    This game is better than first game.Horizon is the best game in graphic for now.Of course the play has a bugs but i know and u know that bugs will be fixed in first update of game (without an update of first day)
    I hope that this will be a game of the year.
    The plot of the game for the first part of the game is awesome.And i wanna get a platinum in this game

    This review is with 20 hours under my belt over the last three days. And this is off 478h in H:ZD.
    First up is is simply drop dead beautiful. The amount of detail underfoot can NOT be understated. and even in resolution mode it runs solidly. (but TBF I was never one to subscribe to 60fps as a necessity)

    The characters and animations are vastly improved from the first one, especially the NPCs With Chainscrape's Cook and the Seriously annoyed/'done with it' Carja Soldier being highlights. And the writing/acting has has me laughing out loud on several occasions, which is not something I expected to be doing much of seeing how dark and depressing H:ZD's story was. Also Boomer worries me. (you'll see)

    Gameplay wise it's a case of same but different.

    I was disappointed to find that the 'lure' skill doesn't seem to be in existence any more. You get a lot of the old skills as default (like critical strike and silent strike...) so I really wanted to get back to lurking in the tall grass luring machines away from the heard to take them out silently. But no.

    I've actually come to the conclusion that this is a brilliant move as it makes separating and isolating machines more a matter of understanding how the machines act. you have to observe them and note how they respond to thinking they've seen something. You can use rocks (and the new inventory system means you are not gonna run out of rocks) to attract their attention, or just pop your head up when it's looking in your direction before taking cover again this will peek its curiosity and it could well stroll over to have a better look. This change for the better is also applicable to removal of the 'stealthomiter' (the are you hidden and how much noise are you making indicator). you can never be 100% certain you are fully hidden or that you are making minimal noise, and TBH that is how it should be.

    Anyway It's a Great game and will be a generation defining one.    … Expand

    Not much needs to be said that hasn’t already been said by the honest reviews in this community. This game is almost perfection. The story is intriguing. The combat is fluid. The sound direction is on point. The voice acting is top notch. The graphics are the best out there on any platform.     The improvment over the first are so numerous that my review cannot contains everything... I also wanna apologize for my non native english. It's not my primary langage so I'll try my best.

    Let's start with some physics. Ennemies have now more movements and mechanics. The machine are also more complex and detailed.     Let's start with some physics. Ennemies have now more movements and mechanics. The machine are also more complex and detailed. Same for Alloy she's incredibly more dynamic she moves more instead of just rolling in front of her in different directions like in HZD now she actually moves her body to the left and right instead of always the same canned animation. She also go over the top of rocks with is arms and many other things we didn't had in HZD. The interaction with the environments is also day and night for the machines and everything they do.

    There's more effects in your controller especially when playing on ps5. The haptic feedback make you feel everything surrounding you explosions, footstep, enemies shooting at you. You can feel it all over the controller unlike HZD where it was just a basic vibration. Actually it's not fair to compare with HZD since the game doesn't had the haptic feedback technology but even if you play on a ps4 you'll see there's much more feedback in every department of the game.

    Bows shooting mechanic and sounds were trash in HZD. The sound and feeling when shooting an arrow was clunky and this too big white line effect following arrows was unrealistic and very annoying. Now they changed the mechanic to make it more satisfying. The sounds of the bow when shooting isn't the same anymore it's closer to a real bow and just better done. It's also insane to see the bow shaking right after shooting an arrow. No more big white line effect following arrows now. This effect is still there but not as vivid and big likwle the first one and that's why its so much more satisfying in HFW. It was my major complaint in HZD cuz those details are very important to me. There's also the adaptadive trigger who makes the shooting so damn satisfying. There's a pressure when pushing r2 plus a solid vibration when releasing the arrows just like it would be in real life. Again it's not fair to compare ps4 version and ps5 version but again even on a ps4 the bow shooting mechanic are better. Sounds and reaction of bow and the arrows flying to ennemies and all those stuff well you don't need a ps5 to see that. But the best way to play that masterpiece is obviously with the ps5. Shooting with a bow in a third person view game never been that satisfying.

    Melee attack animation are different now. She swimg all over the place her spear faster with more brutality and the sound of metal it make when hitting a machine GODDAMN IT.. Jesus **** Christ... What an improved sound. But one thing I dislike is that she slide to enemies when she's at 3 meters from them when you do a melee attack that's my only complaint about melee attack.

    Graphics textures lightning effects are obviously improved. Despite a problem with the resolution on performance mode graphics and details still better than HZD and probably one of the most beautiful game out there. When they will patch the resolution problem the graphics will be even better I can't imagine how insanely crazy it will be.

    I will stop here cuz I can't just continue there's too much things I could say about it. First game was good but it's one of those rare case where absolutely everything is better in the sequel.

    My real note is a 9/10 but I put a 10 just to increase the score cuz all the troll who put ridiculous note like 5 or 0. Probably lot of Xbox fanboy in those notes.    … Expand

    A true masterpiece. Finally something decent on the market. The story is interesting, narration is a huge step-up, combat is exciting and unpredictable, UX is very good, animations are wonderful and the graphics are unlike anything I have ever seen before, Demons Souls being very close here. So far I had zero bugs and glitches or I simply didnt notice any.

    I played the first game and now the sequel. Forbidden West did not disappoint. The world map encourages exploring every nook and cranny before progressing to the next section of the map. Side quests were satisfying and meaningful and had me setting aside the main quest to look for more people to help. I can't wait to see what Guerilla Games comes up with next.

    Never mind the console wars dumbasses review bombing the game without even looking at it.
    The game is an advance on the original in every single aspect. The story is a natural sequel, and as in the first, solid, well written, and without plot holes, "magic" or gray areas. Just solid Science Fiction writing that would shine even as a book. The acting is solid and very convincing.
    A heartfelt 10.

Missões secundárias foram melhoradas e não estão incansavelmente chatas e repetitivas, fora o sistema de nado em baixo da água que é simplesmente extremamente bem feito. Uma pena que fanboys tão burros do Xbox não aceitem isso e floodem o game com notas bomb. The music is good, although it tends to be dramatic sometimes, the sounds of nature add a lot, the voice performance is generally good, especially Aloy, and the scenes are only flawed by the expressions of the characters sometimes and the fact that some of the dialogues are clumsy. Machine combat is also unique, each machine has weaknesses and shields that you can destroy and even use the weapons on the machines. You always have the option of stealth, as well as your spear, various arrows and traps, and after you get the ability you can even tame them and fight with them. There is a great diversity in the environment, there are forests, snowy areas, deserts, rocky areas, tropical forests, beaches, and the cycle of night and day gives beautiful views, especially dawn and sunset, and you can move around this world walking, climbing, riding, swimming and even diving. The game covers everything we're used to, there's stealth and fighting humans and machines, there's riding machines and using the sail to get off the hills (though rarely needed), hook, puzzles, and an open world with side missions, challenges, and mini-games. There is also a gathering of supplies and the manufacture of stocks and tools. You have a hall and gather allies as the game progresses, it is your main center and evolves with time. It's a touch we've seen in games like Guardians of the Galaxy and Mass Effect and gives you a greater connection to the game world. In it you constantly discuss with your allies and help them in their missions. Negatives The game lacks refinement compared to other publisher games, the graphics are not as clean as Ratchet & Clank games, Ghost of Tsushima and some details, such as grass or sunlight between trees or entire objects such as a gate, appear and disappear suddenly when you approach it, there are also some technical errors such as the lack of a button On-screen interaction despite his work, was not smooth at the beginning of the movie scenes and my character was stuck more than once in the world. The combat may be the highlight of this game, but fighting the bosses, usually several machines in an enclosed space, gets frustrating sometimes due to the angle of the camera and the fact that some of the blows may come from outside the camera angle.     Game is definitely a step up from the original. The care and detail done regarding the graphics and open world interaction is just amazing. Especially considering it is a multi - gen title. Kudos to the team, great work, I'll definitely take my time through this one and and just enjoy it all.

    Another great game by Gorilla games, Horizon Forbidden West is a huge leap forward in terms of graphics, gameplay, story, characters ETC. The world details and design are absolutely incredible! Performance on a PS4 PRO is pretty good as well.

    I am halfway through the game and so far I’m loving it. It manly built up what was already perfect from the first game and just added more into it. I did wish that they would change the design of the map, weapon wheel, and some other UI. If anyone is picking up this game and did not enjoy the first game don’t purchase because it builds off the first game.     Fantastic story, gameplay practically the same from scratch but there are many new things in the gameplay, a world that you have a lot to explore, incredible graphics.
    This game is great everyone should play it.
    obviously you have bugs, but they don't hinder you in the gameplay

    HFB to kontynuacja idealna. Kazdy jeden, najmniejszy fragment gry zostal poprawiony. Walka, perki, mimika postaci, cut scenki, fabula, konstrukcja zadan, nowe aktywnosci i wiele, wiele innych. Grafika juz teraz wyrywa z kapci i wypala HDR w telewizorze, az strach pomyslec co bedzie jak studia Sony zaczna robic gry dedykowane tylko PS5. Absolutny must have i mocny kandydat do GOTY.

    Horizon Forbidden West is a great sequel. I liked Zero Dawn a lot. Guerrilla Games did a lot to improve an already great open world game. I probably would give it a 9/10. I will support this game and franchise because I am sure it will be review bombed by Xbots and Trolls.

    Takes all the problems of the first game and fixes them. The biggest change being that all conversations are dynamically animated and the story is told in a much more engaging way that has really gripped me. The gameplay is fantastic and you really have to master the different systems to effectively play on the hardest difficulty.

    Graphics are better, side quests are improved, some quality of life features like more slots on weapons wheel and crafting without needing menus.
    A bit buggy here and there and platforming can use some work but overall a very good contender for goty so far.

You will find better quests, a more dynamic weather and combat system and everything else from Zero Dawn has been improved upon. I have to give special props to the motion capture tech, actors and the facial animators; the animations and facial features all are top notch.     Forbidden West improves on the original in almost every conceivable way. With twists and turns that keep be players invested in the sci-fi plot while being free to roam a world full of side quests and secrets. The combat and mechanics are solid yet fluid and the visuals are to die for. An amazing feat!

    If you are a fan of Horizon Zero Dawn, this sequel builds on the first installment in ever way possible.
    The visuals are stunning, the gameplay is smooth and the story is addictive. Even the side quests are fantastic.
    Combat can occasionally still feel rather clunky and I've experienced some pop in with trees, etc in the open world. But this game is superb and I recommend it to anyone.

If the pieces animated like “real” machines or something, it might be better. It’s just a bit boring, and it’s hard to make our which pieces are which even on a 50” 4k tv. That’s so minor though- who cares, you don’t have to play it. The game would be a 10 if there weren’t a few things that lacked polish, and a few more bugs than I typically see in a Sony first party game. Usually you can depend on nearly flawless games on day 1, as it should be. However, they’re not anywhere near game breaking or experience ruining. There are just a couple of things where you’re like, huh, this might have been a bit rushed. Blame the pandemic. Anyway, Forbidden West has much more to see and do than Zero Dawn, and while it lacks some of the mystery in Aloy’s outcast beginnings and the history of the machines, once the game opens up beyond the starting area you begin to understand the scope of changes for the better. Once you’re gliding down from those cliffs with your shieldwing and you’ve spent enough skill points, you’ll get it.… Expand

    Great game, if you liked zero dawn you will love forbidden west. The mechanics in this game are all fleshed out. The game has a lot to do and is very pretty. Aloy ventures into a new land that was mentioned before in zero dawn. Bringing new clans and enemies with a lot on new robots. It’s great.

It has an open world with plenty of things to do and places to explore, fights against some really well-developed machines and stunning visuals. The feeling is that the second game of the series improves on what was already great, and it feels rewarding and fun to play. It is another single-player masterpiece from Sony.
