    I don't normally post reviews here unless the game is uniquely good or bad, and this is the rare occasion that it is neither. The reason I put a goose egg as the score is due to Sony's greed. Make no mistake: If this doesn't get fixed soon, this is standard all PS games will go by.

    Love cars and love the way the game progresses through from the cafe to themed races. Realism is at the top level. Have not found a fault yet.

    - need to be always online even for single player campaign mode. You basically will never actually "own" this game. Their servers were down for over 30 hours last week. Imagine not being able to play a game you bought
    - recent patch reduced CR rewards for some events - linear boring, even bizarre "cafe" missions - roulette spins most of the time land on the lowest    - microtransactions
    - need to be always online even for single player campaign mode. You basically will never actually "own" this game. Their servers were down for over 30 hours last week. Imagine not being able to play a game you bought

    - cars have strange physics at times especially when hitting gutters/corners
    - they removed ability to sell cars. You can win duplicates and can't sell
    - too much grinding, devs don't value your time.
    - the game does well to hinder your ability to actually race through boring missions and stories about racers. I don't need to know that Pedro moved to Japan when he was 5 and he thinks the flowers are pretty around the track
    - raytracing only available in cutscenes and replays

    I loved GT1 and GT2 and this was meant to be my return to this series. I even preordered the 25th Anniversary as soon as preorders opened.

    I am truly disappointed and cannot recommend this game, at least in the current form.    … Expand

    Disappointed is a understatement just a money grab and a crap set up all together after the psn update yesterday my save game is gone and its making me start from scrach still shows all my trophies but there is no save game scamming pieces of crap

    For 25 years, I've given my money for every Gran Turismo game. In turn, I've spend countless hours over those 25 years playing what I feel are the best racing games ever made.
    For what it's worth, I feel that Gran Turismo 7 does live up to the expectations that have been set by it's predecessors. The graphics are exceptional, and the simulation of each car's appearance, sound, and    For 25 years, I've given my money for every Gran Turismo game. In turn, I've spend countless hours over those 25 years playing what I feel are the best racing games ever made.
    For what it's worth, I feel that Gran Turismo 7 does live up to the expectations that have been set by it's predecessors. The graphics are exceptional, and the simulation of each car's appearance, sound, and performance, along with the customization and tuning abilities, are unmatched. Although many others (understandably) detest the linear and forced nature of the "Cafe" progression system, I don't mind it. It's a massive departure from past games, but I don't think change is necessarily a bad thing. Now for the rest of it. You all know exactly what I'm going to say.

    WTF.

    You greedy, soulless bastards. How dare you charge $60 - $80 for a game, and then basically force microtransactions on top of it? Yeah, I know, I know. You're not forcing micrtransactions. Except, you definitely are. How else is anyone going to buy any of the cars that are available for X number of days, without buying additional credits? I can't grind on these tracks all day every day to earn the millions of credits that I need to buy the cars that should always be available to buy at an attainable price, because, you know, that's why I bought the game. And do you know why I can't spend all day grinding for credits? Because I have a job. That I need to go to every day to support my family, and maybe once in a while, drop some of my hard earned money on a game. And when I do, I'll be damned if I want to pay for it, only to find out that the only parts of it worth playing are going to cost me even more real, green, not fake credits, actual, money. Legal tender. Screw you guys.

    And when I thought that maybe you were about to make it right, when you shut the entire game down for 2 days, presumably to fix the countless bugs, and hopefully put the right tires on the cars since you didn't give us the ability to do it ourselves in many races, what did you do? You filthy snakes. You lowered the payouts for the highest paying races to make it even more difficult to access the most desirable cars in the game? What the hell is wrong with you?

    But wait, there's more. Kazunori Yamaguchi, what on Earth are you thinking? Because on top of all that, (presumably in an attempt to delineate the boundless idiocy of those insufferable peasants who dared to question your blatant chicanery), you actually had the balls to post that ridiculous letter, an absolute masterclass in "How To Be Both Woefully Disaffected And Astonishingly Tone Deaf". The convoluted explanation doesn't even make a bit of sense. Keeping the cars at real world prices? OK, whatever, but for that logic to hold up, it stands to reason that the payouts for winning races would also align with real world numbers. And by any measure, it's not even close. And that was true before you lowered the winnings for the top races. How stupid do you think your customer base is? Did you think that no one would notice? That Seriously, did no one even suggest that maybe it wasn't such a great idea to share that apathetic response before you published it? Who's in charge of Public Relations over there, freakin Scrooge McDuck?

    Jesus Christ, you might as well just post a picture of your middle finger instead. Or maybe a selfie of you just grabbing your balls. That's what I would have done. Now that I think about it, that definitely would have been the way to go. As soon as I saw that, I would have just been like, "Damn. Respect."

    Yeah, so that's all I've got. I never would have paid a single penny for this game, had I known that I would have to pay again to access the best parts of the game. It's some dishonest and underhanded stuff that you all did. But here's the thing - you only get to do it once, because I'll never buy another game from you bunch of weasels again in my life.

I just turned on my projector 24 hours after the patch was supposed to be done with and it won't let me play single player, it says it must be online. Why? Because they want to collect stats on my play and sell to me like a casino.

    And the money must be big in microtransactions (think over a billion for NBA2k) because polyphony digital was willing to damage their reputation to purposely nerf tracks to make it harder to make money in game, to buy digital cars that for some reason get released in limited quantities in the game, attempting to get you to act on FOMO. Think about that: You are getting played on both sides here.

    Then you have the roulette which is a prize you receive after doing something, and it's nearly always the minimum prize allotment. Again, this is all carefully constructed to make you as a player want to stick around and SPEND MORE MONEY. If this game was free to play I wouldn't be writing this review, I'd be playing it. Instead I paid $90 for a launch limited edition version because I believed in this game, I really thought polyphony digital wasn't going to nerf and gimp it. It seems I was wrong. This is very sad.

    I hope they catch so much heat for it that they stop ripping us off but let's be honest: Money talks. They are making their decision. I promise to never invest a penny in any microtransaction on the Sony platform.    … Expand

    From my perspective, I am a massive fan of GT games of the past but after a few weeks of GT7 I have completed all the single player mode and Iv basically stopped playing anymore as my only reasonable option for driving the cars I would like to is to spend hundreds of dollars of my actual money, Im not gunna do some dumb races hundreds of times to earn money. When I play GT games I eitherFrom my perspective, I am a massive fan of GT games of the past but after a few weeks of GT7 I have completed all the single player mode and Iv basically stopped playing anymore as my only reasonable option for driving the cars I would like to is to spend hundreds of dollars of my actual money, Im not gunna do some dumb races hundreds of times to earn money. When I play GT games I either play online or do time trials in single player mode which either earn you literal pocket change or non at all. So that means I could play GT7 every day for a few hours and never be able to buy a couple sets of racing tires let alone a $18,500,000 car. I can’t believe how scummy this game is… I was gunna buy a newer racing wheel and a PS5 (been playing on a ps4 pro) but holy cow thank god I didn’t I would be absolutely livid. Turning on this game just makes me mad.

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
