buen juego pero como siempre la experiencia obligatoria del online hace que sea una mierda, hoy mismo se ha dejado ver claramente, a eso le sumamos que encima la nueva actualizacion ha reducido las ya de por si bajas recompensas en cuanto a CR.

I love the GT7! Not really a great game, but I don't agree with the policy of the game, for which I paid 80 EUR in the Playstationstore. Race rewards are ridiculously low and the game is a big grind for better cars. Unfortunately, I don't have time for that as an adult working person. The main thing is that there are microtransactions that are incredibly overpriced.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The visual’s and sound and racing, licences the whole driving and gameplay are awesome. Where GT7 falls flat on its face is the grind and severe lack of reward for buying cars in what is meant be a car collecting game. I will rate this game 90+% as soon as these race rewards and payouts are addressed. To even buy 1 rare car could take 2 weeks of grinding. To make matters worse the developers needed the races being used to grind cash in a pure money grab to try and get users to pay for credits. Katz I love your games but this micro transaction drive on something I paid 150aud for is a joke Expand

Driving alone it the best in the series but the broken economy with focus on micro transactions (even more with patch 1.08) with fomo on top on that( the way legendary car market is designed). It's the gt with the lowest payouts in the series to date.

You need to be always online to play single player portions of the game. The reason for this? I can only surmise as pushing for live-service BS in the future. The car parts are also grindy. The credits that you earn are meager. Each time that you win, there is literally an option for you to top up credit by purchasing them with real money using the PS store. This is an absolute shame and I truly pity Polyphony Digital. This decision was clearly made by Sony themselves and has nothing to do with the devs.

It sucks really, because the game itself is a big step up from GT6. The graphics, the details to cars, the audio, the presentation...etc. But all of it take a backseat to the egregious monetization practices. Do not support this at any cost.

Driving is ok, or it would be if you could play the game when you want to, wich you can't since even the solo is behind an online DRM and not available when server are down. Also the game, sold full price, has free to play mechanics asking you to grind indefinitely to buy just about any car... DISAPOINTING, a huge step back for playstation exclusives

There is a great racing game in Gran Turismo but it is tainted heavily by monetization and DRM.

I play the game only as a single player but you always need to be online (DRM) and the other day for 30hours the game was unplayable due to a badly tested patch and the lack of a rollback scenario, only because the game is a "game as a service".
The whole microtransaction crap was introduced AFTER the reviews for the game where out. As a consumer and (former) fan of GT I never was informed by this toxic practice. It's clear PlayStations arrogance we saw at the start of PS3 is back in full force and I don't like it.
I will not buy any PlayStation games anymore on release as the company can't be trusted. Check if there has DRM (even in single player games) and forms of monetization in the full priced game, if so, then don't buy it, don't let Sony ruin gaming with their toxic attempt to make games as a service!

That bit there ^^^ that's why this has three points out of ten rather than zero. That's it.

Now....on to the negatives. The many, many...MANY negatives. There are little niggles and huge, outrageous flaws and everything in between. But I'll start with the biggest issue:

    - Microtransactions. MTX for short. I have never, ever seen a AAA game implement MTX this disgustingly. It's jawdroppingly shameless. For those of you who don't know what GT7 consists of - well you have to unlock the cars before you can drive them. That means buying them using in=game credits. This is normal in modern AAA racing games. You can also spend real money, in the real world, to buy in-game credits. This is less normal in AAA racing games but it happens, and it's just one of those horrible things we all have to put up with because GTAV started the trend and also because there is no god.
So GT7 has these microtransactions. How bad can it really be though? Surely if other games have them it's okay for GT7 to have them too? You naive fool, let me explain just how bad it is in this game: the legendary cars, the really expensive ones, cost 20m credits. How much is that in MTX? Well, about £150. £150 for a single car. In a carlist that numbers in the 400s.

So how do you earn money in-game? Grinding. How long would it take to earn the 20m credits for that legendary car? FOURTEEN HOURS. Fourteen hours grinding the most profitable race, a mindnumbing hour long race.

So you either spend fourteen hours grinding for that car or you spend £150 of your own real money. Either way...you are a f***ing idiot.

But there's the roulette system right? The system where you occasionally get to spin a roulette wheel which has some tasty prizes on it. That sounds like a decent way to mitigate the grind and the MTX...right? Wrong, as wrong as you can be. The roulette system is so laughably foul, so ridiculously, comically evil, it's like it's laughing at you when you spin it. Because it's rigged. It's openly rigged. This isn't some suspicion that paranoid GT users have - it's been demonstrated. It's rigged to fall on the smallest reward, and it does so deterministically and with obvious contempt for the playerbase.
To me the wheel sums up GT7's economy. They didn't even bother to hide the fact that it's skewed. Polyphony don't seem to care that you know.

All of that makes the game a miserable experience for a newcomer like myself. I want to get into it...but it hates me and wants me to go away.

Of course, that one issue of the game's economy is more than enough to put any sane person off the game for good. But Polyphony wanted to make sure, so they added in hundreds of little ones too:

    - visual customisation is absolute bumsauce.
    - the clutch implementation in the game is bewildering.
    - the UI and general menu system were designed by a madman.
    - the chase camera is locked to the car in a way that turns off anyone who's come from playing any other racing game made this century. It would take a modder about six or seven minutes to fix this. Polyphony's take is 'f*** you, we're unique'. Yes, but not in a good way.
    - the career mode, single player in other words, is truly rubbish.

Etc. I'm going to stop now otherwise I'll still be here tomorrow. This game is utterly disgraceful, and I cannot believe that the short term benefit of raking in money from halfwitted MTX whales could possibly outweight the long-term disaster of turning so many people off this franchise completely. Add to that the general slow, laborious, grudging way that the developers respond to any complaints, the stubbornness with which they approach a videogaming genre that has changed radically since GT first arrived on the scene, and you have a recipe for alienating huge numbers of paying customers, very quickly, forever. Genius!

There's a great driving model underneath it, but really...who cares? A scorpion is a brilliantly evolved creature, but it's still a c***. I don't usually approve of review bombing, but in this case it's completely justified.

It looks like a pathetic hasty twitch of PD to just pick the fruits of its legacy. I haven't read or heard any positive comment for the game (endorsements and paid marketing excluded).

They've managed to build a game that destroyed its own bequest and dispersed one of the biggest and most loyal fans community. Now we are left with nothing else to enjoy, apart for some PC sim racing outdated solutions. Very sad what it has come to...

    - FFB? It is non-existing at all since 1.15! Has anyone noticed that Circuit Experience on Tokyo Expressway is so unbearably impossible after 1.15 update, compared to before? Try it out again, if you have completed it before.

    - Silver prize in CE - what happened to it? Is it cursed or what? Why only gold and bronze?

    - why 15 laps/24 min. races instead of 24h? More competitive/strategic/historical endurance races with huge rewards would keep us pinned.

    - if the AI just barely touches you from behind or side, you immediately lose all control or spin out, even if you drive the truck and they drive the Mini! If you ram into them with full might, either from the side or behind, it is like you've hit the brick wall!? And that is what they call the real driving simulator!? Ahahaha. Maybe in some alternative universe...

    - there were so many lame bugs in the beginning, that it seemed they do not have a beta testing team at all! I created so many perfect Setting Sheets for so many cars, only to find out later they do not exist anymore!? Heeelloooo? Now I do not have a desire to do anything, it is like someone is sabotaging the whole project internally!

    - every AI always, but always tries to spin you out of track when you overtake them. They do not respect the blue flag at all, they even tend to block you not to lap them. Realistic sim driving for sure.

    - some very old games (for DOS/Windows 95), like Indy 500, Screamer, RBR, N4S Porsche have slightly better physics.

    - GT6, 5 and 4 were way more attractive, meaning this GT7 is just a graphics makeup of them, bringing nothing new except the tiresome Sports mode, non-functional multiplayer Lobby and useless and annoying offline mode, never-ever seen as such in the history of this world's gaming!

    - text speaking characters? Sarah reminding you to take a deep breath and try again?! So annoying and time consuming, that after seeing her, my only desire is to turn off the PS5 or play Mortal Kombat, if only it had the Sarah character to beat her up!

    - prices of most Legendary Cars are so unreasonably high, like it was meant not to have them. I cannot afford any new cars, just like in real life!

    - the purpose is micro transactions. What were they thinking? The naming is utterly wrong here! It should be renamed to Macro transactions, since you need to spend $200 to buy 20M credits in order to buy 1 legendary car! Hellooooo?! It should be forbidden by a UN charter of Human Rights. If you bought a game once, why should one pay more? Because management and development teams do not have enough imagination to create content interesting enough to intrigue you to play and play.

    - there is so much potential to implement many more interesting missions, historic races like 1000 Miglia, Monte Carlo races and rallies, the old Tour de France and many many more. But no, lack of imagination and ambition is what is more valuable or shall we say profitable.

    - some Gr.1 cars handle like a tart in cosmos hit by a meteor and AI drives them like blind drunk monkeys. Gr.3 and 4 cars being undrivable before the update to being more stable then Gr.2 cars after the update? If that was the case in real life there would be no racing in the world at all!

    - so much marketing noise about raytracing, where it only exists in demo cut-scenes and replays. It is basically the same as GT Sport or GT5 enhanced with 4K.

    - this game is not so much about racing, as it is a Pokémon of a game - collecting cars for a museum. It should have a slogan: Real Car-Collecting Museum! Why not connecting the earned/bought iconic car with unlocking a historic event where it shined/became famous?

I have so many cars (that I did not buy!) distracting me when changing cars, that I just give up on racing and just close the game. Why not implement an option which can be turned off/on that the last chosen view (when changing cars) should be remembered? It is just a dozen lines of code.
