    Game play is awesome, BUT if complete lack of choice on a story-driven game, plus forced SJW agenda, is a no go to you, like it is for me, the game is ruined. It looks like a mix of capitalism with pedophilia and necrophilia, which would make the worst of criminals think they did nothing wrong. It is the worst exclusive of Playstation 4 in more than 20 years of history, a sadness and a deep revolt, it affects game USERS, (those who play for real), the last of us part 2 is one of the worst things that 2020 could bring, as if this year was not bad enough… Expand

Not only that, just when Ellie was gonna get her sweet sweet revenge on the woman who killed her guardian who protected her from scavengers, psychopaths and zombies she had a "change of heart" because killing is bad. (Even though she killed literally everyone Abby ever loved and had a friendship with) I don't get how this could be nominated for GOTY. The pure existence of the first game lures those who have tried so hard to avoid it, like me. Now I can pass off a warning. DO. NOT. BUY. THIS. GAME.… Expand

Spent hours saving a character only for them to die regardless. Ridiculous level of writing. Game is five hours longer than it needs to be. Story is far too chopped up too.
    -I bought this product for full price, and I'm saying there's too much product here. When has someone ever complained there was more than they paid for? Isn't that ridiculous? No interest in replaying it, ever.
    -Smug and sneering 'you just don't get it' fanbase, accussing anyone with legitimate qualms of being threatened by a girl with muscles. GIve me a break. I don't give a **** about that. I care that she's a vanilla, milquetoast character and so is the rest of her love triangle, whose names I only remember, unlike the rest of the new cast, because they were that notably boring as characters. There are more cut scenes and walking than actual gameplay. SPOILER ALERT..... they destroyed all of your favorite characters. They dumb down Joel's character on purpose to make him weak and stupid. In the first game he was very smart and had a ton of experience. He didn't even trust a guy that was sick on the road. He chose to run him over. Later we find out that stranger on the road was not sick and it was all a set up. They do everything to make you dislike Joel and continue to spit on him. They have a trans female/male shoot him in the leg and torture him with a golf club right in the first 2 hours of the game. They spit on him literally. They made Ellie unlikable and a selfish human being. She kills everyone and continued to blame Joel for saving her life. She cared so much in saving humanity because she has the immunity but instead she became a lesbian and chose not to reproduce. Let that sink in. She even let's Abby the one that tortured and murdered Joel in front of her get away with it. Abby also bit off two of Ellie's fingers. Her letting Abby go is basically saying Joel deserved dying. A loveable character who is the main character of the game. There was no justice for Joel. This game robbed everything from you just for shock value. The current narrative of destroying the male character to make the female character rise is very weak story telling. It is disrespectful to both genders. Females even hate it. Worst of all the pacing of the story is horrible. You literally play as Abby the character we hate for half the game. They tried so hard to make us like her but none of it worked. This game is a waste of time and money and should have never been created as a sequel. The critics are liars and they don't care about what the fans want. They only care about their political narrative and force you to like something that you will never accept. Then they insult you by calling you names because you don't like the product they are praising. They are the worst kind of human being. Trust the gamers that actually love playing the kind of video games you like. Those are the ones who you should listen to. Vote with your wallet and avoid this dumpster fire. Why care for a game created by a studio that is run by Neil Druckmann who is a male feminist and does not care about the fans and the people he works with. That's why 75 percent of Naughty dog left the company due to how he treated them. This game is created by people that don't care about you and backed by people that hate you.     Every fan from the first time has every right to be upseat about how crappy the second game is compared tho the rly good first game which we grew to love and hyped the **** out of us.     Se que hay personas que creen que calificar a este juego con 0 no es lo más adecuado porque tiene graficas y dinámica excelentes pero, para mi, si la historia es una falta de respeto que te deja un sabor no amargo, alquitrante en la boca dañando todo lo bueno que sentimos en el primer título, si se merece un cero.

    En lo que a mi respecta, este juego nunca existió, Solo fue una pesadilla desesperante que espero borrar de mi memoria. Al personal de Naughty Dog y sobretodo a Neil Druckmann, si no van a hacer nada para arreglar el desastre que hicieron y siguen insultando la inteligencia de los fans mintiendoles y diciéndoles homofóbicos ignorantes.
    Nunca se van a poder redimir. Lamentablemente The Last of Us 2 va a ganar cómo el mejor juego del año ignorando las reseñas de miles de fans enojados y decepcionados porque a esta industria solo le importa el dinero.

Apart from its amazing and eye widening and Jaw Dropping graphics and Ok gameplay The Last of Us Part 2 is a failure at storytelling with everything getting worse and worse. Making you feel utterly empty at the end of the game with everyone practically losing everything and gaining barely anything at all. The Last of Us Part 2 also lied to us in its advertisement for example: Joel is seen and should’ve been alive during game is instead killed brutally and disrespectfully in front of Ellie and our eyes by an overly buff cartoonish woman named Abby who’s father, The doctor at the end of the first game, was killed by Joel who was just saving because who couldn’t lose another daughter and a second chance at being a father. This, apart the Ellie fight when your forced to play as Abby, was probably one the worst things I’ve had to watch and unfortunately play for the sake of this review. Abby although arguably the worst video game character ever created has little character and doesn’t look past her previous actions and the game forces you, for 10 HOURS, too like her this doesn’t work for a number of reasons. 1. She killed Joel brutally in front us, 2. Her backstory is shown way to late in the game which still doesn’t make me care about her in the slightest, and 3. Naughty Dog just makes here arc the same as Joel and Ellie’s arc in first game by having her take care of Lev a transgender boy who was assigned a girl at birth but wants to be identified as boy. Now before we go any further I do not hate trans or LGBTQ people not in the slightest and although this is one of reasons people who like this game believe it’s why people hate it this is not that this is just about what Abby and Lev do in the story. There relationship AS A WHOLE is just, again, Joel and Ellie’s story all over again with it being definitely not as good as the first. Speaking of which let’s go back to Joel for a minute here. Joel is seen in this game as a bad person because he doomed humanity of a vaccine however he did that because he didn’t want Ellie to die he loved to much and any parent would do the same thing If their child was being sacrificed whether they wanted to or not. Plus these immediately went to work on Ellie without giving Ellie a chance to think about saving humanity for a vaccine possibly worrying that if she said no then they probably would’ve forced her to do it anyway. This shows that The Fireflies aren’t what we thought they were they are not good people but really who is there is no good or bad in The Last of Us universe it’s just who’s side we take and which is better and one we are comfortable with. Here they make so that Joel and Ellie are bad people and Abby and her Father were good because they save animals their nice to everyone and whatever even though the game forces you to kill Abby’s dog who you are forced to play with and is also not enjoyable. Also I’m going actually defend those who played the game and didn’t finish it because here’s thing: why are we going to continue playing something that’s just gonna to continue to disappoint us like why would they do that? You could say that’s no excuse or because you can fully understand something if you don’t see the whole thing but this is understandable if you think about it it’s really up to you. Actually let’s now talk about Understanding because a lot of people who like this game say that people who don’t like or hate this game don’t understand but here’s the thing: Just because something is understood and explained doesn’t make it automatically good even if it makes them look dumb or something we still have a right to decide if it’s still bad. I understand the message they are trying to give but I hate that they used The Last of Us Universe and Characters to tell that message because you don’t go from a game that was about “Even in the worst times their is still a chance for hope and happiness.” To then make a sequel about how “Revenge doesn’t solve anything and everyone is horrible.” That’s not how that you should do that it should’ve been about forgiveness and not this overly forced narrative. In conclusion, The Last of Us Part 2 failed at giving us a story and Characters we waited 7 years for to only have be disliked, forgettable, and killed. I honestly hope this games story is remade even if it’s not what we mostly asked for id take anything this dumpster fire of a story.… Expand

    The story however is a complete disaster. Killing one of the most beloved characters from the first game in an awfully disrespectful way is just not the way to go. In general, the story seems to be more focused on achieving certain political goals than actually narrating things that are of common sense.

    The game also contains disturbing sex scenes, which, first of all, makes me uncomfortable, but moreover makes me confused, as they don't seem to serve much purpose towards enhancing the narrative or building characters.    … Expand

But the main part, what we loved, has been totally abused and devasted. I cannot explain how much annoying was to play the part of the murderer of Joel for almost half part of the game and how much disappointed I was at the end when, after to have killed thousands people, there is this forced moral ending. No comment. The success of the last of us part 1 was the love, the love between two persons inside a violent and cruel world. And this love won against everything. In the last of us part 2 they distroyed this love, and they forced us to learn something by a lot of different characters that you never feel yours. I am sorry. It doesn't work.     The gameplay is just as good if not better than the last of us, the story made me want to vomit,
    The characters are unlikable, the beginning scenes turn the uncomfortable levels so far beyond the uncomfortable scenes in the first game there is no return to typical. The entire game is marred by awful uneasiness.
    I didn't believe it was possible to like Negan in walking dead after his introduction but somehow JDM managed to charm his way into a likable character after a few seasons. DO NOT EXPECT THIS OF ABBY! She is unlikable through the entire game and does not once do anything that makes you forget how awful she is and how brutally she killed Joel, You feel physically ill when you actually have to play as her again and hate every moment of it.
    I'm so glad this game has bombed as badly as it did. Maybe we will be lucky enough not to get another one. It's astonishing how badly a developer can drop the ball on a franchise.    … Expand

They completely destroy the characters and setting you loved, and try to shove down your throat horrible new characters that I not only don't care about but despise. But with all the review bombing that's bringing the score up Im trying to balance it out. This game was very disappointing with how they decided to go with the story. You only enjoy playing the first few hours until your beloved character gets killed by one of the characters you sill be forced to play as for the rest of the game. This game was an absolute piece of garbage despite it having a beautiful scenary and accessible gaming features. Had the story been properly written it would desserve a 10 in my books but as it is this game should have never been made and only serves to further other peoples political agenda. Don't buy this game unless you get it from a second person like ebay because it would be better to not give these arrogant jerks (cough cough neil druckman) any more of our moneh.… Expand

    This was a terrible, awful, and disgusting game. So bad I took it to my local gun club and all the members at the club shoot it to pieces with 20/12 gauges. The story is awful, the fandom is toxic waste, and the mechanics/performance are about as good as fallout 76
