Dec 15, 2024Flint: Treasure of Oblivion combines strategy role-playing gameplay with pen and paper elements - and it works! However, as a player you have to teach yourself a lot, the fights lack oomph and some aspects of the game are unfortunately not intuitive.

Dec 17, 2024Its niche setting and multitude of combat options make Flint: Treasure of Oblivion best suited for methodical turn-based fans and pirate enthusiasts. This is a game you’ll either be frustrated by or fall in love at the helm of this classic pirate tale.

Jan 23, 2025Flint: Treasure of Oblivion is a game of contrasts. Its captivating narrative, unique art style, and atmospheric music show clear potential. However, the clunky mechanics, steep learning curve, and inconsistent performance hold it back from being a standout title in the tactical RPG genre. While dedicated fans of pirate adventures and tactical games may find enjoyment in its offerings, the game may struggle to appeal to a wider audience without further refinement.

Jan 2, 2025Flint Treasure of Oblivion is a SRPG lite that puts the story and characters at the front, but leaves much to be desired in the gameplay and quantity of content departments. If you really love pirates and strategy RPGs can still be a decent choice, but the price is very high at launch and the game is very rough on a technical point of view.
