    One of the best emotional journeys I had in a game! .The vastness of takes or understandings that you can have for yourself from the whole story and the life lessons it has, is incredible and unbelievable.Totally underrated by corporates and magazines' reviews.

    Requiem makes everything bigger and better than it was. From environments, to gameplay, to story, to even voice acting is better. The ending is tragic and Charlotte McBurney performance as Amicia is one of the best of the year. Amicia has become one of my favorite protagonists in recent gaming history. Not just with Hugo .     Honestly don't understand why this game doesn't have a higher user score, and if it's only because of the 30FPS thing (which, yes, is a bummer) that's dumb. I just finished it and never a game made me feel so emotional, the last time that happened was with 'The Last Guardian' and maybe TLOU2. I must've cried like 5 times.     Beautiful game. Played on a PS5 with little issues. The story and voice acting is amazing. Gameplay is great. Highly recommend

    It's a really masterpiece. The story was really powerful and the ending was amazing and heartbreaking at the same time. Also the soundtrack and the landscapes was amazing. The only flaw was the AI that never conviced me.

    As someone who was quite dissapointed with A Plague Tale Innocence, I am shocked by how much I enjoyed this. A Plague Tale Requiem is a massive step up from the prior title and a straight up triple-A game now. Everything is improved massively - voice acting, music, environments, story, characters, graphics - I could go on. I couldn't stop thinking about this game between sessions, and I'mAs someone who was quite dissapointed with A Plague Tale Innocence, I am shocked by how much I enjoyed this. A Plague Tale Requiem is a massive step up from the prior title and a straight up triple-A game now. Everything is improved massively - voice acting, music, environments, story, characters, graphics - I could go on. I couldn't stop thinking about this game between sessions, and I'm writing this review hoping that more people will buy it because the decelopers have earned it! I feel that Requiem is getting the Horizon Forbidden West treatment. Requiem is, like Forbidden West, a massive improvement over the first game, but for some reason it goes unnoticed. People really don't appreciate how much love and effort Asobo have put into this game.

    Yes, there are some framerate stability issues now and then, but nothing that ruins the experience at all. I was glued to the screen from start to finish, and I'm so happy I got to experience this emotional journey. Amicia and Hugo's voice actors deserve special recognition for a flawless performance. Amicia has become one of my favourite characters in gaming - and again, I really didn't enjoy her performance in Innocence, so that just goes to show the improvement! This game is without question a game of the year contender, and I really hope that the developers stick with the characters in this game.

    These days it's rare to get such a high quality singleplayer game with a great length. I have heard critics say that the game is too long and gets too sci-fi. Personally, I cannot understand these claims. The lore and setting - including it's more supernatural elements were fully established in Innocence, and Requiem is true to these in every regard, nothing more nothing less. This game explores the bond between brother and sister and how far you will go to protect someone you love, even if it means losing yourself in the process. If you ask me, that is a far more intruguing story than the inquisition-focused story of Innocence. As far as game length, it's perfect. Innocence was too short and this nails the story and pacing beautifully. I mean, when playing Requiem you keep wanting it to continue because it's so good!

Ran the game at max settings 1440p ultrawide which held on average 90 fps. The game was so beautiful graphically and I loved the gameplay too. I really am shocked by the reviews I've seen for this. If you don't want to play at 30 FPS or in a foreign languge, then don't buy and ignore it. Don't be an a... and don't vote the game negative, which you didn't play.     Don't listen to the haters. Sure there are some dips in framerate at times when 300,000 rats are on the screen, but the way some "gamers" are complaining about it makes me think they haven't played a single indie game in their life. Game is a solid 10 from start to finish.

    This game lives from its story and characters. I love how you never feel alone when playing. The interaction between the characters during gameplay is so great. You can see the development between Amicia and Hugo during the game and this is not done using cutscenes. It’s great that you get to know plenty of other characters and can enjoy their company too.

    The graphics, sound, voices and music are really satisfying and atmospheric and it’s absolutely beautiful to watch, hear and walk through it.

    It’s a fair price for the game and totally worth it. So go and get it. You won’t regret it.    … Expand

    a worthy sequel to the first game.
    the gameplay is nice but they could have added more weapons and more freedom of action and the basic resources more accessible! I HOPE SO MUCH FOR A THIRD GAME IN THE FUTURE!

We have here, among all the junk that is released daily, once again a real pearl that plays wonderfully. The graphics and locations are breathtaking and the story isIf you like exciting, well-told, in-depth stories, you can't go wrong with this game. In my eyes, it is incomprehensible how people can get so upset about the fps and therefore not give the game a chance and talk it down. Definitely the best game of the year for me, i value story and plot a lot and i miss games that take it as seriously as they did in A Plague Tale. From captivating characters to a well-constructed and well-guided narrative during gameplay, different styles of combat, make you feel in the shoes of someone with no specific training like Amicia, graphics i don't even speak, how beautiful...the game has points that can improve like all the others but overall it's an amazing and unique experience, at least for me, the second only game that made me cry for a long time.… Expand

    Easily one of the best story games of the last decade. I haven’t cried over a game in a long time, but by the time I reached the end, I was in tears. The relationship between Hugo and Amicia is unbelievably strong, and it shows a lot in this game. The voice acting is also top notch. The soundtrack is so gd good. The characters, (especially Amicia and Hugo) were so well written, you getEasily one of the best story games of the last decade.     People giving it a 0 bc of fps is mind-boggling, considering when you look back on a game, you remember it for the story and the characters, not for handful of times the frames dropped by 5-10. We see so many developers nowadays where they seem to put all their time, money, and energy into only the graphics of their games, and none into the plot or the characters.

    You could tell the team at Asobo really cared about their game, and we’re thankful for it, because you don’t see it a lot these days. They swung for the fences on this one and absolutely crushed it.    … Expand

    You shouldn't play it, you simply have to. They took into account ALL of their mistakes that they made in the first part. EVERY chapter gives out completely new locations, you don't want to go through the story, you just want to take screenshots ...

Just finished it and wow. Last time I had this feeling was when ACII was released. This work deserve really much more than that bashing from those framerate princesses.     Gave it a 10 to up the overtall rating. This is an 8.6 outa 10 for me. The combat and stealth is holding this game back. But the story and characters in this game is fantastic, the performance of amicia’s actress is flawless and is one of the best perfomance in a game ever.

    This game is excellent in most important aspects such as the story, accuracy and beauty of the art in the game world. I enjoyed trying it and I hope the development team will work on a new part, to see the creativity and art they will present and push the world of games forward.

Amazing game,even better than the first one.There are more mechanicks in the game that really spice up your game play and the story is perfection.In the first game we didnt exacly know why this plague started and we thought its was because of the rats and the Macula,but it is way more deeper than that.I kind of didnt like the ending where Hugo died but i think thats just me not wanting to let go of him but its ok,its still a amazing game overall and i cant wait for the 3rd one.I just hope Amicia is going to be in the next game with Sophia.There was a post credit scene where we are shown a hand of a baby infected from the Macula showing us that a 3rd game will maybe come but who knows.I just have one issue with it in the back round we can hear somekind of machine and someone on high heels,telling us that that post credit scene is maybe set in modern time.I dont think its going to be a good idea to have the next game in modern time because that means that we wont have Amicias signature weapon the sling witch is a magura part of the games weapons that Amicia uses,and that would mean that we cant play Amicia because when we play as Amicia its in the year 1346,but then thath would mean that Amicia is dead before another carrirer is born.I think the 3rd game should be about Amicai,Sophia,Lucas,the next carirer,the protector and maybe some new characters to come along our journey.But i mean thats just my opinion,i just think its better to keep the origional cast and maybe like 5 years after Requiem.Ive seen that the studio that made this game(forgot the name)does not have andy plans yet for the series,but they have said that they are going to wait for the reviews for the game before they have plans for a 3rd plague tale game,but considering that the reviews for now are great i think we are looking foward to another plague tale game.I just can wait what they are going to do with the 3rd game!… Expand

    This game is amazing!
    The story is so dynamic, touching and moving. The graphics are stunning and very detailed in detail. Mechanics and puzzles were involved as well as stealth tactics. Every single character has a profound role.

    A great story, fun gameplay. One of the best games I’ve played in years. From start to finish I couldn’t stop playing. All the characters are written fantastically and you feel for them as the story continues and was saddened by the ending. If they ever release a 3rd installment I’ll buy it in a heartbeat.

And I do have to say that it still requires a lot of optimization. However, don't let that scare you away, the story is extremely well written, it manages to add a lot of lore to the story already established by the first one without making it too confusing or overwhelming, and what an ending, it made me tear up, and it will absolutely break your heart.     Best game I have ever played. Incredible voice acting, an emotional and touching bond between brother and sister, gorgeous graphics, incredible music, and a very touching and emotional story that stays with you for weeks and weeks after you finish the game. Play only if you are a story focused gamer. If you liked the Last of Us, you will love this!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I was worried that the second outing wouldn't live up to how great the first game was - but my goodness, how wrong was I!

    Amicia has clearly developed as a character since the last game, now noticeably stronger and more determined - she seems to be walking a tightrope of giving into all of the killing though; and the voice actress does a compelling job of conveying all the hurt and angst.

    The game looks phenomenal - one of the best looking games on the PS5, the lower FPS cap really isn't an issue, as it's not a twitch shooter. The sound is also very moving and jarring when needed - it adds yet another dimension of quality to an already great package.

    The story was also brilliant - started slowly, but pulls you in more and more. Very few games have me genuinely caring for the characters; but Requiem had me rooting for all, and the conclusion was a real tear-jerker. I get waiting and hoping that the end wasn't what it was, expecting Hugo to pop up - but alas.

    This is easily one of the best games I have played - I always held TLOU as my greatest game, but this might topple it, or at the least sit alongside.

    Hope this gets GOTY but sadly the public decide that, and people will likely vote some cookie cutter trash like COD.

    This, and Innocence, are fantastic adult games - I urge anyone who loves a great story to buy them both, you will not be disappointed.    … Expand

The bond between Hugo and Amicia is one of the best in gaming and the graphics are absolutely beautiful. Sadly the game runs at a locked 30 fps but it more than makes up for it with all the rats on screen and some of the best graphics in gaming unlike Gotham knights which runs at 30 fps but somehow has worse combat and graphics than Arkham knight from 2015.

    The gameplay is also very satisfying and it rewards quick thinking and cunning. The voice acting is also top notch especially for Amicia. Lastly i won't spoil anything but the ending for this game will make you cry and it will definitely stick in your head for a few days. It is one of the most shocking endings I've ever seen in a video game.    … Expand

    beautiful graphics, great voice acting & well told story with plenty of tears shed through the story. My game ran well on the PS5 but a higher frame rate would of been nice. I also liked the menu's UI and the use of the dualsense controller was perfect. 70% through the the game the stealth and sneaking around gets old.

    a wonderful game. the story was able to touch and surprise. the characters have received an interesting development. the only small problem was optimization, which sometimes interfered with immersion. a project that cannot be missed. thank you for the emotions! and special thanks for the support of the Russian language ❤

    Taking into account that Asobo Studio has a smaller budget than other studios, the scenarios, castles and environments in general are completely awesome. Is not a perfect game (some minor bugs and, of course, the 30 fps cap). A linear story game as I expected and as Innocence was with more mechanics and a longer duration. In a nutshell, more and better. Highly recommended.

    By the time A Plague Tale: Requiem concludes, it will feel like being dragged by a pick-up truck, across miles of concrete. The world depicted is a bleak and cruel one with no light at the end of the tunnel. Players will be getting their money's worth, as this is a very long game that is punctuated with lots of gimmicky sequences that add value to the package. The story does have a lot for fans to discuss, and the visuals are amazing, even if they came at the cost of a high frame rate. The gameplay is technically better than the first, but it was never amazing to begin with. The over reliance on prebaked contextual actions and the rigidness of simplistic stealth is something most could expect from a seventh gen console title, not a ninth gen console release.
