    Very intense Game. Never seen such good storytelling. Gameplay, Graphics and Sound are also super cool.

    The game is a masterpiece that is way ahead of it's time. People are going to talk about it for years to come. It may not be as good as the original but it breaks boundaries. It makes you aware of the horror of the wicked acts you as a human can commit. There is nothing like it. The game explores taboo themes just like Silent Hill 2 did. Not many developers will be as brave as Naughty DogThe game is a masterpiece that is way ahead of it's time. People are going to talk about it for years to come. Naughty dog has so many great titles with the last of us 1, uncharted and so on, its a hurts to see this is how they think this is the direction for the story. The gameplay is amazing I will grant it that, but at least let us finished what we started with Abby instead of Ellie appearing to be such a weak character, when she lost the fight in Seattle and california.     Naughty dog managed to actually tarnish the good memories I had of part 1. Tragic. They couldn’t help themselves I guess... writing a terrible plot while pushing their identity politics nonsense. The disappointment is like a gut punch. The comparisons to The Last Jedi and GoT Season 8 are warranted. What a disaster for this franchise. It will never recover.

It is the biggest naughty dog game yet with large open environments to explore, filled with optional areas, secrets and environmental storytelling. Every game has some minor issues, this is VERY far from the worst game I've ever played, and yes while I believed the decision to play as Abby several times was a most peculiar choice. One that at first I did not completely agree with, but after completing the game, I really do feel for and understand both Ellie and Abbie's perspectives. The gameplay and graphics really stand out 10/10 for that BUT, while some of the story choices can feel odd at times. In the end, I believe Ellie's choice isn't that she forgave Abby it was that killing her wouldn't bring Joel back. Abby having to live with herself knowing what she had done whether she felt remorse or not "probably not". To conclude while this story may not be for everyone. I personally enjoyed it, the emotions in this story really brought me back to the first game, that gut wrenching ending actually felt just right to me, THIS WAS NEVER MEANT TO HAVE A HAPPY ENDING. It's supposed to be a dark and emotional story and I feel it's almost done perfectly. Thank you.… Expand

I really tried to like the game because i am a big fan of the series but i dont like the story at all and the gameplay is almost exactly the same as the last of us part 1. For me the worst part was the ending, I get you wanted us to learn something from this but I really wanted to see Abby dead and I cant believe Ellie killed so many people just so sche can leave Abby alive. This is just stupid.The only thing that prevented a 1/10 were the graphics. I am going to give it to my friends so they dont have to waste their money on it.… Expand

I get that some people would have wanted to see things play out differently, but Naughty Dog is in control here, not us the players. We are taken on a journey to see how THEIR story plays out. You don't have to like the choices made, but the story is incredibly deep and captivating. I fully admit that I did not want to play as Abby at all. About halfway through her portion of the game, I came to realize that I no longer hated her, even if her actions were deplorable. Just a bunch of regular people in a **** up world with at times broken moral compasses.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I don't understand why people are claiming the story is poor. The story is about the horror of vengeance and the loss that comes from it. It is a stirring experience told from opposing viewpoints where both characters are the hero in their story. The writing and acting is excellent.

    There are moments that are extremely difficult to watch but really add to the impact of the games. There were times were I was actually shocked when a character died. I was riveted to the story and completed the game in only a few sittings.

    I do still think the first game is the better of the two. TLoU2 had some pacing issues in the middle of it and probably could have been a little shorter without sacrificing much but overall I really enjoyed the game.    … Expand

    Soundtrack and Audio 10/10 - Just like the first game, it is absolutely perfect, it adds so much to every moment, weahter it's combat, a cutscene, or just exploration, it always brings so much life into the game. Bravo Gustavo, once again.

    Acting 10/10 - It wasn't because of the actors that the story failed, they were just perfect, especially (obviously) Ashley, but Laura Bailey did an amazing job as always

    Narrative 5/10 - First 15 hours were amazing, the 10 hours that followed were a complete mess, I found myself rushing towards the end cause I couldn't give a **** about the story they were trying to tell us.

    (Ending 9/10) - I just simply loved it. I cried so much at the final scene. If it wasn't for the poor execution on the second part of the game, this would be a 10, and the story could easily be 8 or 9. But it isn´t

    Final Thoughts: Although the narrative has issues in its pacing and decisions, this was still one of the best experiences I had with a videogame in a long time (probably since part 1). And even tho the story isn't as good as the first one, the overall experience was worth every second. You just don't find this kindof quality in games often, so you should apreciate Naughty Dog for still investing in these games with engaging and emotive narrative, combining it with oustanding visuals and gameplay

    I want to give it a 9 for all that it did well, but because the story is so important in these kind of games, I can't rate it higher than 8.    … Expand

    This was the worst Naughty Dog game to ever come out. The first game was masterpiece of story telling. This one was a shiny gold dipped turd. Its pretty and the controls are decent but that's where it ends. The game completely fails in the one part a single player game needs to excel and that's the story. I would recommend just not playing this. It would just be a waste of money and time.

    I was led to believe by the trailers to expect another story about 2 beloved characters and their relationship, in the end it was not.

    The story strays even further away than the first game from the infected apocalypse setting.
    Not that it was bad on the first game, in reality it was kinda refreshing.
    Putting Ellie and Joel as centerpiece was what led me to love the game.

    Where in this story, despite having some characters that appeared in the first game, they were just shells of their former selves.
    That led to a depressing and uninspired turn of events, where the decisions taken by those characters were outright stupid and unrealistic, leading me to feel as the characters were forced to act that way to advance the story.

    While playing, I haven't felt a connection to Ellie or Abby, especially the ending.
    Why kill all those people just to get to Abby if you're not going to kill her?
    You already turned yourself into a murderer, just finish it.

    Gameplay-wise it was good, but it wasn't that ground breaking experience that I expected from a famous studio such Naughty Dog.
    Throughout the game there were many occasions where I've faced animation bugs and gameplay bugs.

    Graphics are great, one of the best that I saw on the PS4, but following the gameplay I've seen objects blinking in and out of existence, some texture bugs as well.

    Overall it was a disappointing ending to a game that needed no sequel.

    I meant to give this game a 7, but due to the massive changes on the promotional material to purposely mislead the public I'll give it a 6.

    Being further disappointed by the way that prominent figures in the medium handles criticism, and I am not talking about the aggressive and offensive comments and/or reviews.

    Where both sides dismiss any type of point of view that differs from their own, saying that they are bigoted, stupid, propaganda or saying that the critic lacks “insert anything to further prove their point of view”.

    As Well as the passive aggressive humor, comments, actions and hypocrisy commonly shared by both sides of the argument.

    I feel pushed to stand in a middle ground and give this 'GAME' a 5.

    I gave this a 10 because of the unique and different way that NaughtyDog approached this game. Its definitely not what I expected or what I wanted to happen but its something I deeply respect. Biggest issue was deadnaming of Lev. It made sense but still.

    Don't be deceived by the graphics and visuals. FOCUS on the story quality and the weak plot! It lacks quality. There is ABSOLUTELY NO PAY OFF for games in the end. The purpose of gaming is allow the gamer to make decisions while being fully immersed. This game ignores and disrespect basic courtesy to gamers.

    After taking the time to actually play the game properly 35 hrs! Storyline is very good and traumatic! Did drag a bit towards the end but the set pieces was stunning! the haven wow! And very emotional to see a character trying to move on with PTSD! Any review that was posted in 19 and 20th June had no way of completing a 30+ hour so should be ignored play the game it is a master piece!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Let me preface this review by stating that The Last of Us Part 2 (TLOU2) was a game I was looking forward to for a very long time. I'm a big fan of the original and I bought the game when it was released even though | did not own PS3, I had to borrow it from a friend. I bought its remastered version years later with my PS4pro and I enjoyed it as much as for the first time.

    TLDR summary: The Last of Us part 2 is well realized game that improved on many aspects of its predecessor that were considered low point of the game back in 2013. Visuals, sound and music are absolutely top notch and can be considered among best of this generation. Its story is and will for a while be considered controversial. I consider TLOU2 plot and character arcs its weakest link, which is stark contrast to the original, which was generally recognized for its gripping story and interesting and likeable characters.

    TLOU2 is a competent game that improved upon aspects of its predecessor that were considered by many its weakest points-combat, stealth and AI. All of these aspects are significantly improved in TLOU2. This is important to understand as the sequel is focusing more on combat than the original. Improved combat and AI makes the combat more challenging but more importantly fun. I enjoyed combat in TLOU2 while I considered it necessary evil in the original. I still prefer to use stealthy approach to combat but this is more due to my lack of skill than game not giving me tools to overcome those challenges.

    Visuals -- simply stunning and represent a great farewell to PS4 era. The original was a swan song for PS3 and TLOU2 will be among few other games to be considered technical masterpiece of PS4 generation. I had encountered very few issues, mostly minor ones related to low resolution textures in some places or slow texture loading/pops from time to time. There is very few loading screens, which is all the more impressive when considering how visually impressive the game is.

    Sound and music -- probably the most outstanding part of TLOU2 for me that absolutely enthralled me from start to finish. Music is absolutely great and I hope there will soon be official soundtrack for TLOU2. Sound is very competent, atmospheric and well realized. Combat sound especially are dramatic and match the intensity of the gameplay.

    Exploration -- Naughty Dog made the game large and even dabbled into semi-open world in certain parts of the game. They also introduced player ability to jump but I honestly did not feel it was really crucial in exploration. I enjoyed scavenging for various materials hidden around maps even if I was constantly full on most resources. I played the game on moderate difficulty where crafting materials and ammo are reasonably plentiful. My biggest gripe was low reserves of materials or craftable items that main character could hold in inventory. It is still important to scavenge even if you are full on materials because you will find pills and weapon parts to upgrade your character or weapons respectively.

    Game pacing and length -- I found the game well paced with frantic sections followed or preceded by calm periods that gave you chance to breath out, lick your wounds and prepare for another section. The structure of the game is rather predictable--large action set piece is followed by scavenging and exploration or story-telling bit. There are few areas where this structure is altered but none of these are too long or otherwise detracting from your enjoyment. I feel the game was stretched a bit, especially near the end there were few sections I struggle to justify their existence in retrospect.

    Story -- ***SPOILERS AHEAD***

    This is a part where I was disappointed by TLOU2. Not because the story was bad but because Naughty Dog decided to make huge leap from original game and refocus it it on Ellie and other characters. The disappointment stems from my love of the original while the sequel offers unexpected story continuation (maybe progression is better term as there is not much continuation), undertones and resolution.
    The story will take you to unexpected places and might feel disappointing or outright outrageous if you are fan of the original. The game will drag you along its unforgiving story often feeling like an unwanted passenger at times. It took me almost till 3/5 of the game to come to terms with all its characters and start enjoying them.
    Conclusion of the game is very open-ended and vague. It does not provide satisfactory closure and I long for more while knowing there is no story DLC in works and if another sequel ever get made it will be years before it comes out.    … Expand

    I believe the section where v play as Abby could have been flushed out a little better.. Her motivation to go back and help LEV and YARA was poorly executed.. I guess they should have bonded a little more and then Abby could have justified her actions of going back and saving them. Rest of the story with Ellie is amazing, her motivation and ultimately her action of sparing Abby is well presented although in the end she losses everything.
    Gameplay wise is almost as the first game but a little tweaks here and there..and well executed.
    A well made game and a must play but I still believe the story with Abby's part could have been well written.    … Expand

    The story is so bad, why did Ellie go all the way through and killed a lot of people to forgive the taht awful characters at the end and at the very last moment? They changed all that TLOU meant.    … Expand

The characters are underdeveloped and nothing from the first game resonates into the second. Old characters do not fit their personalities and new characters fail miserably at creating any emotional attachment. However, the production is outstanding and should be appreciated regardless of the writing. They also handled heavy topics in a way that didn’t seem too distracting.     Great game that tests the players emotions and feelings. The developers tell a great story from two perspectives that is normally not told and shows a world were no one is a hero but morally gray or complete evil.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game was beautifully made. For the people that see or think of it as a “poorly written revenge plot cliche” the game went over your head. Yes, the plot is about revenge, but the story is about Ellie’s grief just as the first Last of Us was about Joel’s grief. The first game mirrors the second game in that regard. The first Last of Us game is the whole “cure for mankind zombie apocalypse cliche” plot, but the story is about Joel’s grief. The Last of Us part 2 makes you walk in Abby’s shoes who is essentially in the same boat as Ellie in the beginning of the game. And if by the end of the game, you still want to kill Abby, I’m sorry to say that you might’ve beat the game physically, but you didn’t win the game Naughty Dog was playing with your heart or mind. This other review can explain this a lot better so i’ll link it. But I’ll leave you with a thought from that review. There is no difficulty setting in the game or in life, that makes forgiving someone easier. While The Last of Us part 2 has flaws mechanically, the story is intricate and painful. It’s supposed to hit you hard emotionally and essentially tether you to Ellie. Amazing story, amazing graphics, 10/10 for me.… Expand

    This is a complimentary story to the first game. While the first game was about the amazing and beautiful things that can come from loving someone, this game is about the awful and horrific things that can come from loving someone. Just because this story isn’t what many fans wanted and was very sad doesn’t mean that it was poorly written.

Joel's behavior leading to his death doesn't match his character from the last game. Yes, I've heard people saying he has let his guard down because he was in safe settlement for 4 years. Dude , who would let the f@cking guard down, follow a group of strangers in a world where murder is a common occurrence. Wait there is more, Tommy knew the place that Abby's friends were staying at the start of the game (the lodge) which means they've been there and had probably marked it down as a clear building with no infected nor other humans. And when they arrive at the lodge they don't question who they are where did they came from, Tom and Joel are just chilling with complete strangers. This is not the first time characters are being stupid or making stupid decisions that could cost there f@cking life. That could be seen also with Abby close at the end of the game where Abby finds a radio and tells a complete stranger her location, her name, that she is a firefly . Moreover back to joel, from the start of the first last of us you could see Joel didn't want to to take any unnecessary risks. I remember this scene from the start of the game before the infection took over the world where Tommy , Joel and his daughter were in a car and Joel didn't want to stop and pick up a family that were in random road alone ,he knew they would be a burden. So don't tell me Joel just changed as character all of the sudden . There a lot more I don't like about the storyline this video is how I feel the storyline should have been : (no linking)

    The gameplay in its core feels like the first last of us with some changes of course ,you can go prone, stealth in grass the AI is greatly improved from their last games. There are some bosses that makes it feel like you are playing resident evil.

    You play half of the game as a character you don't care about, in a side mission that you don't care about, so it gets boring. I was fed up with this side mission and still had to play 5 more hours of uninteresting stuff before getting back to the main story (ca 10 hours total of this side mission, the last 5 was not fun or interesting).

    The game ruins all of the characters from Last of Us part 1, so you don't like any of the characters after finishing. And you feel miserable and angry because the characters you cared about from the first game are ruined - not because of the moral of the story that is told.

    There is a clear statement that Naughty Dog want to tell us thru this game. It is not about lesbians or trans-gender people. That was just thrown in here, totally OK, maybe provokes some people, but does not matter to the main story.

    The main statement is OK, but is so, so poorly executed that you are better of watching a recap, than paying and playing the game. It is a waste of your resources.

    They better not make a part III, I don't want it, I would not buy it.

    The best option is to avoid all about this game, because it ruins the first, great game for you. Play the original one more time instead. That is the best option.    … Expand

My only complaint is that I thought the cult in general was overdone. 20 years into the apocalypse and an entire island of cultists based around a brand new religion happens? Christianity didn't even happen that fast, and they don't make you cut your face to be part of it.… Expand

    As beautiful a game as part one was. The same mix of story development and exploration, stealth combat, and panicky running as before. Not many games make you think this hard about the protagonists’ motives and moral choices. Slightly clunky character movement, but that aside, as near perfect a survival horror game as it’s possible to code.

Те кто ругают геймплей должны поиграть на сложности Survival(там игра раскрывается на 1000%. Бои с людьми из-за ИИ с каждым разом становятся всё интереснее, а новые возможности в сочетании с левел дизайном дают огромный простор для личного опыта. Стрельба(которую на Survival можно только пощупать) сделана очень отзывчиво и крайне жестоко. И ещё повествование выстроено именно так, как это необходимо сюжету и работает в первую очередь именно на опыт игрока и его отношение к тем или иным персонажам. Шум PS4 точно показывает то насколько красиво выглядит игра, а выглядит она шикарно. Самая животрепещущая тема для СНГ это ЛГБТ повестка, которую не зная обо всём что происходило вокруг игры ты даже не заметишь. Атмосферой в игре настолько проникаешься, что иногда за персонажей из записок переживаешь как за второстепенных нпс потому что полностью веришь в этот мир. Насчёт озвучки- играть нужно исключительно в оригинал т.к. ни одна локализация не передаст тех эмоций(а если говорить про русскую не исказит смысл) того что сделали актёры оригинального дубляжа. Песни в этой игре отдельная тема для разговоров т.к. текст этих песен играет на нарратив и является самостоятельным инструментом повествования. Ну и кроме того в игре лучшая реализация гитары в игре не про гитару за все времена. The Last of us Part II настолько хорошо может пробить на эмоции(не только положительные), что иногда этому поражаешься. В заключение хочу сказать, что Нил Дракманн- гений, а вся команда Naughty Dog сделала невероятную работу, которую некоторые обесценивают из-за 1-2 сюжетных решений.     -There is no right or wrong side, everyone is wrong
    -The relationship between Ellie and Dina is not super sexualized as many lgbt + relationships are portrayed in different media
    -The humanization of Abby not putting her as a villain but as an ordinary human being who has normal feelings just like Ellie
    -The clear leveling of Abby, with Ellie, because they both wanted revenge, what differs is that Abby had her revenge but it didn't change anything in her life, she didn't bring her father back, since Ellie realized that taking revenge I wouldn't bring Joel back and that revenge is empty.
    Honestly those who complain about the story clearly did not want to understand or play the game properly. And do not mask your homophobia with meaningless comments saying that the story has holes and is poorly developed, people who have not even played the game want to have an opinion, will play the last the entire us 2 and then give a note.     My emotions were all over the place every step of the way. I have spent the last 24 hours running the ending over and over in my head and I have to say, even though a lot of people didn't like it, it taught me something I wasn't expecting. Oh and the graphics are incredible.

    The story and characters are not for the feint of heart. It is an emotional ride and I think really hits you in emotional ways I haven't felt in a game, even the first one. There are no politics or anything like that pushed into the game, I am not sure what these SJWs and fragile people are saying that. You knew she was a lesbian in the Left Behind DLC from the first game, and it doesn't add or detract from the game honestly, it's just how it is.

    The level design and gameplay is top notch. The story went in a different direction than the first one but it was on point, script was great, the decisions and how it all plays it out is really well done and even if you don't agree with the direction it went I just think it's great story-telling either way.

    If you play it you will be entertained, and mad, and sad, and happy, and everything in between. I don't know why these idiots all got together to **** on an amazing game and easily GOTY, but I guess that's what you get sometimes.

    Para las personas que les gustan los jueguitos, quizás sepan que este ha causado mucha discusión entre fans y entre medios. Salio el 19 de junio y yo lo esperaba con gran animo, sin embargo por noticias antes de su lanzamiento y viendo el manejo en los medios y compañía casi no lo compro, aunque decidí que iba a pasar un rato agradable y dije "al carajillo pillo" (si, así dije) y decidí comprarlo day one (ya estaba preparado desde meses para dicha inversión así que "que diantres"). En resumen y sin llorar: Es tu tiempo y es tu dinero, si eres gamer de los de a deveritas deveritas y no eres niño rata, debes tenerlo en tu colección ALGÚN DÍA (cuando baje de precio, como dije, ES TU DINERO Y ES TU TIEMPO), si te gustó el gameplay del 1, seguro te gustara este, es mucho mejor, CASI NIVEL METAL GEAR SOLID V, asi de bueno es, y sumale los mas impresionantes gráficos, escenarios animaciones, etc. BOOM!). La historia? aaa la historia, es muy atrevida, se deja caer la greña con todo, estructural-mente y en actuaciones es brillante AUNQUE DEBO ADMITIR QUE A VECES LLEGA A SER NO MUY PLACENTERA O INCLUSO CUESTA TRABAJO ENCONTRARLE SENTIDO PERO SI TIENE, USEN SU CABEZOTA. Ciertas decisiones perjudicaron mi experiencia NO EN SI DE LOS LEAKS O EL FINAL (aunque tienen que ver), en verdad todo eso no diré que fue lo máximo pero no tuve ningún problema con ellos, especialmente porque ya iba preparado PISIcologicamente para el madrazo y esos puntos en la historia fueron ejecutados muy valientemente, fue más bien el desarrollo del juego, empieza no en un 10 de 10 sino en un 11 de 10 y con el gameplay, atmosfera y el progreso llega a ser un 12 de 10, y después como a la mitad pasa algo no tanto tanto así en la historia (aunque es la causa) sino más bien en el desarrollo del juego que por lo menos a mi me hizo sentir en un punto de "ir cuesta arriba" porque mucho buen avance que ya tenias ahora cambia y debes mejorar más, es una perspectiva diferente que hay que ser sinceros todos pensamos que odiaríamos, incluido yo, Y FUI EL MAS SORPRENDIDO al darme cuenta que fue bien contado y me hizo sentir cositas que no pensé que sentiría (awwww) sin embargo para ese punto se había vuelto un 7 de 10 y poco a poco conforme transcurría llego a ser un 8 de 10 (y hay al menos un par de momentos en los que llega a ser de nuevo un 11 de 10), LO CUAL ES SORPRENDENTE PORQUE MUCHAS COSAS IMPRESIONANTES Y FREGONAS LAS PUSIERON EN ESA PARTE Y LEVANTO MACHIN, peeeeeero esa decisión en el juego, aunque narrativa-mente brillante, si me hizo sentir algunas cosas negativas de las cuales destacare solo dos: Se volvió más cansado avanzar al punto que ya deseaba que terminara el juego porque todo el impulso del inicio sentí que se perdió, MÁS PORQUE EMPIEZA ESPECTACULAR TAL Y COMO EL MARKETING LO PROMETÍA y después lo que incluyen no es malo como tanto temíamos, de hecho (aunque usted no lo crea) es muy muy bueno pero no tiene tanto octanaje o mas bien FEELING como la primer mitad de este juego, allí sentí el bajón y por eso mismo la segunda razón es que al final ténes una experiencia objetivamente de 9 de 10 pero por alguna extraña razón se siente nuevamente como un 7 de 10, y eso si lo aprecias como el genio con cerebro puti-inteligente que soy yo. Mi primera vuelta la hice en 44 hrs (si, me tome el tiempo de explorar, analizar y pasteurizarlo todo). Por ultimo, me rei mucho de los memes de golf y todavía hay telenovela/drama entre el estudio que lo hizo, la compañía que lo publico, los medios y los fans y eso me divierte mucho y también hay que ver las cosas como son, volvemos a lo mismo, SI ERES GAMER DE LOS GUAPOS si o si tienes que jugarlo pero es tu tiempo y es tu dinero así que esperate tantito porque nadie en realidad le sobra el tiempo o el dinero cuando lo que falta realmente es DESEO, asi que espero que estas palabritas levanten un poquillo el deseo, ya que dinero y tiempo no esperen mucho.    … Expand

    This is easily one of the best games I've ver played, im already on my second play through because I enjoyed it so much the first time. I waited 7 years for this sequel and I am more than satisfied with what I got, which is undoubtably a masterpiece.     Severely lacks game luster after an hour or 2. The combat is severely lacking and feels forced, unlike the first title. Oh and the characters are trash, just kept on dragging the story through the mud and the build up on everything for the past couple years was a waste.

    The graphics and the gameplay is good, but not a lot of improvements compared to the prequal. The writing and story however is the worst I've seen, A lot of meaningless scenes and you are forced to play a character you hate. One of few games where I was glad it's over.

    This is such a great game worthy of being played at least once it has mistakes yeah but not as much as some haters like to put it , this is an cold and gruesome game that will take you on a roller coaster of emotions , and it is so sad that media cannot express their perspective , because they are gonna be were bought .

    I went into this game apprehensively. I was concerned because Troy Baker wanted us to have an "open mind" going in. That's usually code for you're not going to like what you see here.

    Surprisingly, when the game started off I didn't have any issues with it. However, it soon became apparent that Naughty Dog and Neil Druckmann had a scratch to itch with this game's story, characters be damned.

    Neil has gone to Twitter and said that they won't pander to the fans of the original game, which is fine. Tell the story that you want to tell. If you want to tell a dark story, then do so creatively. If you want to take these characters on a journey into the pits of hell, then do so creatively. If you want to discuss how revenge makes monsters of us all, then do so creatively. What you don't do, is give us this story that is so amateurish in its execution that it was genuinely a chore to slog through.

    It's almost as if ND engineered this story from the end and worked their way backwards. How do I get the characters here? Oh, well this has to happen and that has to happen regardless of whether it makes any sense or not. The plot should serve the characters not the other way around. This is why you have multiple characters behave in uncharacteristic ways just so ND can get to where they want to go with their story.

    This same story could be told, even with all of its issues, in a much better fashion. How is it that the last game came out in 2013 and this is the best that they could do? This game's story drags the whole game down. I actually wanted the game to just end when I got to the farm. This wasn't because I thought that would be a good way to end the game. I simply wanted the game to end because I didn't care anymore. As a storyteller, I'm sure that's the last thing you want, but as a gamer I can tell you what I don't want: The Last of Us Part III. Naughty Dog and Neil Druckmann made sure of that.

    I really wanted to like this game. The first game was amazing, a 10/10 experience. I am by no mean a professional reviewer but even by my standards 10/10 scores are extremely rare.    … Expand

Primero que todo el juego en gameplay es una brutalidad, y en gráficos una maravilla, pero aquí hay algo que pesa mas que ambas cosas que acabo de nombrar, que es la historia, porque si la historia no logra conectar con el jugador y lo mayor de todo es que te fuercen a querer una historia que se burla del mismo jugador, creyendo por poco que somos necios, han lucrado con un personaje (Joel) que lo mostraron en cada uno de sus trailers, cuando realmente el personaje no se puede ni jugar y no hace presencia en la historia, yo personalmente digo que este juego es una estafa a la mitad y no compren el juego es mi recomendación porque saldrán estafados por lo que se prometió, y es un problema que le mientan al jugador, al consumidor del producto, no logras ni conectar con Ellie y te fuerzan a querer otros personajes, si no pudiste conectar con Ellie, no esperes que algo más funcione en este juego.… Expand

Menos en historia, no me refiero al final o a la muerte de joel, sinceramente para mi es lo mas acertado que podrían haber hecho después de haber vivido toda la campaña de abby, pero ahí radica el problema y esque la campaña de abby por momentos flojea como la búsqueda de owen, no podriamos a vernos ahorrado esa parte y pasar directamente a él viaje junto a lev, claro aumenta nuestro nuestra manera de empatizar con abby, pero era realmente necesario? Eso es solo por lo que le bajó la nota, fuera de eso el juego es una maravilla visual y narrativente hablando… Expand

    I don’t understand why there are so many 0 scores here. This might not be a masterpiece or as good as part one. But this is definitely a fantastic game, game of the year imo. Lastly, I like Ellie and I like Abby too.

    I believe the mass criticism is quite unfair. I found the gameplay and story very compelling. I understand the disappointment with some of the characters, but that is no excuse to criticize the game just because the game has “politics” in it. Critics can say all they want about how amazing the story telling was, but guess what there are more consumers than critics. It just like plurality vs majority vote rules. I honestly hate this game. The story telling is predictable, no character development, and random people added with no background story? I’m really really disappointed about this game. They really messed up a masterpiece of a game to a clown fiesta. How dare you kill our beloved Joel? Who the **** cares about Abby? Why do do you insist on forcing the consumers playing her, you sick twisted game devs? I’m just so mad right now cause the writer of this game is probably a lunatic.     The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
