    Great sequel from a great developer, the game is easily the GOTY for me. Kratos development and characterization as well as his control over his rage are highlights of the series. Can't wait for what the future holds for Kratos

    The most surprising aspect is simply how much the game has evolved while still remaining very much a God of War game. It is very good.

    I love the game I love how they made it where u can control Atreus I do feel his part of the game in jotunheim was a little bit long but I enjoy the story and how Kratos finally accepts Atreus going on to help the giants at the end

    The emotion, the performances, the combat, and the side quests/exploration this game offers makes it an easy 9/10. The biggest problem I had with is was there were some pacing issues and some parts of the story either dragged on for way to long (breaking momentum) or other elements werent explored more making it seem like it left a bitter taste in your mouth.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. After having gone through so much (in God of War 1-3) Kratos finally gets his redemption arc. God of War Ragnarök does an excellent job at portraying Kratos' growth as a character. He has clearly outgrown being anyone's pawn of destruction and the all the decisions he makes are his own. The game doesn't glorify war in the slightest, the final fight showdown explifies the reality of war, multiple battles beyond one's own perspective and the grim nature of the war (odds stacked against us) was handled superbly. The gameplay was fantastic, and there's plenty of post-game content too. Ragnarök was well written.… Expand

    Epic set-pieces, action-packed combat and an amazing world. Kratos latest journey and final in norse mythology does not disappoint. This is one of the most complete and best games I have personally ever played. Easily a 10/10 and not one you should miss.

    God of war ragnarok is One of the best Playstation games ever, Gameplay is amazing and makes it better then the 2018 gameplay. The graphics are of course amazing and voice Acting is great too
    the leviathen axe and blades of chaos are better then ever. the Draupnir spear exceeded my expectations. once i got it i thought i would never use it but that wasn't the case i used it a lot during    God of war ragnarok is One of the best Playstation games ever, Gameplay is amazing and makes it better then the 2018 gameplay. Each weapon has its use the axe being the strongest but slow. the blades being fast and good for clearing multiple enemy's. the spear being fast but not the strongest but the projectiles are very powerful. The story is amazing i do wish the ragnarok battle at the end was longer and took its time but still its amazing. Boss battles are great and get me pumped up. i love the heimdall and odin and both the thor fights. But here's my biggest con Aterus. I didn't hate his parts but they weren't great. You cannot level up in like kratos so when i played New game + Enemy's were stronger but not Aterus. So i died lots of time from One shots So Basically i had to not get hit during battles. Ironwood Isn't Terrible but it is the worst part of the game. Very few battles LOTS of cutscenes. But nonetheless This game is amazing The transformation Of midgard Is great And they didn't reuse the same map and just put snow on it. They basically made it brand new. 10/10 A amazing game    … Expand

    Epic game superb finish in the Nordic saga. Great bosses, graphics and dam good gameplay. Highly recommended!!!

    I can't help but tip my hat to the entire Santa Monica team. The deeper you delve into the game, the more you'll be drawn into the stunning story of a father and son against the backdrop of perhaps history's most horrific war. Throw in some casually endearing humour, great and fluid gameplay, and wrap it all up with an amazing audiovisual experience. [Issue#323]

    Thanks to an amazing cast that’s doing an outstanding job, a compelling story told through the eyes of multiple characters, and top-notch combat, this epic and heartfelt journey strikes all the right chord. It’s impossible not to recommend God of War Ragnarok, but just in case you had any doubts, I strongly advise anyone mildly interested in gaming to play Santa Monica Studio’s latest masterpiece.
