Let me start by saying that I am 100% surprised by Fromsoftware.
as someone who played every game from this company (other than Armored Core) this game is just a waste of time. it's one of those games you could find in the sale budget bin in stores long ago. The game is totally forgettable, nothing special stands out. I can sum up this game in just a few words: Waste of time.

Really hope that it's not the start of Fromsoftware's decline in quality.
will judge it more when their next game comes out.

Best mech game you will ever play. gameplay is amazing But the game is disapointing at some levels. Story and environnmental storytelling are far from other titles by Fromsoftware. Graphics are not next-gen at all. PvP has the huge potential but feels very basic. the game feels a bit rushed and do not deserve 70$

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I'm a Armored core fan since AC 2,3,4 so I'm quite aware of the difficulty involved with the series. I was beating these games as a 12 year old meaning there was challenge to be had but far from crushing difficulty. I do feel as though from soft lied but also told the truth. They catered to AC fans to lure them in by saying "this is not a soulsborne game." This is true. The check points are before hard spots. There are re supplies for repair and ammo all of which are absent from typical popular from soft games. Now the part where they lied. This is not the armored core you remember. It's extremely difficult like any other from soft game lately. The semi spoiler ill say is that a boss named balteus is becoming popular because of the sheer brick wall difficulty he presents. I avoided dark souls and elden ring after knowing how difficult those games were and grinding a single opponent for days isn't for me. And it's certainly not the armored core way. The fights up until balteus even give you the greatest armored core experience to date with mech customization and the ability to destroy mass amounts of MTs while being grinder down by fire to possibly be destroyed by a more powerful enemy at the end. This is the perfect formula. Fighting an opponent that fires weapons in which you can't dodge but only mitigate the damage taken attempt after attempt after attempt isn't what I envisioned after they said this isn't a soulsborne game. They are right....its not soulsborne but that doesn't make it any more accessible to your more typical game player that doesn't want to grind skill checks that require intense dedication. I bought the game in hopes of reviving my nostalgic love and its just another painful crawl that happens to not involve medieval swords and echoes/souls to upgrade. It's just another format for their high difficulty philosophy. This game could literally be so perfect if it just didn't take so much mind melting effort to clear balteus. If you love extreme difficulty like previous games, then yes...this game is for you, not the armored core fans of the past like they claimed. I swear it feels like I lost my dog (AC3) and I found a lost dog that looks just like mine but isn't and is mean and aggressive (AC6) Expand

Story? generic/forgettable, UI? straight out of Ace Combat and kinda outdated, voice acting? great, graphics? never had a problem with graphics but let's just say AC6's graphics don't look next gen at all, gameplay? well, normal missions are incredibly easy yet satisfying but then you get these disastrous boss battles with unprecedented levels of bullet sponge that make you SEETHE and want to smash your keyboard on your own face, one of the selling points of the game is customizing your own mecha to fight stuff however you want but some bosses are literally impossible to defeat without reloading 200 times or the "right" META build, the camera angles are absurdly bad, you will spend 60% of the battle moving your camera around searching for the bosses because you can't see a thing with this combination of poor FOV, flashy eye candy and insane boss movement speed (even the bigger ones, somehow!), the music? this year we had games like TOTK, FF16, BG3, all these games have incredible soundtracks, but AC6 failed hard at it, if you guys copied Ace Combat's Ui then why not just copy Ace Combat's music style as well? they're pretty good at it!
Overall: it's a game that will only be remembered by hardcore Armored Core/mecha fans.

The game overall is at least a solid 8, possibly a 9, but people are review bombing this game for no reason (as always) and that's kind of unfortunate because it's selling very slow as it is something that the souls community has never seen, that's why of the 10/10: people are acting like kids.
I hope people realize how big Fromsoftware's balls are to bring back their original series after the ridiculous success of souls games and, on top af all, Elden Ring. This is something that not a single studio nowadays would do, will never do in the future, and has never done before, and it's admirable.
Oh, yeah, the game is difficult, really difficult and you need to understand its mechanics before everything else, it's not 'just' learning boss' patterns, it's something more, simply because of the three-dimensional movement that you are not used to and the capability of shooting with 4 weapons at once.
So yeah just give it a shot, it's From Software and they never miss.

FromSoft 100% lied through their teeth when they said they weren't making another Souls game, make no mistake this is an Armored Core game right up until the moment you enter a boss battle, then it becomes Armored Souls.

FromSoft just couldn't resist, and the end result is a game where 95% of the missions you're gunning down easy fodder, and the rest you're stuck fighting a soul destroying monster of a boss. The problem is you'll spend 1-3 minutes in each of those normal missions, but you'll spend hours banging your head against each boss. The difficulty curve is non-existent, there are only extreme, brutal and punishing difficulty spikes.

Each boss has specific intended strategies to beat them, many of them are loadout checks just as much as they are skill checks, that's all well and good, until you realize they gave you the ability to change your loadout if you die, but not the ability to buy new stuff. If you just spent 5 minutes clearing the path to the boss, expect to have to do that again, and again until you buy the weapons that work.

Honestly, whether you like this or not is going to be down to personal preference, I've cleared every Souls title to date, I've also been a fan of Armored Core since day 1, but I, for one, did not ask for Souls difficulty in Armored Core, and I feel cheated that they did it despite specifically saying they wouldn't. I play these games for different reasons, I don't think they work melded together. I think the crux of it, is Souls games were methodical, they required you to learn patterns, react to signposting, understand your build and use it, the pacing allowed you to digest the boss mechanics and learn. You can't do that in this game, most of the bosses have no signposting, and even if they did, they're far too fast for it to be meaningful. Most of the time your screen is going to be filled with explosions, lasers, bullets and zooming robots, there's nothing to digest here, you're reacting purely in the moment, fine when the stakes are low, kinda crappy when every either two shots you or breaks your ACS instantly.

The action itself is spot-on, and the amount of customization offered for your mech is unmatched, even by heavy hitters in the genre like MechWarrior 5. Throw on top a fun, deep story with plenty of factions playing off each other, and a clean slate allowing for new players to jump into the franchise, Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon is a phenomenal new entry that will likely become the impetus for FromSoftware to explore franchises other than just the Souls games.

Speaking of boss encounters, the bosses in this are way poorly placed in terms of progressive difficulty. The very first boss prior to even the tutorial is insanely hard to beat if you are first time player, unless you figure out the strat or got help you would be stuck on it for hours. Afterwards there are also insanely tough fights that vary from tough but easy to tough but impossible. Even Smough and Orstein were easier than some of the early bosses in this game. Its not for me despite my accolades of several Dark souls, Demon Souls, ER platinum trophies. Somehow this was not meant to be a first timer foray into the AC franchise, it will cost you most than 70 dollars, but also your sanity. Expand

    Liked:
+ Game ran perfectly with no issues from start to end
+ Controls were well made, fighting felt smooth
    + Cool boss fights

    PVP:
    - PvP was fun but lacks any structure, no matchmaking only lobbies, game force ends if someone leaves in middle of team match. Can only be treated as side content and not taken seriously in current state

    Disliked:
    - Limited ammo system felt restrictive
    - Story and voice acting were uninteresting
    - Cannot recall the OST, so probably uninteresting
    - Game was very punishing but also a bit too easy at the same time. Everything in between boss fights and mech 1v1s felt lackluster. Going into bosses with not the right build can feel impossible, but going in with information and correct build and the bosses become trivial other than a couple
    - Campaign was a string of missions with some cutscenes, everything except important fights were skippable, 2nd playthrough showed me how short it was

ARMORED CORE 6 – FIRES OF RUBICON REVIEW (Playstation 5)
I have a lot of respect for From Software, as they have been developing one of the most compelling videogames since their smash hit, Demon’s Souls, back in 2009. I have always been fascinated with their games as the game mechanics, the sound, the music, and the atmosphere are fascinating. However, the difficulty of their games has become a problem for me, as I do not have much time to play any longer, and in my free time I’d love to play games that challenge me, but not as punishing as the games From Software is accustomed to making. This staple has become cliché and for me I am already weary that these games are non-inclusive, for less hard-core gamers, or players that just want to have a good experience without being punished. Armored Core 6 will delight these types of players, but I was not impressed, far from, it.

    SETTING
A Sci-Fi story where humankind has conquered vast portions of our universe. I’m unfamiliar with other Armored Core games, but this is supposed to be a reboot. You are a mercenary hired to do some grunt work in Rubicon 3, an exoplanet that holds a precious and valuable resource called Coral, which many corporations are trying to seize. That’s it, the story progresses as you move from your cockpit. You never see humans, just mechas, and that is fine. Seldom From Software stories are explained in detail and I believe this is one of the magic behind their games.

    MECHANICS
    • Exploration:
This is a mission-based game, so there are no options to do a lot of exploration, other than moving from place A, to place B, blasting your way through. The AC moves smoothly, with obviously and disappointingly a “stamina” gauge that gets consumed every time you try to use your thrusters, or dash to evade incoming attacks. I grew tired of the Stamina based approach which I have disliked in the Soulsborne genre (no wonder I love Sekiro so much, no Stamina!) and here it works the same… if you exhaust the Stamina gauge you won’t be able to fly or dahs, and you will be open to receive damage. Exploration is good, but it is hindered by the Stamina gauge, and in combat that becomes a problem, as the mechanical baddies are quick, nimble, and merciless.

    • Combat:
I cannot deny it: it feels good! You have weapons on your shoulders and arms, and you trigger them with the R and L buttons. You deplete your ammo and need but a few seconds so your AC can reload, and you are ready to rock. Weapons are varied and you can use a plethora of guns, ranging from shotguns, rifles, plasma blasters, homing torpedoes, cannons, etc; you name it, it is flexible, and you need to adjust it to whatever enemies you may face. My only complain is that if you have an assembly that is not good for you and you get destroyed, you have the opportunity to redeploy your AC, but only with whatever parts you have in inventory, otherwise you need to abandon the mission, replay others to gain more money, and buy whatever you need. This cycle of trial and error which is a trademark of From Software makes the game an irksome experience. Repeating missions make the game lose its splendor, as forcing the cliché Soulsborne formula in this game is frustrating.

    • Buy, Sell, Assemble, Paint
I have created AC resembling the EVAs from Evangelion, or Mazinger Z… it is up to you and your imagination, and on this regard this game is amazing. No payable cosmetics, I love From Software for delivering full experiences without the need to pay for things like “you want that rifle, then pay for it”. You will spend hours and hours customizing your AC to your liking, and this is incredible.

    VISUALS
From Software is using their proprietary engine, and although his game is different from other Soulsborne games, the visuals are great, but still, I do not see them matrching the like of other impressive games out there, like The Callisto Protocol. I have never cared about that with From Software, as I am more engaged on their game mechanics. The graphics are decent!

I cannot boast in happiness for this game. I wanted this to be a different type of game from this developer, but their constant cliché of repeating the same difficulty level in their games has become boring and weary, and honestly, if they keep making games like this without allowing players to adjust the difficulty of the gameplay; I will not buy any other games from them until they release Sekiro 2. If you like hard games and find compelled to die a lot, and then to repeat over and over again until you get it, then you have much more time than I do, and this is the game for you. If you are a casual gamer, do not buy this, you will be disappointed. This is Bloodborne, Dark Souls, and Elden Ring but with Mechas in a mission based game.

Even a garbage flop of a studio like Volition can give me better graphics than this for goodness sake. The physics are a joke. The missions are boring and repetitive. FromSoftware's game design is cheap and lazy. All they do is give the enemies too much health with powerful attacks and call it a day, because these developers are too lazy to make creative levels. The gameplay is terrible and so is the camera.

I appreciate that these developers gave us a PvP multiplayer mode. Unlike other lazy and greedy developers that give up on the multiplayer because it's too much work, I'm looking at you CDPR and Naughty Dog. I would like to give them credit for that, but the multiplayer is lazily designed. It's just hard lock and shooting until someone dies. I wouldn't necessarily have a problem with that if the maps were well designed, but the maps are complete trash. Way too open, not enough cover. To make matters worse, there isn't even a matchmaking system. That just proves how greedy and cheap FromSoftware are when you take into account that even EA and Take-Two can give me matchmaking in their $60 games. I also hated that I had to complete an entire chapter to unlock the multiplayer. Why can't I just go straight to the multiplayer? I would only recommend this game at $10 or wait until it's on PS Plus.

When he hits half life he rushes me and does this flaming spin blast thing, that if I dodge he just fly's away and does it again.
To better explain my difficulty, I have fifty losses against him since buying out the shop.
After losing horribly numerous times, I did A rank runs of the wall against Juggernaut just to earn enough to buy everything in the shop and practiced against the test ac mission. I've followed streamer and guides and I can adjust my AC between attempt with all available parts.
Nothing I do works and I've only gotten him to 1/4th health once.
In my life of gaming since NES, I've never felt more frustrated at a fight.
I've fought awful bosses, Doom eternals expansion final boss or remnant 1 bug lady come to mind, but they were nothing like this.
I don't know what else to do with the game, but my discontent was so that I made a meta critic account to lay out my grievance and I wont purchase another one or play it again.
I just really wanted to enjoy Armored core but at the end, I don't think I'm the target demographic any more.
If you have a lot of free time to spend dyeing and starting over or grinding without needing a hiatus at work. And/Or have sufficient enough twitch reflexes you will probably enjoy it.
For the casual, it is an exercise in frustration.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Plays like a Sekiro or Souls game. I don't understand why a mecha game has a stagger mechanic. Landscape, loadout and territory should dictate fights. Not reflexes and faster mechs. Big mechs don't even get immunity to stagger but you'll face bosses with asanine mechanics. I was excited to try a 'thicc' mecha, and all I got was 20% more HP but couldn't avoid stagger.

First boss is a helicopter you need to use a sword against. Even though there's plenty of buildings that should be used to fire from cover. You also won't damage bosses much until they're staggered.
Second boss you have to get behind, but if you're a so clunky mech, guess what. Change your build. And enjoy the boss's ability to perform a 360 and run off super fast. I had to chase him for several minutes.

I had way more fun with Zoids on GC and Anthem (can't believe I'm including this game) on PS4 than this game. Graphics aren't even good for PS5 Triple A. Overwhelmingly disappointed with this game.

Waited so long for an AC game for PC, now I got one!
It looks great, Gameplay is great. Completed the campaign 2 times and will start my third run today, cant wait to fight the bosses with some new AC setups again. The bosses are super cool and challenging. All i wished for a new AC game became true.
I hope we will get more AC content now, its so good!

First AC title I’ve played but long time soulsbourne fan. This game is incredible, I’m addicted. The gameplay is incredibly fun, the mech customization is incredibly fleshed out, pvp is a blast, and the boss battles are soooo epic. I will say in typical fromsoft fashion the graphical fidelity especially in certain environments (buildings) could be better for a next gen game, but theFirst AC title I’ve played but long time soulsbourne fan. I will say in typical fromsoft fashion the graphical fidelity especially in certain environments (buildings) could be better for a next gen game, but the gameplay is so awesome I don’t even care. The 2 main complaints I see are about difficulty and how it is different from past AC games.

To address the difficulty complaint, unless you are trying to get S rank in every mission, the game is not very difficult aside from the boss battles, which I think are the perfect balance of challenge and reward. I didn’t really face any real trouble until the final boss of chapter one (many hours into the game). It reminded me of genichiro from sekiro. You can make it to this boss without mastering the mechanics, but you will struggle to get past him without doing so. You need to understand the fighting mechanics as well as customizing your mech to optimize your strategy against these bosses, not just go in spam dashing and blasting all your ammo. After dying 15-20 times to this boss, I learned that once locked on you don’t want to touch the right stick at all to stay locked on to the enemy, this makes fast moving bosses much easier to deal with. Beat him first try after understanding this lock on mechanic, and boy was it epic and felt amazing to do so. I would rank some of the boss battles from AC6 up there with some of my favourites from the entire soulsborne series.

To the complaint about change. I’ll say the same thing I said about final fantasy 16. I know change is scary but it can also be good, and in this case it is.

I will say the story was minimal, but was enough to keep me interested in what’s going on before and after missions and the voice acting made me feel nostalgic af.

Finally, the game has no fps drops, no bugs, no microtransactions, just a fully complete and incredible game on launch. Bravo FromSoft.

If you enjoy casual, story based games, where you can come home from work and shut off your brain and cruise through the game, you will not enjoy this game. If you like smooth and incredibly fast paced mech blasting gameplay, and changing your build and strategy on the fly to optimize for missions and bosses, and taking on challenging but incredibly rewarding boss fights, you will love this game.m

I would normally rate this game a 9 but because of all the crybabies rating it 0 because they somehow can’t to get passed the tutorial, I am giving it a 10.

Such a hood game. It takes a while getting familiar with combat and mech customization, but once it clicks its truly amazing. This is NOT a souls game (despite what some people who dont know exactly what a soulsgame is say) so dont go in expecting it.

No other developer could have made a game like this and we've never had a Mecha game with such production values and ambition. On a desolate and hazardous planet known as Rubicon 3, you'll find yourself engaging in manic battles that test your skills and determination as a pilot. The level of customization allowed is insane and will make you obsessed towards your mech just like anime protagonists are in countless Mecha anime. The atmosphere and aesthetic of this title is also on point. A dark sci-fi, brutalist military universe which is severely lacking in humanity and is ruled by cold, faceless corporations and various factions with their own agendas. The emotionally-charged story here is surprisingly well-executed and will leave you awestruck during key moments. You'll know what I mean once you witness them... buddy. The final aspect that I wish to highlight is the MUSIC. Oh God the MUSIC in this game will get your blood pumping and set your soul on fire. Its soundtrack is an achievement and is right up there with the likes of Final Fantasy VII and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.

This is a Mecha anime fan's dream come true! A hardcore game for hardcore gamers. An Armored Core game for Armored Core aficionados. Thank you FROM SOFTWARE.

It’s not a game that expects you to pilot an AC perfectly from the get go. Like with all worthwhile things in life, becoming a great AC pilot takes time. But once you get there it’s some of the most fun one can have in a video game.

Like many others I found myself stuck in one of the first bosses, but by paying attention to what the game was telling me, and taking the time to learn the different mechanics I found unparalleled joy once I overcame these hurdles. And I was able to get through this learning curve simply because the game is that fun to play.

At the end of the day you have to be fundamentally interested in sci-fi and futuristic settings for this game to reach you. But if you meet only that one pre-requisite you’ll really be grateful that you gave this game a try!

As a fan of Armoured Core for 20 years, I was very nervous going in on what to expect with AC6, but I'm glad to say that for me, it seems FromSoft has nailed the landing.

Piloting your custom Mech feels great, often being a good mix of heavy, bulky weight being blasted forward by boosters that let you get plenty of time airborne. It's perhaps not as precise as some previous entries, but

Piloting your custom Mech feels great, often being a good mix of heavy, bulky weight being blasted forward by boosters that let you get plenty of time airborne. It's perhaps not as precise as some previous entries, but a certain looseness of the controls and a much more forgiving energy bar keep it feeling easy to get your Mech doing what you want it to be doing.

The other principle element in this game, its garage, is also great. While bladed weapons are now restricted back to one arm (RIP blades only lobbies.) and there are no radiators or side shoulder parts, there are plenty of different builds and setups to run with, and it's also a lot clearer what everything does with little demonstration clips for weapons and a testing bay that takes only a couple of seconds to boot up and see if your new AC works as intended. The emblem and decal tools are also complete at launch (no dlc/bp packs needed.) and better than ever, and after a bit of mucking around, I already have plans to stamp my very detailed Anime Wifu of choice onto the side of my AC.

Now, one element that has changed is a number of the game's boss fights. Fights between AC's still play out in just the way the other titles have and it's splendid, and there are a couple of missions that feel like the Arms forts or giant MT's of old. But there are a number of bosses that show a far stronger Soul's influence in how they play. The first boss, the Armoured Helicopter took 4–5 attempts for me to get the hang off, and was a good refresher to me on the importance of getting gud at laser blades in an AC game. The next few bosses, too, often took a couple of attempts but were good at reminding and testing me on central game mechanics and in the end did feel fair.

This all came to a halt tho with a main mid-game boss, that certainly felt much more difficult than others as it left me feeling like I had to 'get a good run' over, having an AC build or tactics that would let me overcome it constantly. Still, in the end I overcame it, and the many attempts to beat it were mitigated by a very forgiving checkpoint system. That let me quickly try something new after every fail. The new impassable borders to levels might also seem a bit strange to old AC players, but saying good by to mission fails for 'leaving combat area, is wonderful.

Finally, on the story, it's a strong setting and does offer some fun twists at the end, and tho I found the game's characters delightful with their cliché, old school, animesk dialogue. It's certainly one of the weaker elements of the series.

So in conclusion, this game is not for everyone. Indeed, it seems to take a twisted pride that most people will bounce off it, and I'd even argue might not be the best intro for many to the world of Armoured Core. But for me after so long, it was wonderful to hear the words 'welcome back raven.'

This game is amazing, the most fun I had playing a game in a long time. The gamesplay is spot on, and feels great. Has really good graphics and the level design is great. Also they don't charge you for anything, like blizzard and ubisoft games do. You get all the skins and decals, and can even download custom made ones. Can't say enough good things about this game.

    Combat:
I love the combat of AC6, the speed, the verticality, the large and I mean LARGE variety of weaponry, the vast customisation of your AC unit is mind boggling. I started off going with the linear rifle and blade combo with missiles galore but over time and feeling what play style I wanted I ended going for a shotgun with the pile bunker for that massive damage. I've spoken with friends who have the game and everyone is running a different AC build and I have had so much fun comparing AC's showing strength and figuring out other fun builds like weapon bay builds.

    Conclusion:
this game has blown me away with everything it offers and I cant wait to play through it again getting the other endings and eventually platinum the game as well.
This is a game that should not be looked over.

Honestly this game is actually a surprisingly good game. All AC games have their sublime qualities but after 11 years apart, this delivers on a big scale.

Honestly this game is actually a surprisingly good game. All AC games have their sublime qualities but after 11 years apart, this delivers on a big scale.

Initially you'll notice graphics are standards but by no means bad. Performance settings seem to run better than 30fps but not 60fps. Though it still looks nice in certain areas. The story isn't too complex but does take a little thought to follow the whole Coral side of things. No spoilers intended, so won't go into further details. It's actually an alright story, with some cutscenes in small places to break up the fully fledged and endless gameplay.

Features are plentiful. No mech is designed to be an outright "best" option but there are a few more favourable builds. The customisation is massive. Between the actual looks of your AC and the amount of parts you can swap and change with. For another not, you still gain new items on your second AND third playthrough.

There is the Arena and story mode, along with an actually meaningful tutorial stage set. Which teaches you about different types of builds. The arena, you basically take down varied and harder AI AC's until you reach the top rank. Very fun

Online is a thing. It's not huge but it has some custom settings for team and non team based fights. Does what it needs to. Also very fun.

The actual gameplay. Really good. Your AC is very, very responsive in every direction you move and rotate to. Nothing ever feels clunky unless you literally build a heavy tank. The weapon choice is massive, and the customisations make it all worth the time. Since there are fmso many stats to actually consider. A weapons lock on time, radius, reload time, ammo, fire rate, power, stagger rate, etc. And so much more. The same goes for other components. A lot to consider

The difficulty is beyond hard from the first mission to the last. With a few eash segments in between. Believe me. Its genuinely difficult. Some we'll known streamers, who have good track records on even the most difficult games, literally took up to 2 hours on one boss. I had issues myself. Not 2 hours worth though. Maybe I lucked out with a better build by chance. Though from experience I had many bosses that made me question if I'll ever beat the game. But I loved it. Checkpoints are very favourable. Missions aren't too long either. I loved struggling against bosses. Though they could have saved the difficulty for AFTER the first boss. Not let us all die in b the first mission. I loved it though. The bosses are creative and all play differently.

Story is about 20 hours - 25 hours usually.

Have a blast just as I did. I'm so glad a lot of people bought this game and love it too

It's an insane game, with many things going on around you, explosions, lasers, tons of enemies, fire from boosters, and mechs flying around. Visually very good, much better than Elden Ring. There is some lore, but I was more focused on blowing things up and fighting with bosses. Mechanics are very good, but I didn't like fights with other ACs, those tough ones, because the amount of spinning the camera around to find your opponent is crazy.

Replayability is also very good because every playthrough up to 3 times will reward you with different missions and endings. Also, you can replay any mission you want so there is a lot of fun with trying your new mech with the boss that you defeated in the past. If you like there is also pretty good PvP, I think it's much more fair than in souls games.

At the beginning, the game is quite overwhelming because of multiple stats, learning mechanics, etc. And the bosses you encounter at the beginning are in my opinion the hardest ones in the whole game, especially you don't have at this point too many weapons and armors to play with.

Definitely, the game is worth playing if you like challenges! 9/10, because I'm reasonable, most games don't deserve 10/10. It has some flaws.

Armored Core 6 is a nice diversion from the Souls games for From Games. The return to modular mechs allows players to experiment with wildly different builds. Sadly, the game feels very unbalanced. It throws very hard bosses at you when you're unprepared and underpowered, while not challenging you enough when you finally reach enough freedom to build an AC to suit your style.
