The only saving grace is that some of the elements it lifts from much better games are recreated adequately, so fans of those titles might find some of the fun of going to see a cover band of your favourite artist. You’ve likely not only played Immortals Fenyx Rising before, you’d played a better version of it.

Immortals impressed me. It’s an unexpected success, blending comedy and condensed open-world gameplay into one of the most entertaining games I’ve played this year. Even if the combat lacks some variety and the main quests are a bit stale, the rest of Immortals is fantastic. It takes the modern open-world game and compresses it into something easier to enjoy, covering the whole thing in colorful art, great humor, and a ton of puzzles. If, over the years, you’ve found yourself getting bored of big open-world games that strive to look hyper-realistic and feature 200 hours of quests, Immortals might just be the perfect alternative.

It’s not revolutionary but it’s so much fun . I even preferred it to assassins creed Valhalla , that felt like odyssey with a new coat of paint . The puzzles aren’t particularly difficult but that’s why I love it . I’m playing an RPG not a puZzle game. The characters are fun, story is really enjoyable too ,the levelling up system is pretty cool and the graphics are simply stunning . Loved the game ! Thanks Ubisoft! Full Review »

Some of the elements found in this game can be found in Breath of the Wild and several other game releases in the last decade. Yes this is another third-person open world adventure, and it is also set in a mythological setting. Its so far copied a decent chunk of games released in the past decade. Don't forget that Ubisoft just released Valhalla and Watch Dogs, this will mark the third open world adventure game, in only a few short months. There is a lot of complaints about this game, its almost like people don't have the consoles to play this game and don't want anyone else to experience it. Truth be told, this is a great game. I have yet to run into any frame drops, or notable loss of quality anywhere. The game is beautifully sculpted in every conseveable way. The story, told as you're progressing, told by Promethus to Zeus is as comedic as it is enticing. The pace of the game is fast and slow. Combat and movement is akin to Assassins Creed, but dumbed down, not much emphasis on stealth although that is an option. Progression in the game (unlocks) seem to come every mission, you'll feel stacked for battle within the first hour. Even after that attaining items doesn't feel like a chore and the puzzles some of the items are hidden behind do not take a degree to figure out, but may have you scratching your head for a moment. In true Ubisoft fashion there are locations on the map, and collectibles for you to find, these aren't required to beat the game but going for 100% completetion will require you to hunt these down. They're not as plentiful as they used to be, but will see you hunting for them none the less. If you want to think of it as a Zelda clone, do it, was Breath of the Wild a bad game? If its a clone there is no reason this game should recieve less than Breath of the Wild for a score. But I find it original and unique, while not a perfect game, it could easily eat up 20+ hours of your time, without making it feel like a chore. Full Review »
