Extremely repetitive even during the main story. Minor bugs and glitches. No major innovation in the Assassins Creed series.

Generally disappointing in comparison to Origins and Odessey.

The main draw of this sequel should have been river raiding, but the content is poorly fleshed out, offers to few good rewards, and isn't repeatable as a part of the main story. Stealth is pretty much dead in this iteration. I brute-forces pretty much every encounter because the mechanics for good stealth simply aren't in

The main story is okay but ends on an Assasin's Creed 3 level of bad/poorly written ending.

Overall, the game simply is just not as fun as it predecessors and is a step backwards for the series.

Very fun game, if you have plenty of time and want to play something new. Not every mission hits the mark, but i'm not expecting that from game this large.

Interesting game. Cities feel full of life and danger. Large landscapes give you feeling of absolute freedom. Combat is more brutal than ever. Some missions are fun, some are boring, but it's like that with every game ever. Overall impressions are very positive, can't wait for DLC's.

Until Resident Evil Village comes out, it's literally only 2020 game that is still worth playing. Doom

Until Resident Evil Village comes out, it's literally only 2020 game that is still worth playing. Doom Eternal got old very fast and i'm not gonna play Tony Hawk 1+2 Remake 24/7. Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the biggest fails of all time. Resident Evil 3 Remake was too short and boring. Last of Us 2 is one of the worst games ever made. Watch Dogs Legion is pathetic. Final Fantasy VII Remake has no reason to play again, even tho good game. Ghost of Tsushima has one of the worst camera angles in any video game ever, so i just can't play it, but it doesn't seem very interesting anyway. Marvel's Avengers is a joke. Mafia 1 Remake had good story, but has one of the emptiest open-worlds ever, there's absolutely nothing to do or explore.

So what's left? Literally only one game - Assassin's Creed Valhalla! It's not best game ever / not best AC game, but at least it's fun enough and DLC's almost look more interesting than main game, so i'm hyped. There's obviously always option to play older games (i do that literally all the time), but this review is for people who want something new.

No idea how this gets rated so high. For example, Valhalla is NO WHERE near the quality of Ghost of Tsushima. Janky animations. Poor and super outdated combat. And my god the writing can be so awful.

Think this has to be my last AC game. Ubisoft just makes cookie cutter games now in this series with nothing exceptional while asking the player to commit so much time, it's just not worth it.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla feels like the climax of all the shortcomings Ubisoft games have seen over the years. I seriously wonder if Ubisoft is years behind in the feedback they get on their games.

Positive points such as the beautiful graphics on the PS5 or the art design unfortunately do not go up against my negative experiences. A world that even feels bigger than it’s predecessors

Positive points such as the beautiful graphics on the PS5 or the art design unfortunately do not go up against my negative experiences.

A world that even feels bigger than it’s predecessors bloated with lots of filler content (despite the attempt to replace icons for colored dots), an enviroment (of England) that feels bland except for a number of cities, akward cutscenes because the characters are looking like dolls and pause way too long between sentences, a story that just doesn't seem to get going before the 30 hour mark and a ridiculous skill tree that is so detailed that you don’t feel your progression in game. As much as I wanted to meet with my excitement, this game is too far removed from the Assassin's Creed experience that I enjoy which resulted in a game that felt like one big chore.

    Pros:
    - Graphics
    - Art Design
    - Atmosphere of the cities

    Cons:
    - Bugs
    - Worst audio in a game I have ever experienced
    - Again a map that is too large bloated with filler content
    - Characters in cutscenes
    - Main character(s)
    - Story and length of the game(story)
    - Bland environments of England
    - Compared to the previous parts, the function of the raven has become totally meaningless.
    - Huge and way too detailed skill tree
    - Short gameplay loop

    Very good game
    Addictive storyline
    A beautiful world
    Cool exploration
Great atmosphere of Vikings and Norse mythology
It's a bit long, but it's not a disadvantage for me

From Europe's best and most creative studio "Ubisoft", comes amazing Assassin's Creed game that truly shows history of Europe, specially Norway and England! Amazing game!

Feminist trolls and stupid people who think that religion is real are trying to lower this games user score, but in the end it doesn't even matter. Most actual gamers like this game and that's all that matters. Vikings

As a longtime fan of Assasins' Creed and the RPG genre, I have really enjoyed these latest releases in the series. Valhalla once again gets it right with vast gameplay, incredible graphics and a good story, even if it doesn't have the shine of AC 2, for example. Curious to see what you expect from this incredible series in the new generation of consoles!

It is hard not to see this game as a money grabbing tool that Ubisoft have created with the Helix store, limiting the amount of content (armour sets, weapons) in the base game then adding all other content behind pay walls is disgusting charging £10 - £15 per armour pack for a 'singleplayer' game, I wrote a post on reddit and made a petition regarding this if you want to know more follow the links below I go little further imln depth regarding the matter. Xbox series S: this game crashes every 1 to 2 hours. Its ok if your on the main missions because of auto save but of you go on a raid then be careful. I've stopped raiding because I just always loose my progress or I have to stop two raids in. This game is not ready for prod.

The game is full of bugs, one in particular is very serious and does not allow you to proceed in the game. Basically it's like throwing money and 90 hours of gameplay.

A game is so repetitive, so devoid of any genuine ideas. A broken lighting system, innumerable bugs, and gross historical inaccuracies top off a thoroughly flawed experience. Do not be fooled by the slick marketing for this game.

There's fun to be had in this game, but ultimately it contains a game-breaking bug many hours in that can't be skipped and hasn't been patched 4 months after release. The bug is cross-platform, and thousands of users are affected. Therefore I can't recommend this game on any level.

As a long standing fan of the series this may have overtaken Black Flag as my favourite. It is very long with a huge, rich map but doesn't feel as bloated as the last couple in the series (especially Odyssey). All in all a great experience.

AC Valhalla could have been a great game, but it's full of bugs. Also, I started it on ps4 and now that I purchased a ps5 I have to start from the beginning because it doesn't give me the trophies I've already earned on ps4. Nioh and nioh 2 remastered allows the player to transfer savegames and trophies, why this one doesn't? I really love Assassins Creed. I mean realllllly love it. I want to state that first so that this isn't construed as somebody just peeved at Ubisoft or the series as a whole. I find AC2 to be one of the best games of all time, and I loved AC3 even though it was very poorly received. I even really liked Origins and Odyssey (though the latter was a bit long in the tooth by my completion).I really love Assassins Creed. I mean realllllly love it. That is why this hurts me to say it. But this game just isn't fun.One of the first offputting things is when the only thing I heard about the game was that it was ludicrously long. Now usually thats a sometimes good/sometimes bad thing. Previous to starting this game I started and completely platinumed Ghost of Tsushima (a fair length game). One of my all time favorite RPGs is FF XIII so I am not averse to longer games. However, this was just absurdly long. And while it seems weird to complain about length, it just wasn't interesting in those hours. The combat seems fairly similar to the past two entries, the story is very dry and bland, and the characters as a whole aren't very interesting.

It doesn't help that I felt like Eivor (Main Character) was a bystander in this game. I felt like everything was happening around him/her but not that he was really doing anything all that interesting.

On top of all this, the amount of random crap you would have to pick up or do to 100% this game is just stupid and tedious. There are things like a section in Jotunheim that I literally looked at a guide and it was still going to take forever to just get things to work/appear.

I ended up, 54 hours in, quitting the game. I had made it to the last few quests and just didnt have the power level to complete the game. I could have turned the difficulty down but it was just a grind by this point and I was not going to go and grind to get more levels.

Overall it is a 5/10 for me. It is a gorgeous game, but the story, length, quests, and overall feel just arent good.

Hate the cairns, I hate most of the collectibles they introduced. Actually being stealthy seemed like an afterthought in this game. Still crashes relatively frequently for a next gen console. Basically a lot of the game play was annoying and too grindy. Feels like a second job trying to complete this game.

I can’t count how many times it pissed me off due to gameplay mechanics or doing

Just really disappointed compared to some of the other AC games. Would not recommend or spend 80$ on this game. If I could time travel and get the hours I spent playing it back, I would.

Ubisoft has always made quality games, they are obviously no Rockstar Games, but neither are other companies and that's a fact. I remember how people whined about Ubisoft games and acted like "Cybermiracle 2077" will be flawless and amazing and we all know how this turned out. Now all CDproject fanboys are quiet. Good.

Was really looking forward to this one after Odyssey but sadly it is nowhere near as fun and ends up just being a chore. The combat is very repetitive, the side missions (mysteries) are mind numbingly dull and even the story fails to entertain. Building up your settlement was a great idea but is sadly undercooked. The A.I. is extremely dumb and a downgrade from the previous title.

There are two competing experiences here: that as as Assassin, and that as a Viking, that either on its own feels like it might have been a triumph and better than this good but not great Assass-king hybrid we have.

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla effortlessly plants its banner as the best open world RPG available for the new consoles. This Viking epic flexes its gore-soaked, tattooed muscles when it comes to world-building, and medieval England wows with its enchanting untamed vistas. It’s also portioned out at a steady pace and, if not for the repetitive, limited combat, Valhalla could have ranked even higher among our favourite games in the series.

Is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla the best entry in the series yet? Some would be tempted to say so. While the map size might overwhelm some players, it remains an easy game to mainline with the right navigation mode turned on. In fact, the quick load times help to make this an even easier task than in previous generations. This is an iteration of Assassin’s Creed that has a bit of everything from the previous games, as refined as we have seen to date.
