Nov 10, 2023Headbangers: Rhythm Royale is a refreshing addition to the battle royale genre. Bringing bright and goofy vibes, Headbangers is ideal for someone with a taste for rhythm games and is looking to embrace multiplayer chaos. Although the core mechanics of each mini-game are essentially the same, they have been implemented in a variety of creative and silly ways. That being said, hopefully future updates to the in-game season pass will bring additions to the level roster to avoid gameplay becoming too repetitive.

Oct 27, 2023Colourful, ridiculous and great fun, we’ve had a whale pigeon of a time with Headbangers: Rhythm Royale. Giving a musical twist the battle royale genre works surprisingly well, making a multiplayer game that’s more accessible than most – even if you’re not super competitive. We do wish there was a way to play locally – this would make an excellent local party game – but the inclusion of bots means the game can stay alive even if its playerbase dwindles. We hope it doesn’t, though.

Nov 2, 2023Headbangers: Rhythm Royale is an interesting blend of simple rhythm and silly battle royale gameplay that’s both fun yet accessible. Its 23 minigames might not be unique, but they’re fun in short bursts. It’s great for all kinds of players, too! I’m interested to see how things evolve in the coming months, but in the meantime I’ll be having my pigeon bang his head to the beat.

Oct 30, 2023Headbangers: Rhythm Royale is a fun and unique take on the battle royal formula, but a lot of the rhythm minigames just feel way too similar.

Oct 27, 2023Other than the online tournament mode, it's a bare bones experience. Longevity of this will hinge on future content and more diverse play options (couch co-op in particular). In its current state, though, the bite-sized events offer a welcome alternative to the rat race of other party royale titles.
