilarious.
    The gameplay is also very good.
    If this game was built by rockstar or naughty dog it definitely would have been the game of the year.

The fight mechanics are identical to FF15, the voice actors are great, the game plays as one heck of a movie/series. You just have to bear until chapter 8 where it all comes together and the actual game kicks off.     Worth playing. I've read a lot of reviews about this and finally decided to give it a try since it was on PSPlus. The story is fun and it's a nice kind of origin story to a version of the Guardians. I never read the comics but I did enjoy this take on their backstory. I'm not sure what difference in game decisions make as I played through it once but I'd play it again if there were someWorth playing.     The voice acting is really good and I really enjoy how they made the characters different from the movie but better. They finally did Mantis justice too. I actually really liked all of the characters in this one, I feel like they got it right. The interactions and conversations are entertaining and learning more about things is optional.

    The gameplay is decently good. I like some of the mechanics but there are some gripes about controls and jumping mechanics. I missed a lot of gaps and holes because of some weird bugs where I got to the next ledge but somehow instead of grabbing the ledge the character fell down a pit anyway. I've been trapped between objects, stuck on objects, or otherwise character locked so I had to reload from the checkpoint. I've had my team just stand there and do nothing for parts of a fight. That one was rare. There were also audio bugs where I saw subtitles but no audio at all. There was an entire section of the game where Groot just didn't have audio.

    I enjoyed the story and making selections on how to handle things. I'd replay to see what difference it makes but I have other things to play. The costumes and collectibles are neat but nothing I care about. The upgrades seem a little limited, I really expected more upgrades but you can get everything pretty quickly in the game.

    Overall I liked it. I enjoyed playing through it. Wasn't too long but about what I expected. It's mostly on rails, still has a few issues a year in and little annoyances but I thought it was better than the movies.    … Expand

    It was a mediocre action game but overall story was okay. I couldn’t wait to see the end of the game so I am done with it and move on. Overall it was a cheap action game that I won’t play again. I don’t think I will ever play marvel game series again.

    After Avengers game i lost hope on this one and i didn't buy it because i felt it would be the same , and now after a year i finally got it and i have to say this is flarkin' amazing.everything about this game is great!! Story, voice acting , gameplay. You'll never get bored at all. It's a super fun single player game that you have to try!

    After the avengers game I wasn't expecting much from this game but it absolutely blew me away! There's no open world it is linear but this shows not everything has to be open world. The level design is great, the action is non stop and the dialogue is constantly either funny or heart warming. I actually enjoyed the story and the characters more than the movies.     I thought the story was going to be something simple, just funny but I was wrong... the story had several funny moments as I thought, but it also had a very serious side which made it quite good! The interaction between the characters is extremely good and funny.     Amazing experience, story is very good, its on pair with the newer movies. Gameplay is kinda lackluster as you can play only with starlord. But nothing too bad, the main stuff here is absolutely the story, humour and interaction between characters.

    Really enjoyed this game. The graphics, story and soundtrack were all great. Had a lot of fun interacting with the rest of the crew throughout the story, the only slight complaint I have is that you never get to play as any of the other characters which would have added to the fun.

    Hat schon durchaus Spaß gemacht, war mir am Ende aber zu lang und immer das gleiche Draufgekloppe. Die Gegnertypen waren meist auch langweilig und so. Der Soundtrack ist geil, aber teils auch Geschmackssache, ich kann zb überhaupt nichts mit Rock/Metal anfangen und war teils genervt. Paar Klassiker waren aber auch geil.

    Im Großen und Ganzen aber eine Runde Sache, die Spaß gemacht hat.

    But the true distinction in this game is in the writing. It's written at a level of a Marvel blockbuster, with constant meaningful dialog by the characters, but stretching over the week or so that it'll take you to complete the game. On a deeper level, the story is meaningful and interesting.

    This makes this game a novel work of art. I can't stress enough how big of a step this is - this is the game where the family gets together to watch the player complete just for the sake of getting the story.

    A special shout out to the actors and voice actors in this game. For licensing reasons, the games feature character models different from the cinematic actors, which to me has been offputting in the past. In this game, the actors and writers did such a phenomenal job that the dissonance (which is explained away by alternate timelines) disappeared and I fully bought into their portrayal.

    At 10/10, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is still criminally underrated.    … Expand

    Well another "film" instead of a game. Linear, boring, always talking characters... No open world.
    No gameplay at all for me.. With games like Horizon, RDR2, God of War, Elden Ring how can people be seduced by trash like this ones.. in comparison it's 0 against 10. Don't get me wrong, it's a very good FILM, but it's not a GAME, where u can live in a world.

    What magnificent work the developers have done in this game. They managed to transport all the particularity and vibe of the universe of comics and movies. All the while I felt immersed in this amazing universe, really an excellent experience.

After becoming tired of all the open-world bloated games, I really loved the linear gameplay. This game felt concentrated and to the point. The interactions between the characters were genuinely hilarious and enjoyable, but I got tired of Rocket being a total jerk.     Above and beyond expectations. Didn’t pick it up when I saw it wasn’t Chris Pratt. Thought it was a knockoff money grab. I was wrong! Great gameplay, story, sound, voice acting, visuals and everything. Couldn’t put it down once I started.

    Absolutely fantastic! The music, the visuals, the story, , the music, the dialogues, and the soul - it is all there! Did I mention the music?.. You know that this is THE game when the opening sequence features a fully fledged metal album made specially for this, a mention of Blue Öyster Cult, and the first password being 0451. It just made me smile and laugh non stop.

    I really enjoyed this game. The gameplay, visuals were top notch, but i also really loved the story & characters. I do miss triple A games with a solid campaign, no online multiplayer and -surprisingly- the pause button

    Very good game, nice history and dialogs. Pleasure to play a game without in game transactions... I know that the game has not much purchases and it is bad, because this game 200 times better than worst Marvel Avangers. I Hope developers understand that. 9/10 from me, just small problems with animations, another things in game are perfect.

    Me ha parecido un juegazo de los que hacía tiempo que no jugaba. A nivel argumental es una historia original, entretenida muy en la linea de guardianes de la galaxia. El doblaje al castellano es espectacular, a nivel jugable es dinámico y responde con suavidad. Muy recomendable

    Junto a Spiderman de PS4-PS5 uno de los mejores juegos en el universo de Marvel jamás creado! Me encantó este juego, la historia es sensacional, los escenarios tremendos, si te gusto la pelicula este juego te va a maravillar, tiene un humor 10/10 y los personajes son tremendos, uno de mis juegos favoritos de PS5 sin dudas, lo recomiendo! Lástima que no reciba la atención que merece.

    I think this game is ingenious and breakthrough at the moment.     The main feature of this game is the interaction among the Guardians. They argue and crack jokes just like in the movies. I am amazed at how fresh the writing is over so many hours of gameplay. This is like all of the best banter of the Mass Effect series in one game. I hope this creative team survives Square Enix’s sale of studios to Embracer.

    The look and feel of the game is straight out the comic book. The roster and some of the story elements are borrowed from the movies, but the colorful nature of the planets and NPCs are all comic book. The alien planets are some of the most diverse and creative that I have ever seen. Combat could be better. You play as Star Lord and direct your companions to use their special abilities. Star Lord has his guns, a melee attack, and his one abilities. Star Lord can also have his team “huddle up”. Choose the right pep talk and your team’s abilities refresh almost as soon as they use them. This makes every battle winnable eventually and that is kind of the point. This should all be familiar to Final Fantasy fans. Big difference here, though, is that the only upgrades are unlocking abilities. There are no levels and no need for grinding. This game is committed to maximum fun from start to finish.

    Full disclosure: this through was part of my PS+ Extra collection. I wish I had bought it last Holiday season instead of Deathloop. “Guardians of the Galaxy” is a guaranteed good time all the time. All-in-all, “Guardians of the Galaxy is a fantasy experience that you will love. Combat could be more interesting.     Every scene is carefully prepared, the dialogues are great. The personalities of the characters are incredible.

    As you play the game, you form an incredible bond with the characters.

    This game Eidos Montreal's best job.

    This game was a lot of fun and kept me interested throughout the storyline. I loved the banter between the Guardians and my ability to "participate" through dialogue choices was a refreshing change of pace.

    Gameplay was smooth. Just a ton of fun. Highly recommend.

    During all their adventure it was nonstop laughing from my side. Really interesting story and characters.
    Gameplay is simple, but it won't make you bored.
    Overall I strictly recommend you to try it.

    Guardians of Galaxy are the real blast that Marvel fans needed after more than mediocre Avengers. The “worst” part of the game is a mere fact, that you are not able to enjoy every single comment in the background and enjoy very well written characters.

    The story is entertaining, and it features characters from the Marvel universe that haven't yet surfaced in the movies, such as Fin Fang Foom, Lady Hellbender and the Nova Corps. Add in the requisite humor and self-deprecation and an eclectic killer soundtrack, and you get one of the most enjoyable games of the year.
