Ok no Problem. Wouldn’t the game just play like **** Typical far cry was a FAST game, this game on the other hand is so slow. Movement feels so weirdly bad. I don’t want to mention it, but for real, even far cry 3 did it better. They try so hard to let the game look like a movie or something. But I just can’t grab the popcorn to it. What’s about all those dumb mechanics in this game? Is this how you want to change the game from other far cry’s? I mean I could choose other bullets too in other far cry’s, but for **** sake, it wasn’t necessary. Enemy’s sponge the **** out of you with the wrong ammunition. Where do you think this is fun? Isn’t that the reason why we all play? To be amused? I can’t find a point where this system would bring me any joy. Ubisoft really lost their sense for that. They add unnecessary things just to add playtime/complexity/variation. Give me **** 20 different weapons. That is variation. That is a good thing. But that crap?

    I really think I have wasted another 60€ on an Ubisoft game and even on far cry, my most beloved game series. **** you Ubisoft. A **** loot open world leveling game from Ubisoft at its best. Press X to to grab Y. NICE, im even forced to do this bull**** to UpGrAdE mY wEaPoNs

    Far Cry 6 has arrived, with a bigger, badder and better open world to explore, original custom-made latin songs (and weapons!) and with the most badass villain there can be, Gus Fring from Breaking Bad, Giancarlo Esposito as Anton Castillo. The game has very nice visuals and gameplay, fun for everyone looking for the GTA experience in a country like Cuba. A couple bugs here and there,Far Cry 6 has arrived, with a bigger, badder and better open world to explore, original custom-made latin songs (and weapons!) and with the most badass villain there can be, Gus Fring from Breaking Bad, Giancarlo Esposito as Anton Castillo. The game has very nice visuals and gameplay, fun for everyone looking for the GTA experience in a country like Cuba. A couple bugs here and there, nothing bad, and a nice future in sight with new missions and DLCs, this game will give you enough to keep the fun going. Oh, and very nice latin dubbing job!… Expand

    It's Far Cry with new ideas.
    The backpacks are a nice addition,
    the map is beautiful and tropical again.
    The animal companions are funny af.
    9/10 great game.

    Simply the worst part of Far Cry series. It's boring to play this. All characters are miserable and do not evoke any feelings. I give three points only for good level design (i see that a lot of people work at Ubisoft and they create many useless but beautiful models that can already be scattered across the levels).

    Very boring, I put the game down after only half an hour. I was really hoping to get into the Far Cry series with this one and the only thing that happened was I lost 70 bucks

    Lots of places to explore, Lots of things to find
    The story is average good, it's a normal far cry story that is good
    I had a lot of fun playing this game :)

    I'll give it a 10 to negate the ridiculous low scores. It's a far cry game, does what it says on the tin, nothing more nothing less. I've had loalts of fun with it so far, especially with the resolver weapons, and the dog chorizo is worth getting the game alone

    Just a horrible buggy mess that seems like it wasn't even play tested. So many problems. Do not buy. I put it on the shelf next to Cyberpunk 2077. I'll revisit the game and update this review after several patches make it suck less however.

    4/10 is a real score. Don't mind all these Italian people who never played it posting 0's because it doesn't come in their language.

    I have played and finished every Far Cry gamee since the first. I loved every minute of every game and played them all from begining to end.. But with far cry 6 I am 20 hour in and bored out of my mind..FC 6 is a hugh steep in the wrong direction..Its an open world game filling with generic overused ideas, lbgtq politics, tedious grind or pay mechanics and not one ounce of originality..I have played and finished every Far Cry gamee since the first.     총 쏘는 느낌은 5보다는 개선되었다. 노래도 신나고 게릴라가 되어 야라를 해방시킨다는 스토리도 좋다. 그러나 5편같이 뭔가 지루하고 끄고 싶게 만드는 게임이다.
    1. 일단 게임 방식이 여전히 그대로다. 내가 파크라이를 3편부터 했는데 게임의 방식이 똑같다. 여기 점령하고 여기끝나면 저기 점령하고 이것만 몇십시간을 하는데 안 질리겠냐? 2. 말 타는 느낌이 쓰레기다. 레데리2나 킹덤컴이랑 비교했을 때 매우 나쁘다. 레데리2는 그렇다 치고 어떻게 AAA급으로 게임값을 받고 킹덤컴보다 구리냐? 3. 그래픽이 좋다고 하는데 난 5편이랑 비교해서 뭐가 좋다는지 모르겠다. 근데 이건 내가 hdr을 꺼놔서 그럴수도 있다.

    First time I feel the need to do a review, the game is horrible. Stealth in this game is only melee kill, because most of the time even with the right ammo type a headshot won't be a kill because of the **** system they implemented. Last Ubisoft game I ever will play garbage.

    Terrible game I played the entire game, was all terrible because of 90% programming issues, the developers are the most incompetent people ever, you can’t enter planes or fight enemies without 20 million bugs and this is on ps4 the game is so trash because the developers all failed high school it is so disgusting.

    NEVER IN MY LIFE I thought I could say that a far cry game is a huge disaster cuz far cry 3 4 5 and primal we're such great games.

    People that say the game is trash cuz it's nothing new are wrong cuz it's the total contrary the game is trash cuz it's too different from other far cry and they took away many aspects that made previous far cry good. Same thing with people who say graphics    NEVER IN MY LIFE I thought I could say that a far cry game is a huge disaster cuz far cry 3 4 5 and primal we're such great games.

Same thing with people who say graphics are trash this is pure trolling here. Fc5 almost look like **** graphically compared to this one. Anyway that's a nonsense that come often with some haters when they dislike a game they close their
    eyes to the good aspects of the game which isn't my case.

    I want to apologize first for my bad english. English isn't my primary languages so I'll try to do my best.

    Here's the good :

    I play the game on my ps5 on a 1080p tv and the graphics are so insane. Textures and particules of rocks, tree's, water, walls, ground, grass, cars are just totally insane and a huge step forward the 5 which had already great graphics. Lightning effects are also incredible the sun effects is just insane. All the details in the environments are much more important and numerous than the 5 that mean there's way more tree's, rocks, shrubs and the ground is more detailed with so much more sands, little rocks or garbages and all the details of what's in the nature. Underneath the water it's much more filled, much more different fish and corals by example. It's simple the environment and graphics makes you forget it's a game and makes you believe you're in a real nature. No far cry or open world ever had graphics and details like that. Not even rdr2 or ghost of Tsushima not even close. Make side by side comparison and look the number of details very close you'll see by yourself. One bad thing's about the visuals is the fire every fire effects like when you shoot or explosion are atrocious it's VERY cartoony and doesn't fit at all with all the other extremely impressive visuals of the game.

    Sounds effects are also very impressive. In fc5 sounds of weapons when shooting we're bad, now they improved that aspect a lot. You also finally hear correctly bullet impact on ennemies which makes the shooting much more fun and satisfying. There's also a little more blood when killing ennemies. The haptic feedback on PS5 controller is very well used in that game and makes even better the shooting. When driving a car also the haptic feels VERY satisfying. The only bad aspect for the sounds are explosion.

    Now the bad :

    The worst flaw of that game is the possibility of changing weapons everywhere. In previous far cry and even ghost recon breakpoint you needed to be in a shop or special place to change weapons. Now you no longer need to be in a shop or base you can carry 50 weapons on you if you want. Admit it please it's suck si deeply badly and makes the game less realistic and more like the division which is not suppose to be like that in a far cry game who is more focused on realism than a game like the division. The other problem with that is the fact that it is more easier. It makes the game so easy. I previous far cry you had to deal with the weapon you had on you when facing danger that was challenging now if I got a problem because ennemies are too powerful by example well I just need to take another type of weapon and continue to fight instead of forcing me to play well, be cautious and deal with my only 4 weapons, now I can play like **** and it's ok I just need to get another weapon in my loadout if I'm in serious problem. The goal of carrying only 4 weapons on me is to make the game more realism adventurous and challenging. Now that thing is gone.

    The other major flaw of the game is that you can now have access to bullet VERY easily. You just need to fast travel at any place who got a resolver workbench and allllllllll your weapons will get full ammo without any cost. You can also call a car anytime like in Mafia 3 and the car will be there in 3 seconds and you can take ammo there too. So no need to work hard to get ammo no need to kills animals sells their fur to get money and buying ammo no need to search for ammo no need to kills ennemies to get ammo cuz you have access too easily now. It was a major thing in previous far cry you needed the search in wilderness in that hostile nature to get ammo or thing's to sell to get money's then getting ammo. It's part of what makes far cry a far cry, this little survival aspect of having no more ammo and having no choice but venture yourself into that hostile nature to search for everything that could give you ammo. Weapons were also more expensive.

    Thing is, I like Ubisoft they make so great games. I'm a huge fan and it hurts me cuz the only thing I wanted is to love this game and when I saw the stunning graphics lightning and sounds effects, shooting mechanics I wanted even more to love the game so the deception hurts me even more.    … Expand

    Great game ruined by rpg elements And microtransaction. It's not like the others in the series sadly. Nothing like shooting an enemy in the head and seeing them run off. I'm really hoping it gets a patch. If fixed I'd definitely give it a 9 out of 10. My other gripe is the animals. There is not many this time around.

This game is a fun open world forst person shooting like most past far cry games. I even think story is better. If you want more of that, then go for this game and youll have a good time. The world looks beautiful too.

Most of the men characters in the game are bumbling idiots or highly flawed. But not the female leaders? Like Lorenzo goes to speak and they shut him up so lucky mama can talk. Trying wayyy too hard to make a point. To extent that it’s distracting and simply just bad character writing and development.

    Not to mention you have people suffering under and actual dictatorship and you’ve got this trans character whining about how hard it is for them. With that kind of suffering. Sexual orientation takes a back seat. You worry about all that kind of stuff after people aren’t dying all around you. The whole woke agenda was really really distracting and annoying. Pretty big disappointment when the most likable and interesting characters are your villains. Next far cry I’m gonna wait before I buy.     I really liked all of the Far Cry games, but this one is really lame. It seems like just a lazy remake of a combination of the other games and nothing new whatsoever. It's not immersive, just your typical go on mission BS, and has no real plot that is worth anything. it's summed up best as LAZY. I was expecting so much more.

    - game is same as FC3 FC4 FC5. Barely no new mechanics. Missions are repetitive and boring. - story is the same as always (crazy bad guy / you join the resistance from nowhere / solve the problem)

    So many socialist **** identity politics which lowers the score for me. Story was just ok. Guns were dope. So many women protagonists. Always seems like they just want men to disappear or become weak and killed off. Very sexist.

    Worst farcry in the series. Horrible graphics worse than the last installment, bland story with a horribly boring and one dimensional villain, and one of the most unsatisfying endings in any modern day video game.

    Je mets 10 pour relever la note a cause des abrutis qui mettent 10 sans meme y avoir joué, Far Cry 6 est un vrai bon jeu! L’histoire est cool, Dani est très sympathique et les missions annexes sont intéressantes (les chasses au tresor bien plus funs) je ne comprends pas comment on pzut mak noter ce jeu en ayant aimé Far Cry 5…

    Don't buy this on ubisoft connect.
    Cant play the game i payed for as ubisoft connect is a horrendous **** launcher. Eventhough the game is probably fun if you can play it, It is part of how i experience a game launch. Not being able to play or with a unreliable launcher adds to how you experience playing a game. Namely frustration and time wasted lmao.

    J'en ai tellement marre, far cry 5 m'avait déjà énormément déçu et la c'est encore pire.
    Je suis a 15h de jeu et j'ai vraiment l'impression que le jeu avait un potentiel de malade mais comme d'habitude avec Ubi leurs jeux sont de reskin des 3 anciens far cry.
    Ils savent faire des mondes beau et cohérent par contre pour le reste c'est le néant, Ubi c'est la chute libre, triste.

Don’t get me wrong, this game doesn’t reinvent the wheel. So if you are tired of Far Cry because they are all the same games, I wouldn’t hop on this one quite yet. But, if you’ve skipped a couple Far Cry games and are curious about this one, I would definitely recommend this game. The crafting system in the game takes that old school Far Cry gameplay and freshens it up quite a bit.

    I wouldn’t normally give this game a 10, but the review bombing taking place because there isn’t Italian audio is utterly ridiculous. Try speaking Mandarin! Maybe 5% of games have a Mandarin dialogue and you don’t see any review bombing when A GAME MADE IN THE US doesn’t have Chinese dialogue. Just read the subtitles like the rest of us and get over yourselves…

    PS5 version of the game has crashed 2 times so farand has the typical trade mark of Ubi Soft titles (Glitches etc). Graphically it is lacking for a next generation title, not what I was expecting. Avoid its just dissapointing.

    This is the best Far Cry so far. Level of design, flexibilty, multiple approach is incredible. Environment is simply incredible, like the change up having a city and then having palms and seaside. Far Cry 3 has definitely been surpassed. Best things are different weapons,trinkets and the whole system of Right tool for the right job.

    It's certainly the best far cry game to date, but not devoid of the series tropes. Might be hard to get into if you've played every previous entry.
    Though rating it on It's own ignoring past titles It's a fantastic game. Also female Dani is hot.

    Its already looking great, i love it, it’s still a far cry but oh damn it’s a good one, In the first minute of gameplay I was hooked, the animation are good, the story and vilain are awesome, fidelity fx makes the game playable on my Rx 580 at 70 fps ! !

    When I played the first 10 hours, a phrase came to my mind: "You see, I’m a guy of simple tastes: I enjoy dynamite, and gunpowder, and gasoline!". Yes, Joker, that is what Far Cry 6 - chaos, fire and black humor!

    Enemies are now smart, they have tech, they have machines, and the harder you push, the harder they push back. Dynamic enemy levels system makes the game universal: don't wanna do secondary missions? Okay, play the main scenario, and the enemies will be nice and quite. Wanna challenge? Give it 100% completion and it'll feel like hell.

    The world became more complex: there are hidden trails, open roads, blockposts, air defense guns, mines, stretch grenades, camps - it all have its meaning, value and works for fun. Guns and customizations system is huge, complex and, what is the main item, it works.

    I suppose there is no need to mention characters, scenario and beautiful, full of interesting events world - it's something we have in all Far Cry games.

    So, in a couple of words and without spoilers, that's it. It's the best Far Cry ever, it gives a lo-ot of emotions, fun and even things to think about. 10/10    … Expand

    While at first the idea of different ammunition for various enemies worried me, it didn't take long before I was embracing this New gameplay aspect. Once I started Resolving (Upgrading) weapon's, I really started to enjoy the New direction in combat. AI feels a lot more responsive now and not so mindless as in previous Far Cry game's (Except 2).
    AI won't just directly attack you and they will even give you fair warning if you're approaching somewhere you should not.

    Now the game actually took me 10 hour's to realise there was a store where you could buy in-game currency, the reason being that there is just so much to do and find already in the game. The amount of weapon's, vehicle's and clothes far exceeds any previous Far Cry game.
    When we talk about Far Cry 2 we often praise it for it's incredible physics and gunplay. While the physics still haven't reached Far Cry 2 level's on 6, I can still say for certain they're the best physics since Far Cry 2. The game is a blast to play, gunplay does feel great and driving the vehicle's is a lot of fun.

    Now to point out some console exclusive Pro's that really make this game shine.
    The dualsense haptics and especially the adaptive triggers on the PS5 are amazing.
    Guns feel like they have weight with each trigger pull, and so do vehicle's with their handling and acceleration. Downsides have been screen tearing on the PS5 and rare frame-drops.

    Personally I didn't think I would like this game, it had all the Red flags of just another Far Cry game.
    But the truth is that it is just incredibly fun, the map design is one of Ubisoft's best.

    It's evident that many of us wanted to see a gritty return to that Far Cry 2 style, but the truth is this may be the best mix of Far Cry 2 and 3 that we could get.
    With the huge amount of option's to tweak your gameplay style I really cannot see anyone not enjoying this game.

    Most of the negative talk surrounding this game tends to be from people that haven't actually played the game.
    I can attest to the fact that until you're in control of the game yourself, you really have no idea how fun it is.
    And isn't fun what we're ultimately looking for? We shouldn't put down a good game just because it is not the game we expected.

    Don't listen to the naysayers or listen to the Italian review score bombers - this is a very fun game, in a compelling world. My only gripe is that they did not do enough of the non-violent aspects of revolution (this could have benefited from more hearts and minds, UN inspections etc), but for what it is, it's pretty much the best the Far Cry series has to offer. Yes, the gameplay is veryDon't listen to the naysayers or listen to the Italian review score bombers - this is a very fun game, in a compelling world. My only gripe is that they did not do enough of the non-violent aspects of revolution (this could have benefited from more hearts and minds, UN inspections etc), but for what it is, it's pretty much the best the Far Cry series has to offer. Yes, the gameplay is very familiar, but it's polished and offers a wealth of fun activities - and to my mind one of the best games of the year so far.… Expand

    A fantastic Fry Cry game and in my opinion, the best far cry to date with a very strong villain, excellent voice acting across the board, and a beautiful vibrant world to explore and destroy. It’s simply a blast. Highly recommended.

Personally I'm not a fan of the armor type modification / switching but then again I am a fan of stealing a tank and completing a "stealth" mission by driving it into an enemy base using the main cannon to blow up the alarm points.Folks, it's a Far Cry game. After playing for hours I began to see they watered down the sense of progression with your character. You do craft things, but it is via recipes you already have in some big drop down list. I was expecting a very inventive, improvised, and clever use of weapon crafting with what was improvised but yet you magically make weapons out of depleted uranium that offer up a different twist in how you can fight enemies. Yet, it feels tacked onto the game since you could technically ignore the Resolver (various versions of hand weapons that do unique things like spray enemies with chemicals or shoot nails), and the Supremo (a backpack that fire rocket, emits an EMP, and more) systems added and still play like you did the other Far Cry games.

    The story while interesting as well seems to divide the game into three sections of the map each with their own potential allies you need to work with to eventually earn their allegiance to join your cause. While the characters are fun and their stories interesting it feels disjointed and doesn't seem to come together well enough. For me currently it feels more like a chore to do these three areas than an enjoyable experience that could have perhaps been better interwoven into the overall story better.

    In the end if you want more raiding of forts via whatever machinations you wish to employ, fishing, hunting, and seeking out hidden treasures via simple environment puzzles you'll like the game. But if you were expecting something revolutionary... well this isn't it oddly enough.    … Expand

    I loved the first Far Cry for all its cringe gaming moments. I sort of enjoyed Far Cry 2 and more so appreciated what they were trying to accomplish. Far Cry 3 and 4 were greatness. Far Cry 5 I didn't expect to love but did.

    A lot if the reviews here are laughable. This is the best far cry yet and has amazing graphics and an amazing world and gameplay. Its still far cry yes but it has never been done this good before and it is just a none stop action thrill ride. It just blows my mind how many people are slaughtering this game.     I don’t know why all the low scores I mean I’m not sure the graphics are up to standard of other PS5 games but there still brighter and better than a PS4 game. The game itself has new mechanics like stronger bullets depending on the armour of the bad guys. I've even enjoyed some of the DLC /spinoff games like Blood Dragon which was great fun, and Primal, which was enjoyable and fun despite it being a bit bloated for the simple story it had.

    Far Cry 3 and 4 were the pique of the series so far, Far Cry 5 had it's moments but Far Cry 6 had real potential. A somewhat gritty and interesting story, with interesting characters and somewhat based on a real revolution.
    Far Cry 6 pulled me in with a trailer that hasn't impressed me so much since the earlier Assassin's Creed games (also a Ubisoft series), stunning music, great visuals, and Giancarlo Esposito as the antagonist.
    Plus it's the first PS5 Far Cry game, so hopes were high.
    All that being said, the story of Far Cry 6 was pretty poor. There was tons of potential, but it didn't really go anywhere.
    Firsty, open world games just tend to suck at narratives. You spent tens of hours doing side quests and battles for a 5 minute cutscene of the antagonist every now and then. Few games managed to make the stories interesting despite being open-world. Assassins' creed 1-3 actually did manage to pull it off (again a ubisoft series).
    Far Cry 6 did one thing well, and that was the protagonist. Normally Far Cry protagonists are shells with no personalities that the player is meant to insert themselves into, however, Far Cry 6 has a great protagnist for once. And the Protagonists were well cast, and had potential, but nothing really came from their characters. WIthout spoiling, the plot just falls flat.

    I'm glad I waited for Far Cry 6 to be on a sale, I think I'd be more upset if I'd spent hundreds of dollars on it.    … Expand

    FOR ALL ITALIAN PEOPLE HERE: Learn to speak English. I'm from The Netherlands, do you think Dutch is an option in Far Cry 6? No. But since when is that a problem? You lower the score over some bs. Thanks to these Itlaian reviewers this game gets a 3.9 in stead of a 7 or higher.

    This game is an 8 out of 10 at least. I am giving it a 10 to balance the negative reviews. It is Far Cry. If you liked Far Cry 3,4,5, you’ll like this one.

    I’ve played every Far Cry game including this one. New Dawn was my favorite. This game has been absolutely fantastic in many respects. The graphics are fantastic on the PlayStation 5. I often find myself just pausing to take snapshots. The story, although very similar to most other FarCry games, was enough to keep me interested and moving from mission to mission. The choice to return to third person for cutscenes feels better than the first person only scenes of some of the past games. I found myself excited to come home from work every day and play for many hours. I’ve played many, many games this year and I would consider this to be in the running for Game of the Year. I will continue enjoying this game for many more hours until the next FarCry game.… Expand

    Ubisoft's signature franchises continue to deliver on what the fans have come to expect and Far Cry 6 is no exception. A sprawling sandbox with tons to do and perfect escapism for a few hours… a few tens of hours. Fans of the series or Ubisoft's style, in general, will want to pick this one up, those who haven't ever clicked with them will find nothing new here to change their mind, with only a few changes that just do not push the boat out or move away from the formulaic. Most exciting though, is the upcoming DLC: a season pass that promises to give players a whole different experience. Stepping into the shoes of the villains of the previous games, starting with Vaas.     The new episode of the Far Cry series really tries a lot to find new ways how to enjoy the game, and at the same time it relies on the unattainable depth that the charismatic Giancarlo Esposito was supposed to give to the game. Instead, players again receive a disparate mishmash that is increasingly moving away from both the original Far Cry idea and the Just Cause sandbox.

    If I’m being honest, my frustrations with the marketing’s focus on the worst caricatures of Latinx people made me brace myself for a racist triple-A experience full of gross clichés and awkward attempts to be apolitical. Instead, I was surprised to find that more thought than I expected was put into its depiction of Latinx people. Although it isn’t perfect — those cringeworthy lines! The grind of finding gear! — it’s better than what I initially expected, and that counts for something.
