    I purchased this game when it was on sale in the PS4 store for €24,99,- and I do not regret this. Yes he singleplayer story is very short (5 ½ hours to complete on regular for me) but the multiplayer is very alive and is really fun to play. The graphics are good and the audio is even better!

    I hated the CoD games with doublejump etc. but Titanfall 2 has not got me frustrated once after    I purchased this game when it was on sale in the PS4 store for €24,99,- and I do not regret this.     it's a short game but super amazing. great graphics, exciting and I loved the BT-7274 robot. Had it been released at right time, i would have been big hit.

    Titanfall 2 is vastly overrated. It is merely a diluted Call of Duty game, similar to the recent entries in the series, with the ability to wall-run and move quickly. The mechs, or "titans," aren't very memorable, and are merely an extension of the non-titan combat. They add very little to the hectic, overworked and convoluted gameplay.

    The campaign is also tacked on and lackluster. The    Titanfall 2 is vastly overrated.     Absolutely awesome. The kind of sci-fi FPS that comes along every now and then that hits all the right notes and manages to be endlessly entertaining at the same time. This game is fast, fantastically fun, and feels great to play. The mobility is spot on, the story is actually good, and the multiplayer is the kind of rambunctious action chaos that feels great to be a part of. SlidingAbsolutely awesome. The kind of sci-fi FPS that comes along every now and then that hits all the right notes and manages to be endlessly entertaining at the same time. This game is fast, fantastically fun, and feels great to play. The mobility is spot on, the story is actually good, and the multiplayer is the kind of rambunctious action chaos that feels great to be a part of. Sliding around, jumping off of buildings, running on walls and shooting people, and calling in your titan to really f*ck sh*t up. And when your titan gets destroyed, you can eject out, get out your grenade launcher, and let fly at the enemy titan that just destroyed you. Or, land on top of it, steal one of it's batteries, and put it in one of your ally's titans. The game seamlessly transitions between jetpacking around the map shooting guys and throwing grenades to stomping around in a huge robot decimating enemy pilots. And when the action gets to titan-on-titan, get ready for some pulse-pounding action. Even past that, the game still has a great deal of customization and plenty of modes for your playing pleasure. My only gripes are some of the limits in pilot customization where your special ability (L1) determines how you look, and the length of the singe-player campaign.     Titanfall 2 is a fantastic example of a shooter that is able to juggle both singleplayer and multiplayer experiences, ultimately creating a game that is satisfying in all aspects. The campaign is surprisingly engrossing and invigorating, standing out from the opposition and creating an experience that sticks in your mind. And while it’s not perfect by any means, the multiplayer continuesTitanfall 2 is a fantastic example of a shooter that is able to juggle both singleplayer and multiplayer experiences, ultimately creating a game that is satisfying in all aspects.     Where Titanfall failed this one succeeded. With a good campaign and fun multiplayer with a lot of customization with your mechs and pilots. This was the best FPS to come out in 2016, but was overshadowed by COD BF1 understandably.

    Titanfall 2 is a great improvement over the first game. The new campaign feature offers a inspiring tale about a man and his Titan defending their freedom. Titanfall 2 also has a good array of weapons some futuristic and some modern. The animations such as reload are good and the Titans handle well. Titanfall 2's AI is intelligent and while playing with grunts on private match they willTitanfall 2 is a great improvement over the first game. The new campaign feature offers a inspiring tale about a man and his Titan defending their freedom. Titanfall 2 also has a good array of weapons some futuristic and some modern. Titanfall 2's AI is intelligent and while playing with grunts on private match they will lock down areas, suppress fire and advanced on enemy positions it feels like a war instead of when in other games AI will just move wherever until they kill something or end up being killed, The AI feel like soldiers and not robots (pun-intended) but enough talking about single-player the multiplayer is where the game really feels it's best. The fast past chaotic multiplayer is fantastic, the added executions for both pilot and titan are also welcome. The cinematic are nice because they set the mood for the stage or show off awesome attacks. Titanfall 2 is a different type of game from the little details such as the way the gun is held without ammo or the way a pilot enters the titan it is one of the best fps games released in recent years and deserves to profit. It feels as if the game was made for the current generation systems because graphics shine beautifully and no frame rate drops occur. Titanfall 2 also dives deeper into it's lore and tries to explain things. My only gripe with this product is sometimes I will experience frequent lag but this is an internet issue or server issue and not a game issue. The free DLC's and balancing of the game makes it a blast to play. I must edit this review because I have experienced constant problems with the servers. Titanfall 2 has lots of servers of many owners even some of famous gaming companies like IGN but it feels like EA just gave up, lag is a common annoyance when diving into multiplayer.… Expand

The level of control customisation is really impressive for a console-shooter, and the game feels absolutely fantastic to play, both online and campaign-wise. It's some of the best online action I've ever played, including early Quake-memories, epic Battlefield-moments and great game-evenings with the clan in Destiny's Crucible.

    Frenzy sci fi combat on multiplayer servers is action packed and really fun and the mechas really are something diffent from other shooters. ....at first.     I have no idea why this game get's boring after such a short while. Objectively it's very good, yet when I play online and I think I already played for 2h straight the game said I just played 1 hour right now. In the end I just played 15h online which felt like 80h in Battlefield 1. Totally strange. Since then the game is sitting on my shelf. It was an unlucky realease window for this game but I gave it a chance and I hope they will do a third part....that might be more.
    In general I can reccomend this game but Battlefield 1 is the way better choice here.    … Expand

    The firt is that I am not a lot of fan of FPS, but titanfall 2 I loved it. The game have two modes, multipleayer and single player.
    I am going to start by single player, the campaign is short (only 4-5 hours to beat), but very intense (has one of the greatest moments that I can remember in one campaign), which combine platforms, puzzles and intense action. My favourite is bonty hunt, where you earn points for fulfill objectives, when the titans are called is the best of the game and the fights are amazing and spectacular.
    Plus all DLC are free, where add more maps and new modes,
    It is a great FPs that I have enjoyed a lot, it is a pity that the game sold a little, for the next time EA must learn don’t release games so close.    … Expand

    No split screen. Terrible campaign mode where you play the role of a cod style nobody. Micro transactions. It's basically a online only/multiplayer only game. The only good thing about the game is it's visuals and it's sometimes fun game play. It has a weak amount of content and it's added single player isn't exactly a deal maker since you will play it only once or twice and then NEVERNo split screen. The story takes the world-building of games like Half-Life 2 and tries to mix with mech combat that can feel cool at times to do. Unfortunately, the main character is completely forgettable and generic and while I appreciate theTitanfall 2 is a good sci-fi game that delivers a interesting story and solid multiplayer that will for sure please many Titanfall fans and even newcomers alike. The story takes the world-building of games like Half-Life 2 and tries to mix with mech combat that can feel cool at times to do. Unfortunately, the main character is completely forgettable and generic and while I appreciate the mech having a voice and offering some banter, he just doesn't sell me his entire idea. He's no DOG from HL2, but to be fair he can be a battle station for you to pilot. The bosses are just different types of Titans that serve as tutorials for the multiplayer and I'm not convinced they are clever or interesting. The world building is good and all, but where is the Ravenholms? Where is the long runs down empty highways and tunnels that offer more than just (admittedly) fun platforming that gauges exploration and rewards the player? I see alot of potential in Titanfall 2's story, but it needs more to make a stronger statement to me.

    The multiplayer is equally good but troubling. The good parts is the combat and fluidity of movement is really awesome, allowing you to take down pilot and titan alike in a range of versatility. The inclusion of free dlc and class setup is a nice touch, but my problems lie also in the fact the game modes are lacking and because of the way the game was sold at launch, the servers are essentially dead and laid bare. Finding a game is difficult and I feel that it doesn't deserve this because it is a good game that deserves better.    … Expand

    Good solid shooter, good job in the mechanics and story, I love it, and its 10000 better than COD is in this days, I think this is one of the best shooters in 2016 by far, after BF1.

    I loved the campaign, unfortunately it’s a short campaign that once you’re on top of playing it and the combat mechanics you can speed run it in a few hours, the online of Titanfall 2 is excellent and a very player friendly.

    It might the best FPS multiplayer experience ever. Such a smooth and cool action. Polished and mostly balanced (the Tone cannon is kind of stupid though). The campaing is nothing special in the end but it never gets boring, its fairly quick and wont offend you in any way. Its just too bad for such beautiful piece of game to be published so horrible by EA. Hope the guys from Respawn getIt might the best FPS multiplayer experience ever. Such a smooth and cool action.     This is an excellent FPS game both in single player and MP. I finished the campaign feeling very satisfied, and spent a long time in multi-player.

    Part of why this is a 10/10 is because respawn have stated that all further content is free of charge, so no pay-to-win DLC. This is how developers should be doing it....

    Highly underrated. Understandably, a lot of people bring their expectations from the first edition to the Titanfall series which was in full honesty, meh. This game however does everything the first Titanfall did but better and in full force. An actual campaign (which is fairly thrilling) for those questioning why there wasnt one in the first game, along with a drastically improved onlineHighly underrated.     The focus is of course on the online multiplayer and Titanfall 2 offers a good selection of game modes from the usual deathmatches to capture the flag as well as modes where only titans or only pilots are allowed. More important however is the quality of the gameplay. Matches are fast paced and the mix of pilots and titans present ensures that you always have to be on your toes and ready for anything. I’ve played online now for a total of more than forty-eight hours and, while I’d personally like the option of a one hit kill ‘hardcore’ mode, I’m still having great fun with it. One minor area which I’m hoping will be improved upon with future DLC (all of which EA has said will be free) is the level design. All of the levels are decent enough but there is a bit of a lack of variety and, as a result, none of them are all that memorable.

    To be honest the online multiplayer alone would have justified the £25 the game cost me but Titanfall 2 also has a very good, albeit pretty short, single player campaign as well. The gameplay is as solid as the multiplayer and some of the missions, such as one that involves jumping between two different time zones, are very imaginative.

    All in all Titanfall 2 is a great value package and one that could get even better once all the free dlc is available.    … Expand

    Titanfall 2 Single Player mode is the story between a Pilot and it’s Titan. The story starts off with a man named Jack Cooper living in the frontier and working in a group called the Militia. The Militia is a group that was form to stop the IMC. The IMC is the former evil group in the series. Jack Cooper was a pilot in training and was teached by Captain Lastimosa and his titan BT-7274. Jack Cooper’s training was cut short because of an attack by the IMC. Jack Cooper went with a group of militia soldiers to go and stop the attack but failed and got surrounded by ground fleets. Captain Lastimosa and his titan BT-7274 comes to the rescue and saves Jack Cooper but Captain Lastimosa dies and his titan is severely injured. Jack Cooper gets all of Captain Lastimosa gear and titan. But when BT-7274 is finally repaired he does not want to go with Jack Cooper. When BT-7274 finally agrees to go with Jack Cooper they go after and try to stop the IMC and their superweapon against the frontier. Play the Game to find out what happens next.

    Titanfall 2 is a great game. At a price at $60 it’s definitely worth it. It runs very smooth on a PS4 especially in high graphics. In my opinion Titanfall 2 Story Mode feels classic and great at the sametime. Titanfall 2 has a very cliched story but taken into a whole new different perspective. In the story the bond between the Titan and the Pilot becomes stronger each mission you take. Whether it’s a boss fight or a Elimination. The game’s gameplay makes you feel like you’re inside the game. The graphics in the game looks too good to be true. My full rating on this game is 5 out of 5. I know the game is pretty cliched and everything but it’s more of the feeling of the game to me that gets this rating high.    … Expand

    Pros- Online, fun, unique concept, lots of mobility, good graphics Cons- Lack of offline content, lack of maps, minor balancing issues.     Titanfall 2- one of the best fps (first person shooter) I’ve played in a long time. It has everything a good game should have, a campaign, multiplayer, and something unique to make it stand out from the rest of the games out there. Another important quality I want from a game is good graphics, and this game meets my expectations. This game is also available to most players since it’s on PS4, Xbox one, and PC. I received this game about a month after it was released,( Released on October 28th, 2016) and I have personally put a little over 36 hours into it over the past four months, is generally new, and cost around 60 dollars.

    The content I’m always excited for is normally a good campaign, which this game beholds to me in a way that makes me feel actively engaged into the game and it’s story, and by far, this is the only game that has made me feel emotionally attached to a giant war robot/ titan, by the name of BT-7274. The campaign has a pretty generic protagonist, Jack Cooper, a rank three rifle man, who takes over his majors titan, BT-7274, after he’s killed in combat fighting against the IMC (the main antagonists), and your character, Jack Cooper, has had minimal training, he plays a large role in turning the war into the militia's favor, and the militia is the side of the war that you are fighting for. Pilots, are the soldiers who own their own titan, and after Cooper’s commander dies, he gives all of the titan’s controls over to him, making him a certified pilot. Throughout the rest of the game’s campaign, you finish the mission that was meant for major Anderson, who was your commanding officer. On your way through the game, you fight many other factions, for example the Apex Predators, who are mercenaries who don’t care for what's right, just for what pays well, and there are other factions as well. In my opinion the campaign was ok, not the best ever, but did a good job of getting the idea of titans through, and had me attached to the protagonist’s titan. BT-7274, and in the campaign BT slowly gets to know Cooper, and at least has a good sense of humor.

    The multiplayer is what I play most in the game, and has a very addictive nature that i’ve become attached too. The reason this game’s multiplayer can separate itself from other futuristic shooters is that the titans make the multiplayer completely different than anything else I’ve played. What I like about the titans, and the feeling you get when you get enough points from eliminating other pilots and playing the objective to gain points to use your titan, and when you finally get in from the sky, it gives you a sense of sudden power, at least for me anyway. Though, you must be careful not to get your titan destroyed, since it is an online multiplayer there has to be balancing so the titans aren’t completely indestructible. The titans make the game unique, but the multiplayer itself is very addictive. There are a large variety of weapons and 7 unique pilot classes to suit your gaming style.

    Something that changes the game completely is the mobility the player has, having the potential to jump on roof tops and off of walls just makes the game so much fun. The action of traveling on walls and roof tops runs smoothly, but glitches out every once in awhile. On the negative however, I feel that some weapons over power others, Whether one has better accuracy or damage or whatever it may be.Other than a few general balancing problems the game is perfect to me and a favorite at that. However, another positive that I like is the customization, where you can change the look of your character however you like, and you can earn character skins through completing task in the game. Last, but not least, the graphics are great. The graphics without a doubt are fabulous and run smoothly. Some games can’t handle having good graphics, depending upon the system it’s played on, but the PS4 does a good job at running the game and it’s graphics smoothly.

    One thing that disappoints me the most is the lack of offline content. The campaign is great, but I feel like the game needs more, maybe some split screen content would’ve been excellent but it’s just not there, which is the problem. Another negative I have is that there should be more maps. Right now, there is a good amount of maps, but I like much variety in a game, and all i’d change are a few additional maps so I wouldn’t be consistently playing on the same maps, which is a common issue I have.     Titanfall II is one of the worst games ever, the wall runs are so annoyingly precise it takes 30 minutes to do them sometimes, the one where you are trying to board the Marthas bridge I have spent 1 hour on cannot make it. No changes in set up make it easier. As pilot regular mode is super easy apart from the wall running. Game now in trash.

The online multiplayer is just OK and didn't really find myself all that drawn in. Matchmaking tended to be very lopsided too, one team would just annihilate the other about 75% of the time.     This is my favorite FPS of all time. Not only did I love the fluid motion and flawless mechanics of this game and its predecessor, but the campaign simply blew my mind!     - Weapon selection is wide and diverse
    - Deep multiplayer customization
    - The amount of unlockable perks and skins in multiplayer is jaw dropping, and something new seems to unlock after every match
    - Graphically excellent, with no slow down or noticeable texture pop in
    - Bounty Hunt game mode: kill AI or enemies, store it away when the banks open. This loop is incredible, alternating between massive, open battles to tight, close up skirmishes
    - Controlling titans, in either campaign or multiplayer, feels incredible and powerful
    - Balancing is perfect in multiplayer, with no titan feeling overpowered, and with pilots feeling as though they have a chance to do real damage against enemy titans if they are good enough
    - Devs are adding new maps and game modes for free, not locked away behind a pay wall
    - Only microtransactions are for skins; no pay-to-win mechanics

    Cons:
    - Story is disjointed in the campaign
    - Limited options for connectivity in multiplayer - I want to be able to randomly join between just the game modes I like, not all or one

    Mixed:
    - The multiplayer maps are very hit or miss, and I think that everyone playing this will have their own personal opinions
    - The game modes are also hit or miss, but again I think this will come down to personal opinion
    - Depending on the time of day, connection times can vary from just seconds to almost a full minute
    - The game brings you back to the multiplayer menu after each multiplayer match. This is good in that it allows to check out your newly unlocked goodies, but it really breaks up the action in an undesireable way

    For years I have avoided big budget triple A shooter's like they were infectious. Titanfall 2 was the first game to pique my interest, and now I think I may be in love. The campaign was the most balls-to-the-wall fun I'd had in a long time, and I still can't put down the multiplayer, 20 hours in.     I honestly don't get the GOTY hype and what not that has come along with this games release.
    The campaign is fun but EXTREMELY short, if I had paid full price for this game I would have felt insulted to be honest.
    The multiplayer lacks the charm of the first Titanfall game in my opinion.

    As far as campaign goes:

    +Gameplay wise, I have to say it's probably the most fun I've had in an FPS. Yes, even more so than Doom 2016, although they play completely differently. Pilot movement is fun and fluid, gunplay is tight if not a bit generic, level design ranges from simple to spectacular. Titan battles are really fun and Titan designs are awesome.
    +Graphics, the indoor environments are nothing too special but the planet Typhon portrayed in Mission 1 is gorgeous.
    +For trophy hunters this is one is probably very easy.
    -Too short.
    -The writing isn't spectacular, very average. BT is cool though.

This helps to keep the campaign fresh and not feel like you're playing the same levels over and over. Most levels end with some good old fashioned boss fights as well. Who doesn't love some good quality boss fights. Something many current games seem to be lacking.

    Next, the multiplayer. Wow! the multiplayer in this game is just so fun. The tight controls and fast hectic gameplay just keep you coming back for more and more. There are 2 very contrasting play styles in this game, the fast paced and very agile pilots who can wall run, and the slow heavy hitting titans. This allows the game to cater for different peoples strengths. If you find one play style hard to play but are very comfortable with the other. there are modes where you only have to play as a pilot or titan. The ability to call down you're titan in matches is not a kill streak reward but a reward that everybody achieves after a set amount of time. meaning even the more struggling players can call down their titan to help them start getting a good run going. playing the objective will help you to get your titan quicker.

    Respawn have took an excellent stance in promoting all future dlc to be free. Something more companies need to take note of. They will be releasing new maps periodically but will also be releasing new game modes and have advertised special weekends where they will make fun twists on current game modes.

    I can't recommend this game enough. i actually bought a few people this game as a christmas present to help spread the word about how good it is    … Expand

Once you've experience the moving, shooting and various abilities of both pilots and titans, you can't go back to any other first person shooter games anymore. COD and Battlefield would feel slow and old after this.     Lots to love about Titanfall2. If you are looking for a decent first person shooter, then Titanfall2 is for you. I enjoyed the campaign and the multiplayer has a great feel to it. I wish there were multiplayer servers in South Africa though.

I did not like the first Titanfall, and My expectations were low with this game, especially for the single-player.

    This game blows anything from the past while straight out of the water. The campaign is fun as hell and trying not to spoil anything, BT can be very comical in his perception of the world around him. Multi-player is fresh and new; something that Call of Duty has tried to do for the past three years, and failed. They definitely listened to the criticisms of the first game, of which the were many. The main GM is Attrition, basically TDM. It's fast paced, balls to the walls action. to quotes Rags, "A still pilot is often a dead pilot, and that's something I enjoy. It can be a little overwhelming, but these complaints pale in comparison to the positives.

    This game has been completely underappreciated by a market of FPS fans who claim to want innovation and fresh game play, but continue to buy Call of Duty every year. This game was screwed over by EA and it really should have came out in early 2017, when people are looking for a new shooter to blow off the steam of Call of Duty and Battlefield.

    My complaints are minor, and most of them are my fault or can be solved by me. First the game will not start on true dual core CPUs. I had to install a separate program to fix this. I know the minimum specs recommend a quad core, but my Pentium G3258 is handling the game just fine, usually between 60-80 FPS in multi-player. This game literally runs better than CSGO on my computer. Second, I am getting a weird crunching sound out of my microphones which makes the game impossible to hear and unplayable if your trying to listen, this doesn't affect me too much as I usually listen to podcasts while playing games. Lastly, I don't know what is causing this but, every other game or so in the lobby I am kicked from multi-player and sent back to the main menu. It's no big deal as all I have to do is rejoin multi-player, which is surprisingly quick.

    Overall a bad-ass game, and totally worth your time and money.    … Expand

The game mechanics are such a blast, gathered from every fps and action games from teleportation to wall walking, sliding, and grappling mixed with super speedy gameplay full of adrenalin coupled with the invocation of behemoth mechas that give the game another depth to separate it from other "too ordinary" fps games that seem to me super sleepy and slow paced now, using the same shoot duck run hide repeat mechanics.… Expand

    Great fun. The campaign is fairly short, but great to play. The graphics are very good, the gameplay is challenging, but not overly so. The human weapons are more fun to use than the titan weaponry. The titans could have been kitted out with guns that wowed a bit more, but this isn't a major issue. Probably best to let it drop in price before purchasing, due to the limited replay value it has.

    I bought Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Titanfall 2 and Battlefield One at the same time. A few days later, Titanfall 2 was the only one I felt like playing.

    Multiplayer feels fresh, the titans are fun, and there's a lot of odd weapons/combinations like the SMR (full-auto micro missile launcher.) For all the fun I'd give the game a 7.5, it suffers from a lot of the other issues that    I bought Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Titanfall 2 and Battlefield One at the same time. A few days later, Titanfall 2 was the only one I felt like playing.

    For all the fun I'd give the game a 7.5, it suffers from a lot of the other issues that modern FPS do.

    - Players make very little sound, so do titans. It's absolutely ludicrous that you'll randomly get punched in the back and instantly killed by a Scorch without it making a sound.

    - Weapon balance overall is pretty poor. For all the fun and different weapons, there's pretty clearly 3 or 4 go-to primary weapons, and only 2 of the secondary weapons are worth using at all. Sniper rifles and pistols are effectively useless because of player speed, and speed of death. Why use a sniper rifle when an assault rifle kills just as fast or faster, and the G2 has crazy range? Why use a pistol at all when you need an anti-Titan weapon and you never run out of primary ammo? Only 1 or 2 of the maps are big enough for a sniper rifle anyway. Often pilot vs pilot feels more like an RNG (Flatline vs Flatline) or rock-paper-scissors (being caught out with a rifle vs an SMG or vice-versa).

    - The AI is pretty bad, you'll have these scenarios like in Bounty Hunt where the AI is insanely omnipotent and will chase you across the map and dash and punch you. I've had an Ion Titan being shot by 2 friendly titans and 2 friendly pilots single me out and kill me from 500+ feet away with a shoulder laser. The Kill Cam didn't even show it fully turn around.

    - Finally interp lag and data loss is massive problem, especially given how fast players move, and how quickly you die. 2/3s of my deaths seem to be me being shot through walls, or where the Kill Cam doesn't really match what I saw. I've had dozens of scenarios where the player OR TITAN is facing the opposite direction/dashing/reloading when I die, and the Kill Cam show something completely different. Although often the Kill Cam shows them shooting through the walls or doing something impossible, too. This is one of the main reasons I quit playing CoD.

    I've had SO SO many duels and fights where my last shot that would have been a killing blow and it make the sound and visual of impact just for it to do zero damage. I've had fights where 8+ shots make the impact sound/visual, but do zero damage just to die afterwards. This is especially frustrating with weapons like the G2, SMR, Mastiff and Wingman. Weapons with travel time are practically unuseable.

    In summation, the game is fun, but I really wish they'd fix some of these fundamental FPS issues. I was having a great time, but it was slowly drained away and just became frustrating. The better I got and the more I played the more noticeable these issues became.    … Expand

    The game was fun. I would have liked to have seen a greater variety of weapons, upgrade-able abilities, more things to figure out and find, but I truly did enjoy it. In exchange for those short comings it offers a greater percentage of action time.

    This game is an absolute blast to play. I struggle with games to find the right balance in gameplay and story. This has both and does it very very well. I haven't put any time into multiplayer yet, but the campaign is just so so good. That game instead is my everyday Favorite and got a few Friend who still enjoy every match we play. Sure Singleplayer is very nice, but Multiplayer is just Fun as hell.     Having never played Titanfall, I'm really impressed with the sequel's single-player. Concept, controls and graphics all awesome. Game strikes a good balance between spectacle and player agency. Haven't got to multiplayer yet, but looking forward to it.

    It's a fun game with an excellent campaign. It's 5 hours campaign is the standard time for fps, so I don't see it as a complaint. There is a chapter in particular that really shines. The mechanics of the chapters are fun and unique. It's truly a shame there are so little people playing it. CoD fans would feel right at home here.

There is fantastic customisation options to calibrate your movement and initial settings to your play style which helped me get it 'just right' for my movement style, that was a very welcome bonus. Though not being able to properly customise buttons should be stock standard these days no? why not?
    Game design is strong and original - mechs look fun and feel heavy, guns look fun and sound great, are varied enough (though they all feel like they do fairly equal damage) soldiers look sci fi and well stocked. Environments are ok, not particularly original or interesting. Sometimes the visuals were great where you could stare out to the sky and see meteor like scene of battle in the background. Other times environments were very 'meh', anything with offices in them are just so tired.
    Level design is a combination of well put together and awkward. Sometimes they got interesting ways of getting you from a to b, but also places felt to me sparse and boxed in, not enough enemies, convoluted and unrealistic corridors, but at other times it feels intuitive, fast and fun to feel like you're traversing distances that seem far but you'll eventually reach. There is a lot of creativity in level design choices, it just doesn't seem to pull it off as well as it could, especially as there isn't much options on how to proceed, just follow the enemies to the end of the level.... I'll get to the story but if it has more brains or creativity in it then the level design and execution would be a lot more varied and interesting..
    Sound is really top notch with guns, mech sounds... music was fairly typical military grandness but well done and not ridiculously obvious like some other games.. voice acting is terrible at times. There were some characters that were so laughably painful to listen to (Viper and Richter in particular, but even guy who trains you at the start had the most confusing Aussie/Irish/who knows accent. Terrible.). Cliches I had hoped would never return, returned in spades. Women who are funky and cool and dangerous.. so boring and predictable in today's fashion...And this brings me to story - where I am sick and tired of silly storylines that I've played for the past 25 years, always glorifying military and how special my character is, always making me seem big and powerful yet I didn't really earn it. Always the bad guys are bad and stupid, they have no feeling, they have typical accents (South African/Zimbabwian, again?!) mercenary theme is so popular right now its such a cringe to expect to hear it and have my fears confirmed, as though all market research insists to stick with the mercenary/money hungry and give them the exotic mercenary cliche - where is the creativity and vision to flesh out better enemies with more convincing needs?? So the story is a DIVE of cliches and military greatness, hi fives and thumbs up and commanders getting angry with me and privates saying how great they'll finally get to kick ass. Total loss of immersion in the game because of it. Thats my personal experience and it may be different to yours but its undeniable how obvious the plotline is in both being able to predict what kind of things will happen and how you'll be getting out of them.
    Campaign was also too short - It started with the grand buildup of introducing mechanics and the world which is great to get a feel for the world but by the time I felt I really could enjoy the variety in guns and putting them to use, the game descended into a mess of rushed and inconsequentially easy and idiotic decisions, pacing lost everything and became thoughtless mayhem.
    Final gripe: Constantly getting showered with new upgrades for mechs, so I cant really flesh out my existing ones without feeling I should be 'moving on' to new ones, constantly having too ammo for guns that breaks a need to strategise or ration ammo (loses immersion again).
    I will say one real positive in this game is the load times - always quick, always smart about where you died and need to respawn. Very very good and kept me going with ease.

    To sum. the game is fantastic for what it can do (Call of Duty style gameplay) and could do (imagining where the mechs could be fighting and why), but it falls so short on its story and script and voice acting so much so that I lost all immersion by halfway through the short campaign. And did I say that you cant skip those tired and painfully bad scenes? lucky there weren't many. It reduces the overall score to a 7 because those things deny me wanting to play it again, deny it from being an epic and I reserve higher scores for epics.    … Expand

    This games deserves so much more, the story although short is amazing and emotional. The multiplayer is fast-paced and full of action, customization and free DLCs. I'm finishing this game for the second time, the first one I did in one run because I couldn't stop it.

    This review is based on campaign experience mostly because I did not play multiplayer a lot.

    I have played first title on x360 and I liked it a lot but it did not last long. And for me it was sad that game did not have campaign. This part has story mode and I had good time with it. Specially level with time changing is awesome and memorable. And in the end game is going to epic mode and you are experiencing really satisfying ending. However, campaign is short and it is not enough to have any emotional connection with characters. Characters do not have time to be fully open their stories.
    Multiplayer looks kinda nice. I really like customization and how fluent it is. But like I said I did not spend enough time with that.
    I hope we will see TitanFall 3. Please buy that game and you wont regret unless you hate FPS shooters.    … Expand

    Having given up on the COD franchise since it lost its way after BO2 and since I didn't really get overly excited in playing BF1 I thought I    Great game !     It knocked out Battlefield and Call of Duty for the best shooter this christmas.

    The only thing Titanfall 2 is missing at launch is PvE and some depth to its user interface. Everything in game is very refined and polished. The class customization has the perfect amount of depth and the tactile abilities are exhilarating. Titanfall 2's possible combination of strategies seems endless, along with its skill ceiling .

Mixing in elements of Borderlands style bosses and portal style platforming. This game is a much a platformer as it is a FPS and that is no way a bad thing. In fact it enhances the experience.     It's pretty fun. Very shallow story line. No character development, so I didnt really care when anyone got killed off.
    Multiplayer is where its at. I expect this game to fade away quickly like the first.

I played the Modern Warfare remaster right before this and it was so good that I was kind of hopeing they just ripped off their own work an a modern setting....but nah...seems like nobody who worked on the story of MW actually went to Respawn. Again, it WAS really Fun..and the multiplayer is really fun as well....its just three down on the list after Overwatch, MW1, BF1....soooo I probably won't keep it around and purposely didn't buy digitally because I had a feeling that would be the case. Sucks because it's better than I thought it would be and I AM really enjoying the multiplayer. If you aren't into Overwatch and COD is too stressful or you don't like getting killed over and over buy 15 year old's or MLG/stoners than this is probably the game for you.… Expand

    Single player was not as bad as some say. Multi player is best ever, I just love it. Normally I do not play multiplayers, but this one is just amazing. Hope they will bring more maps as well at some point.

The multiplayer is much deeper than Titanfall 1 but still holds the aspects that we loved from the first game. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I still haveI was pleasantly surprised by this games campaign.     Short Storyline gameplay. It was fun but not worth $40; let along $90. If you're not hacking, you are fighting hackers everywhere in Multiplayer. The rate at which people hit you in the head and you can clearly see them firing from the hip. One player actually headshot me while sliding down a ramp shooting from his hip. I played 1 match in Titanfall 2 and I already want my money back.

    All in all this is by far one of the best games I have ever played - period. I will spend many more hours in multiplayer and I am sure I'll keep returning to the singleplayer every few or so months and just re-experience this incredible ride.

    Very much enjoying this game, i didnt like the first one, more of a cod fan. This is the real infinite warfare.

    This is highly recomended, especially if you like fun games.

    Negatives: I don't like the grunts in the game too easy to kill, titan life is a lot shorter much easier to kill, longevity of the game might be the same as the first installment.

    To summarize this game is a better game than Titanfall 1 and does have some slips here and there but that doesn't mean the game deserves a 0 rating some people are giving it. This is one of my favorite shooters that has come out and I recommend this to anyone who loves fps. I hope they keep improving this game and adding even more customization for future installments of the titanfall franchise.    … Expand

    The game starts on a high note. Visually stunning and in fluid 60 frames per second. The first level is absolutely gorgeous. My first (not very technical) impression was: “holy **** they outdid Uncharted 4 and in 60fps! Why would I buy the PS4 PRO? How much better can it get?”. Yes, it’s that good.
    That is all the praise this game is going to get from me though.
    The graphics are so amazing that for the first hour or so you don’t notice how boring the gameplay is. It’s only when the visual splendor drops drastically (to recover at the final part of the game for a short while) that you notice that this is just another Call of Duty game with wall-running and Titans. To be fair, the visual fidelity is not changing at all. It’s the “story” that takes place in some terribly dull environments like the really dark sewage system or the weird sci-fi factory (that makes you jump like it’s a new Mario with guns).
    I bought the game after reading how amazing it is in the reviews. It’s cool but not that great.

    Let me point out the main problems in this game for me:

    1. Wall-running and jumping is unpredictable. You’ll die many times because the system is unpredictable. The good thing here is that after every “parkour death” you will restart quickly just were you died
    2. Guns are so confusing. This is a Call of Duty problem because it doesn’t work in the sci-fi setting. While we love to have the real names of all guns and many of us know the brands and models from movies or thug’s life (wink), it is pointless to name the fake guns using codes and numbers (for example something like RC270) in a game that has so many weapons. Easy solution? Less weapons that are almost the same and more characteristic names (funnily enough some of those weapons do just that, like the Mastiff-something riffle).
    3. The levels are boring in my opinion, and the shooting scenarios are chaotic and easily forgettable.
    4. Titans are no mechs. They’re more like exosuits. I love mech games and this does not feel right. It’s cool, but it lacks the feeling of being in a powerful machine with amazing defense and slightly less mobility. The CoD Killstreak rewards seem much more powerful to me.

    Now the good things about this game:
    1. It’s solid. The framerate seems perfect, visuals are never below technically great (even if on the boring side most of the campaign). When it works it can be spectacular.
    2. Titan entering animation is fantastic.
    3. Some story elements are interesting but they are very rare (like the time travel mechanic).
    4. Gameplay is just like any other Call of Duty game so if you like that, it’s great for you.
    5. Story is a bit less stupid than usually but the storytelling itself is **** It goes like this: “Go here. Oh! We barely made it! Yaaaay!!! Now let’s do this again and again and, OH! Wait! Let’s do another poorly disguised fetch quest cause we’re here anyway. OK guys, this is really the last one, you guys! HA! just kidding. OK now we’re really done. You did it! Great job”.

    Disclaimer:
    1. Any game that has a single player campaign can be judged by it. 70 Euros is a lot of money so I feel entitled to feel disappointment when what I receive isn’t exceptional. Excuses like “oh it’s a multiplayer game” are the reason we are getting ****ty campaigns like this one (or worse) so often these days.

    Multiplayer - Fun pacing for players. Nothing beats Attrition as it is hands down an amazingly paced yet fun style of gameplay. The fun of the mode is complemented by the fact that the losing team has one last opportunity/life to make it to make the rendezvous with an extraction ship while being hunted down by the winning team.

    Overall - Worth the money and reminiscent of the campaigns of past decades in which a few hours of combat and a decent script made for an excellent addition to the game.    … Expand

    Titanfall 2 is another step in the right direction, but I still feel like it misses the mark. Titans aren't really fun to play as and the movement feels a bit floaty. Somehow though it keeps grabbing back and begs to you to keep playing. It's single player campaign is good, but nothing amazing. Also, the graphics once again look absolutely not up to par.

    After being left out of the first titanfall experience i was very excited to see titanfall 2 come to PS4. The problem with the first Titanfall was that it only featured Multiplayer with very few content that wasn't enough to make it 60 dollars worth and with the lifespan of only lasting a few months, it was very surprising to see that the game got a sequel. So does it measure up to even better than its predecessor or does it fall flat under with the other grounded shooters?

    Developers Respawn Entertainment as gotten a lot of backlash with the consumers about not having enough in the first Titanfall and one of them was that the game lacked a campaign mode. They have now addressed that and have added a campaign in Titanfall 2. From what I have played, the campaign is very good if not being very cliche on its story. I played as a Pilot name Jack Cooper whose job is to stop an evil cooperation from developing a weapon that can destroy planets. It sounds really basic with the good vs evil kind of thing, but what makes the campaign story fun to play through was the companion I got at the beginning. The companion was named BT-7274 or BT for short. He is a Titan that is linked to Jack Cooper in which gave a battle advantage in a lot of scenarios. Throughout the campaign, the relationship between BT and Jack was written out well with given dialogue between the two and funny skits that was amusing which gave character to mechanical titan as he gives unusual literally responses that doesn't help the given situation or him trying to give Jack a thumbs up.

    Given that, the gameplay of the game is astonishing. The game is a shooter but the spin of the whole game is that the player is given to free maneuver around. To jumping over 40 ft in the air from running on walls as the player is shooting at Titans or pilots, the game is endless on its scenarios. From my playthrough, I was able to use a variety of weapons from Sub-machine guns to Auto-Pistols with the given setting of the world as each gun sound is impacting and astounding to listen to. The sound of the game is very well done as Titans clash against each other with the metals grazing or when a Titan punches on a Pilot, the pilot just burst into red mist.

    The only problem I had with the game was that even though the campaign was really refreshing to play, the story was too predictable and tameness as nothing in the story was climatic, given the amazing set pieces of the game. The villain's in the weren't fleshed out as well with one popping up after another. I don't really even know their end game since the ones I fought were mercenaries for hire. I wished the story was given more thought and the world was told better to help the player be more involved in the world.

    The game has a few flaws that would've made it even better but I am very happy of what I got. Titanfall 2 is an outstanding game with newly fresh gameplay and beautiful scenery. I say that it is a buy for anyone who wants a shooter or something different from the usual modern warfare.    … Expand

    Totally surprised by this game. I wasnt going to bother with it, but wow, am I glad I did.
    It just gets better and better as it goes on. You actually feel part of something much bigger.
    There are few games that I would say felt epic (maybe Uncharted 4?), but this delivered in spades.
    100% recommended.

    At first i was VERY skeptical of buying and testing out this new style of FPS. And let me just say this, this game has raised the bar in First Person Shooters. I have played first person shooters for the past 23 years. and very few games make it on my list of the very best. And i am proud to say that this game has made it onto that list.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The shaders and graphics of this game remind me of Halo 5. The gun play, however, reminds me of Metal Gear Solid 5. At first, I wanted to say that it has a Call of Duty grade weapon’s system, but that’s not entirely fair. It’s hard to say “it’s like COD” when the game is nothing like COD. The biggest feature of TitanFall 2, that I’ve noticed, is the timed jumping/wall running/using paths less traveled aspect of navigating a mission area. In COD, things are pretty straight forward and you can tell where you need to go next at any given time. TF2 forces you to examine your environment for alternative paths to get where you need to go. And this is due to the areas you are exploring are inhabited by machines instead of humans. But as a “pilot” you have the ability to jump higher, climb sheer walls, and wall run around the inside of missile silos in order to get where you’re going. Which is fun and exciting the first time you play it, but a second play-though is not something I find I will ever do again. But don’t get me wrong, that’s not saying the game is bad. It’s just a lot of headache and complex movements that if done again, would only feel like a time sink, and wouldn’t hold much value. If it wasn’t for that complex movement system, I would have given this game a 9/10.

    So back to weapons. The guns are pretty nice. They feel good to shoot. They are accurate and have no glitches or issues that I could see. The only problem that I really found is that sometimes in certain areas, all the enemies have one certain type of weapon. So, if you have your favorite SMG and you enter an area with a lot of shotgunners. You won’t find extra ammo for your SMG. So you have to either give up your SMG for the shotgun, or abandon your secondary weapon. And I always like to have an RPG or something similar when moving through a mission so that I can take out any surprises that may overwhelm me. In short, it presents a challenge and the game forces you to switch out weapons at several spots. This might be due to the fact that I was on a hard difficulty, but I think the same will be true even in the easiest mode.

    So the plot is next, and the plot is amazing. The story is great. They did make an attempt at bitter sweetness, but kind of fell short in relation to some other games that have tried this emotional plot line. The death of a machine doesn’t really hold much weight on a human mind. The very ending of the game suggests a TitanFall 3 (but you have to wait until the end of the credits).    … Expand

    I was very disappointed with the Stress test from a few months ago. The reason being is because i tried on Xbox one with a controller.     I was afraid that the multiplayer population was going to be non-existent because of BF1(Ea seriously should have release the game a few months later....) and Infinite Warfare but now that COD is terrible and the Multiplayer is Pay to win.

    The Online base as increased like crazy and it's only getting better, in PC, it's now 3 times what it was from Last week.

    Respawn just want to say Big thank you for such an awesome game!

    Biggest surprise of the year? Maybe. Great campaign with some bonkers original levels that have never been done before. Multiplayer is good but being a BF fan I prefer huge maps with lots of people playing. It's good though

    For me this is the game of the year 2016. Fast paced, super fun multiplayer shooter with a brilliant single player campaign.

    Multiplayer has alot of variation and great maps - The fact that game has no seasonpass and the dlc will be free is 100% win-win.

    The game features fast and brutal action, tight controls, is visually enjoyable, mechs wrecking havoc left and right and glorious space cowboy parkour. This is shooter 101 - the game gets everything right from the get go. Campaign is a nice bonus and albeit short, guarantees multiple playthroughs. The game is worth every penny, buy it already!
