    First time i have played this gow games, i didnt think i would enjoy it. i really enjoy it, the story so far is awesome the gameply is good fun. the items are kinda meh, i would prefer more choices but its a very enjoyable game for sure. Glad i gave it a go.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. You know a game has left a sizeable impression when, despite your best efforts to be an adult, you just cannot bring yourself to stop playing. To round this out you truly feel the encroaching dread of the inevitable ending. This feeling only worsens as you notice you've collected every item and explored nearly every nook and cranny of each realm. Normally for these types of games, exploring and collecting all is a daunting and most times a tedious chore that not many care to pursue. The way this game approaches this not only makes it a rewarding endeavor, it becomes a seamless part of the journey that's so easy to just do. Put simply, Ragnarok provided an incredibly engaging story with fantastic character development, it helps that the gameplay was just as spectacular and served as an amazing vehicle for the player to navigate this particular story. I cannot wait for the story to continue with future entries and am looking forward to any and all titles that may ensue.… Expand

    Probably one of the best games I've played.

    The story is simply amazing, and had me hooked at every point. Sometimes I was so into it, I got angry that I had to fight because it would stop the lore. The mechanics are amazing, and controlling the characters (even the wolves on their kart), in and out of battles, feels great. The graphics are phenomenal. You can see so many details on    Probably one of the best games I've played.

    The graphics are phenomenal. You can see so many details on all the characters, especially on Kratos, and all the sceneries you will see are just as beautiful.
    The world building is simply one of the greatest, it comes to a point where you feel almost a part of it.
    The immersion (due to the factors said above) is a whole new experience. You can play hours and hours on end, not get bored at all, and definitely not see the time go by.

    Definitely game of the year, and dare I say, one of the best games of all time.    … Expand

    Als das Spiel bei mir ankam, habe ich mich sofort an die Konsole gesetzt und angefangen, die neun Welten zu erkunden. Das Kampfsystem war on Point, die Bosse waren so viel besser und kreativer als im Vorgänger, die Charaktere hatten meiner Meinung nach mehr Tiefe und haben mehr zur Story beigetragen.     Sometimes a game is both good and incredibly overrated. Like GoW 2018, production value and story are top notch but the combat holding it all together is functional but gets stale quickly due to lack of options for player expression. Enemy variety is better here though, so that helps. Nothing like how **** insulting it was to the player's time and intelligence fighting elemental troll #37.

    I love this game to pieces, it was such an emotional journey. The character development, story, music, and characters, were all such beautiful things to witness. A few things did bother me though, the puzzles were very repetitive in the main story questline and this game gives you too many tutorials all the way through the beginning and to the end.

This game may be good for a first play through because of the initial impressions, but the game is not inviting to play multiple times because of the boring and tiring parts with Atreus. The story left much to be desired with simplistic explanations and lack of explanations for other parts of the story. The potential of Ragnarok was thrown away, where did they put the gods in the game? We only faced three and even then we only killed one, the fight against Thor and Odin together did not cause the same destruction as the fight against Baudur in the first game, which is incomprehensible in my point of view. They left Kratos' future open because they did not leave him with motivation to move forward, he became the king of the 8 realms, but what comes after? We want the god killer back. (Atreus does not have the personality to replace the god of war, he is a very good boy).… Expand

    Definitivamente mi juego favorito, me han encantado los personages y su dessarroyo, a demás de la mejora de jefes la cual era un problema en la entrega anterior, además de los momentos emotivos que me han hecho llorar

    The only triple A game that brought in 2022 full price and it did not disappoint. To begin, the story was outstanding with battles of Kratos vs Thor, Kratos vs Odin and the tension between Atreus coming off age. In addition, it had great graphics, great boss battles and gameplay in expanding from 2018. Lastly, my only gripe is too much gameplay with Atreus but that is minimal.

    Jogo é bom (melhor que o primeiro), mas carrega muitas falhas de seu antecessor, como a falta de um botão de pulo e a exploração chatíssima.

    Some of the best character writing coupled with a master class story and a great score. Takes all the shortcomings of god of war (2018) and improves on them. Better enemy variety, more boss fights and bigger set pieces the combat feels more fluid and engaging than the last game. Easily the system seller for years to come that the ps5 desperately needed.

    전투 이팩트가 화려하고 싸우는 맛이 있는 게임이자 스토리가 훌륭한 게임. 듀얼센스로 사소한 것까지 다 잡아줘서 실감나는 게임인데 퍼즐 요소는 호불호가 많이 갈릴 것 같음. 어느정도는 좋았지만 너무 많은 퍼즐요소는 가끔 지루하게 함.

    A great sequel! The combat is even better the Bosses are better and the normal enemy's are better. the story is still great but a liitle bit worse than GOW 2018. Also the Atreus lvls are damm boring

    Very good work at the cinematics but that's it.
    Feels like a long dlc and not a proper sequel.
    Once the sequels were different from the original game, so you saw something else.

    God of war 2018 was epic and this game is too and nice sequel. Combat was very good and enjoyable with lots of different skills and upgrades (someone says too much). Story was very good and graphic was stunning.

    This game is a true triumph. It’s epic on every scale. It’s beautiful, has amazing characters and arcs, awesome boss fights. I truly enjoyed my time with this game, and being a father myself really made it hit differently. There is one big but however, and that’s that some boss fights (specifically the gank fights), and some of the exploration really suck. Trying to find your way around inThis game is a true triumph. It’s epic on every scale. It’s beautiful, has amazing characters and arcs, awesome boss fights. I truly enjoyed my time with this game, and being a father myself really made it hit differently. There is one big but however, and that’s that some boss fights (specifically the gank fights), and some of the exploration really suck. Trying to find your way around in this game can be an absolute chore at times, even with guides. Vanaheim especially is egregious with this. All in all tho this is one of my top three favorite games of all time, and everyone should play it. 85/100… Expand

    I mean… it’s superb. I normally play an couple of hours of a game and then I’m done. I sunk 44 hours into this, the story had me hooked, the character developments, writing, voice acting, acting, sound design, was all so good. One of the best games I’ve played surely. Congrats Studio Monica, it’s a mastery of a piece.

    God of War Ragnarok es un excelente juego que sería perfecto de no ser por un par de defectos. Llevo 50 horas jugando al videojuego, terminé la historia principal y la mayoría del contenido secundario y en conclusión puedo decir que está al nivel del anterior, es superior en algunos aspectos pero en otros es inferior.

    Gráficos: 10 Si jugaste al GoW 2018 con la actualización de PS5 te    God of War Ragnarok es un excelente juego que sería perfecto de no ser por un par de defectos.     Si jugaste al GoW 2018 con la actualización de PS5 te puedes hacer una buena idea de como se verá este nuevo juego. Es muy difícil que mejore gráficamente al juego de 2018 porque gráficamente es perfecto. Ahora GoW Ragnarok luce muchísimo más gracias a los entornos más variados. Los modelos de los personajes son excelentes en todos los aspectos, y el rendimiento es increíblemente bueno, mantiene los 60 fps de manera consistente.

    Sonido: 9
    La música está bien, pero tampoco es que cobre tanta importancia como ocurre en otros juegos como Final Fantasy XVI o Persona 5, la música de Ragnarok es buena pero no me pareció espectacular. Lo más sobresaliente es que el juego tiene audio disponible en una gran cantidad de idiomas y en mi caso me quedo una vez más con las voces en inglés.

    Jugabilidad: 8
    Ragnarok patina muy feo en el apartado jugable, para mi gusto hicieron el juego demasiado injusto para el jugador. Arruinaron muchas cosas en el aspecto jugable que tenia el primero Kratos se siente extremadamente débil y la mitad de los enemigos que encuentras en el juego pueden matarlo fácilmente de 3-4 golpes mientras que Kratos requiere conectar como una docena de golpes para derrotar a esos enemigos. Hay muchos enemigos que son literalmente esponjas de daño, y durante los combates aparecen y aparecen enemigos de la nada siempre buscando hacer daño por atrás y algunos de ellos volando por todo el escenario.
    También es ridículo ver como muchos adversarios caminan como si nada ante los ataques de Kratos y se mueven libremente mientras son atacados y además son capaces de interrumpir tus ataques mientras ellos son atacados. Los ataques rúnicos no tienen frames de invencibilidad y te dejan por completo vulnerable, incluso cuando conectan.
    Ahora, la mayoría de los jefes vuelan a velocidades ridículas por todo el escenario y las peleas contra ellos aburren porque parecen siempre lo mismo, la mayoría tienen patrones muy similares, siempre peleando de manera cobarde, con un patrón de pega y corre, spameando proyectiles, volando de un lado a otro para arruinar el enfoque.
    La ira activada con L3+R3 ha sido nerfeada de manera importante, casi no hace daño y es ridículo ver que tantos golpes causan tan poco daño, sin embargo sique siendo un recurso útil para interrumpir los ataques ridículos inbloqueables de los jefes y acortar distancia cuando se ponen a volar como locos por todo el escenario, por lo que recomiendo mucho activarlo para interrumpir ataques, acercarte, desactivarlo y continuar con ataques con armas.
    Otro aspecto que me molestó un poco es que también hayan nerfeado terriblemente las habilidades del escudo, ahora ya no tiene un árbol de habilidad como en el juego anterior, quizás porque ahora Kratos ya no depende tanto de quedarse sin un arma, al contar ahora con tres distintas.
    Por último, en el juego puedes utilizar a Atreus en algunas misiones. Sin embargo controlar a Atreus es super aburrido y simple y la mayoría de las veces consideré sus escenarios como simple relleno.

    Contenido: 9
    El contenido secundario mejoró enormenente. La historia principal apenas cubre un 30% del contenido total del juego. Hay muchas misiones secundarias, las cuales permiten expandir el lore. En Ragnarok puedes explorar los reinos que no estaban y la mayoría de ellos son mundos enormes, semiabiertos, con muchas misiones secundarias, muchos sub jefes, tesoros y muchas recompensas por descubrir.
    No le puse una nota perfecta al contenido porque al principio tiene mucho relleno, el juego es super pesado al principio, puzzles, puzzles, y más puzzles, muchos de ellos muy mal explicados. Recuerdo que en la primera misión conté como una docena de puzzles, y así sucede con las primeras tres misiones principales.
    Las misiones de Atreus son muy aburridas también, para mi aportan muy poco e incluso alentan el ritmo y disminuyen las ganas por jugar.

    Personajes/Historia: 10
    Excelente historia, personajes memorables y excelentes actuaciones. Aquí el juego es soberbio.

    Conclusión: Es un gran juego y sería perfecto de no ser porque el combate ahora es muy injusto para el jugador, lo cual lo hace muy frustante en algunos momentos, con un Kratos increíblemente más débil que la mayoría de los enemigos y los problemas de ritmo que se sienten sobre todo al principio del juego y que me hicieron muy pesado el principio del juego.    … Expand

    A beautiful sequel to a game that didn't need much change, in terms of graphics and combat, and was able to still complete the combat to make it feel fun and new while still keeping the combat the same as the old one. There were a few pacing issues and some little details that were kind of left in the air but when making a game with such high expectations they did it beautifully.

    Sin duda alguno una OBRA MAESTRA en cuanto historia, lore, música, gráficos, mecánicas muy bien pulidas que vienen del juego anterior, es una mezcla perfectamente balanceada de todo lo bueno del anterior juego y lo hace muchísimo mejor 10/10

    God of War Ragnarok is a sophisticated game that pushes the boundaries of everything that made its predecessor a can't-miss experience. Its combat still adds intriguing new twists after playing for many hours. Its story is full of memorable characters and is expertly woven into a number of worlds that feel more alive than ever. Ragnarok has here, and it is magnificent.

    This is an amazing game to play if you just want to have some great god and monster slaying fun. The kills are brutal and the environments are breathtaking.
    The only thing bad about this game is pacing. Some sections drag the fun action to a stop. But when this game shines it shines as bright as the 2018 release. Just please ad the ability to skip cut scenes on consecutive playthroos.

    It is truly a great game. Story is really interesting, characters writing is prepared properly, end game is superb. Why not 10? Because this is the game on ps4 pro level while everyone was expecting next gen game. Even the triggers were used just few times. Also the graphics are kinda same as on previous game. Apart from that - fully recommend.

    What can I say? MASTERPIECE! They basically improved previous game which already was amazing and added another great layers in to it. Gameplay? Check. Music? Check. Immersion? Check. Story? Check. New and variable bosses? Check. I really don´t know what more you could want from this game because it has everything and its great at that too... 10/10

    Porém assim como com o tempo eu fiquei mais maduro assim foi também a jornada de Kratos agora compartilhada com seu filho Atreus.
    Não sou especialista em jogos então devo dizer que em seus detalhes técnicos há uma melhora de todos seus elementos de seu jogo anterior de 2018,o jogo é mais polido, abrangente, o combate se tornou mais vertical e sua gameplay mais divertida.
    Porém vou me atentar naquilo que sei escrever bem que é sobre história, e meus amigos que história!
    O jogo inicia ontem termina o anterior com uma visita inesperada a casa de Kratos que está tentando lidar com o começo do Ragnarok (O Apocalipse da cultura nórdica).
    Em termos gerais há diversos temas que permeiam a jornada de Kratos e Atreus porém posso dizer que família é o pilar central desse desenvolvimento, as relações com todos os personagens são profundas e interessantes e nada é preto no branco, todos os personagens inclusive os vilões do jogo possuem uma densidade incrível, ou seja o vilão não é mal porque ele é o vilão, mas por possuir razões, convicções de seus objetivos e tentar alcança-los.
    Outro tema que permeia o jogo todo é o velho embate filosófico determinismo x existencialismo que irá ser pilar de grande parte principalmente das escolhas e desenvolvimento dos personagens.
    Posso dizer que a jornada de Kratos tem aqui seu maior desenvolvimento até hoje, o Deus furioso e poderoso se mostra mais maduro e preocupado e acompanhar essa o jornada irá atingir seu coração, penetra sua alma, envolver, cativar e com certeza te emocionar.    … Expand

    Takes God of war 2018 and improves on everything. The story and world is on a much grander scale but its the characters old and new that are still the stand out in the game. An epic and emotional end to the ragnarok saga.

    Insanely good, went into the God of War game on PS4 completely blind - had no idea, was blown away partly because I went in so blind.

    And somehow I was blown away all over again by Ragnarok, even though now I knew exactly what was waiting for me. Well, I was wrong. It was SO MUCH BETTER than I thought a sequel of an already perfect game could be.

    Sms handled kratos journey with love , just hoped they change the (god) to anything that doesn't conflict with Islam.

    Though not quite as good as the 2018 release, God of War Ragnarok provides a more than satisfying conclusion to the Norse mythology arc. Whether or not it is as good as or better than Elden Ring really doesn’t matter. If you want a great story and solid combat, you can definitely find that here!

    This is a clunky action game where common enemies are threatening damage sponges for you, the god of war. Compared to the previous God of War games this is a step up in graphics and polish, but a huge step back in gameplay and story. I returned it to the library after several hours.

La banda sonora es inigualable, superando diría yo que a la de la anterior entrega. Es sin duda una de las más épicas que he escuchado. Tanto las misiones secundarias como las principales son muy buenas, aunque estas últimas un poco más como es lógico. Puesto que este tipo de juegos usan bastante el lenguaje cinematográfico, no puede faltar que sean buenas interpretaciones por parte de los actores, y así es, las actuaciones son impecables y se nota mucho el presupuesto de lo técnico, pues a veces parece que es una película, y eso me encanta.     EPICO, es la palabra justa para definir este juego. Me recuerda mucho a lo que fue Gow 2 en la saga griega. Ya que al igual que el primer Gow en 2005 (gran juego e inicio de la saga), pero el 2 lo mejoró TODO. Mejoró en combate, cantidad de jefes, mini jefes, graficos, etc, haciendo que sea realmente una experiencia brutal.     El juego aunque muy continuista es increiblemente atrapante,divertido,inmersivo y sobre todo epico,su historia es impecable y muy conmovedora,la jugabilidad es exquisita,los objetos como armaduras,escudos,reliquias y de mas son una gran alluda en los combates,talvez yo ubiera aprovechado mejor algunos personajes pero el resto es increible ,para mi el mejor juego de la saga,obra maestra.

    I want to start with the good things this game has, so amazing graphics,good soundtrack i can admit it, insanly good boss fights especially the thor/odin is one ofr the best in all of video games. One of the best parts was the beautiful environments that you could see around all nine of the Norse realms from the deserts of Alfheim to the jungles of vanaheim all the realms are special in their own way. Another thing I liked was the villains of the game. At one point I ended up somewhat sympathizing with the villains. But just a bit later the game made me feel bad for sympathizing with the villains by showing me how horrible people they were. And even after the main story was finished I kept on coming back to find out more about the story and explore all nine realms And I might even 100% the game later on.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. God of War Ragnarok was a game that completely sold me in the beginning but later lost me a bit towards the end. The whole game felt like trying to cram in every story element meant for 3 games into one game. As the game progressed, it was rushed and came to an unsatisfying conclusion to the Norse saga.

    While outstanding, the gameplay is still almost the same as the 2018 version, and although the devs mentioned that they will keep the same engine, it would've been nice with upgraded gimmicks of puzzles, attacks, etc. However, the gameplay is not much of an issue since the gameplay for God of War 2018 was good, and bringing something good into another thing remains the same.

    The most important reason why I gave my score is because of the story. For a game adapted from Norse mythology, the story is very small and lacks the variety of the original myth and the number of characters. We only see a handful of Norse gods and we get to fight only three of them. The Ragnarok event is also underwhelming. Although the story gives a reasonable excuse as to why it ended so quickly, it could have stretched out the literal war against the Aesir. If the game took some of the minutes given to Iron Wood and put them into Ragnarok, it could've saved it from being this underwhelming.

    In conclusion, while the game aspect of God of War Ragnarok was great, the story and the pacing really made the experience very mediocre. With the lack of pacing and good storytelling, this game makes the Norse saga as a whole more of a long DLC of 2018 than anything. I would've greatly preferred this saga be a trilogy than a duology and I expect this series to do so in the next saga.    … Expand

    I can't help but tip my hat to the entire Santa Monica team. The deeper you delve into the game, the more you'll be drawn into the stunning story of a father and son against the backdrop of perhaps history's most horrific war. Throw in some casually endearing humour, great and fluid gameplay, and wrap it all up with an amazing audiovisual experience. [Issue#323]

    Thanks to an amazing cast that’s doing an outstanding job, a compelling story told through the eyes of multiple characters, and top-notch combat, this epic and heartfelt journey strikes all the right chord. It’s impossible not to recommend God of War Ragnarok, but just in case you had any doubts, I strongly advise anyone mildly interested in gaming to play Santa Monica Studio’s latest masterpiece.
