    Purchased on PS5. Zero Dawn was an amazing game. Forbidden West improves on it in every way. Visually stunning. Fun, interactive combat. Massive world with plenty of secrets to explore. Engaging story. Don't miss this one.

    Had to register because of unfair ratings from trolls. The developers did not promise us some kind of revolution, they promised us a good sequel to a good game from 2017. This is what we got. Why drown the game in bad ratings, if this game is objectively 8-8.5 points? Are you envy? In a few years it will be released on PC and you will be able to play it too.

    The game was amazing, coming from a guy who usually plays Xbox my buddy let me play this on his PlayStation5 and I had a blast. At first there were a few bugs but they were hilarious. There was one that was kind of frustrating when we fell through the ground but that was the only huge frustrating bug but it only happened once (recently asked my friend a few days later and he said it stillThe game was amazing, coming from a guy who usually plays Xbox my buddy let me play this on his PlayStation5 and I had a blast. I’ve seen a bunch of angry xbox fanboys who created new accounts to review the game badly even though they didn’t play it. so I’d thought I’d do the opposite. Anyway back to the game. It is GORGEOUS, like Forza horizon 5 level gorgeous. The story was very intriguing as well and my friend and I were super interested in the story. (We both never played Zero Dawn as well) I’m not a huge dinosaur guy but the way they are portrayed in this game is AWESOME. In my personal opinion it’s not enough alone to buy a ps5 (unless you pair it with other awesome Sony exclusives) but if you already own a ps5 and or ps4 I HIGLY RECOMMEND THIS. I only scraped the tip of the ice berg of all this game has to offer. Definitely worth it though. You NEED to experience this game for yourself… Expand

    I was already raging at a 88 /100 cause this game deserve the goty.. Its a masterpiece.. And now the user score is 7~8 its unacceptable.. **** xbox fanboys and haters they are hating and rating 0s for no reason at all every comment is unbelievably stupid and have no meaning

    Continuação aprimorou a parte da mecânica e controle das maquinas a história prende do começo ao fim, pena pelos mongoloides donos de Xbox que deram notas baixas, esses retardados na maioria nem jogaram o game, e a galera do PC pode esperar baita jogão, recomendo.

    Honestly loved this game. On PS5 experience very few glitches. The attention to detail, graphics, voice work, world design, all amazing. This game is well over 100 hours of fun, can't wait to now complete every side mission. For PS5, it's up there with Ratchet and Clank, as one of best games for the new generation systems.

Imagine copying the word of a malding ubisoft dev on twitter and reviewbombing with this wrong statements.

    The game is an excellent evolution to be one of the best and important sequels of the PlayStation studios. Upgraded graphics using the newest graphics and ps5 technology available.     Amazing graphics but i got boring after playing 5 hours. First water mechanics are pretty bad and buggy as **** specially when it force you to explore deep water, ps5 controller have alot of lag input ....walking around feels slow and empty sometimes...the game try to be very heavy rpg with alot to learn...

    I have loved zero dawn as well, and I was worrying that the Forbidden West can't keep it fresh or be as original as Zero Dawn. I was wrong. This game is a work of art, probably the best game I have ever played, and I am not a young gamer. I have bought PS5 especially for this game and it was worth it. The graphics is...by far the best I have ever experience with any game, even inI have loved zero dawn as well, and I was worrying that the Forbidden West can't keep it fresh or be as original as Zero Dawn.     Without a doubt one of the best game graphics visual in console, the gameplay is great & fun, story is decent. Side quests aren't boring and characters animation are way better than HZD.

    Aunque aún no lo he termina me parece que supera al primero en todo, gráficamente me parece de los más top que hay ahora mismo, un gran avance en las mecánicas de juego, detalles en el juego enfermizos , sin duda si tienes una Ps5 no dudes en jugarlo, hay algún bug chorra pero nada que empañe la experiencia y que no puedan solucionar en algún parche .

    A huge leap from the previous Horizon : Zero Dawn (which was already somewhat groundbreaking at its own time) - one can tell that Guerilla Games have put a lot of love in this, and really listened to player's feedback in order to fix the less great things that were somewhat annoying in the previous game. Every mechanic feels like it has been hugely improved, and there are a TON of new onesA huge leap from the previous Horizon : Zero Dawn (which was already somewhat groundbreaking at its own time) - one can tell that Guerilla Games have put a lot of love in this, and really listened to player's feedback in order to fix the less great things that were somewhat annoying in the previous game. Every mechanic feels like it has been hugely improved, and there are a TON of new ones to experiment with (loving the glider, the "metroidvania"-type upgrades, and generally the really cool progression tree). But in all honesty, what really shines is the quality of the narrative, and mainly the side-narratives to the main story. Each of these quests seems to have been crafted with so much attention that it's really easy to forget we're doing side quests, as all of them are as or more compelling that the actual main story - which is already hugely compelling. The world is huge, full of mystery and genuine exploration (wink wink BOTW influence). This is the first PS5 game that really made me feel like we're living in next-gen, well done Guerilla team!… Expand

    And finally when things became more or less stable I continued with the game to distract my attention for news. So after almost 90 hours in game I've got the platinum trophy and it's like finishing a great book or good movie – I don't want to farewell this world.

    The game is much bigger and complex than first part, quests are written in Witcher style so there are no courier missions. And what is great that almost all side quests are connected somehow with the main story so they are treated very consistent. Graphics is probably the best in open world games. Combat system was awesome in Zero Dawn. Here it is even better and more complex. You can beat the game with just default bow and arrows or you can use all kinds of way to destroy machines. It's up to you and that's great.

    So looking forward for 3rd part which will be PS5 only so nextgen so can't even think about how it will look :)    … Expand

    O jogo é espetacular, um dos melhores que já joguei até hoje. O primeiro eu já tinha gostado muito, esse novo, o Forbiden West, conseguiu evoluir em tudo em relação ao antigo. Tanto na questão de gráficos, jogabilidade, história etc. Parabéns a Sony e a Guerrilha por mais essa maravilha. Nota 10!

    Best current gen game by far. an amazing achievement in gaming. Best looking game on current gen by far. Side quests feel like main quest, loads of content to go through. Set the bar for games very high.

    Thanks Guerrilla Games for such an amazing sequel. I have finally finished the main quest, but there is a huge bunch of many side quest left, so this game haven't been finished for me yet. I won't be spoiling anything about the story, all I would say that the story improved in a better way and a way greater than Zero Dawn. The fighting system and the abilities you can use against robotsThanks Guerrilla Games for such an amazing sequel. I have finally finished the main quest, but there is a huge bunch of many side quest left, so this game haven't been finished for me yet. I won't be spoiling anything about the story, all I would say that the story improved in a better way and a way greater than Zero Dawn. The fighting system and the abilities you can use against robots and humans are so enormous that I can be still confused what to use, but that is actually fun. The world in Horizon is so damn beautiful that I don't want to do anything, but to stand on some cliff and just look at this beauty. So, my conclusion is that I'm going to give this game maximum scores, I've encountered several bugs in this game, but they weren't critical (as someone wants them to look like) and didn't ruin my enjoyment of this game, so I wish developers to have good sales and I'm already looking forward to seeing and playing the third part in this series.     This is amazing, GG thought of many details and brought a nice evolution to the new title. Exploring the forbidden west is wonderful, every moment I find myself taking pictures of beautiful places, truly breathtaking.

    The graphics are the best I have ever seen, the world is full of things to do which is a good thing, the main story is not the best but its still interesting, the thing that dont like is the combat. Its just not interesting to always be trying to hit the weak points, for me is boring. But at the same time is a fantastic game.

    To me it was a repetitive glitchy mess with boring side quest. I also felt like I was being guided around with little challenge. I did like the first game though. This one was not a great sequel.

    One of the best games released in recent memory , some of the best writing , lore , graphics , gameplay, performances , animation work I've ever seen , plus attention to detail is crazy , weather effects are some of the best I've seen, recommend playing in performance mode barely any difference but locked 60 fps

    Horizon Forbidden West is absolutely perfect on PS5! I have not enjoyed gaming like this since I was a child! The world is so beautiful! And the story aswell! Just wait till you get to the Utaru capital! It’s absolutely breathtaking!

    9/10 because I absolutely hate this trend of having tons of chests and boxes you have to open everywhere you go. Other than that Forbidden West is everything I ever wanted from a Horizon game.

    So much improvement over the first game! The world is breathtaking, and the character development and interaction seems much more genuine and less cheesy this time around. The combat feels great as well. My only wish is for some work to be done on the performance mode…I’d love to play this game in 60fps if the resolution didn’t take quite as big of a hit.

Bugged quests, bugged npcs, bugged enemies, Aloy has broken hair physics all the time, and lots and lots of minor stuff. HZD was clearly better in that department.

    - Clunky controls
    Playing the game feels way worse now. Its still not bad but not nearly as smooth as HZD. Lots of stuff has weird controls, for example you have to awkwardly jump up to activate your grappling hook, and when you want to drag stuff with it you cant move by yourself. Wtf? Combat is imprecise due to a missing lock on system, puzzling is often very tedious, climbing is janky, and diving is a hot mess with a broken camera.

    - No next gen graphics
    As the title reads, the graphics are good for a PS4 game but native PS5 games like Rift Apart or Demon´s Souls are outclassing HFW. The game doesnt look much better than HZD five years ago.

    - The Zelda BotW ripoff glider sucks
    Its slow, the flying animations look terrible, and the open world simply doesnt provide the verticality to use it effectively. BotW is the most vertical open world game ever and even had insane stuff like downhill paths that where play tested to have the perfect angle so you can smoothly glide over them. HFW doesnt have any of this. The glider is so useless that I often forgot it existed.

    - The Witcher 3 Gwint ripoff minigame is boring
    The presentation is stale, it lacks good music, and there arent nearly enough people to play against. You cant play during missions or against other characters. Its bare bones compared to Witcher 3 or RDR2 minigames.

    - More bad story
    The weakest aspect of HZD was its weak story with poor writing and generic characters, so in HFW you have way more story with way more boring dialogue and fifteen minute long cut scenes. Its often very annoying. Skip Skip Skip.

    - Identity politics
    I rarely complain about these things, Im a tolerant person and I think everyone should get a fair and equal chance. But in this game its just aggravating. HFW makes almost every white person in the game look like an unsympathetic prick. Most of the population in this game is black/hispanic/asian anyway but almost every time you seen a white man or woman they have a very ugly or evil face and voice and they do dumb and evil things. Why? HZD handled this much better.

    -Price tag
    This game is $80 on PS5, which is a straight up scam because the PS4 version is $70 and contains a free PS5 upgrade. There is no point in buying the PS5 version at all. Besides that no game should be $80. I bought this game for $25 on discount. Dont buy $80 games!

    Summary:
    They tried to make the sequel bigger and better, with more features and stuff to do, but all they came up with was copying other games while they made the things that made HZD a good game worse. Also the PS4 is probably holding the game back but that doesnt excuse all the technical issues. The game still has good graphics, gameplay and exploration. But it just seems game developers can go to the best universities and learn how to make the best graphics and animations, but talent and genius like the teams behind Zelda and Elden Ring have is something you cant learn anywhere. This game isnt a masterpiece, its a fairly solid entertainment product but nothing more. And it lacks the novelty from the first game. 7/10    … Expand

    Gráficos simplesmente lindos a água do jogo é uma lindeza que não tem oq comparar , jogabilidade ótima, não tive nenhum bug na minha jogatina , esse jogo faz eu sentir que estou na nova geração, não zerei o jogo ainda mas a experiência que tive até agr é muito positiva.

    I've seen many complain about the game. Not sure what they are experiencing, however my experience with HFW has been amazing. Love the story and gameplay. Not seen any of the bugs many are seeing.

    Visuals:
    There are two settings, one that favors resolution and the other that favors performance. I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would play this game on Resolution mode because it runs terribly. Its supposedly capped at 30fps but it certainly doesn't feel like it. It definitely feels like it dips way lower than that. Its simply unplayable on when you favor resolution. Its very poorly optimized.

    The Performance mode however, runs flawlessly. Its steady at 60fps and the game generally looks stunning. I say generally because there are noticable hiccups especially around the Blight. The red fizzing and static effect that appears only on Performance looks awful. There's some grainy looking textures in the dense grass areas and other environments. Its not the best looking game BUT it's still absolutely beautiful. There are some areas that made me pause to just take in the environment. Really beautiful stuff the artists have come up with for sure.

    Gameplay:
    Combat is so much better than it's predecessor. Theres more versatility with the inclusion of Valor forms. There's combos that deal devastating damage and of course your bows and other weapons all feel amazing to use. A lot of the animations were reused but that isnt a bad thing for me. If it's not broken don't fix it. There's enough newness to the game that it feels fresh and different even though some of it is still the same from the previous game. Overall, gameplay is what you would expect if you played the first game. Its just more refined now with some new flair. I love it.

    Story:
    I've not finished the story but so far it's coherent enough to keep me interested. Some new characters were just revealed to me that made it even more so. I won't say much other than, its a very enjoyable ride so far. Side quests are fun as well. Some of them are kind of dumb but most are great and really have substance that make me feel like I'm playing the main quest when I'm just doing side quests. There isn't much to complain about here.

    Overall impressions:
    So far I'm very happy with the game. At the end of the day, we just want to kick back and play some videogames. This is just another great example of one of those games that really make you want to get off work early so you can jump back into it. It’s an improvement over the first game in EVERY way. Fighting humans is a lot more fun now (was the most boring part of the first one).     Tudo que havia no Zero Dawn, agora foi aprimorado em Forbidden West. O visual está deslumbrante, a gameplay está muito fluida. A história é excelente. Esse jogo é uma obra prima!

    Aloy has become an anoying **** charecter that just complains the whole time even months after release, game still had gamr breaking bugs. Very dissapointed aszero dawn was one of my all time favourites.

    Increíble experiencia de juego, el juego con mejor aspecto, en cuanto a gráficos, que jamás haya visto, una banda sonora y un diseño de audio maravillosos. La historia es impredecible y atrapante. Guerrilla no defraudó una vez más al llenar las piezas faltantes del primer juego.

    The game mechanics are enjoyable. It gets ruined by the classic political agenda that cannot stay away even from post-apocalyptic games. Character development is inexistent and secondary characters are empty. Side quests have an amount of dialogue both unnecessary and pretentious.

    Almost perfect! The story (in my opinion) feels a little old. I know it's a direct sequel and thus a continuation but hard to live up to the originality of the first. Beautiful graphics on my old, launch day PS4 so I can imagine how pretty it is on a pro or PS5. Worth all of the waiting!

    Horizon has enchanted me again. After a slow start, a graphically beautiful, sophisticated sequel comes, polished in every aspect, and underscored by a great soundtrack on top of that. The sequel was simply a success. Everything that worked before works even slightly better now. [Issue#317]

    Horizon Forbidden West is Guerrilla's best game to date, taking Aloy to new heights with a blockbuster release that meets the high standards set by PlayStation in recent years. While it's totally worth fans jumping in on day one, it's perhaps better to wait a few weeks until all the bugs are ironed out.

    Horizon Forbidden West is exactly what everyone thought it would be: an amazing game. It has an open world with plenty of things to do and places to explore, fights against some really well-developed machines and stunning visuals. The feeling is that the second game of the series improves on what was already great, and it feels rewarding and fun to play. It is another single-player masterpiece from Sony.
