Fans of Cities Skylines can bring a new perspective to their city building with Cities VR. It manages to make the experience more personal and engaging. It won’t ruin Cities Skylines for you, but might make you appreciate it differently.

A solid improvement over the Meta Quest 2 version, Cities: VR - Enhanced Edition brings with it improved visuals, rebuilt UI and controls, and a far larger build surface. Virtual city building may sound like watching paint dry on paper, it may be precisely the relaxing activity you need after a long day in the real world.

Cities: VR - Enhanced Edition is an excellent management game with complex and stratified gameplay. Unfortunately, virtual reality is not well suited to the genre, and the absence of a campaign mortifies the progression of the experience.

It’s nice to be able to investigate at street level, but there’s not much there. Buildings are empty, some textures are PS1 quality, and family names are repeated almost as often as advertising boards. A bit more love on the writing side of things would have made a huge difference as there’s lots of opportunity for humour. This, and more clarity on exactly what holds population growth back, could have made a good game great. [Issue#26, p.87]

This wasn't simply ported from Cites Skylines. They re-created the experience, adjusting graphics and re-working UI. Controls are great, better than the original version in my opinion. Building the city in VR feels natural and watching your creations is mind-blowing!

Unfortunately the game is missing any of the paid DLCs. I hope it sells well enough, so we get Green Cities or Industries DLC. That's the only reason it's not an 10/10 experience for me.

Cities VR "enhanced edition" is far better than the Quest 2 version. With the power of the PS5, the developers were able to make many improvements. The game is even easier to handle than on PC: the controls have been completely redesigned for VR. The game is much more enjoyable to play.
There are some small details missing, like the DLC that exists on PC. I guess that will come later.
    It's a great surprise.
