One of the worst games i've ever played. Combat feels awful, the puzzles are way too easy (even for kids) and the game is extremely stretched. The style looks really good tho, but honestly please dont waste your money on this and go grab good game instead.

I really disliked the game. The more I played, the more cheated I felt.
There is a blatant lack of originality. Gameplay is poor, level design is poor, music sucks, animations are bad, enemies feel so generic. I do not understand what the devs wanted to achieve with this game besides tyring to make some cash. The souls mechanic feels forced and is poorly implemented. Dying is a pain and

I do not understand what the devs wanted to achieve with this game besides tyring to make some cash. The souls mechanic feels forced and is poorly implemented. Dying is a pain and just makes you lose time. I would like the devs to also explain why they chose to make a top down game. I am pretty much convinced they opted for a top down game because it felt original to them.
Devs...the reason there are no top down games with this kind of mechanics is simple: It sucks big time. Perspective is so bad, hard to tell how far you really are from the enemies.
Also, why did you put gauntlets/battle arenas every 5 minutes? It feels so cheap. It feels like you had no idea what to do. Gauntlets are a pain and they last way too long! Dying means losing another 5-10 minutes of your life. I want the few hours I have spent on this game back! Keep the money but give me back the few hours it took to complete this utter piece of crap!
Someone call the police! These devs should be in jail for creating such a game. You are wasting people's lives. do not play this game, you will only lose precious time. Where is the fun? Fun is dead...that should be the title of the game

Another soulslike wannabe that tries to be hard by being just unfair, with childish PS1 graphics and repetitive soundtrack. The isometric top down view deeply damages the gameplay too, making it non natural and difficult to calculate moves. The dodging mechanics are also a nonsense. It's difficult to save something good about the game, even having in account that it's an indie, but to sayAnother soulslike wannabe that tries to be hard by being just unfair, with childish PS1 graphics and repetitive soundtrack. The gameplay is unconsistent and dull, but luckily the duration is not too long either. Expand

A poignant, tender tale about death. Dashes of comedy, a whimsical fantasy world, and memorable boss fights make this an indie game of the year contender. [Issue#9, p.91]

Death's Door is everything you hope to get out of an indie game. An addictive challenge, an intriguing little tale and enough content to keep you going back. Unhindered by budgetary restrictions, Death's Door delivers on all fronts. The gameplay feedback from combat is implemented so well that you forget just how simple it is. Better still, it's made all the more excellent by the DualSense controller. Fans of Action RPG's will not want to miss this indie treasure on PS5.

Tight controls, clever level design, and rewarding combat make Death's Door a joy to play. It's a ten-hour adventure that never outstays its welcome, and its overall quality is clear. A polished, quirky, and often challenging title that charms from start to finish.
