GLO is a simple and rewarding puzzle platformer with an daunting central mechanic – nearly everything that stands between you and your goal is obscured and invisible. Using only the light around you and the glow of your projectiles, you must rely on memory to guide you through the obstacles and hazards that you glimpse. Find reassurance and enlightenment in the messages written on the dark walls, illuminated as you progress and hinting at an emotional story. This is a beautiful and abstract journey across 100 levels, featuring precision controls and an atmospheric soundtrack to drive curiosity and stave off fear of the unknown. ItI bought this game for Nintendo Switch, and to be completely honest, the game was made for this console. Glo is a very ambiguous game. It lulls you into a false sense of security. Just as you think you are mastering it's mechanics, it throws a weird and wonderful spanner into the works. It's simplicity is the narcotic that keeps you coming back for more, it pretends to be your friend then betrays you in the cruelest ways. This game.... This game has had me swearing at the screen more times than I care to admit, but the sense of achievement you feel when you beat one of the harder levels is a feeling that is hard to replicate for the most hardcore of gamers. This game is difficult to the nth degree. It keeps on ramping up, yet is never unfair. When I first played Glo, I thought the boss levels were unfair, but, just like the rest of the game, the bosses have rhythms and patterns, just like any other platformer. It's just with these boss levels, you're completely in the dark, in a literal sense. I've died more times than I would care to admit in Glo, there is a death counter to remind me, but there is that wonderful 'Just one more go' magic embedded in this game that is so hard to describe and even harder to resist. Play this game. Expand
