    I waited a long time to rate this game to see how things developed. The fact that the first DLC won't release until summertime is ridiculous. Of course, this isn't the only issue I have with the game, its just the final straw. I regret spending $100 on this game.     I’ve enjoyed every Battlefield I’ve played up to this point, but this doesn’t even come close to those games in any way. It’s so obvious that everyone that made those games great have left the studio, and the result is a deeply mediocre game that barely feels like Battlefield at all. Yes, it has a lot of players, big maps and vehicles, but where’s the    An absolute disgrace to the series.

    I’ve enjoyed every Battlefield I’ve played up to this point, but this doesn’t even come close to those games in any way. It’s so obvious that everyone that made those games great have left the studio, and the result is a deeply mediocre game that barely feels like Battlefield at all. Yes, it has a lot of players, big maps and vehicles, but where’s the rest of it? Where’s the amazingly effortless and rewarding squad and team play of previous entries? Where’s the authenticity and immersion? This series is supposed to be about being a regular soldier, but now we’re playing as these ridiculous hero characters constantly spouting stupid one-liners and wing-suiting around. Battlefield was never exactly realistic, but it always tried to be authentic. BFV might have had some lame cosmetics, but everything else has such a raw intensity to it. This feels completely airless with barely any war feel to it at all. There aren’t even identifiable factions, because selling cosmetics is the only thing that matters now, apparently.

    It’s not even engaging in its own merits as the gunplay is incredibly inaccurate, unskillful and unbalanced. Maps play terribly and don’t even look good most of the time. The player count combined with the wide open, badly designed maps and weird abilities makes the game either chaotic to the point of incoherence or just boring as you trek through vast, empty landscapes. There’s some amount of fun to be had in the chaos, but chaos does not make a good game on its own. The whole thing just seems really sloppily designed, regardless of any series standards. On its own it would be below average. As a Battlefield game it’s laughable.

    Portal is ok, but it can’t save this game alone. Smaller, **** versions of games I love and custom modes won’t make me accept this absolute travesty of a sequel. It mostly serves to show how far the series has fallen.

    I could go on and on about this game’s shortcomings and many have. My main takeaway is that while many previous Battlefield games may have been buggy or lacking in content at launch, this the first one where I don’t see any potential in it. Everything about this game, from its smallest aspects to its grandest ideas are mediocre at best, and no amount of patching is gonna fix that.    … Expand

    A decent game, not quite worthy of the battlefield title. A lot of downgrades since battlefield 5. Would be nice to have a campaign, even a short one. Would like to be able to customize the specialist the specialists face and race and gender like in BFV. I really enjoyed being able to make my own characters in BFV. Not only can you not change the specialists face, but you also cannotA decent game, not quite worthy of the battlefield title. A lot of downgrades since battlefield 5. Would be nice to have a campaign, even a short one. Would like to be able to customize the specialist the specialists face and race and gender like in BFV. I really enjoyed being able to make my own characters in BFV. Not only can you not change the specialists face, but you also cannot change their clothes except for a few specialist specific options. Would like to see more streamlined breakthrough maps, maybe an option for smaller 64 player battles. Seemed like the maps in BFV created a more defined “frontline” for break through as you push through objectives. I hope they bring back more defined class systems and combat roles with a set of weapon options specific to each class. I feel like the class system encouraged people to actually fulfill combat roles and play more as a team. Medics actually revived people. The ui is awkward a lot of the times. Switching classes between deaths is strangely time consuming when you used to be able to switch classes really quickly in 5. I would like to be able to see the score board at the end of round and squad stats. You can no longer quick throw grenades with left bumber? If you customize the buttons and select quick throw, you still have to ‘select’ your grenades, and then instead of throwing one, you will automatically toss both grenades because you stay selected to your grenades? Who’s idea was that? Hoping that gets fixed. A lot of little details are gone like seeing your soldier get muddy and bloody or wet depending on the environment. I used to think that was cool in 5. Anyway, decent game, but lots of downgrades from the last installment. Would give 3 stars but it’s extremely glitchy and I often have to drop out of broken matches… Expand

It's criminal to release a video game in such a poor state and charge people upwards of £70 for it, how these huge companies are getting away with this baffles me. The game feels soulless.The things we know and love about Battlefield are gone, immersion, amazing sound design, teamplay, destruction etc are nowhere to be found here. The talented developers that gave us the old Battlefield have clearly moved on elsewhere and the franchise is now in the hands of the suits.

    Battlefield was my favourite game but sadly this will be my last and I think this will be the same story for many fans. I will be getting a refund.

    If you are looking for an immersive, tactical fps I highly recommend Hell Let Loose. Support companies like T17/Black Matter who still make games with passion. Vote with your wallet and move away from these big AAA studiis who will rush a product out to get your money as fast as possible.    … Expand

This game has been a hassle for me to try and enjoy in a self-composing manner, or even with friends within a squad. The Conquest/Breakthrough modes are running in such a poor state, it nearly feels irremediable. I’ve been desynched a lot in my matches, I get downed and I can’t be revived, nor I can redeploy, unless I quit the current match, or if I’m defender in the mode breakthrough, I have to wait till current sector my team of defenders are protecting gets overtaken by the attackers, then I can be forced spawned. A lot times I’ve spawned inside a vehicle, and my character clipped through the ground and endlessly fell through some geometric void that has no set ground for me to traverse in a gameplay manner, it’s nothing but glitches. Had to disable cross play on my PS5 due to the consistent “persistent” game error message I kept receiving, which prevented me from playing in any matches. Game is not officially released, but even before that, Battlefield 2042 is such a inconsistent and meddling piece of game, and for a game that requires you to be online at all times, that is such a dismaying experience.… Expand

Hit Registration is all over the place every other gun fight seems inconsistent, One moment You are slaying out and then the next you can’t hit nothing to save your life. PP-29 and DMRs are busted, can’t revive certain players at times. Also man who the hell didn’t put in the Feature to let the a down player know that there is a medic nearby and not to end himself so he can be picked up. Seems like dice was off the rocker with this one. No voice chat so you can’t accurately direct your team in crunch moments for example, team gets comfortable with the lead and you have to stop taking away from whatever roll you play to type C1 C2 D1 D2 B1 hell E1 and F1 is been taken by the enemy by time you write all that you get met with the “shut up kid” you trash” “ooooooof get slapped with deez ****” “ttv w.e the hell” also the 3 rating is being Generous because I know they are going to further update the game but at the moment this is not it chief. Barely any guns, cap on the anti cheat, graphics looking dookie water, and the Specialists are cringe with their end game one-liners. Whoever views this and hates on me come on I’m trying to you save from not wasting money and making my mistake, don’t be sus and defend a brand that only cares about them green backs. This game is complete and utter dog **** and is a soulless, blatant cash grab. This is not battlefield. This is a mix of multiple shooters into one. From nonsensical, and often broken, UI, unpolished and under-developed mechanics, low effort/tacked-on meta game, horrifying net code, gunplay that's so wrong and unnatural that you'll feel violated and in need of a shower afterwards, to almost comically cliché bugs you WILL encounter early and often (many game breaking), it's baffling how anyone looked at this mess and thought releasing it was a good idea. This game didn't only need another couple months of development, it probably needed a year.

    This is all really disappointing, because there is a decent game in there somewhere and when you're not breaking things due to bugs and bad mechanics, it can be even fun sometimes. Maybe they'll finally make it playable in six month and dozens of patches later, after most of the player base has left, only leaving the diehards stomping pubs and ensuring anyone less than a week of playtime will promptly uninstall.    … Expand

    Buy it if you like to be teabagged by EA and Dice, who released a game, with 20 guns and 6 vehicles, compared to BF3 with 80+ guns and a whole hangar of vehicles.     It seems to me that the game is unfinished, or, at least not suitable for release yet. Next couple of patches should fix some issues like hit marks, weapon spray, some weapons and vehicles overpowered, the fact that only SMGs seem like they are working, slushy feeling, etc.
    I do believe that my current score, would become maybe a 6 or 7 once this and other issues are solved.

Everyone uses a DMR or Sniper. Vehicles are broken as **** tank multiple rockets with ease, and players can do nothing but get run over by them and mowed down with ease.     ive playes battlefield 2047 for a few hours. and yes this kinda hurts but yea. this is a very bad game. first thing is that is dosent feel like a battlefield game anymore but it feel like call of duty and rainbow six siege on a big empty map with 128 people. u run over the hole map just to get killed.

    bad things to talk about. 1- the xp system in this game aint good anymore and not    ive playes battlefield 2047 for a few hours. and yes this kinda hurts but yea. this is a very bad game. first thing is that is dosent feel like a battlefield game anymore but it feel like call of duty and rainbow six siege on a big empty map with 128 people. u run over the hole map just to get killed.

    3- wierd bugs in the car like often if u hold the steering wheel ur hands a floating in the air lol.

    6- someone says that theres a mistake in the game about the sniper bullet do not follow where u
    aim. but rather goes more to the left or right side of the scope.
    7- i dont like the menu style and how things have been setted up.
    8- it seems like they have forgotten the hill battlefield was but rather code up and design this wierd
    and sad shooting game.

    1- the vibration in the ps5 controller is cool. u can feel it good when u walk and shoot.
    2 the tornado i would say is a cool design.
    3- the graphics is kinda good i guess but i still feel like battlefield 1 and 5 have better effects idk why.

    Unable to connect to servers. When you do get in, it's only one mode that offers progression. Every round is littered with choppers with infinite ammo and flares. With cross play off you hardly find a match, so being forced to play against PC players who shoots explosive rounds out a pistol.

    Some of the mechanics of the games are broken. Glitches and unreliable servers completely mess up the game. Game modes are really fun and weapon system, i wish they were more options but having the option to switch it up whenever you like is a big plus for me.

    Battlefiled 2042 requires you to save your loadouts - Loadouts include all you gun and vehicles customisations - you can spend a decent amount of time customising each weapon and vehicles.
    Loadouts delete for some unknown reason - so you loose all your customisations - Patch 3 should fix this issue but is broken currently ( patch 3 did not fix this issue) . So wait for a fix to come in 2022

    No scoreboard - Minimal destruction -

    The Maps do look colourful but lack a lot of detail compared to past games in the series There is no Single Player - but still priced at a premium price with less Multiplayer Maps and game modes - Less guns - The price of this game should be 1/3 of its current asking price

It's time to go back to our PC roots and play games like ArmA and Squad and hope the old DiCE dev games like Arc Raiders is good.

Lack of guns, lack of customisation, lack of soul. The maps are super open and aimed at vehicles. They are so empty and clean and weird. The game is just so bad. Do not get it.

    This game is barely playable. Extremely lacking in content. Bare open maps with no flow. Game was clearly not ready. Ea did no testing and released a half baked game. Wish i could get a refund.

    Una vergüenza, 0 apoyo al juego durante más de 6 meses de su lanzamiento, siendo el Battlefield menos Battlefield de la jodida historia. Millones de Bugs y solo una actualización relevante un triste marcador de puntuación. Que debería de a ver estado desde el día1. 24 armas para un shotter del año 2021/2022 es una auténtica miseria. Ojalá que DICE QUIEBRE.

    Battlefield 2042 se résume assez facilement. Ce n'est même pas le fait qu'il soit mauvais. C'est encore plus insidieux que ça.
    Je n'ai tout simplement jamais réussi à lancer le jeu en multi. Peu importe le mode. Et quand j'ai eu l'illusion de pouvoir accéder à un serveur, mon jeu à crashé et a fait redémarrer ma Série X.

Как итог я настоятельно рекомендую вам пропустить эту часть бф по причинам указанных выше и тех о которых я не знаю или предпочел умолчать. Играйте в качественные игры!… Expand

    Fun game idea but extremely rough, your lucky if you find a match that's not already half over and if you do manage to get into one your most likely thrown on the losing side, then there's the option to disable cross platform which is pointless because you will never find a match and even with thousands of complaints the game developers once again are deciding to hide rather then fix their game

    Battelfield 3 (good), Battlefield 4 (great), Battelfield 1 (great), Battlefield V (awesome), Battlefield 2042 (Scam). How can you **** so badly after so many great games? I never write game reviews, but I went out of my way this time. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this piece of **** for the first time. You should totally refund people if you plan to survive this **** show of a game.

    While the repetition and lack of content cooled my enthusiasm a bit, I am excited to see where DICE can take Battlefield 2042 from here — if current industry trends hold, I’m confident this will be a strong addition to my already-full shooter rotation after a few months of additions and updates.
