    Good-
Excellent graphics; Improved animations; More skill-based controls and manoeuvrability.
Bad- Some undercooked minigames; Added (and some returning) elements with less functional impact such as Team Relocation; Occasional unrefined offensive running play mechanics; A lack of any truly impactful additions to the overall package in favor of making smaller improvements. Thoughts-

At the end of the day, Madden NFL 24 walks a fine line between creating value for returning players and actually doing something truly substantial with the series. Madden 24 might have the monopoly on NFL games, but comparatively, it doesn’t feel as bold as other sporting games in the marketplace. Madden NFL 24 will undoubtedly inch players closer to an authentic football experience with greater detail in on-the-field play, but it lacks even a modicum of freshness from a franchise that has felt mediocre for a few years now.

I personally don’t care for MUT but respect to those who do, thats what you like. I like franchise and its frustrating to see it be broken like this. As far as X’s and O’s go, I do like the gameplay. Running and blocking feels better but I have to give this a score of 0 because overall I’m just ready for a change and I want to possibly play an NFL 2k or NFL the show one day. Expand

When you say it's a "make or break year" and your menus are slow and your draft classes are brutal this is the score you deserve. People need to stop buying this game because this will continue to be the norm.

Madden keeps having the same animation as last year, the same glitches and same issue with tackling and running away from defender. Is sad that in 2023, Madden is having more problems with the game than PS2.

They will make sure to rush you into ultimate team so you can become addicted to buying packs and hoping for a few more good players so you can finally get over that hump and dominate.
You never will. Do this... Go into MUT H2H and set it to friends only. You will see that you AND your friends all win between 45 and 63 winning percentage. By the way, you can check this on any system and any year of ultimate team. That's to encourage you to buy those packs then you wonder why all your reliable players begin to play like garbage as the new card you just upgraded to is absolutely on fire. After a month the new players become trash. Time to upgrade again. In fact you spend money and get cards, do quicksells for training which is a currency that you can't buy in cash but obviously you spent money in some way to get those training points. Also the same with certain holiday promotions. To make one player you have to buy his whole collection of cards. It all adds up but in EAs bank account. The deluxe edition gives you some junk for the ultimate team mode, each loading screen tries to beckon you to ultimate team. Be prepared for glitches, the game will be controlled by pre-programmed animations that take the control away from you so that EA can make sure that everyone has nearly the same record. AGAIN, that ensures that you "believe" that buying a few more players will have you optimistic that you will begin to dominate, but you won't. As an example, you may have Deion Sanders as your #1 cornerback then you buy Sauce Gardner. All of a sudden Deion starts to under perform, time to buy a new #1 corner. This happens all over your roster until the next Madden is released then when it is time for the new Madden to come out EA makes everything essentially free on this one. That serves to give everyone the GOD squad. Everyone has the exact same team which takes the fun out of the game and makes you want to start over on the next edition... Rinse and repeat, year after year.

Definitely a slight improvement over last, but still a copy'n'paste turd sandwich. Game should be damn near perfect after 10+ years.

    - Presentation is lifeless
    - Players have no unique feel
    - Ratings/Depth Charts are a mess
    - Gameplay is heavily animation based and lack nuance
    - Lacks any sort of human element, it's robotic and soulless
    - Speed variation, acceleration, between offense/defense is a mess

Play the 10 hour trial and find out for yourself, it's objectively a terrible NFL sim that doesn't even succeed at being remotely fun in an arcadey sense. It's frankly sad that two companies (NFL & EA) that make money hand over fist collaborate every year on copy-paste game that leaves many fans feeling ripped off and deceived. Save your money unless you're easily impressed, absolute stinker.

You don't need player licenses if you use different names/numbers, and just build the historic teams to specification, and allow the player to edit the rest. Until the Frostbite engine is scrapped, and the series totally rebooted, I fear we're going to continue to get absolute mediocrity time and time and time again. Now to get into the game that they released it is a broken mess. Ultimate team is not even playable right now. Franchise mode has so many glitches it's not even funny which also makes it unplayable. They still can't get blocking right. Blocking logic is still nonexistent especially when it comes to pass blocking. The pocket forming is almost non-existent and even when the pockets there the blocking logic is just gone. But I guess what can you expect when you don't even have a guy that made a team in charge of making the game. Run blocking logic is still just as broken as they don't pick up the guys where they really should be. Still have players turning around running backwards towards the play instead of looking to get the next guy. Double team blocks are still broken as it's the most easily shed block in the game still. The game has been giving users input of passes being at a reach when it's with an distance away from the receiver and the receiver makes zero attempt to catch the ball. Physics-based gameplay as EA claimed is nonexistent in the game. It is still very much animation based. And when it comes to cross play they leave out the most important mode of the entire game being franchise mode. They have steered away from the most important mode for too long and it's become a broken shell of what it used to be. The NFL should be ashamed of partnering with a company like EA putting out this trash product year and year out. As long as EA continues to hold the exclusive rights to a simulation based NFL game they will continue to spit in our face and continue to ignore Community feedback and take the simple steps needed to make the game better. And it all starts with making the game over from scratch and get rid of the engine that they're currently using and it's not meant for this kind of game. But EA will just idly by and sit there and continue to do nothing about it. The NFL needs to drop EA from this because he refuses to give us a game that truly represents football. Don't waste your time with this game. Paying money on this game is like handing money over to frauds. EA has committed big time fraud with this game again. Clint should be embarrassed that he put out such a piss poor product once again. And let's not even begin to talk about their customer service. The customer service will sit there and do absolutely nothing but tell you everything you want to hear and then not do anything. You have already bought this game I would highly recommend you get your money back. Superstar mode you can't even use every single position like the mode used to be able to do. What a joke. John Madden would be rolling in his grave right now if he knew the poor state of this game. Expand

I've played about 10 games already and I love it! I haven't noticed one glitch yet in any of the games I've played! The gameplay also feels very smooth and franchise is the deepest it's been since Madden 12. I also love that mini games are back, and there's a ton of them, some new some old and improved upon. This is the most fun I've had playing Madden in a very long time!

Same old story every year. They have to build this game new from scratch and get rid of Frostbite. An animation based engine is not good for football games. Besides of that the "most polished Madden game of all time" is still glitchy, the UI is terribly slow and franchise mode is still superficial.

Stop buying this game until EA cares about the gamers.

There are too many bugs and glitches. This game crashed multiple times. The gameplay is beyond horrible. The physics are a joke. When I pressed the dance button to celebrate, my player laid on the floor like Margot Robbie did in that stupid Barbie movie.

Where is the freaking detail? The cutscenes are cringeworthy. For goodness sake, why do EA sport games continue to have these slow laggy menus? Enough already. Haven't bought a madden in a few years, quickly reminded why. Feels clunky and slow. AI defenders are constantly lost, giving up several yards of separation in man, and standing still in zone. Defenders can't seem to get off blocks in this one. Somehow it got worse than what it was a few years ago.

Madden NFL 24 does provide a pretty good simulation of NFL football when you’re on the field. The animations and AI are improved over last year, and the games are fun and challenging at the higher difficulty levels. I just wish that everything around the on-field action was overhauled. Ultimate Team needs to be revamped, and should look to Madden NFL Mobile for inspiration. The mini-games need to be reworked, if not totally removed. And, please build an interface that’s fast, easy to navigate, and gets you pumped to play some football.
