    Worst remaster ever, and it costs 60 full dollars! What a scam! Too many glitches and performance issues, not to mention not being able to play the games on PC due to the exclusivity to the Rockstar's bad launcher instead of making the game available on better launchers like Steam!

While I did not expect the same performance that you might find on the PS5 or Xbox series S or X, the Nintendo Switch version was worse than playing San Andreas on my Xbox one without the “remaster”.     I believe that this game could have been amazing if it weren’t for rockstar hiring the same people who had butchered the 10th anniversary HD remaster. Rockstars response to fans has been quite cold, considering that we’re the ones that has gotten them to where they are today.     An absolute disgrace and insult to us gamers that grew up with these iconic games. It's essentially Rockstar throwing a bone to us until they ever decide to release GTA 6. I finished the "definitive" editions of both GTA 3 and Vice City and man they were terrible. The only nice thing objectively would be that some surfaces like the floors, some tunnel walls, etc. do look very HD but theAn absolute disgrace and insult to us gamers that grew up with these iconic games. It's essentially Rockstar throwing a bone to us until they ever decide to release GTA 6. I finished the "definitive" editions of both GTA 3 and Vice City and man they were terrible. The only nice thing objectively would be that some surfaces like the floors, some tunnel walls, etc. do look very HD but the rest of the game looks very off-putting. The art style they chose for the characters looks very unnatural and cartoonish and look even worse than their ps2 counterparts since a lot of detail is lost in the transition. Sure the cars have a bit of a shine to them also but that doesn't really amount to much. The missions and the story remains the same but they tried to modernize it aka put GTA 5 interface (weapon and radio wheels) and apparent shooting but it feels very rough and clunky. The PS5 versions are a joke since both the fidelity and the performance options looked the same to me but the former has an embarrassing 30fps while the latter tries to target 60 frames but spikes a lot under the 40s when there are a lot of things happening. I played SA until the the last set of Las Venturas missions and just couldn't move on and left it there. The three games crashed dozens of times especially since both Vice City and San Andreas crashed in certain missions if you don't put the game on performance mode. Besides some HD environmental graphics the game features an auto-saving system that comes in handy but actually can be detrimental. In both VC and SA the character would sometimes just gets stuck randomly in the middle of a mission and freeze. I had to input cheats to allow the character to get unstuck. To be honest, I was kind of hoping this definitive editions would at least be consistent but they are very mediocre. These remasters are even worse than the subpar remasters of Arkham Collection and Dishonored 1. Even if they do decide to patch these games, I am not planning to ever play them again.… Expand

    Халтура. Оцените как Resident Evil сделали ремастеринг, вот там все очень хорошо. Тут просто, решили заработать денег на продажи старой легендарной игры и даже не постарались перевести игру на новый движок, такой как GTA 5

I can therefore not progress any further in the story because every time I begin this mission I get an error message and a hard crash.     I bought this expecting crap, but updated to work on newer hardware, like using a controller without asking NASA for support. I was disappointed.

    I switch between m+k and controller, which the game actually handles quite fluently, but didn't expect they manage to destroy even that in some cases. For example, controlling the jetpack in San Andreas, is just broken. AI in general is broken, but not sure if this is remnant from the past code, so wont dig too much into that, but I do love it when enemies freezes when you shoot them, or the fact that they use wallhacks at times. Also, who doesnt love enemies that are invincible just because they are behind invisible walls, unless you hit a certain distance from them for their AI to target you?

    Then the physics is a bit changed. For example, in San Andreas, every road that is marked on the map, if you are in a car, well its asphalt. Stay in the marked lane, no traction problem.... Want to fly a jetpack, and play on PC? Better not use m+k, cause the controls don't work (seriously, they dont work, you need a controller for the jetpack, you cant land with m+k). Want misaligned textures? Get a tattoo in San Andreas and watch any cut scene where its visible.

    On the positive, Vice City is fairly playable, except one mission you just cant beat (except on PC, where you can turn to the modders that they so deeply hate over at Rockstar). San Andreas is a hot mess. Haven't touched GTA 3, as that game doesn't interest me too much to revisit in this turdfest (got it at release, but I remember the mechanics and I think without a proper remake, they would be too dated to even be worth revisiting). I got the game, expecting a hot mess, and even owning all the classic titles on Steam. All I wanted to do was to play the games I remember and be able to properly use the controller when I want to and Mouse + Keyboard when I want to, and funnily enough it kind of delivered on that and even then I still ended up being disappointed somehow. This isn't a remake, it is far from a "definitive" version, and even if you are aware of all the issues, just don't get this. I mean, Rockstar can try to polish this turd, but it will still smell.    … Expand

    I played the switch version. Tons of frame drops, cars and trees pop in like crazy if you go over 20 miles an hour. the new shooting is actually terrible i hate it the saints row the third port is SO much better than this its sad to be beat by direct competition like that

    Do yourself a favour and go to CD Keys and buys codes for the original versions on Steam. These are the worst remasters. They have killed the essence of these games in this version. I would have scored it higher because it is technically a game but Take Two going after the modders of the original games just to try and make this version more desirable is a joke. A well deserved 0 out of 10.

    I'm playing this on PS5. There are performance issues, and the game will not maintain a stable frame rate. There are many bugs, too many to name. And I've only played 4 or 5 hours so far. Some of the bugs are funny, but others ruin the experience. The game is playable, but it's definitely not the "definitive" edition of this game.     Other than an hour of nostalgia I had with the game, it truly was a pure disappointment. It's not a full remake and it's not a remaster, it's a new odd thing in between.

    Honestly this is just a mess. Some environments look good whilst others don't, the character models now all look like cartoons unlike the originals which tried to look as realistic as possible.

    No effort was made to enhance the controls either, and in general this whole game feels cheap and rushed. Low effort by Rockstar.

    Only good Thing is Graphic. Controls are the Same Bullsh*t like before. Especially Shooting is still a nightmare. They lied here. No Checkpoints, only restart the Missions. They lied again. Million Bugs, Crashes. A lot of Missing Song. Worst Remaster in a long Time. DONT BUY THIS LAZY REMASTER

Crashes, massive FPS drops, rain effects that literally look like a snapchat filter over the screen that gets blocked from view by water, and goes through tunnels, broken aim assist, floating buildings and assets, every single railing/fence in the game has the colission in the wrong place, stretched textures, you name it.

    Not to mentiuon the awful looing    GTA 3 Broken beyond belief.     An absolute disgrace, and a complete slap in the face to a huge and loyal fan base. After being foolish enough to pre-order, I was unable to even install it, only to have it removed from my Rockstar Launcher entirely, meaning it is not easy to refund. Players will have to go to Xsolla (the purchasing framework company) to get one. A waste of my time and money. Don't go near it.

    I should have listened to my gut when i was contemplating not pre-ordering it...

    Its not worth the price. You can tell in every aspect of the trilogy that it was rushed. GTA3 somewhat feels like the devs put some effort into but the rest is just very bad. I played all 3 games now and San Andreas was the most unplayable one. Alot of softlocking in Missions because of unbreakable stuff which should be breakable, characters freeze    Stay away from this unfinished product.

The games are 20yrs old with not much done to them and they cannot even hit 4K 60fps on next gen consoles. The game world is littered with spelling errors and typos. And the way they have edited the signs makes it so the signs no longer make any sense whatsoever so the jokes are gone. These signs were a part of the charm of the originals. Over 40 music tracks have been removed from the trilogy. From Michael Jackson, Dr Dre, Ozzy Osbourne, The Buggles and many more. There are many weird graphical glitches and weird design choices, like removing the fog, sun effects and much more. A lot of what made the original games such loved classics is simply gone. Someone has since gone into the game code and seen notes left within the code by the game developers who made this remaster. When you read these messages it becomes very clear that this remaster was made by people who didn't care one bit. It is a quickly thrown together rushed out cash grab trying to cash in on the nostalgia of the originals just in time for all that Christmas cash. Rockstar has become super greedy and sloppy ever since GTAV Online and shark cards became a thing. Ever since Leslie Benzies, Dan Houser, Lazlow and others left Rockstar Games the company is finished.… Expand

    There has been very little work done here to bring the games up to a 2021 standard. Unfortunately in its launch state just doesn't play as fun or enjoyable. Played on Xbox Series X and it can just about run at 60fps in some places. There have been some amazing fan made mods that have come out and they really showed the potential for what the developer could have gone for.     They banned mods, removed original games from stores, cut out many music tracks, made ugly cartoonish characters, games are filled with bugs, it's based on poor mobile ports, basically the old game with new lightning and lazy AI upscaled textures, and yes they're charging 60$ for it. nothing else than a zero

    Rockstar has been the Rockstar of video games with the releases of GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, arguably the greatest games ever created and the success of those 2 games got Rockstar feeling very arrogant like that they **** don't stink. By them releasing GTA 5 on the 3 straight generation consoles basically tells us that they don't give a crap about there fans anymore. So yeah yeah **** them

Даже не на хайпе хочу занизить оценку, я сознательно больше нуля не могу поставить этому, потому что они просто убили не только то, за что я любил оригинальную ГТА, они убили то, за что я любил старые игры в принципе!!! Я даже не хочу писать про то, как выглядят персонажи, и что вся игра стала мультяшной, и что теперь я ее просто не могуЯ давно не был так разочарован... Это просто кошмар. Даже не на хайпе хочу занизить оценку, я сознательно больше нуля не могу поставить этому, потому что они просто убили не только то, за что я любил оригинальную ГТА, они убили то, за что я любил старые игры в принципе!!! Я даже не хочу писать про то, как выглядят персонажи, и что вся игра стала мультяшной, и что теперь я ее просто не могу воспринимать серьезно, я бы много мог про это написать, но хочу затронуть другую, не менее важную тему - удаление оригинальных текстур витрин и замена их на проклятую "3d" текстуру за стеклом. Это выглядит ужасно, но хуже всего это просто стирает все детали, которыми наполнили мир оригинальные разработчики. Я очень люблю фото текстуры, и мне очень жаль, что с ними так обходятся, даже в Mafia Definitive Edition несмотря на отличную детализацию, все витрины заменены на пустые стекла, хотя в оригинале было куча деталей, хоть и запечатленных в текстуры, но ты смотрел на эти текстуры и видел в них кучу деталей, интерьер, стеллажи с конкретными товарами, вывески, наклейки, все передавали через фототекстуры даже в те давние времена. Но сейчас вместо них витрины просто заменяются стеклом, за которым максимум поставят пару предметов или убогую замыленную 3d текстуру, в которой нет никаких деталей, но из-за блестящей поверхности стекла выглядит лучше, чем фототекстура. Я считаю это огромным минусом текущих технологий, из-за чего все дома кажутся одинаковыми. В оригинальной же трилогии GTA создали почти каждое здание индивидуальным за счет ранообразных фототекстур и вывесок, каждое здание представляло собой уникальный интерьер, но в этом недоремейке все стерли начисто, просто заменив фототекстуры на убогое стекло, уничтожив все детали и индивидуальность зданий. Лучше бы они просто подправили освещение, эффекты и дальность прорисовки, чем портили все остальное. Это худшие впечатления, что я получил, играя в игры, так испортить хорошие игры надо постараться.… Expand

    From the Definitive Edition of the iconic GTA titles emerged a technically unfinished remaster, which remained halfway. The content is and will always remain timeless, but the way to get to it and to enjoy it is simply not good.
