Nov 2, 2022Good graphics and interesting story, really bad and clunky gameplay like Innocence. They introduce nice new mechanics but they are used only once or twice. You will need lots of patience with the controls and the trial and error.
The worst part is the first quarter of the game. And probably the ending.
Can't recommend it. -

Feb 16, 2023I wish i liked the game more. I loved the first one, but this... Boring story, lack essence from the first one. Extremely overpowered main character that destroy the realistic-fiction feeling, is that a sling or a machine gun? Scuffed and clumsy combat system. Stupid enemies.

Mar 1, 2023Graphic is pretty good, gameplay not so much. More could have been done to make it more fun to play. To me, the biggest problem is the story didn’t resonate with me that much.

Nov 19, 2022Great story game just as I thought it'd be but on PlayStation 5 the frame rate is awful and it doesn't look like they're going to fix it. Very disappointing. Won't be buying another plague tale game in the future.

Nov 17, 2022I played this on Xbox Game Pass (PC) on its release day. While I enjoyed the story but encountered so many bugs/glitches that prevented me from continuing the story. I literally got stuck around Chapter 2's puzzles because the interactions disappeared. Hopefully, if the bugs/glitches are fixed, I'd recommend it since the story was good. But if it's still broken, I'd recommend waiting a bit.

May 30, 2023By the time A Plague Tale: Requiem concludes, it will feel like being dragged by a pick-up truck, across miles of concrete. The world depicted is a bleak and cruel one with no light at the end of the tunnel. Players will be getting their money's worth, as this is a very long game that is punctuated with lots of gimmicky sequences that add value to the package. The story does have a lot for fans to discuss, and the visuals are amazing, even if they came at the cost of a high frame rate. The gameplay is technically better than the first, but it was never amazing to begin with. The over reliance on prebaked contextual actions and the rigidness of simplistic stealth is something most could expect from a seventh gen console title, not a ninth gen console release.

Dec 13, 2022If you are on a quest to find a video game that could make you cry, may your quest end right here. A continuation of a story that was fine on its own, Requiem delivers one of the most powerful stories ever conceived in a video game. But be wary of the framerate drops on the PlayStation 5 console, which bring their own set of unforeseen despair.

PLAYNov 30, 2022An essential purchase if you enjoyed Innocence, and an imperfect but gripping starting point if you missed it. Hopefully not the end of the tale. [Issue#21, p.80]
