    this is overall a more polished version of the first game but much longer and more fleshed out mechanics like more options for getting through areas, and some quality-of-life things like wait mechanic with Hugo. Also, a great story with compelling characters, and the visuals are just 10/10 on their own.     Good story, smooth gameplay and action, good looking visuals, amazing beauty athmosperic music, more action than first game. I can recommend this series if you like story games!

    What a incredible game i love it so much I can’t explain how much i love this game , what a beautiful story , what a great gameplay in this game , what an amazing graphics in it ahhhh ❤️

    Now it’s even better, with the new performance mode, which allows us to play it at 60fps! Definitly a must play! Story, graphics, puzzles, characters, the new mechanics.. masterpiece

    A patch has been released that mostly fixes the performance for PS5, so I change my score up to 8 now. Game itself is really good, but performance have been bad across the board, but for PS5 it seems mostly fixed now - don't know the PC situation. I am glad the developers actually fix these things, but it's really late. But better late than never

    Now, the graphics, yes sir, take off your hat, glorious. If you don't like stealth don't buy it and the story in my opinion is great. Very good game, worth every penny.
    But really, what surprised me the most are the graphics, and I played many games with very good graphics, but in this one especially they are wonderful.

    That was an intense trip again! This game is strict story driven with heavy sceneries and some thrilling moments! Beautiful landscapes, great variety of scenes, great characters, great music! An ending where you do not want to press R2....just crazy how brutal and honest this game is!     Просто шикарнейшее продолжение первой части, которое сильно переплюнуло оригинал. Супер сценарий, динамичный геймплей, постоянно добавляющий что-то новое. Очень очень рекомендую.

    This game did a stupendous job at taking the good stuff with its predecessor and building on it, both story-wise and gameplay-wise. I'm personally not too big of a stealth gamer, but I still really enjoyed playing.

    You can also tell the creative direction and graphics were massively improved from the first one, incredible beauty and stuff of nightmares are in this game.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I am so confused by the reviews, that I decided to write my own. The game is beautiful, yes, mostly because of this idea with rats. Huge waves look cool, no doubt. The landscapes are beautiful also, but I honestly can’t say it’s something unique.
    The story is great as well, might be not my cup of tea, but I get why people like it. Won’t say much here, there is enough written in other reviews
    But what’s with gameplay? I might be missing something, but it just doesn’t seem to work. Whats the point of all this “rpg elements”, skill tree, upgrades if it basically change nothing. The only real purpose of all this hidden chests is just to give you motivation to explore the levels and that’s it. All this upgrades might give you a small advantage but why would you need it? In a nutshell the game is just a linear sequence of puzzles. So if you are already good enough in solving this puzzles, you would get advantage in solving them, so if they are already easy enough they would only get easier. Like what’s the point? I’m not an expert in game design but this approach really seems to be awful. And there is almost always all the necessary resources laying just in place where they are needed so it’s not a big deal to figure out what should you do
    Normally, if you are unable to complete the quest in RPG you just go grind somewhere else and then return when you get enough power/skills/resources. Here all this is pointless because you always have enough resources Apart from that it’s a nice game    … Expand

    Graphic is pretty good, gameplay not so much. More could have been done to make it more fun to play. To me, the biggest problem is the story didn’t resonate with me that much.

    Loved it! Beautiful ending! A very nice ending to both games! I've read that there may not be a third one, that's OK, but if there is, I'm going to buy and play it immediately.

    Great graphic and beautiful story, but its a very boring game. No gameplay upgrades from first game. Could play 3 chapters only and then get bored

    I wish i liked the game more. I loved the first one, but this... Boring story, lack essence from the first one. Extremely overpowered main character that destroy the realistic-fiction feeling, is that a sling or a machine gun? Scuffed and clumsy combat system. Stupid enemies.

From start to finish, this game had me enthralled and just completely mesmerized by the emotions expressed through the characters and the action and gameplay was smooth and uninterfered. Highly recommend this title to all. Extremely fast ps5 loading times, smooth frame rate and excellent graphics!! What doesn’t this game have??     By the time A Plague Tale: Requiem concludes, it will feel like being dragged by a pick-up truck, across miles of concrete. The world depicted is a bleak and cruel one with no light at the end of the tunnel. Players will be getting their money's worth, as this is a very long game that is punctuated with lots of gimmicky sequences that add value to the package. The story does have a lot for fans to discuss, and the visuals are amazing, even if they came at the cost of a high frame rate. The gameplay is technically better than the first, but it was never amazing to begin with. The over reliance on prebaked contextual actions and the rigidness of simplistic stealth is something most could expect from a seventh gen console title, not a ninth gen console release.

A continuation of a story that was fine on its own, Requiem delivers one of the most powerful stories ever conceived in a video game. But be wary of the framerate drops on the PlayStation 5 console, which bring their own set of unforeseen despair.
