    Take GTA Trilogy. Put algorithm on top. Put in simple features (Weapon Wheel). Sell for full price and laugh at the stupid customer.

    Those who give this game a positive rating need to reflect, is this due to the game being "upgraded" or was it just that they didn't manage to utterly annihilate 3 classics? You're enjoying the old story, and you would enjoy better with the mods that they took down.

    The game itself is a bit of a mess, but the story behind it warrants an absolute zero score also. Such shady and downright corrupt practice from Rockstar, who should be ashamed and punished badly for this travesty of a release.

    How do you manage to copy and paste a 19 year old game and somehow make it worst? This is not even including the bugs, crashes and glitches that were not present in the original releases. Rockstar even removed the original versions from the store. Plus, Rockstar loves going after modders that try to improve the game. Shame on you rockstar.

    The 3 games look awful now, like a mixture of the old games and newer ones from like 2009 so it just doesn't work and the faces are terrible. There a ton of bugs and the game is poorly optimised. I expected much more than this rubbish :( DO NOT SPEND MONEY ON IT!!!

    They managed to destroy three of the best games ever created for the sake of the money and shareholders satisfaction. The trilogy comes with bugs that didn't exist on the original games and the enhanced textures and light doesn't come close to worth 60 bucks.

    And to call these games the "Definitive Edition" is just a joke, and honestly spiting in the faces of all the loyal fans, or even any consumer/gamer that made the poor decision to get this game/s.

    Don't get me wrong, i love all three games and my rating has nothing to do with the games themselves, it's just the lazy ass remaster Grove Street Games did. It's a freaking joke. The performance, the glitches and gamebreaking bugs, missing textures, no fog, the mission in vice city, where lance's charakter model is the same from the old version.     Completely broken. Feels like the old games got shoved through a dodgey AI upscaler. The games are unplayable in my opinion because of technical issues. Stutter is abundant, frame rate is inconsistent, and on Xbox SX it doesn't even run at 4k. Rockstar has put a huge dent in their legacy for a quick cash grab

    I bought it on PC and i still can't play it. I was lucky to try it for a few hours and it's bad. Character models are disgusting. Don't buy it. I contacted support about refund so as you must do if you was such as dumb as i am and bought it!!!

It’s their business model to be as lazy as they possibly can while they spoon feed you old content all while they bring nothing new or fresh to the table other than small DLC updates to keep you coming back in hopes to buy cash cards.     I’ll end with this.. I requested a refund through Microsoft and got it for the Xbox series S. I would suggest you do the same. Also if you haven’t bought it, don’t. Save your money.     This is just poor. It makes me so sad to see these iconic games being treated like this. Too many things wrong with these games to submit here but as well as the original style of the games being distorted it’s also the little details missing that upset me.

    Game looks like trash. Mechanics are not upgraded. Rain looks like white noise all over you screen and you can’t even see anything. Bad for Rockstars rep. How could they possibly think that rain is acceptable. Definitely the worst remaster I’ve ever seen

    These games were built off the horrible mobile versions of the games by Grove Street Games and are so unpolished... well, tbh my mods that I made in 5 minutes for Skyrim have more QA to them. Glitches to the point you can't play, soft locks, the worst rain in over 30 years (hell, Perfect Dark on the N64 had better graphics when it came to rain drops)... I honestly can't express how betrayed, angry, disappointed, and sad this trilogy makes me. I feel like CJ's arm pits in 95% of the cutscenes in the new version- hollow and pathetically alone.

    The launch was an utter failure as they essentially uploaded the working drafts of the game and forced the entire PC community to be without for 4 days without so much as an "I'm sorry" for nearly 36 hours. When we did finally get an answer, it turned out they left the source code and unlicensed music- at least one gift to the best platform (PC, duh)... a chance for the community to actually fix all the massive problems.

    Those problems include, massive glitches, missions that would soft lock- preventing the game from ever being beatable/progressing from that point; the worst character models you could imagine, worst physics than what the originals ever had, and crystal clear draw distances (AKA you can see the entire damn map of SA from the tallest building without any obstruction... right up to the literal (yes they literally put a wall out there) infinity line of the horizon. The president of the Grove Street Games even has the audacity to sit on twitter and praise this stinking pile of garbage and mock unhappy customers- yes, us, the consumers who are currently feeling duped.

    There are some good things though... they managed to somehow reignite that nostalgia, although I think, honestly, it's due to the fact that the originals were that good. If this were any other brand, it would have been removed permanently and the companies would have folded. However, this is Take Two, Rockstar, and Grove Street Games at their current finest. They don't give a **** about quality anymore, they only care about the bottom dollar, and as long as we keep throwing money at their crap, they'll keep making it. Luckily, the incompetence of GSG has allowed for other, cheaper ways to get this.

    TLDR: Don't buy it, the quality issues alone will make your eyes bleed and give you more hours of frustration than enjoyment.    … Expand

But listen if you're looking for the game that you played long ago on PlayStation 2 and looking for it to only be built upon not diminished. You will be saddened to play $60 for this game. TheDO NOT. When I first watched the trailer, I thought it looked quite legit, but when I played it, it was utter garbage.     They've had decades to bring out an amazing game instead we got a very rushed piece of garbage that was probably designed during 2 lunch breaks and pushed out just in time of for the holidays.

    Absolutely atrocious what's happened with the franchise, I sure hope people wake up and vote with their wallet and don't let massive Companies like R* get away with Nonsense like this.     This game has grammer mistakes all over the open world, the cartoon aesthetic is just an excuse for the character models to look like they are made from clay, there is absolutely no attention to detail and it seems rushed.

    Wow, just wow. All of the characters, lack personality and character. Everything is wrong and rushed. Absolute money grab, how is this even legal. Get a copy of the originals and play them instead, especially San Andreas. Way more immersive, clearly not a word they are familiar with at Grove street games, or even Rockstar these days. The state of Red dead online is another example. TheyWow, just wow. All of the characters, lack personality and character. Everything is wrong and rushed. Absolute money grab, how is this even legal.     This is not a product you should accept from a company that's as well off as Rockstar Games. Even though this game was made in a way to preserve the art style of the trilogy, in no way does that mean that bad controls and glitchy character models should be permissable in a Definitive edition set to replace the older games on various online marketplaces.

    ok, I was testing the game and I simply say ... it is the same as it had in 2004 (GTA SA) the only thing that changed was the ring of weapons and radius of GTA V, the graphic engine and the minimum detail in the textures, wait months just to realize that fans have better mods than this

    They added minor things contrast + reflection and they want us to pay 60$ They knew that the players will do anything for the felling nostalgia again I don't recommend it for anyone just buy the original and add enb mod to it to save your money

Simplified textures and mechanics compared to original, nothing new added (not even swimming in VC and 3). Removed and unreplaced music. Removed fog in SA, makes the map seem funny. Comic like graphics full of cheap shine and ugly models. Shame on Rockstar for lettingBuggy and sloppy remaster.     Total assault on nostalgia, details from 20 years ago were removed and down scaled. The models are cursed. The rain is blinding. Misspelled words everywhere.     This game is a nightmare on switch - Characters look terrible and there are some serious bugs - frame rate also often drops so low the game is hardly playable.

Well now I know I won't be buying the other 2 either. I was so looking forward to this being old enough to remember the originals on the original Playstation. It's a buggy, poorly optimised mess and a stab in the heart of the nostalgia I hadThere are times Game Pass on the xbox is a god send..With GTA San Andrea's being on there I didn't have to spend anything to play this 're-master'.     terrible game, many bugs, FPS drawdown up to 30, and so on. Publisher Take-Two has gotten sick, and Rockstar Games is trying to siphon more money from us.

    From the Definitive Edition of the iconic GTA titles emerged a technically unfinished remaster, which remained halfway. The content is and will always remain timeless, but the way to get to it and to enjoy it is simply not good.
