    Okay, its a little bit out of your comfort zone, and the fact youll be staying in an unfamiliar country for two months can be nerve-racking, but you couldnt pass up such a learning opportunity! You get to excavate at an authentic prehistoric site, which has uncovered Neanderthal remains in the past.

    Maybe youll dig up some bones, or even unearth tools that were manufactured by early humans. And of course, you might forge friendships and find romance during your stay

    C14 isn’t the greatest visual novel I’ve ever played, but it’s not the worst by a long shot, and given the developer’s track record I’ll count that as a positive.

    C14 is a otome dating sim where you play as third-year anthropology student Melissa Flores who travels from her home state of California to take part in a summer archaeological internship in Belgium. At the start of the game you can have a couple of little options to decide on - Text style and mini games.

    You can play this Visual Novel game with mini games or without. I played with as it breaks up the reading and makes it more like a game for me but maybe I shouldn't have as I discovered when playing this game, I am no good what so ever with PixCross puzzles. You will have these when you are excavating at a prehistoric site. If you are good at them, it will be a breeze for you.

    The game has wonderful visual art and a nice background soundtrack. Like many of Winter Wolves visual novel games, the story line is great and keeps you involved throughout the game play. You can set you weekly agenda and so on.

    There are different characters to interact with and maybe develop a relationship? The choice is up to you. If you are into visual novel games then you can thank Ratalaika games once again for bringing a wonderful and lengthy game over to the console scene.
