    It's really an 8.5 out of 10. The movement doesn't feel as good as Ghost to me and there's no crazy innovation here but the game is still really fun and looks great. Also the performance mode has so much blurriness on my OLED even after the patch. There's plenty of do and explore, they really pushed to make this one better than the first. The open world feels dense and tries to get overIt's really an 8.5 out of 10.     FBW is the pinnacle of gaming atm. Very addicting and beatiful game. I love Aloy shes probably the best game character you play in single player game. I would hear every dialogue from her, i just love her personality and how she interact with others. Nothing edgy or annoying about her.     Gran secuela que mejora, en todo a su antecesor, excelentes gráficos, animaciónes y muy estable en sus dos versiones 30 o 60 fps, la historia es muy buena y el diseño de las misiones principales y secundarias son estelares. Tiene sus problemas como poping en algunas zonas y algún bug que no afecta la experiencia significativamente.

More than once I was in complete awe of the technical achievements, the fantastic twists in the story, and breathtaking scenery, the extraordinary creatures, and brilliant performances. For each shortfall I found in Zero Dawn, Forbidden West has an answer that I love,Horizon Forbidden West is the perfect sequel, and those who appreciated the first game will be well served by its sequel. More than once I was in complete awe of the technical achievements, the fantastic twists in the story, and breathtaking scenery, the extraordinary creatures, and brilliant performances. For each shortfall I found in Zero Dawn, Forbidden West has an answer that I love, or at the very least appreciate.

    The story is absolutely captivating. For the best experience, it is absolutely worth playing Horizon Zero Dawn, and for those who played it many years ago, worth jump in for a few hours for a refresh. The story of Forbidden West picks up directly after Zero Dawn, and though it does an excellent job of catching the player up on the overarching story beats, remembering the finer details and characters will make the sequel that much more impactful. Plus, being able to recognise the massive leap in technical quality also makes for an even more enjoyable experience.

    Of everything I am impressed by, the story is right up there. I am not forgiving of excessive cutscenes as a crutch for games, but every cutscene felt fruitful and seamlessly integrated, and more than once I found myself lost in the performances of the cast.

    I felt a strong pang of affection and admiration as the opening credits rolled, a feeling that persists as I play now 25 hours in. What Guerrilla have achieved is nothing short of a miracle, and I have enormous respect for the team that put this game in my hands.

    Note: despite reports of bugs and pop in, I only experienced 1 minor bug and 1 instance of pop in when racing. Otherwise, the game runs seamlessly on my PS5.    … Expand

I have seen complaints about there's too many options and skills trees and I think that is a very silly thing to be critical of. The point of so many options is to let people play how they want to play. You don't HAVE to do everything. Pick the play style that is most fun and excel in that way and don't worry about all the options. Simple as. I really hope the developers don't listen to dumb criticisms like that and understand the vast majority of people absolutely love this game. I've played 25 hours and feels like I haven't even scratched the surface.… Expand

    It's bigger, better, more beautiful, masterful voiceacting, improvement movement mechanics and gameplay across the board. Exciting story and cutscenes that truly blew me away in their delivery. This is how a sequel should be done!

    The game has some bugs and some people are having graphical performance issues on certain TVs (OLEDs seem to have some issues which GG said they are working on). But overall, its absolutely superb and I have not ran into any performance problems on the PS5 (running Performance Mode). Its much like the first except improved in nearly EVERY way possible. The narrative is solid. Characters are memorable and well done (though this can be subjective). Combat is even better and so satisfying. Graphics and physics are amazing! The world has SOOOO much detail and realism to it with the wind, the physics and how objects interact, the animations....everythings just feels immersive and excellent.

    There is a CRAP LOAD of unique content. Youre looking at a main story with side quests that take about 45 to 55 hours. But then probably another minimum of 30 hours of additional content. You could easily get lost in the world of Horizon for 80 hours minimum. 43 different machines all with subcategories and also a variety of Human enemies....just mind boggling to see a "vanilla" release game have this level of content thats not reused assets over and over.

    And my God! There is Gyro Aim!

    This makes the combat that much better once you get use to it. Its much more intuitive and easier to aim at specific parts quickly while moving.

    If GG can just clean up some of the bugs, improve a bit more the climbing and parkour (a little bit clunky right now) elements along with maybe how scavenging works, game would be a super strong contender for GOTY. Granted, it already should be up for nomination. I highly recommend this game.    … Expand

    I know review bombing will eventually happen but don't let that fool you. The first game was already great, but this one improves in every single aspect. I will be honest, there is a mistake... the fog in vast distances. However, let that aside and you got one of the best accion and adventure games ever, great music, great gameplay, great enemies, great story, etc.

    I've only played 8 hours but I'm doing every side quest, every errand, every mission. All of these are so well created and the incredibly detailed models of characters and cutscenes make them even more enjoyable. That I like as the previous game didn't have too many interesting quests. I'm not saying every quest is entertaining but even the ones which cause you more trouble are very rewarding as well. I also loved the addition of the valor surge abilites, which I can't wait to discover in combat. And the special gear like the Pullcaster is greatly introduced here. I can spend so much time just using the Pullcaster and the Shieldwing because they are so fun. Everything in this game is. So please, if by chance this game catches your interest, do not hesitate to get it. I promise it will be worth it.    … Expand

    Disclaimer, I am a completionist, only about 20% done with the game. Beginning with the graphics ... wow, this is the best-looking game I have seen next to Cyberpunk on an RTX 3080. The character models are superb, the environmental design is absolutely gorgeous, and the art direction is occasionally a bit oversaturated, but mostly breathtaking. That being said, I have seen a pop-in bugDisclaimer, I am a completionist, only about 20% done with the game. Beginning with the graphics ... wow, this is the best-looking game I have seen next to Cyberpunk on an RTX 3080. The character models are superb, the environmental design is absolutely gorgeous, and the art direction is occasionally a bit oversaturated, but mostly breathtaking. That being said, I have seen a pop-in bug (I spoke with a merchant's floating head for a time before the rest of his body joined in), but this was the first bug I experienced in about 15 hours of play. Forgivable considering how much this game has pushed the envelope. I definitely recommend the performance mode; 60 fps should be the standard in a game like this. Consequentially, you will get somewhat of a grainy look due to checkerboard rendering, which is again fine considering the quality of visuals on display. The PS5 cannot run this at a full 4K 60fps.

    The new element this game brings to the table which I haven't seen done to the same extent on any game to date is the acting conveyed with gestures, eye movements, and body language. Horizon sets the new bar for gestured interactions and its effect on story telling cannot be understated. Its set pieces play more like a well-directed movie than a video game. The story thus far also seems to be superb. Internally, this game focuses on Aloy's self-and-life-inflicted title to be a savior of the world and how growing up as an outcast with a real knowledge of what their world is automatically distances her from everyone. Externally, you see her and old friends interact as warring factions, including some from very advanced civilizations, fight for their reasons, while Aloy fights for the planet. The story telling is excellent and they do a superb job of having emotional set-pieces, making new worlds and encounters have completely different emotional notes, again more like a well-directed movie than a video game. The side quests are about the closest thing I have seen to Witcher level story telling; they take time to develop, have wonderful dialog and voice acting, and are interesting from a gameplay perspective.

    In regard to the gameplay, it mostly recycles the familiar formula from Horizon: skilled third person-based mini-boss encounters. You pick from Aloy's assortment of bows and land skilled shots while dodging some of the best enemy AI I have encountered. I would say the combat is somewhere between the realms of Monster Hunter World and Destiny. It is, in my opinion, the best combat system I have experienced in an open world game.    … Expand

    An amazingly fun, well polished, and beautiful game. Aloy is a fantastic protagonist and the twists and turns had me hooked. There are so many new, cool robot creatures to fight and control. Pick it up. It's worth the money.

    I literally had to stop myself from playing. The game is well done so far at around 12 hours in.
    I recommended following the main story path for the first 8 to 10 hours to unlock critical features.
    Story and pacing are well done so far and I have only experienced minimal bugs.

    About eight hours in,

    There's still some issues:

    -people talking over themselves
    -a warrior can't block attacks
    -climbing is much better..but i still say theres room for improvement
    etc etc

    This is a massive improvement, though.

    90% of the issues I could think of a month ago have been dealt with (melee combat, inventory, graphics, variety, traversal, etc)

    So far, 8/10

Combat system as in first installment is clunky (camera is too close, field of view is too narrow, Alloy's movement is slow, machines are too jumpy), even though there is a plethora of new moves and abilities. I recomend to ease combat difficulty to negate pointless number crunching part of the game. More thingsToo many pointless and annoying talking, commenting, chatting in background. I recomend to ease combat difficulty to negate pointless number crunching part of the game. More things to gather and craft, what for? It's not a survival or immersive sim. Half of the map is a boring desert, as in Zero Dawn.

    One of the best games I've ever played. It takes what HZD was good at and expands upon it in every way. The only gripe I have with the game is the climbing. Nowadays you're able to climb almost any way and any where without restrictions but being able to fly on a machine kind of makes up for it.. easily the best game playstation has to offer right now and game of the year candidate.     Fixed the mistakes from the first game and finally made the character animation look non-creepy. The melee combat is also way better now. Overall a good game, if you liked the first game this one is that but better.

    Poprzednia część bardzo mi przypadła do gustu, ale druga część tej gry to dosłowny opad szczęki.
    Jak ta gra wygląda to ile detali, efekty cząsteczkowe, efektowne walki z robotami. Ogólnie wszystko to co w poprzedniej części tylko poprawione, od grafiki, po mechanikę, czy prowadzenie historii, cudowna gra.

    Sou meio imparcial nesta nota, pois Horizon Zero Dawn é um dos meus jogos favorito da geração passada. Gostei muito da história, complementou o final do primeiro.     Sou meio imparcial nesta nota, pois Horizon Zero Dawn é um dos meus jogos favorito da geração passada. Gostei muito da história, complementou o final do primeiro. Joguei no modo qualidade, então a qualidade gráfica estava incrível, mesmo em 30 quadros (tv ajuda muito neste quesito).

    Since sony takes metacritic so seriously it should have psn integration to verify you OWN the game youre rating.     Horizon Forbidden West is an open world stellar, with beautiful detailed environments, characters, unique sci-fi story, heart, and loaded with plenty of fun and intriguing activities, and sight seeings that will always keep you entertained. If I can accurately score this game, it'll be a 9.5 out of 10. Superb!

    People have to be trolling putting 0s on this game. I’m 30 hours in without any bugs or issues on performance mode. I’ve heard it has bugs but what game now days releases without them? I’m hooked, game is beautiful and vast with fun enough game play to make me want to grab everything in the game to extend gameplay.

Only other games as good as this one are God of War and The Witcher 3, and it’s dlc. Nothing else touches this game. Way better than the original, which I lovedddd but was very flawed in my opinion. They redid a model for Rost from the last game…in the main menu, not a spoiler, and he looks like a totally different person just because the graphics are so much more realistic he looks like he could actually be a real person now. Way more so than before. It’s really put into perspective how much the graphics have improved. Melee is way way better. Adaptive triggers and haptic feedback on ps5 are a nice touch and not as gimmicky as I thought originally. Really adds immersion. I’m 31 and female and I’m so glad I got back into gaming a few years back to enjoy titles like this and God of War.… Expand

    Apparently no Indians or Latin people survive in this world. A lot of gay pride in the game.

    Best Game so far for the PS 5 !! With Ratchet and Clank together the best Graphics.When you liked the first Game this one you will love. For me a 9/10 but give a 10 cause of the 0‘os from people that clearly didn’t played the game.

The lightning, particles, the world building, and the impressive graphics shows how powerful Guerrilla’s game engine (Decima) is. The story is also a lot better than the previous game.     Me gusto mucho el juego, el combate mejoro bastante con respecto a la version anterior, la historia sin duda es lo mejor del juego, el clima y las particulas lucen genial.

    Really like the original game but i could not get into this one i found the story boring and i found Aloy obnoxious most of the time the way she treats people from the first game that helped her "no i don't need your help go away this is my fight blah blah blah" really turned me against her as a person.

    Absolutely love this game. I haven't fully finished it yet but have about 22 hours in. My two gripes are climbing feels off and it can feel weird to aim at times as the arrow doesn't go directly where the crosshair is pointing. I feel they have improved on everything and have made an absolute beautiful game. Can't wait to see what else it has to show me.

    As for the game, it’s amazing. The detail is outstanding, every scene is dense and packed. The story is intense and very deep, you will find yourself drawn to the story and loving the cutscenes. The side quests are just as addicting. The new traversal mechanics make the game so much fun. This game steps it up from Zero Dawn in every way. PLEASE give this game a chance, it’s a masterpiece and shows why Guerrilla is one of the best studios out there.    … Expand

    If you enjoyed playing Horizon Zero Dawn then you will have a blast with Forbidden West. The game improves on almost every aspect. The machines themselves were always fascinating to me so I’m always trying to explore and find out more about how this world came to be. At this point I’m only really excited for Sony first party games because you can clearly see how much care & attention goes into these games, no micro-transactions & games are identical to the previews/trailers. I’m only 7 hours into Forbidden Wests story & around 3 hours just exploring & fighting machines. I’m a picky person when it comes to the pace of the story but here I’ve had nothing but fun playing the game & I’ve only played for 10 hours., it was worth every penny for me & these are the type of games I would recommend to my friends/family. Now a message to Xboys who can’t stand seeing Playstation gamers happy & stick “Gamepass” in every conversation because thats all they have: Go Enjoy your “Halo” that is micro-transaction filled & milks you for every customization option, Enjoy your rentals on Gamepass, Enjoy scrolling through Google maps in Flight Sim, Enjoy the only good game you got in the last year+ of owning an Xbox Series X/S which is FH5 & Enjoy review bombing every Playstation game because you’re childish & can’t admit that the only focus of your Black Box is to milk you monthly for mostly old & maybe 4 new games.… Expand

    Horizon Forbidden West достойное продолжение Zero Dawn, она во всё превосходит первую часть. Боевая система притерпела немало изменений, открытый мир стал более живым. И самое главное, за что ругали первую часть - побочные задания! В сиквеле их стало интересно проходить и более того, они срежиссированы почти как основные задания.Horizon Forbidden West достойное продолжение Zero Dawn, она во всё превосходит первую часть. Боевая система притерпела немало изменений, открытый мир стал более живым. И самое главное, за что ругали первую часть - побочные задания! В сиквеле их стало интересно проходить и более того, они срежиссированы почти как основные задания.

    I'm already in love, is better than Zero Dawn in every aspect, especially the story. The world, the soundtrack, the graphics, the cutscenes, etc... are so detailed, it's crazy. Sony started 2022 kicking the front door as hard as it could.

Samozrejme nájdu sa tu veci, ktoré mne osobne nesadli, no všetko to prerazil prekvapujúci príbeh, sympatická hlavná postava, množstvo obsahu a post apokalyptickou atmosférou presiaknutý rozľahlý svet, ktorý vás pohltí.     Horizon has enchanted me again. After a slow start, a graphically beautiful, sophisticated sequel comes, polished in every aspect, and underscored by a great soundtrack on top of that. The sequel was simply a success. Everything that worked before works even slightly better now. [Issue#317]

While it's totally worth fans jumping in on day one, it's perhaps better to wait a few weeks until all the bugs are ironed out.

    Horizon Forbidden West is exactly what everyone thought it would be: an amazing game. It has an open world with plenty of things to do and places to explore, fights against some really well-developed machines and stunning visuals. The feeling is that the second game of the series improves on what was already great, and it feels rewarding and fun to play. It is another single-player masterpiece from Sony.
