    This is a buggy piece of sh*t also as Ubisoft launcher. I do not understand, how they dare sell so raw game, and why it's so hard to hire good developers for making a good launcher. It was one of my favorite franchises.

    Premièrement les décors sont vraiment beau ! J’aime bien les réactions à la première personne ( personnage parle quand on lui dit salut ).Mais on ne peut pas augmenter le personnage comme les autres far-cry. Les armes sont a chier, les animaux sa fais vraiment dur, aucune ressemblance avec les autres jeux. J’ai l’impression qu’ils ont mixé assassin creed et far-cry. La carte est moinsPremièrement les décors sont vraiment beau !     Empty open world, barely any vehicles on the roads.
    The characters are just lame and high maintenance, disgusting.

    The only interesting characters are shown in cutscenes (the main antagonist and his son).
    Don't waste your money on this copy-pasta Ubisoft open-world.

    Just don't. Don't buy it even if its 10 EUR. This is the **** Far Cry ever, and I have been playing Far Cry since the 1st one. The story is boring and annoying, the friendly characters are boring and EXTREMELY annoying. The music is also annoying but thats personal preference. The graphics are nice, but nothing you have not seen before. The game is buggy, like I had a main mission whereJust don't. Don't buy it even if its 10 EUR. This is the **** Far Cry ever, and I have been playing Far Cry since the 1st one. The story is boring and annoying, the friendly characters are boring and EXTREMELY annoying. The music is also annoying but thats personal preference. The graphics are nice, but nothing you have not seen before. The game is buggy, like I had a main mission where the enemies just became invisible...The pets are cool but useless except for maybe one of them, if you have ally AI they are absolutely useless,they are like Mr Bean running in a circle. The enemies can pinpoint you and send bullet hail to finish you if they wish, mainly during the main story throwing constant stream of grenades, rockets, annoying **** fire and pinpoint precision shots even if you are in cover, and helicopters.You get used to it, but everything depends on your gear chosen on occasion, which means you will never feel you leveled up, since the game punishes you if you advance the story and do side quests , as everything gets leveled up too. There is absolutely no sense in doing the "side mission" as everything just gets harder. This game sucks, its boring, overpriced, a complete copy paste of former far cries and at the same time sucks every bit of enjoyment out of it. I don't even want to talk about the woke propaganda. Just don't, don't buy. Even if its discounted. I wish I could get back my time playing this game and doing something productive,like cleaning someone's latrine.… Expand

    I have played and finished every Far Cry gamee since the first. I loved every minute of every game and played them all from begining to end.. But with far cry 6 I am 20 hour in and bored out of my mind..FC 6 is a hugh steep in the wrong direction..Its an open world game filling with generic overused ideas, lbgtq politics, tedious grind or pay mechanics and not one ounce of originality..I have played and finished every Far Cry gamee since the first. I loved every minute of every game and played them all from begining to end..     I love the Far Cry series. I've gotten platinum on all of the games since Far Cry 3 until this one... and this will probably be the only one I don't platinum because the game began stealing my resources.

    For example, I would spend hours farming to upgrade a camp facility to 3. Then it would degrade the facility's level upon exiting the game and coming back, but it would save the spent    I love the Far Cry series. I've gotten platinum on all of the games since Far Cry 3 until this one... and this will probably be the only one I don't platinum because the game began stealing my resources.

    For example, I would spend hours farming to upgrade a camp facility to 3. Then it would degrade the facility's level upon exiting the game and coming back, but it would save the spent resources. I made sure the game autosaved multiple times after upgrading the facility. It even saved everything I did afterwards, like the weapons I purchased and modifications I made to them.

    If you google this issue you will see others reporting this problem since release and nothing has ever been done about it. Sure all Far Cry's have had their bugs, but one that steals a ton of resources from you? I just can't do it. Not until this has been resolved. I emailed customer support and I will update this review if they solve the issue. Until then, I will cut my losses and not be wasting any more time on this game.    … Expand

    Gun mechanics are awful, each gun feels exactly the same. Even if one gun felt particularly good, you probably wouldn't be able to    Soulless. Another game with a nonsensical story, bland open world, zero innovation, and outright removal of fun mechanics to meet deadlines.

    Gun mechanics are awful, each gun feels exactly the same. Even if one gun felt particularly good, you probably wouldn't be able to use it because they opted to gate weapons, offering clear winners and losers. Gear sets are an abject failure, not because gear sets are bad, but because the bonuses they offer often should be base features or should be allotted to a perk system, not mutually exclusive. I played with the parkour set the majority of the time because to make that gearset viable, they decided to nerf the **** out of movement speed.

    What in the world are be doing with map discovery? No towers removes one of the most fun systems in far cry in an effort to have players go out and explore every corner. The issue with that is this map is essentially vacant. The world we are expected to uncover is just repeated poorly animated trees and shrubbery. Forcing players to speak to NPCs to uncover bases and checkpoints is just poor game design when you consider you speak to the same girl all across the map about 50-60 times just to figure out what you need to do. It is actually the same exact model of the npc. Has she been cloned? Does she just run around the map all day?

    Now let's talk about the story. The story makes no sense from the start. Dani "I'M LEAVING YOU CAN'T STOP ME" 5 seconds later "IM STAYING." Ok? Villain is almost entirely absent from the game. You see Castillo maybe once every two hours in meaningless cutscenes. You have pretty much zero interaction with him throughout the game. All other characters are poorly acted and scripted. There was a level of cringiness in the dialogue that had me question whether a group of high schoolers wrote the script. This game made me realize that with this writing team it probably was a good option for Ubisoft to go with a silent protagonist all these years. In fact, after this game, PLEASE GO BACK TO A SILENT PROTAGONIST, YOU CAN'T WRITE TO SAVE YOUR LIFE.

    Now finally let's talk about gameplay. The only way I can describe it is by screaming REGRESSION. Sure, the bullet sponges in new dawn weren't fun, but they were better than this disaster. Check points are braindead easy, kill 3 enemies and blow up a sign. Oh a tank shows up and you're in combat? Blow up the sign and it disappears. Outpost are somehow even easier than checkpoints. NPC pathing is so incredibly slow, they don't really stop to have conversations with each other, detection speed is ridiculously slow, and you often have about a football field of rooms between one enemy and the next. That last point goes hand and hand with the movement speed nerf. When crouched, you move about a cm a second. When running full speed you move about a foot a second. 90% of my game was probably me just running. Running to enemies, running to vehicles, running to supplies...not because I opted to run, but because there was no other option and movement speed was nerfed so hard , running took up the most time.

    You were looking forward to boss fights? Great, but they die in one hit and behave like every other NPC. I was so excited for a helicopter fight my first boss...then I fired one rocket and he died mid dialogue. Second boss, shot him in the head died mid dialogue. I'm all for realism in games, but in a game where Ubisoft avoided realism and believability throughout why the **** is the only realistic mechanic during boss fights -- a place where realism SHOULD go out the window to make them harder than other encounters...

    Despite what ragers thought about 5 and New Dawn there were some bright spots that may have been implemented to make 6 a great game. Instead Ubisoft took what everyone loved about Far Cry and threw it out the window for 6. What happened to towers? What happened to all weapons being viable, allowing you to pick and choose how you want to play? What happened to meaningful hunting? Where are the funny and unique notes in open buildings and why did you replace them with the same 3 copy paste notes? Where are the hard boss fights? Where is the villain? Where are the towers? Where are the side missions? Finally, where is the writing? This game is the perfect case study of regression in video games, and was one of the worst games I have played this year. I could not recommend this game to people who like Far Cry, nor would I recommend it to someone who has never played the franchise.    … Expand

    the game does not look as bad as people are saying. but it is way too damn easy. was hoping to play co-op on the hardest mode with a friend. all the territories need to be 5 levels higher. I'm already level 7 and I don't even do everything. and I still have a bunch of areas to clear out that are Level 3.

    I really liked all of the Far Cry games, but this one is really lame. It seems like just a lazy remake of a combination of the other games and nothing new whatsoever. It's not immersive, just your typical go on mission BS, and has no real plot that is worth anything. it's summed up best as LAZY. I was expecting so much more.

    Incredibly dumb AI, lip sync doesn't match the sound on the opening cutscene, the mods system is horrible, the plot and characters are boring and uninspiring. I liked Far Cry 5 a lot and this one is such a disappointment.

    everything finally turned into a monotonous humiliation of mindless dummies. not a single hint of originality and development of the series. ubisoft did not forget about gays, lesbians and independent feminists, did not forget about the in-game store, but finally forgot what video games are.

    I LOVE the series so much that I preordered the Ultimate edition. So this isn’t someone who hates this gameplay or doesn’t like Far Cry. It’s a weak copy and paste job. There are some improvements but no perks as you start off with almost every ability. This makes the treasure hunts far less rewarding and I found that most of them were boring anyway. The new workbench system is in myI LOVE the series so much that I preordered the Ultimate edition. So this isn’t someone who hates this gameplay or doesn’t like Far Cry. This makes the treasure hunts far less rewarding and I found that most of them were boring anyway. The new workbench system is in my opinion way more complicated than it needs to be and I honestly got bored and just stuck with the guns I needed. I emphasise NEEDED because certain enemies are weak to certain bullets and there are tanks and helicopters in this game that can survive multiple rocket launcher attacks. There was nothing more satisfying in previous games then pulling out a rocket launcher and annihilating a vehicle in one beautiful explosion. Now it’s a painful, nonsensical experience. The enemies also respawn pretty quickly in this game and it’s beyond frustrating

    This story is beyond weak and filled with hard left politics. The game tells you that the American dream isn’t for people of your colour and drops so much propaganda that you feel like you’re playing “CNN: The Game”. The game will also constantly remind you that women are strong and brave just in case you forget.

    I didn’t mind the addition of horses in the game but why can I call my car over but not a horse? And get this, so when you call the car over, it doesn’t always come to you. You have to run at it and then the guy who brings it over takes forever to get out of the car and then he stands in the way of the door so I always found myself getting in through the other side and just switching seats. This is just BASIC STUFF they have gotten so wrong. Like it wasn’t play tested or something.

    So as you can imagine, all the characters are insufferable, egotistical losers who make you do literally everything. EVERYTHING. There’s a whole mission where you’re basically a roadie and you have to set up the stage for this God awful band that’s going to play some “totally rockin”, “How do you do fellow kids?” rap music. After you do that, you’re also their entire security. So whilst hundreds of soldiers come down to shoot up the concert (and you wish you could as well but you unfortunately have to side with these arrogant posers) they’re up there singing and dancing like they’re making a difference whilst you murder everybody who tries to stop them.

    Are you ever shown a decent amount of respect? No. I genuinely hate games like this where your character has given these people everything and in the next scene, they treat you like dirt again. It’s like your girlfriend’s mate, who despite you buying drinks for all night, says to you “If you hurt her, I’ll kill you”. I would desperately like to interrupt her and say “Yeah? What’re you going to do, you fat lard?”
    You could destroy these people in seconds but your character just takes it so you end up rejoicing instead of being sad when certain characters die.

    The graphics are disgusting for PS5. They had no right to charge what they did for this game.

    Tl;dr:
    This is the worst Far Cry game I have ever played. It deserves the low rating I’m giving it because of the low effort they put in actually making the game. It’s recycled gameplay has been made worse. The characters are hateable, the story is weak and the ending is lame.    … Expand

Want to jumble and climb up a roof, unless there is a blue cloth you can’t even it at the same height or the same roof, has to be that spot. Reload your gun, you press the button then 20 seconds later the button pressed is registered. To pick up an item you must stand directly on top of that item and look down to pick it up. Not a single part of this game or it’s controls works correctly. The story is good but good luck getting through it when you can’t actually play the game… Expand

Graphically, this game goes from looking good from a mile away but ends up looking worse than Half Life 2 when close to literally anything. The only redeeming feature is Guapo, the starting 'Amigo' companion who is a crocodile wearing a shirt.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. If you liked Far cry games you arent for a treat. No skilltree what makes you make to going forward in the game. How ever you get to search for gloves, shoes, pants and hoodies. Each have useless features, most of them are for defend you from fire. Enemy NPCs can see through anythin and shoot you in the head even if far, far away from them.
    And theres the soon to legendarry helicopter. Everytime at somepoint in the game the enemy helicopter spawns out of no where when you are at the 1meters of completing any mission. Plus extra troops falling from the ski. I dont recommend this. Save your money to buy some toiletpaper which from you are get satisfaction than from this game    … Expand

    Not a PS5 title. Early PS4 at its best... Same engine, same physics, inferior to previous title graphics. Less content than in previous title. The only character customization is in its gear. Gear is tightly coupled with in-game store.
    Boring, lifeless and outdated.

    I created an account just for this game I feel that strongly about it.

    This is THE worst game In the Far Cry series. I thought New Dawn was bad but this is truly shocking. Ubisoft have to be one of the laziest devs out there.     This is THE worst game In the Far Cry series. I thought New Dawn was bad but this is truly shocking. Ubisoft have to be one of the laziest devs out there.     Primal was so much better than this, I loved that one. They dared to do something different with that.

First 1/3 into the game was great… then BORING. Such redundant missions over and over again with 0 plot development. I had to replay far cry 3 to get the taste out of my mouth.     And last the vehicle logic dont know what the horses of Yara eat but make them strong like tanks kinda dosent mach here, and talking about the tanks, the tanks are one of the most annoying vehicules in the game they dont have any strength in the roads a simple bush,rock or something in the way can make the tank stuck you cant crash with a vehicule because they dont let you pass. At least make the cars explote if we cant run over them if they crash against us.
    ¡UBISOFT if you want to make good games again listen to the players for once!
    Wanna fix the game at least a bit? Make an update where we can choose the how we want the experience for example: to choose if the enemies are weak to a certain type of bullet and more(like you guys did in ghost recon breakpoint)

I enjoyed far cry 6 for most of the time I played it, but there are some glaring flaws. 1st - There is no ability to recruit human fighters to help you or man your vehicle gun in singleplayer mode. They only included animals that follow you around. About 3/4 through the game there are 2 unlikable characters that are so annoying, it made me nearly quit the game, to make things worse they introduce woke politics into the story via trans rights and claiming American is a racist country. Unbelievable! There are also a number of glitches in the game, like when you shoot a person in a vehicle, then they dive out dead, not fall out lol!

    + some guns feel really good
    + Good size map
    + No drugged out moments in the story.
    + No forced captures like in fc5
    + Lots of detail / gun modding.
    + Very nice water effects.

    - made unlikable characters
    - wasted villain
    - planes and choppers are practically worthless in combat.
    - story in uneven in places
    - Can't recruit human AI

    The game is supposedly the biggest Far Cry open world, I'm not convinced it is, but if it really is it doesn't matter anyway - they've built a capital city and it is 100% lifeless, there are no civilians, no animals, it's just an empty mission bar a handful of random enemy spawns. Capital cities were never this quiet even during covid lockdowns.

    It's just a dull empty world, with no character progression, and even story characters are particularly hard to care about; when an early key character dies, the rebel leader's response is "He checked in" despite him supposedly being a close friend; no grief, no care, no further words about his death, it just didn't matter.

    It's disappointing that much of what was developed in early Far Cry games just hasn't been used; driver AI is stupid, it swerves off the road if you so much as look at it from half a mile away, the progression system that was built and refined over past games is gone. Enemy AI is worse than ever, and it doesn't even look like an XBox Series X game, just a typical Xbox One game. The world is dull and lifeless, the unlocks via hunting and skinning animals system is also gone. There's just nothing other than a dull, empty, hollow, pointless world.    … Expand

    There is only co-op multiplayer. This game doesn't even have the map editor or Arcade mode. The developers were too cheap and lazy to implement those modes in this game. Those modes gave Far Cry 5 tons of replay value. And the greedy developers had the audacity to charge $60 for less content. I only recommend this game until it is $5.    … Expand

    Never in my life as a videogamer I gravitated towards the villain as I did in FarCry6: Anton Castillo doesn't seem better nor worse than his antagonists in any aspect, but at least he's not an hypocrite, unlike the "La Libertad" clowns that I have the misfortune of dealing with.
    In every mission where I massacred soldiers, civilians and animals I deep down hoped to be crashed by Castillo's forces, being captured and hanged in the capital main square as I deserved.
    My bad for not doing my research before buying this piece of garbage (yes, in 2022 you need to do research before buying a damn videogame), I have much rather spent these money on cyanide flavoured popsicles.

    The game has a bug insurgency icons stop appearing, this problem has been going on from day 1, it's been a year and they still haven't fixed it. I never should've bought a Ubisoft game.

    Playing this game is just as equally as bad as watching a rabbit make a dookie and a cat came along and ate it and slowly digested but now a dog came and ate the cats dookie , the dog past a stool only for a human to eat the dogs turd , the human is now sick and has bad constant diarrhea that stink horribly .. that sums up this game worthless and will give you diarrhea of the brain ..

    Same as far cry 5, which means same as last 10 far cry games. This one is especially buggy, worse than Cyberpunk 2077. Incredibly dumb AI, even worse than 2010 standards.

    The worst far cry game i have ever seen yet full of bugs and mistakes almost unplayable with co-op and the driving is one of the most **** things in this game, don't waste your money on this garbage game.

    Don't buy this on ubisoft connect.
    Cant play the game i payed for as ubisoft connect is a horrendous **** launcher. Eventhough the game is probably fun if you can play it, It is part of how i experience a game launch. Not being able to play or with a unreliable launcher adds to how you experience playing a game. Namely frustration and time wasted lmao.

The villain by the way is incredibly overhyped. The gun play somehow feels worse than far cry 5. There is no recoil, the AI is just dumb, the weapons are ridiculous and the addition of bullet specialisation is pointless. This game also suffers from Valhalla syndrome. It's about 50 hours longer than what it should be, with shallow side quests, boring side characters and it doesn't even try to build upon the foundation of the radio towers that everybody loved. It's honestly a huge disappointment and it just proves that Ubisoft just doesn't care anymore, and they are just milking trends at this point, as the game feels more like a Wolfenstein: The New Blood Peru Ubisoft edition than Far cry. If you wanna see it for yourself, please pirate the game and don't give them money. The project managers at Ubisoft should all be fired at this point and so should many of the untalented people they have hired and promoted instead of people that deserved it. Just avoid the company at all cost and maybe we will see some change in a year or two. It just blows my mind how the worse game ever made ( Valhalla) is this company's best seller of all time. Just don't buy anything from them again till you see something different, at the direction people actually want.… Expand

    Every year the company has more experience making this series, yet it seems to get worse. This one is no exception. To add to this they went full on woke. I guess I either need to stop buying Ubisoft games, or make read reviews before I purchase. Enough companies making good games, so will probably do the former.

    I rarely write reviews an in particular 0 reviews. I don’t want to lack of respect the several people who worked behind this game, but I really feel scammed, especially for a 70€ game.
    - game is same as FC3 FC4 FC5. Barely no new mechanics. Missions are repetitive and boring. - story is the same as always (crazy bad guy / you join the resistance from nowhere / solve the problem)

    Ubisoft's signature franchises continue to deliver on what the fans have come to expect and Far Cry 6 is no exception. A sprawling sandbox with tons to do and perfect escapism for a few hours… a few tens of hours. Fans of the series or Ubisoft's style, in general, will want to pick this one up, those who haven't ever clicked with them will find nothing new here to change their mind, with only a few changes that just do not push the boat out or move away from the formulaic. Most exciting though, is the upcoming DLC: a season pass that promises to give players a whole different experience. Stepping into the shoes of the villains of the previous games, starting with Vaas.     The new episode of the Far Cry series really tries a lot to find new ways how to enjoy the game, and at the same time it relies on the unattainable depth that the charismatic Giancarlo Esposito was supposed to give to the game. Instead, players again receive a disparate mishmash that is increasingly moving away from both the original Far Cry idea and the Just Cause sandbox.

    If I’m being honest, my frustrations with the marketing’s focus on the worst caricatures of Latinx people made me brace myself for a racist triple-A experience full of gross clichés and awkward attempts to be apolitical. Instead, I was surprised to find that more thought than I expected was put into its depiction of Latinx people. Although it isn’t perfect — those cringeworthy lines! The grind of finding gear! — it’s better than what I initially expected, and that counts for something.
