    I don't get what people are complaining about, the game looks good, it's a lot of fun, love the dialog, Giancarlo Esposito is great. It's far cry...if you want a different game, buy a different game, but as a far cry game it's great

    Das war wieder ein geiler, wilder Ritt. Einfach Kopf frei kriegen, drauf los ballern oder stealthen. Hatte wieder meinen Spaß damit. Die Special und abstrusen Waffen habe ich so gut wie nie genutzt. Als Tier nur den Hund. Und halt so Standard-Waffen. Karabiner, Sniper und Pistole. So hab ich mir selbst ein nicht zu übertriebenes Spiel geschaffen.

    “Ubisoft” has become the generic term for any open world game with generic gameplay. Far Cry 6 is a very Ubisoft game, and I could care less about it.

    All the elements of modern gaming are there: on-line connection for some reason; annoyed; dialogue between mission because game developers hate giving players a moment of silence, mission givers, map icons, and all the usual guns and    “Ubisoft” has become the generic term for any open world game with generic gameplay. Far Cry 6 is a very Ubisoft game, and I could care less about it.

    All the elements of modern gaming are there: on-line connection for some reason; annoyed; dialogue between mission because game developers hate giving players a moment of silence, mission givers, map icons, and all the usual guns and vehicles. Far Cry 6 also continues the trend of colorful gaming by splattering everything with red paint for the bad guys and blue paint for the hood guys. Every system, down to the crafting menu, has the most basic, generic look and feel. Polished? Yes, but then that polish is cut and pasted across the entire game world. The gameplay feels exactly like the last Far Cry I played, which was Far Cry 4. Gun don’t really feel good. Driving doesn’t really feel good. And hiring enemies with a machete feels terrible. You charge to cut them in half, and they effortlessly knock you down. The only new game element is the “Supremo”, a backpack rocket launcher. This serves as the ultimate ability you see in many other games like Destiny and Overwatch. Everything does work, and I’m this age of busted releases, I give Ubisoft credit for not making a broken game.

    What makes these kind of generic open world games special is the open world. Give the player an interesting challenge and they will do it. Give the player a lot of cookie cutter based, and they will become bored and stop playing. That’s what happened with me. I could see the entire arc of the game after the first few mission. Doesn’t help that this game is so much like Just Cause 2, and Just Cause 2 made the revolution more fun.

    All in all, I think Ubisoft needs a change in leadership. As an organization, they just don’t have the taste or desire to make anything memorable. As far as I am concerned, they could give their games away. Indeed, I played Far Cry 6 over a free to play weekend. Despite every monetary reason to play this to the end, I couldn’t do it. Almost anything is more fun than Far Cry 6. I also couldn’t get past the first mission in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and I downloaded that via PlayStation Plus Extra. I probably won’t touch another Ubisoft game for the foreseeable future.    … Expand

    I’ve loved every Far Cry game since the first. I love this one as it’s more of the same and then some. It’s what I love about Far Cry; a giant sandbox of wtf I choose to do. I think the graphics could be a bit better but they are fine on a 75” 4K. The sound is top notch as always. I hate the parachute and wing suit as they feel fairly short-winded and otherwise worthless. I’ve played twoI’ve loved every Far Cry game since the first. I love this one as it’s more of the same and then some. It’s what I love about Far Cry; a giant sandbox of wtf I choose to do. I think the graphics could be a bit better but they are fine on a 75” 4K. The sound is top notch as always. I hate the parachute and wing suit as they feel fairly short-winded and otherwise worthless. I’ve played two days straight and have barely uncovered a portion of the map so far. I’m so happy to be in a different environment and not fighting meth head cultists.… Expand

    Ok, I'm giving this game a 10. It is one of the best Far Cry I've played since the third installment.
    I don't understand users' low scores, and I don't think it's justified. I've played 80 hours and I'd say, I've opened only 55% of the map and I still have that urge of continuing the game. It is that good.
    1 - The graphics. They are great, detailed, crisp and the game plays at 60 fps    Ok, I'm giving this game a 10. It is one of the best Far Cry I've played since the third installment.

    2 - Gameplay. Much better than the previous games. There are hundreds of missions to do and they are all fun. Yes, we have to slowly take over the map but the missions are varied and they are fun to play.

    3 - Story: I haven't beaten the game yet, however, the story up until now is entertaining and the villain is well played by a famous actor. I like the story and it is keeping me engaged.

    4 - The map is huge. I'd say it's one of the larger maps ever in a Far Cry game and there are several ways to navigate the map. Won't spoil them for you. There are dozens of unlockables and vehicles to discover. Dozens of weapons as well (more than any previous Far Cry game)

    Conclusion: This is a great Far Cry game and I want to encourage the developer by giving them a score of 10. They deserve it. They polished the game, put a lot of effort to diversify the missions, and kudos for that.    … Expand

    The same game that we see every year. Story is quite forgettable, missions are more or less all the same with the same old recipee. Main character is dull and boring. The game is not bad, but also it is nothing fascinating or inovative. Only two good things are Giancarlo Esposito and haptic feedback feeling when shooting. Everything else is ''meh''.

    It's probably the best Far Cry game ever made with ton mechanics, great setting and audiovisuals.
    However franchise needs some break and reboot cause year after year the concept is still the same.
    I've had fun with it and done platinum trophy in 40 hours, game can be completed in some 20.

    Dear Ubisoft, could you please fix the screen tearing issue on PS5? Also the annoying lagging cutscene. The gameplay experience is 7/10 but has too much of graphics glitches. Especially I can't withstand the screen tearing on PS5, it makes the graphics looks horrible.

    An opportunity missed in my humble opinion. This didn’t feel like a next gen game. More an upgraded PS4 game with slightly better graphics. I don’t know why but usually I climb high, look at the view and think ‘wow’ but I wasn’t feeling this at all. Also the weapon upgrades felt clunky, the missions and story were generic and the whole thing left me feeling a bit underwhelmed. Far Cry 7An opportunity missed in my humble opinion.     This is another really good FC game; if you like the gameplay loop of any games like Call of Duty, Modern Warfare, Assassin's Creed, etc., then you'll enjoy the loop of another FC game - lots of scavenging, crafting, exploring, unlock control posts, and so on. Minor differences here like weapon types, mods, unlocks, and gear types/bonuses. People hating on this game and giving it a zero because it's another FC game or they have glitching/bugs on their potato rigs, don't let them stop you. I have encountered zero bugs/glitches other than two minor sound issues and I play on Ultra settings with everything turned up. Some things they could have done a little better - the Machete kills seem a little too outrageous, they could have tuned that down. Also when you sell items, we don't need it count "3 pesos" at a time, when you sell 100-200 worth of pesos, you get a lot of UI counters, that felt tedious. Also, let us choose X to sell instead of "all" or one at a time. Lastly, the AI. Look, this game is "beer & pizza," it's not a AI masterclass and the franchise never was, the enemies generally follow a noise, and you will do a lot rip & run; things turn into a madhouse. If you've always enjoyed that, you'll enjoy this on a huge map scale. If you like co-op with your buddy as the gunner and you're just having a laugh tearing up the countryside, you'll enjoy this. It's a rock n' roll romphouse, not a symphony. If you want an amazing literary story, go read a book that won a Pulitzer -- this is a video game where you have a jet pack, hello. Enjoy.… Expand

Every part of it made me happy. 1 and 2 were unique. 3 was a masterpiece. 4 was a not-so-good copy-paste of 3 but it was okay. 5 was new and played differently. 6 however give us nothing new, but the same game with very bad quality.     I literally got the game for Giancarlo Esposito, he is an amazing actor and being this type of villain is right in his wheelhouse. But overall I really enjoyed this game, the parts that frustrated me are the difficulty spikes... like sometimes it felt like the villains would just keep coming and coming until    ***Disclaimer I have only played part of Far Cry 5, which I did not care for.***

(Giving the game 2 points for castillio (which is in itself generous) and 2 points for gameplay mechanics (although they can be fun it ultimately feels like a carbon copy of the previous games)… Expand

The campaign is still passable...but the one feature that was unique and had me coming back for 1000s of hours.. was REMOVED for the first time in over a decade of the franchise. The multiplayer and map editor feature is gone so I'll be staying on 5 until further notice. Its ubisofts own fault for its lack of taking off but blamesHasn't changed the formula much since Far Cry 3.     Probably the best far cry since in a while, it's a little too easy and gets repetitive but it does what it says on the box well. It would be fairly fun in co op but I hate people so will never experience it.

    The magic of Far Cry, the crazy, the whit, the freshness and the depth of the characters and story is totally lost and I wonder if they will recover from it, frankly.
    Everything from story to ending, the collectibles grinding and the Insurgency    The dullest entry of the series. It tries to be serious, involve serious topics of the world, but by doing so turned into a Ghost Recon: Far Cry.
    The magic of Far Cry, the crazy, the whit, the freshness and the depth of the characters and story is totally lost and I wonder if they will recover from it, frankly.
    Everything from story to ending, the collectibles grinding and the Insurgency endgame is a utter disappointment.

    Far cry 6 is a great game. I've played FC3, 4, 5 and 6. Far cry 3 is unique, Far cry 4 is FC3 with some upgrades and in the tibet. Far cry 5 for me os the worst, not a great map and non-sense history. But FC6 I think its the best. Yes, is more of the same, but its a great FC. The map os good, on PS4 the graphics are beautiful, the game runs Very clean, better than FC4 and FC5. The game isFar cry 6 is a great game. I've played FC3, 4, 5 and 6.     I love blowing things up , shootingthings up & I know its more far cry but its fun. Maybe one day ubisoft will take the direction of santa monica studios GOW & revamp the far cry game to something completely different, anyway im a fan. great fun game.

    I see people rate 0 on this game for not having Italian language and some saying it's the same far cry over and over again.

    Learn English ffs and what did you expect when you bought the game? That it would be a souls game? Of course it's more far cry. What a joke some people are!

    An excellent game, but there are bugs the same as when the DXR is turned on, the game crashes, played on cards 3080 and 2070, there is a soapy graphics, but yuisoft will fix it, because everyone already knows about it.

    Lo juego en la Xbox Series X, excelente ya llevo más de 10 horas de juego y en ningún momento me he aburrido. Narrativa y jugabilidad muy equilibrada.

    Farcry 6 is a better game than "new dawn" but then, that wouldn't exactly be hard. Is it better than 5 or 4. That's debatable. Four was dreadful except the villain. And 5 had human companions and a decent almost supernatural storyline along with a host of likeable NPCs.

    Farycry 6 starts off well, introducing a bunch of characters and then killing a few off. So far so good. And then it doesn't go well. The tutorials start befuddling themselves you are told of things well before they actually appear on screen, and occasionally get a tutorial about something that you've already achieved 30 minutes ago. It's a mess.

    The Map is designed badly, you'll wonder why you can't zoom in one more step. You'll set up a waypoint which you'll spend 3-4 minutes trying to find when you're looking around. Sometimes it'll just vanish and reappear when at a certain angle (even if you untrack missions). Makes exploration more frustrating than necessarily, after all these games. It's clear they've learned nothing from them.

    The first person vehicle thing is annoying, don't worry you can make them auto travel to your waypoint "L3" on the PS5 or if you're on a horse "X" because making them the same button would just be ridiculous. The horse is slightly bugged, so most of the time you dismount, you can't remount.

    And half the time you can't fast travel either because of combat (makes sense), bugged combat (frustrating but this is open world BS we're used to) and because the area is next to a quest objective (either to start or finish one) i'm not kidding. Not sure why they implemented that little nugget but you gotta travel manually. Don't worry you can summon rides. 4 to be exact. Oh sure you can save loads but you can't access those UNLESS you're in a base.

    The more you play farcry 6 the more you notice the bad points. Companions are all animals, and their AI would make pacman walk away in disgust. It's 2021. Come on. I'd have preferred the companion system of farycry 5 but maybe they were saving on voice actors. who knows. They're terrible in every way. If you manage to get them to kill 3 without having to be revived, there should be an achievement/trophy just for that alone.

    There's a lot of puzzle parts (no enemies), one of the puzzle parts have to be accessed at night with no fast travel nearby and you can't change the time. So just wait around once you find it. have something to eat, wonder why there's not an option to "press X to fast forward to night" just so you can move on. The level design is all over the place with this game.

    Puzzles aren't even very good, they're trying so hard to be Mirror Edge 1/2 but failing on every technical level. You'll get there but it won't be the puzzles that'll make it longer than necessary.

    You also get backpacks with special powers, and a special weapon to equip alongside them. Mix and Match. They're all pretty bland to be honest. There's plenty of weapons and they've done away with the levelling system (no skill points). Instead you gain guerrilla levels unlocking more things along the way. Resources are all over the place, you'll never run out of those. Animals are only used for trading now, so no crafting armour/bags etc anymore. Shame.

    They've even added a system where you gain leaders and recruits, doing ME Andromeda/DA inquisition missions which don't really award much, and feel like a late addition. I'm not sure why they were even added. Maybe they thought it would give the "base building" more depth. It does not. The base building thing is awful anyway but it fools you into thinking you're building up to something.

    Also while you're in these bases, you're in third person. yay what we all want "i'm not playing Just Cause 4, i'm not playing just cause 4" is something you'll say more than once.

    They really like colour as well, so it'll remind the older among us of the original farcry without the cool powers and the great gameplay. Rather than being gritty and brutal. Gives it an almost cartoon quality which is strange given the farcry 6 story.

    It's better than New Dawn, and you may enjoy it. I didn't really like it or dislike it so much not to beat it. Which doesn't take long whether you go to miami straight away after the starting island or wait around for another terrible farcry ending. Seriously they're getting good at these terrible endings.

    Probably to make way for a new map based years later so they can flog you another terrible ubisoft game. So you can expect a farcry game next year like Primal, and New Dawn before it. At least they're predictable now    … Expand

    Increible Graphics (at least on ps5),quite solid story, enormous map with lot of things to do and feels alive. Execellent gunplay and compannions (chorizo, guapo). IA should be much more advanced in a 2021 game, physics are not bad but could be way better like in Far Cry 2. It’s worth 70$? Yes

    I love this game. It's as simple as that. I understand that a lot of gamers are tired of the same old stuff for a Farcry game but I only joined this Franchise right before FC5 after playing Primal. Besides some muted looking cutscenes this was a super fun game and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

    Far Cry 6 is very good although similar to past far cry games the story is great. If you liked 3,4,5 you’ll definitely like 6. The only problems I had with this game was some screen tearing here and there but altogether a great game.

    maybe its just the island setting but i had a blast, i was so bored during far cry 4 and 5. and those settings were terrible. this is my 2nd fav far cry after 3. but yes the game is very same same as all far cry games. some new additions were good. looked great at 4k with 60fps. at least it worked at release unlike some games these days. story was kinda meh tho.

    I was sceptical about this game however after a few hours I can confirm this game is excellent and doesn't deserve all the bad reviews. The atmosphere (music and landscape) is awesome, the gunfights are nice as the weapon creativity, and AI isn't as bad as some people stated. I didn't like far cry 4 & 5 but this one is the perfect gateway after office work.

The only decent part, which is unfortunately advised to play at the beginning of the game is Carlos's - at least here is an actual cause of uprising against the regime. It feels like the rest of the game was designed by pre-millenials for what they thought millennials are like. I had to drop the game towards the end as it became way too unbearable to go through the whole plot nonsense so my Dani raced the hell out of the map straight to Miami. What could have been the best entry in the series was simply ruined by the developers trying to stay in trend and mixing a decent revolution plot line with grotesque millennial stereotypes that can be hardly appreciated by anyone.… Expand

    I've enjoyed every 35 hours of FC6. I disliked it at first because of the overall setting and characters, but finally, this game changed my views on the Spanish language and overall culture for the better. I'm amazed how many bad reviews there are, but I think it's just a thing now, hating everything just because you can :D

    A whole two weeks without so much as a hotfix for the awful enemy respawns and jittery cutscenes is absolutely ridiculous. The new ammo types add nothing, and if anything just detract from the gameplay. I'll amend my review if they ever end up fixing the damn thing.

I emphasise NEEDED because certain enemies are weak to certain bullets and there are tanks and helicopters in this game that can survive multiple rocket launcher attacks. There was nothing more satisfying in previous games then pulling out a rocket launcher and annihilating a vehicle in one beautiful explosion. Now it’s a painful, nonsensical experience. The enemies also respawn pretty quickly in this game and it’s beyond frustrating

    This story is beyond weak and filled with hard left politics. The game tells you that the American dream isn’t for people of your colour and drops so much propaganda that you feel like you’re playing “CNN: The Game”. The game will also constantly remind you that women are strong and brave just in case you forget.

    I didn’t mind the addition of horses in the game but why can I call my car over but not a horse? And get this, so when you call the car over, it doesn’t always come to you. You have to run at it and then the guy who brings it over takes forever to get out of the car and then he stands in the way of the door so I always found myself getting in through the other side and just switching seats. This is just BASIC STUFF they have gotten so wrong. Like it wasn’t play tested or something.

    So as you can imagine, all the characters are insufferable, egotistical losers who make you do literally everything. EVERYTHING. There’s a whole mission where you’re basically a roadie and you have to set up the stage for this God awful band that’s going to play some “totally rockin”, “How do you do fellow kids?” rap music. After you do that, you’re also their entire security. So whilst hundreds of soldiers come down to shoot up the concert (and you wish you could as well but you unfortunately have to side with these arrogant posers) they’re up there singing and dancing like they’re making a difference whilst you murder everybody who tries to stop them.

    Are you ever shown a decent amount of respect? No. I genuinely hate games like this where your character has given these people everything and in the next scene, they treat you like dirt again. It’s like your girlfriend’s mate, who despite you buying drinks for all night, says to you “If you hurt her, I’ll kill you”. I would desperately like to interrupt her and say “Yeah? What’re you going to do, you fat lard?”
    You could destroy these people in seconds but your character just takes it so you end up rejoicing instead of being sad when certain characters die.

    The graphics are disgusting for PS5. They had no right to charge what they did for this game.

    This is the worst Far Cry game I have ever played. It deserves the low rating I’m giving it because of the low effort they put in actually making the game. It’s recycled gameplay has been made worse. The characters are hateable, the story is weak and the ending is lame.    … Expand

The weapons slots have been taken down to even less than the last game and I can't throw shovels like spears anymore which was just fun. Every single NPC that is supposed to be an "ally" is a huge douche and i hate them all, i legitimately would change sides and join the enemies if i could just to kill these ungrateful pricks. Also you have clothing options now but not just for cosmetics but for dealing with poison, fire, and regular enemy gunfire but nothing is all reaching so you have to change your outfit way too freaking often. I could honestly go on and on about everything wrong with this game but I would rather not do that so I will point out some good points.

    It is fun to shoot people it handles like a far cry so nothing new there. The voice acting is fantastic and the graphics are pretty good (something that honestly doesn't bother me, if a game is good enough mechanically it could look like 8 bit for all i care). They have a lot of weapons to choose from but almost too many that i could easily become a con for many people. Giancarlo Esposito is amazing so that really helps me trudge through this swamp of disappointment just to see him do his monologues. The animal companions are pretty cool but they had that in 5 so... yeah, and Chorizo (the dog) is so freaking cute i could just spend the whole game running errands for him. I also really like that the main character has a voice for both genders unlike 5 which is like one of the only steps forward.

    If i could get a refund i would and that really upsets me to say cause i really wanted to like this game to the point where i was lying to myself and trying to force myself to like it. Like i said this series is one of my all time favorite and they just tried to do something slightly different and ended up really fumbling it. Supposedly Ubisoft has 7 will go in a completely new direction so here's hoping they get it right. Though this review is the second day of it release and we probably wont see 7 for like 3 or 4 years.     I'd say like everyone else that it's just a far cry game so if you are burned out on the series don't buy this one. But if you are like me that plays co-op alot it's fun.

    O jogo deixa muito a desejar na IA dos npcs, e está com algumas texturas borradas, mesmo em 4k ultra, com ou sem o pac hd, o jogo que era pra ter gráficos bonitos, acaba estragando a experiência com esses defeitos, que arrumem logo esses bugs nas texturas.

    how does ubisoft manage to mix in the best parts of far cry 3 and 5 with the worst parts of 4 and new dawn? for every positive thing i could say about this game, theres a lot of negatives holding it back from ever truly being a worthy successor to far cry 3 and 5

    The best far cry yet, brings back the great points of the old games with stunning graphics and amazing gunplay, I was disappointed with far cry 5 and I love this one.

    Far Cry 6 is Far Cry at is full potential. Unlike many of the other games where its nothing but the most basic principles of Far Cry (basic revolution story, basic fps combat, basic tropical map, basic repetitive gameplay loop and side missions, basic enemy variation, etc, etc) this one skimps nowhere. Extensive gameplay and visual customization, amazing main and side stories andFar Cry 6 is Far Cry at is full potential. Unlike many of the other games where its nothing but the most basic principles of Far Cry (basic revolution story, basic fps combat, basic tropical map, basic repetitive gameplay loop and side missions, basic enemy variation, etc, etc) this one skimps nowhere. Extensive gameplay and visual customization, amazing main and side stories and characters, tons of different things to do that you will actually WANT to do, a beautifully diverse and massive map, and an actual cinematic experience and satisfying action combat regardless of how you choose to play makes this not only the best Far Cry game, but one of the best open world games I've ever played. I could mistake this for a huge stand alone project from a different company. Unexpectedly impressed.… Expand

    THE GAME IS AMAZING. And I love the music. And there is a house huge improvement from far cry 5 to 6. And the map is beautiful, there are jungle, mountains and beaches.

    It's an amazing game, the more I play it the more I love it. Thanks to Ubisoft, it's one of the best Far Cry games out there. It revived my hope for video games.

    If you are a Far Cry fan its more Far Cry. The weapons feel a lot more weighted and precise and feels like what a good FPS should feel like. The story is very interesting and keeps my interest. The companions work pretty well depending on the situation. I will say it can get a little repetitive at times but it does have a nice mix of things and again if you are a Far Cry fan then this isIf you are a Far Cry fan its more Far Cry. The weapons feel a lot more weighted and precise and feels like what a good FPS should feel like. The story is very interesting and keeps my interest. Carlos who ever he is doesn't do much for me in terms of anything. He creates a stark contrast between his character and well everyone else looks like a cartoon next to him which pulls me out of the game. Speaking of the game, its still choppy as hell onFar Cry to me has always been more about the fun action and exploration! In those core aspects I enjoy playing and venturing the world.     If you like Far Cry, you will love this. It’s just more of the hectic, fast gameplay, players have grown to love from the Far Cry series.

    Ubisoft's signature franchises continue to deliver on what the fans have come to expect and Far Cry 6 is no exception. A sprawling sandbox with tons to do and perfect escapism for a few hours… a few tens of hours. Fans of the series or Ubisoft's style, in general, will want to pick this one up, those who haven't ever clicked with them will find nothing new here to change their mind, with only a few changes that just do not push the boat out or move away from the formulaic. Most exciting though, is the upcoming DLC: a season pass that promises to give players a whole different experience. Stepping into the shoes of the villains of the previous games, starting with Vaas.     The new episode of the Far Cry series really tries a lot to find new ways how to enjoy the game, and at the same time it relies on the unattainable depth that the charismatic Giancarlo Esposito was supposed to give to the game. Instead, players again receive a disparate mishmash that is increasingly moving away from both the original Far Cry idea and the Just Cause sandbox.

    If I’m being honest, my frustrations with the marketing’s focus on the worst caricatures of Latinx people made me brace myself for a racist triple-A experience full of gross clichés and awkward attempts to be apolitical. Instead, I was surprised to find that more thought than I expected was put into its depiction of Latinx people. Although it isn’t perfect — those cringeworthy lines! The grind of finding gear! — it’s better than what I initially expected, and that counts for something.
