    Best writing in a game in years, not a difficult game, just a lot of fun . Graphics are next gen and the characters are almost better than the ones in the movies. This game really surprised me

    I can't find the words to express my general delight in this game! Everything about it is great, from the Guardians themselves and their humor to the great music, and a special kudos to the folks at Eidos Montreal for creating the Star-Lord Band! Love you and your game!

    Guardians of the Galaxy is a great game. It captures the essense of the franchise so perfectly and the character depictions are amazing. The graphics are marvelous and the gameplay is fresh with combo options up to you. Where the game is less than stellar is the repetitive enemies sometimes wave after wave. It can get old after 3 - 4 hours but the chemistry between the characters andGuardians of the Galaxy is a great game.     Was a little sceptical playing this with all new actors, but surprisingly impressed. Awesome story, unexpected turns. Combat not great, but ability and upgrades handy.

    It’s clearly the Best Single Campaign game of 2021 with BEST GRAPHICS FIDELITY and PERFORMANCE on Xbox Series X console. Unbelievable this game did not win best game of the year! Which proves you can’t ever go by Metacritic scores to judge a game. This is a must grab game to own, enjoy and do lots of replays for years to come. The detail work that went into making the game is one that IIt’s clearly the Best Single Campaign game of 2021 with BEST GRAPHICS FIDELITY and PERFORMANCE on Xbox Series X console. Unbelievable this game did not win best game of the year! Which proves you can’t ever go by Metacritic scores to judge a game.     What a great game! Funny at times and truly an amazing story. This game is probably the only game I actually liked playing this whole year. The story just kept pulling me back in and the gameplay was really fun even tho just like everyone else says: I wish that you could control the rest of the guardians but that wasn't a huge deal to me after the first Chapter.     a fun game with a good story and great character interaction. one of the best of 2021. the boss fights can be tediously annoying and some of the battles seem to bite of more than they can chew , trying to control all 4 characters, but still great. i'd suggest playing on a ps5 though, even on ps4 pro the load times are horrid.

Idioma en castellano tanto menu como historia hablada. Pero en jugabilidad tampoco es para tanto, apuntar disparar y esquivar, bastante sencillo y nada dificil. Из достоинств - визуально неплохо проработанный мир и забавные диалоги между персонажами, постоянно комментирующими все происходящее.Довольно слабая игра несмотря на большой хайп.     Words cannot describe what an amazing game Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy was. Square Enix really went all out on delivering an incredible journey I loved even more than Insomniac's Spider-Man. Telling an amazing and compelling story where all your choices matter, this game was just as much fun to watch as it was to play as I went on so many adventures with this lovable cast. While IWords cannot describe what an amazing game Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy was. Square Enix really went all out on delivering an incredible journey I loved even more than Insomniac's Spider-Man. Telling an amazing and compelling story where all your choices matter, this game was just as much fun to watch as it was to play as I went on so many adventures with this lovable cast. While I only 'liked' them after seeing their first movie in 2014, I 'LOVE' them after going on this journey with them in 2022. This game felt more like a sequel than the second movie did by really expanding on each Guardian and growing their characters, occasionally making me super emotional and always increading my love for each one of them. And while I dare not spoil the plot, I will say the journey this game takes you on comes with many twists and turns you never expect and always makes you excited to play more.

    Gameplay may be secondary to the story, but it definitely has no shortcomings. The combat is a blast, the world always charming to explore, and the music a constant intense and fantastic. Doing combos with your characters and leading your team into battle always feels so satisfying, and while you technically only control Star-Lord, you really do feel like you're always playing as a team. There are a good amount of glitches, and perhaps a crash here or there, but even so it's always easy to work around or catch yourself back up with each setback.

    Had I played this game last year, there's no doubt in my mind it would have made my Top 10 list for 2021. This game is a true masterpiece and a work of love and passion, and singlehandedly made me love the Guardians even more than I already did. I can't recommend this masterpiece enough and I hope more of my friends out there experience it. It really is flarking amazing.    … Expand

    Gamplay-wise it's about a 7 game, pretty basic and easy, bug story and dialog! Oh boy! 10/10! Loved it!!! Better than some of Marvel's movies!

    I was initially turned off by this game due to the disaster that was Marvel's Avengers, but I finally decided to give Guardians of the Galaxy a chance. And I'm glad I did. This is a narrative master, with great characters, fun game play, great dialog and unlocks, very good graphics, and no microtransactions! I give this a 8.5/10

    Terrible gameplay and unacceptable amount of bugs that ruined the experience. I started to play at hard difficulty but switched to easy half way through the game because the bugs just made it impossible to master it at that difficulty. If you prefer good gameplay and epic boss battles like in souls games then you will be disappointed. Too much repetition and rehashing of the enemies makeTerrible gameplay and unacceptable amount of bugs that ruined the experience. As a game, objectively this is a terrible game. Yea it’s massive, but in terms of variety it’s worse than the games from the 90s. The main gameloop is just terrible. The piloting game loop is bad too. I disagree with the reviews completely and feel like this was a waste of my time and money as I trusted the reviews when buying this game. I can’t believe such a terrible game received such high reviews! I think most other reviewers simply rate it high because it’s guardians of the galaxy and they overlook the fact that the gameplay is bad and buggy. I completed the game in January 2022 and all these bugs that ruin the experience are all still there! No updates to fix it! Unbelievable! This ain’t Sekiro folks, that’s for sure!     I will rate only the story, since it is for me the most important aspect on games.

    It is a nice story however it’s often times goofy and nowhere near „stunning story“ as it is praised. You can have a good time with it, but please don’t expect witcher 3 or mass effect level of greatness.

    Very surprised with the overall quality of the game. Towards the end, combat can get repetitive but the story is very good and the characters are well developed, with their little quirks adding elements of comedy throughout the game. Really think the developers did an amazing job on this !

    Game is nice but many mechanics are very archaic. The Invisible barriers are everywhere, you can't even go back when stepping on the cliff. In the age of open world games this is ridiculous. I feel like I'd travel back in time to all those games that treated players like retards...

I was completely and utterly sucked in after like at most 2 hours. I could easily write a 2000 words essay about how amazing they got everything, but few would be interested in that anyway.

    So let's keep it simple:

    - Brilliant story. Twists and turns, logical progression, reasons behind actions, etc. It's an original story so some of the Guardians have a bit different backgrounds, but it fits in very well. There are no disrespectful changes. I personally would have preferred one element to be different, but that doesn't mean that the story isn't spectacular.
    - AMAZING characters (both design and personality) and voice acting.
    - Superb graphics, animations and art direction.
    - Huge variety of environments, all of them awesome quality.
    - Splendid combat that integrates all Guardians into the fray majestically.
    - Very surprisingly, choices! You have some RPG elements thrown in there.
    - Collectables (outfits + gifts for your team which translate into conversations aboard the ship)
    - Ship combat, and it's highly enjoyable. You can also walk around your ship and speak with the Guardians.
    - BANTER! Excellent, remarkable, funny, character-appropriate banter. And LOTS of it too. FLARK YES!
    - Mature-oriented segments when it fits the narrative, without making it broody, moody or edgy. A perfect mix of humour and "real-talk".
    - A focus on each Guardian in particular. Groot is a bit sidelined but I guess there's not so much opportunity for character development there.Still, he plays an important role and I never considered him an afterthought.
    - Marvelous music.
    - It personally filled me with a childlike joy all the way through. Very immersive.
    - Sometimes it's BUGGY, but checkpoint reload solved it in 99% of cases. I only encountered one bug I would classify as major, but it was not game breaking. It involved a conversation with Drax about a gift I got him. Peter would just get stuck in place and nothing would proceed after the conversation. Nothing I did solved this. After reload, the bug would just happen at the beginning of the conversation. POTENTIAL FIX: only talk to Drax about it AFTER chapter 11. You can't do anything to solve this bug if you have that conversation before chapter 11, but it also doesn't affect anything else.

    I could go on and on but honestly, for this one, there's no point. I've been gaming for 20 years and this is EASILY a 10/10. If you love the Guardians, Marvel, action-adventure games, or any mix of those, just get this one.

    You'll thank yourself later as you're screeching with excitement and pure joy while you experience this game.

    I for one got this game on a pretty nice sale and I'm actually a bit sad I didn't give these developers more money.    … Expand

Listening them conversarte between each other was a delight. The comedy hits and the action plays well. The movement is a bit tanky but I got use to it after 10 mins of gameplay. The team huddle is my fave thing to do because it plays so well with the music. Good story line, great plot, and all characters are appealing.     If you are searching for a awsome, marvel like, sci fi story - sadly this is not it. The story is not bad, it plays alright, but the combat makes the game so boring. That finishing it was a struggle for me. I even did lower the difficultie to easy to run through it faster.

    This game dissapoints.

    Not even a huge fan of GOTG, but this is my game of the year and I think it's weirdly under rated. Huge mass effect 2 vibes, even though it's linear. If you're on the fence, it's that good.

    Fantastic story, and fun game which merits an 8. The reasons for not giving 9 or 10 are combat is a bit clunky. I had a few graphical issues clipping and pop in. Upgrading was too easy I had about 2k components at the end and nothing to spend on as I'd already bought all perks.

    Gráficos excelentes, excelente dublagem, dialógos muito bem elaborados e história fascinantes. O jogo só deixa a desejar na jogabilidade , visto que são poucos comandos de ataque, o que torna um pouco repetitivo as vezes, mas é um jogo obrigatório para todo fã da Marvel. Excelente jogo para todas as plataformas.

With this game, however, I've actually enjoyed them and got excited for them. Playing this game felt more like binge-watching a show or watching a movie.     If there are any bad things to name than it’s no open world game. It’s like a walkthrough movie with some hidden secrets and adventures. BUT the dialogs are great and very funny. Every steps you make through the game is different and new. Great atmosphere and storytelling. If you want to have a playable marvel movie with a great story buy that game you won’t be disappointed

    What a great game.
    Well written characters, amusing dialogues and gorgeous music.
    It's a shame that Square Enix decided to give this game so poor marketing company.

    Amazing game. Top notch story with links to the actual / current MCU. Combat system could have been more deep but hey that's how I like it. Length of the game was totally fine. Music was amazing, so thrilled to huddle up :) Will play it again for sure :)

WOW. you almost forget you play a stupidly normal white southern US metal loving country guy. mister max ordinary. and its still fun to the brim.

    Fun, straightforward single-player adventure shooter. Emphasis on story and characters. Combat is simple but effective. At some point, it starts to feel like the game repeats itself, but overall it doesn't overstay its welcome. There are some minor bugs too, nothing game-breaking. Performance mode is disappointing so I ended up playing with quality mode as it looks considerably better.

    This is an amazing story game. The story is really good and the length of the game is also perfect. The graphics are stunning and the game has a lot of detail. Just a bit disappointed that the characters are not the same as in the movies, but I know why they had to do it.

    Guardians of the Galaxy has an excellent story with strong character development accompanied by a fantastic soundtrack. The narrative is moving and filled with a masterful blend of seriousness and humor. There are several laugh out loud moments and several tear jerker moments. The combat is fun and plays smoothly. Overall, this exceeded expectations and is one of the best new titles of 2021.

Teammate AI is bad, they do very little in combat on their own and you have to kill most of the things yourself. Enemy AI is bad too as most of the time they attack you only, which brings back the aforementioned issue - Teammate AI is bad and they are merely decorations.

    The entire game has a lot of meaningless QTE, one small mistake and your restart from previous check point. (Yes, I am not blind and I know you can turn off the QTE, but why have them in the first place?) The entire game has a lot of meaningless dialogue choices as well, they don't do a thing in the story progress, and some of them have a system-set 'right' answer - guess what, when you pick the 'wrong' one, you restart from previous check point.

    Saving system is a joke, who in the developer team thought it is a good idea to combine manual save and auto-save into the same save slot?

    No, this is not a masterpiece as others have claimed, it is not a bad game as well. As I said, 6/10 at best.    … Expand

    Amazing story, Ambiance, colors. First time I saw the gameplay footage on youtube, I was like ''Meh it look terrible and not fun at all'' I give it a try and I can say, i'ts a lot of fun! I'ts not like every games, total fresh air.

    Easily my favorite game of the year. Perfect amount of combat and story. The story is also actually compelling which makes you want to advance it. I think this game is the definition of a perfect game.

    Went into this with such low expectations Based on how Avengers was, and only bought it on sale because I didn’t have anything else. Wow I was surprised. Action was awesome, story was great and even way better than the movies imho, acting was great, even small choices had funny or surprising consciousnesses. Basically everything I wanted from a great action adventure game.

    If you want a game to get your money's worth it's this game, on average it will take you about 24 hours ideally to finish it. What I mean by "ideally" means that there is replay value if you miss a skin or want to explore a different choice taken. Combat is nicely paced but you have to remember it's a companion RPG so you have to use the Guardians a lot to do significant damage. WARNING: Star-Lord is purposely weaker but in the next paragraph I will say how you will make him powerful so keep reading. NO MICROTRANSACTIONS need I say more? Humor some hits and some don't and the soundtrack is nice and expansive. There is minor issues that removes the immersion but the highlight word is "minor", so you will still have a good time.

    Things to know or missed:
    Throughout the game you will be given chances to pick up components that will allow you to unlock perks in workbenches where you ask Rocket to craft them, a thing to know is: It's okay if you miss a component there are many chances to get the components you need and you will have enough for the end of the game. If you are a streamer or youtuber there is a licensure music feature that will use different music in case if you are scared to be claimed or flag. YOU CAN MAKE STAR-LORD VERY STRONG and here's why: while lock on to enemies on your reticle that shows you the bars of your ELEMENTAL guns and that reticle would be mostly gray but depending on your distance it will switch to red meaning at that distance you will do a lot of damage and most of the time it's at a closer range making you vulnerable to be hit but you can dodge or have a Guardian to stun/root them. Another tip for Star-Lord while locking on again, next to the enemies health bar you will be given a symbol, that symbol either represents the 4 elements that you will get throughout the game or it can be regular blast or charged blast. Those symbols represents the enemy's weakness making the white bar to grow allowing a unique execution animation to be activated to do damage or to finish the enemy.

    Rev:
    This game came from the foundation of Final Fantasy 15 using your companions on the fly during combat but added to it using the unique talents of each companion to traverse the various worlds. The only thing that made the game barely a 8 out of 10 is because there is a lack of polish with audio, frame rates, and loose world structures where you would get stuck.

    Cons:
    I don't like the fact that the pacing of audio will overlap at times and most times cut off abruptly because you go to a new section of the level, the game has so much dialogue to learn more of the Guardians that the game can't pace it well. Unfortunately I had to stand still to let all the dialogue to finish then proceed because having the audio to cut off really removes me from the immersion. Frame rates was rare but when it happens, it happens hard and can be terrifying thinking you might crash. Most likely it will crash because it did to me like twice or sometimes the cut scenes freeze a bit then continues. The loose structures will sometimes blend Star-Lord to a structure (mostly metallic structures) making him stuck which leads to you to reload to the last checkpoint.

    Pros:
    The good parts of the game was the voice acting and the overall characters of the Guardians. A few of which I prefer have them in the movies than the ones we have in my opinion. Each character has their own backstory that you will learn overtime just by talking to them via artifacts or them standing alone pondering, resulting you as the leader to check on them and sympathize with them. The telltale aspect of the game is pretty interesting but the game is still linear which is quite compelling. You would make a choice at an earlier chapter and you will see the result later the game. Combat is like Final Fantasy 15 like I said earlier, but I like how they make Star-Lord a bit weaker than the others having you combine various abilities to take out the enemy. Fan service is huge if you explore deeply or even have the chance to experience it, or simply if you caught it. The worlds you explore, each world has it's own theme like the 2nd world is stormy therefore rich with plant life and Knowhere is this dark cyberpunk esthetic. The colors are so great from either in space or in the worlds you explore. Another pro is NO MICROTRANSACTION skins are unlock by finding them and a big soundtrack from streamers/ content creators and for the community.

    How to make this game 10 out of 10 (in my opinion):
    Do more polishing and make the pacing of the audio better either remove it , have more opportunities to talk to them, or expand the map so all the dialogue fits in it. I can see this game having multiplayer but for this to happen have each character play differently like mechanically different.    … Expand

    After the Avangers game and Spider man: Miles Morales my expectations were... to say they were low would be a immense understatement. Since I am a big fan of the GOTG movies I still gave it a try. And I am really amazed. They absolutely captured the chaotic and crazy humor and atmosphere of the movies.     The graphics are outstanding. All of the environments are well done and seeing the characters move through them each with individual animations is great. The facial animation is absolutely top notch and made me realize how much harder the emotional moments hit when you can see tears welling in someone's eyes. Impressive.

    The combat is pretty cool as well, it definitely pushes you toward using the other Guardians abilities which gets to be really fun without being overly complicated (four abilities each is perfect). I wasn't really a fan of the way they implemented the "huddle" feature because it grinds the combat to a halt when you start it. Once the music kicks in and everyone is boosted that is awesome, but maybe cut out the talking and decision making bit.

    Excellent music with some songs that really surprised me and fit perfectly with the Guardians vibe from the movies. The voice acting was mostly great-Star Lord's voice was really irritating for about three quarters of the game, but it grew on me by the end. For some reason he kept reminding me of Bill from Bill & Ted.

    The story was good, with lots of Guardians characters showing up and some real funny moments. The decision system does make me want to play through it again and I think It does help that the characters talk almost non stop while on every mission, even if it does lead to some cheesy lines and jokes that fall flat. It's a constant reminder that these are actual characters that you are traveling with and not just extra guns to have around.

    It should also be said that the game felt incredibly long. Every level seemed to stretch on forever without much narrative reason. I was really ready for the game to be over about half way through. It does have quite a few high points paced well throughout, but there are definitely bits that drag.

    The only other real quick PSA: I didn't like the character design for Gamora or Drax, there were times when it really brought the game down for me. But, in the early chapters (3&4) you can pick up their 2014 Movie outfits that are way better.    … Expand

    Die Charaktere sind sehr gut umgesetzt und sind näher an der Comic Vorlage als am Film. Auch der Humor und die Bindung zwischen den Charakteren ist sehr gut umgesetzt. Ebenfalls Top ist die Grafik und der Soundtrack. Überhaupt beim Soundtrack werden Kids der 80er große Augen bekommen.

    Die Charaktere sind sehr gut umgesetzt und sind näher an der Comic Vorlage als am Film. Auch der Humor und die Bindung zwischen den Charakteren ist sehr gut umgesetzt. Ebenfalls Top ist die Grafik und der Soundtrack. Überhaupt beim Soundtrack werden Kids der 80er große Augen bekommen.

    Game is great and a rare thing among third party releases. They taken the "Playstation" formula of story based third person action/adventure games and delivered a nice and especialy fun experience as it isn't as polished as a PS exclusive i equaly enjoyed this one cuz the funny dialogue and overall moments.

    Definetly a must play!

The dialogs are so awesome, I found myself smiling everytime I played, also quite or sad moments are well presented (Drax family) the graphic looks stunning, the gameplay is pretty cool (I play it now on Raytracing) maybe the second run I will do on performance mode. It does not match the movie setting but this is no big deal, it tells its own story (Gamora still looks good ;)great game!     Binge played it, the combat is a little repetitive but the lore and just amount of Easter eggs, story, fun, and honestly just amazing content in this game makes it a must play for Marvel fans

    there was nothing for the game. but the amazing dialogs, good gameplay and plot made me forget about the technical problems (potentially the game had its release well in advance). no doubt it would be a potential goty winner if it weren't for that.

    An epic adventure and one of the rare beacons of single-player games in all the puddle of **** online games. You will spend awesome 20-25 hours on very good and funny dialogs, cool story and soundtrack. I am loving this game. Though, personally, the "fighting gameplay" is not that interesting.

    Gameplay wise some people may not be into it too much. But for me, walking around, looking at the scenery and listening to the Guardians, I was satisfied. Combat can be very chaotic, however I played it on very easy, since I was there for the story and experience.
    Great thing about difficulty is that you have so many parametets to set. You can make it (combat) as difficult or easy as you want it to be.

    All in all, for all Guardians (and Marvel) fans out there, this is a fantastic storytelling game, a must have for the fan. Great!

    Since I became familiar with the Guardians, I am loving them. It also pleases me that they haven't got a bad game yet, would also recommend 'playing' the Telltale series. I really, really hope that there is a sequel to this game!    … Expand

The gameplay is weak at times and frequently buggy, where you can get stuck on walls or battle dialogue is related ad infinitum in the same fight etc. However, the acting is TOP NOTCH and the writing is absolutely a perfect pairing to the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie.     Engaging and funny adventure from beginning to end. I really enjoyed my time with the Guardians! Too bad it's only 4k30 though. I hope it gets patched before my next playthrough.

    Overall, I really enjoyed the game...I finished it after all. But there were some key moments that frustrated the crap out of me and took away from a fantastic start.     Been years since I laughed and felt so close to characters in a game! I absolutely love this, the delivery, the banter, the mentions and references. I'm not a big fan of comic book movies, but the game absolutely earned my heart. ITS METAL!

    Guardians of Galaxy are the real blast that Marvel fans needed after more than mediocre Avengers. The “worst” part of the game is a mere fact, that you are not able to enjoy every single comment in the background and enjoy very well written characters.

    The story is entertaining, and it features characters from the Marvel universe that haven't yet surfaced in the movies, such as Fin Fang Foom, Lady Hellbender and the Nova Corps. Add in the requisite humor and self-deprecation and an eclectic killer soundtrack, and you get one of the most enjoyable games of the year.
