    Master piece with a lot to offer, one of the best storys in games. Beautiful combat and a lot of great characters.

    Este juego supera a su predecesora por mucho y concluye la aventura de la manera más épica posible. Sus personajes están muy bien diseñados y escritos, sus combates , cinemáticas y relacion padre eh hijo entre kratos y atreus se desarrolla muy bien, yo por mi parte es el mejor juego que eh jugado en todo el año, sin duda le daría el goty .

    This game was everything i'd hoped it be but it just missed the mark of being perfect..

    Things I loved: -> Boss fights - epic battles, satisfying and challenging -> Story - emotional, raw, pacing was perfect, character development is fantastic w plenty of interactions -> Gameplay - new and improved, fresh new combat systems -> Cut scenes - brilliantly done as always, cut scenes    This game was everything i'd hoped it be but it just missed the mark of being perfect..

    Things I loved:
    -> Boss fights - epic battles, satisfying and challenging
    -> Story - emotional, raw, pacing was perfect, character development is fantastic w plenty of interactions
    -> Gameplay - new and improved, fresh new combat systems
    -> Cut scenes - brilliantly done as always, cut scenes blend into gameplay seamlessly, feels like a movie
    -> Soundtrack - my god the soundtrack really hits you in the feels, excellently done
    -> Replayability - lots to do and plenty of side missions
    -> Upgrades - as you upgrade you can see armour sets change in appearance (e.g bronze, silver, gold)
    -> Accessability options - lots to pick from to suit all players, different performance options

    Things I disliked/pet peeves:
    -> UI - I think it is a step down from its predecessor, can be hard to navigate at first
    -> Ugly Armour sets - I wanted more cool armour sets unlocked without doing side missions
    -> Transitions/loading maps - there was too many 'squeeze through a tight space' areas, it sometimes ruined the pacing for gameplay
    -> Limited Performance/ no photo mode - graphics isnt everything but TBH this shouldve only been released on ps5 as ps4 probably limited the performance. No huge improvement in graphics and no photo mode :(
    -> Not enough God/Aesir specific boss fights - I wanted to fight more gods! Just like the old games.    … Expand

    Kratos gets staggered and interrupted by every little hit. Paired with his heavy and rather slow movements this is a recipe for deseaster. Instead of acting (you are supposed the GOD OF WAR after all) you are only reacting. Every little fight    This game is a masterpiece, again. Instead of acting (you are supposed the GOD OF WAR after all) you are only reacting. Every little fight turns into a game of 3D chess with zero room for mistakes. And that is at the lowest difficulty setting and all accessibility options enabled to make it easier.
    After beating Ragnarok I played the first God of War again and it is SO MUCH MORE FUN!
    I did all the extra content there, Ivaldis workshop and even all the Valkyries! But with Ragnarok I had many rage-quit moment was happy to put the controller down.
    This is a major design issue! Dear developers, let us have fun! You are not the arbiters of what fun gameplay is. Don't force us down narrow gameplay paths just because you are so proud of some specific system or another. It's bad design and Forbidden West had the same problem (like more elemental damage types than you have weapon slots). Sometimes, more is less.
    Also, what is with the fleeing enemies? Half of the time Kratos is running around, chasing after enemies. If I want to herd chickens, there are other games for that. There is little more annoying in gaming than enemies that make you chase after them constantly.
    I'll go play God of War now... the good one, not the frustrating, annoying one.    … Expand

    To keep it simple, this game is a masterpiece. Every location, set piece, character and interaction culminates into a tightly written and continuously engaging story that ,even when those end credits role, keeps the player engaged for several hours to come.     This game was everything I could ever find in a hack and slash story game, improving upon the past 2018 game and improving beyond my expectations, a story I had waited to conclude for a very long time to see how it ends and where the series will Joe go afterwards. Game of The Year material

    the game is really beautiful. It's definitely improved a lot over the first game. This game is a sequel so there's no need for a big era jump. Think about old games. 1-2-3 series is over, the game has evolved.

    Never experienced such a scorching disappointment. It's called Ragnarok, but there's nothing about the legendary clash between the forces of good and evil. Unfinished characters, rather poor bosses at the end. Fake prophecy. Nothing, you see a mile away that the idea was to make two more games after GoW18, but for unknown reasons they decided to make a bad conclusion    … Expand

Ich finde das Spiel super ein absolutes meisterwerk ich muss sagen das es dem 2018 Spiel sehr treu geblieben ist was nicht schlecht ist die Story und wie alles rübergebracht wird ist einfach etwas was man nirgendswo mehr findet was ich aber schade finde ist das was mit denn beiden Zwergen passiert der eine ist traumatisiert und wird nie wieder so sein wie er war und der andere ist tot Sindri und Atreus haben perfekt miteinander harmoniert und waren beste freunde aber jetzt wird sich alles ändern aber sonst ei tolles spiel es hab bis jetzt noch nichts dagegen einzuwenden.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Absolute masterpiece of a game, that's all I can say for this game. Literal at the start we are already hit by no dialogue, just music and deep emotions from Kratos. The story with Freya going from anger to finally finding a reason to stop. Noticing that Odin is the enemy. Enough with spoilers. The music is amazing perfect with any moment that's happening. Visually it looks stunning especially with 4k quality. Combat, chef kiss thats all need to be said. And the emotional moment hit hard with the relationship with Kratos and Atreus. And while the final boss fight is a bit disappointing, still a good one. And knowing that thor isn't the enemy makes him a good protagonist with his problems being with family, not Kratos. The ending hits that Atreus is now on his own to be on his own adventures without Kratos, and Kratos and Freya are a great duo. And the "secret ending" with brok's funeral doesn't rease the next game it just shows the hard hitting feeling for Sindri. I hope this game wins Game Of The Year, if not that's good this game will have a special place in my heart… Expand

    I can't help but tip my hat to the entire Santa Monica team. The deeper you delve into the game, the more you'll be drawn into the stunning story of a father and son against the backdrop of perhaps history's most horrific war. Throw in some casually endearing humour, great and fluid gameplay, and wrap it all up with an amazing audiovisual experience. [Issue#323]

    Thanks to an amazing cast that’s doing an outstanding job, a compelling story told through the eyes of multiple characters, and top-notch combat, this epic and heartfelt journey strikes all the right chord. It’s impossible not to recommend God of War Ragnarok, but just in case you had any doubts, I strongly advise anyone mildly interested in gaming to play Santa Monica Studio’s latest masterpiece.
