    Honestly, for a long time GT fan, since GT 2, I am very very very disappointed with this game. Making it micro transactions central is a no no, payouts suck, the whole online system sucks. This is by far the worst game and I did not buy it and will not buy it. I went ahead and bought forza and F1. Will be looking into Grid too.

    The reason this is getting a 1 from me purely for the DRM use the lack of feeling like a game when it comes to the menus. Used car lot is awful, can't sell cars (that used to be a good way of making money in game) can't win a prize multiple times from re-doing championships .     Disgusting predatory microtransactions that aren't "micro." Online DRM. I wanted the same feeling as GT3. Good music, lots of cars, not blinking from racing for hours. I couldn't play the game for days and you are trying to force me to pay more in addition to the price I've already paid for the **** game.

    Great game but it fails to deliver. Graphics are not great, urency broken, lack of diversity in races. I hate grinding the same couple of tracks, with the same 4-5 cars all over again. It fails to deliver. And the daily rewards are unmotivating. I regret buying the game!

    What a sham this game turned out to be all because of greed. The progression of this game is totally broken all due to micro transactions. Not to mention the always online requirement even for single player campaign. Nothing makes sense here if you take greed out of the equation.

    I was big fan of this series since the first GT game. I could enjoy this game till GT6.

    In patch 1.08 PD made it harder to make in-game money by reducing race rewards in hope to force people to pay real money for buying expensive cars

    That's ridiculous.

    Gamers need to boycott this kind of thing (refund, don't trade in) and be vocal; it's the only way to stop the games industry imploding into its own greed. Cost of living is rising globally and Sony thinks these kinds of practices and costs are ok? That's a new level of tone-deaf.
    If Sony refuses to refund digital sales, then class-action lawsuit; the product was altered after sale/reviews without user consent or choice, in a manner that fundamentally impacts enjoyment of an entertainment product. If that's not some kind of implicit contract violation I don't know what is.
    I've been a playstation gamer since Autumn 95, 5 hardware generations, and never been so dismayed by Sony.    … Expand

    I've been a fan of the GT franchise since the first game, I've bought and played everything to date, and it's unfortunate the treatment pholyphony is giving its players, out of sheer greed. My desire is to return my game purchased in physical media.

    I don't have the time to grind the amount of money needed for the cars in this game, I paid almost 90usd and now 200k more for one car?

    The micro transactions are absolutely ridiculous, the always online is ridiculous and the game was down for more than 30hrs just so they can decrease the money earned for races to incentivize buying cars with real life money, is the scummiest things I’ve seen. Worse than EA imo.

    Ruined by low payout that was nerfed in favor of microtransactions. The biggest issue for me is that you can not play single player mode without conection to the server. Server was down for 2 days which ment you can not play the game that you paid for. And why do you need server conection to play single mode???

I remember GT6 obline where you got weekly missions to make some extra money and that is gone. I am selling the game and going back to GT6 and I am 37 old and I was the biggest fan of GT series from the first game 25 years ago. I even planned to buy Ps5 just for this game alone. Luckily I could not get my hands on ps5.

    Greed Turismo 7. A real shame. It’s a beautiful game marred by an aggressive approach that means if you want to enjoy any sort of fun with great cars you will have to pay cash via micro transactions.
    Oh, and to play an offline single player game these days means you have to be online.
    That means that when their servers are offline, guess what, the game that you paid $154 for is unusable.    Greed Turismo 7. A real shame. It’s a beautiful game marred by an aggressive approach that means if you want to enjoy any sort of fun with great cars you will have to pay cash via micro transactions.
    Oh, and to play an offline single player game these days means you have to be online.
    That means that when their servers are offline, guess what, the game that you paid $154 for is unusable. Oh, they had a maintenance glitch the other day so you couldn’t play the game for over a day - mental! Then, when they do come back online they reduce the amount of money you can win in races. Really?? One day when they turn off those servers your game is instantly a brick.
    We all have to take a stand against this greed or else we will all suffer.
    Polyphony - you deserve this bomb review. I hope that it means that you bring back consumer confidence and address these shameful tactics.    … Expand

That was done on a Monday, and on Wednesday, I got fed up with the game, with its mechanics and I already knew, in order for me to truly start getting great cars, I will either spend a numerous amount of time playing the game (I got other life events for me to be glued in to a game that wants you to grind nonstop will little amount of credits given after winning a race) and or macro transactions. So, I called PlayStation and requested for a refund. They told me they couldn’t because the game was downloaded to my console after purchased and suggested for me to reach out to the game’s developers instead. Couldn’t reach out to them so instead, I reached out to my credit card company for a refund which was executed. I’m disappointed!… Expand

    Just an unfinished game with a lot of potential but greed got the better of PD and Sony. Worse micro transactions than FIFA and high FOMO present in the game.

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
