    Final Fantasy 16 hat meine Erwartungen übertroffen und mich auf eine emotionale Achterbahnfahrt mitgenommen! Die tiefgründige Handlung, die komplexen Charaktere und die atemberaubende Grafik haben mich von Anfang bis Ende gefesselt. Das Kampfsystem ist eine gelungene Mischung aus Strategie und Action, und die Welt, die geschaffen wurde, ist einfach atemberaubend.     Still working on finishing it at the moment but I have to say gameplay, story, and overall content it is just amazing. Truly got me by the feels in so many ways from super happy to sad then most of all pissed not just for the ppl in the MSQ but the side quest (I mean this in how is caught me). The combat is some of the most refreshing I have played in a long time and you can do so much with it even up or down how hard the game is on the fly (thank you for that SQ) I am so happy with this that I can't wait to get to new game plus but so not going to rush this I want to savor this for as long as possible. Yoshi P needs to teach the rest of the gaming companies how to run a game for the players because this is it just like FFXIV is it for the MMO side.… Expand

    best game of the year, probably the best FF story other than FFX
    gameplay is also really good and feels very satisfying to do big combos and big numbers. progressions also feels very nice unlocking all the cool eikons one by one and thus getting to use all of them.
    the only complaint being that the combat is slightly too easy (I-frames too long and bosses don't even come close to    best game of the year, probably the best FF story other than FFX

    Amazing story focused RPG just like you expect from a Final Fantasy game. Action based gameplay is faced is fast paced and flashy, as are the legendary Eikon battles.

    A masterpiece of action, Final Fantasy XVI manages to combine combat only Capcom could make so far with great storytelling, compelling characters brought to life by incredible acting, and amazing setpieces with Square Enix's legendary cinematic quality.

    First of, this game is like a 9 to me but since some people give ridiculous low scores just because they dont like the direction the franchise has taken ignoring completely that its actually a quality product i feel theres a need to balance things out.

    Combat is super fun and engaging, is not a hard game by any means but you still enjoy very much using the eikons skills and is super satisfying. I never went into a fight and felt bored, even deleting trash mobs is FUN.
    They really nailed the customization and build, not making a sphere grid of hundreds of useless nodes just a few and very significant, game-changing choices.

    Side content, specially quests start really bad but they got a lot better adding a lot the context and message the mains story tries to send. I never felt like i was doing it just for completionist sake, instead it was interesting to learn more about the game and characters.

    Really solid game and my personal goty pick so far.    … Expand

    First of all, please ignore ALL the comments related to the war console and hate on PS5 exclusives, and try the demo to be 100% sure you want this game.
    Said that, Final Fantasy XVI is the best entry of the saga in a looooong time.

    Mechanics: It is a really fun game. You can decide if you want to play it easy, or a little bit more hard. It is not a souls game, so don't expect to do the bosses 20 times, but if you choose action mode and you don't use the rings, you can have a nice experience that requires a bit of technique. Of course as you progress in the game it gets easier, like basically in every game.

    Exploration: It is like Final Fantasy XII. Almost exactly, if you don't like that this is not the game for you. I loved it.

    Graphics: They are amazing, the characters are really expressive and the scenarios are beautiful. There is a lot of different scenarios, unlike FF XV. Sometimes the NPC faces are a little bit stiff.

    Music: GOD

    Story: This part is 100% subjective, that is why I started my review recommending to play the demo. The game is dark and gloomy and sometimes it has a lot of dialogue and cinematics. If you don't like that, this is not the game for you. If you like complex, rich and interesting lore, this is the game for you. Of course as EVERY JRPG in history, it has its fantastic and weird elements, so expect that.
    I loved the story, I get really attached to the characters and really got me emotional.

    In conclusion I LOVED THIS GAME, and I love to see the way the saga is taking. Also the publishing was clean with no delays and an amazing marketing. The game doesn't have issues regarding bugs, it is very polished.    … Expand

    WOW! Ein richtig schön düsteres Final Fantasy. Die Inszenierung ist klasse, tolle Grafik und Musik. Hochwertige (deutsche) Sprecher. Auch das Kampfsystem überzeugt und ist bombastisch. So muss es sein. Wer auf Herr der Ringe, Game of Thrones, Witcher usw steht, wird hier gut aufgehoben sein. Hoffentlich kommt noch ein Addon in ähnlicher Qualität! Das ist Playstation!

    I bought the game without seeing any trailers or gameplay and now that i completed the game i must say what a game, The dark fantasy the characters are really good!!!!

    I'm totally loving this game. It's the first time I've really enjoyed a new Final Fantasy game since the old Squaresoft days. I've never really liked any of the other Final Fantasy games that Square Enix had put out.

    I have no words for this game, its so freaking entertaining and good, that apart from its shaky performance, everything else about it is simply *chef's kiss*.

    Unfortunately, the game is somewhat stained by mentally challenged basement dwellers that are preaching "lack of diversity" in a high fantasy video game where people turn into giant divine monsters, thinking its some sort of    I have no words for this game, its so freaking entertaining and good, that apart from its shaky performance, everything else about it is simply *chef's kiss*.

    Unfortunately, the game is somewhat stained by mentally challenged basement dwellers that are preaching "lack of diversity" in a high fantasy video game where people turn into giant divine monsters, thinking its some sort of "historical re-enactment of the true life story of the one and only Clive Rosfield and the land of Valisthea", and "score-bombing" a game I doubt they even finished or played at all, completely spitting on the original vision and the hard work of the developers and the artists, and the entire crew that brought the game to life, trying to get their way through bullying, and demanding "answers" as if they're entitled to ANYTHING. Do not be fooled, those disgusting things, make even "non-white" youtubers and reactors cringe at the absolutely, positively pathetic reason that they're "boycotting" the game for, to those people, I can only say one thing: get help.    … Expand

    Amazing game, incredible combat, rich story and unprecedented production. Final Fantasy XVI sets a new bar for quality all around this generation. Clive is the best protagonist since Cloud and the Eikon battles leave me picking my jaw up off the floor every time. A true work of digital art.

    This game is amazing! Absolutely love the way the story is told and the politics. It is very cool. I've loved all of the main characters, Clive at the top and Cid is fantastic. The combat feels very fluid, and yeah it does remind me of devil May cry in all the best ways. And the music. Oh god the music, this guy knows how to do it.     Fantastic story, great characters, combat is fun and probably the best game I have played in a long time. I know there is a lot of competition this year for goty but this is my choice.

    FF16 has been perfect so far. Characters are possibly the best I've ever seen in a FF game since FF10. It's dark, fun, and looks fantastic. Cannot be anymore happy with it.

    Final Fantasy XVI is an excellent game in every way. If you're a fan of the series for the stories and characters, you won't go wrong here, and if you've avoided the series for, say, turn-based combat, the sixteenth installment offers the perfect opportunity to get started with this legend of the gaming industry.     New numbered FFs are good again. Stunning to look at, with new, punchy combat, and a great yarn, it is, if anything, too focussed, lacking a bit of the weird. [Issue#30, p.78]
