    Well if this continued to Part 3. Just make Ellie have a son named Joel, and back to the main story with Ellie Vaccine, there so many country in this World, no way that there is no another doctor, well in the TLOU 1 said 60% people in this world already been death (Well they turn into zombies actually), make the story that Ellie will be fight again with Fireflies to get her for the vaccine

    That in no media they dared to say the name of one of the protagonists, since they knew that she would be responsible for all the aforementioned controversy. It is more than clear that those ten were not given in an honest way. I'm fine with a depressing, sad, and dark story. But Joel didn't get treat right in this game buy absolutely getting clobbered with a golf club by Abby. Leading to his death, and you have to play as Abby, the antagonist for over 10 hours... WTF NAUGHTY DOG!?!?! Aren't you supposed to try to kill the antagonist? Instead you play as her for half of the story. And the ending sucks because you don't even get to kill Abby at the end.… Expand

    the story was mediocre, purposeless, depressing and uninspiring. Why Debbie needs to go through all that trouble for only one medical box? Why Ellie loses her family, home, fingers and ability to play guitar for nothing ? The fans don't like to play as Debbie, the character who killed Joel.

    the fans want to see the world of Ellie and Joel progressing. I expected the story to be much bigger with greater purpose. World changing. Ellie and Joel could have found a way to cure the infected and kill the virus. Rebuild the cities, or search for a place with no infection. Found the origin of the virus and what caused it.

The flaw is I have no idea who Abby is nor do I have any reason to care about her.

    Abby exists seemingly just to have a muscle-bound female character in the game. This is so out of place in a world that has fallen 25 years before and her reason to travel 2000 miles is to kill one guy.

    It is so obvious that the only reason she is this way is to be representative of the trans community which is so blatantly forced onto you that the game actually has another character that is trans. I'm all for inclusiveness but there are better ways to be inclusive than this ham-fisted way of storytelling.

    The game looks great but the story is about as fun as watching paint dry in real-time. It is the truest form of revenge porn. You will kill people and dogs in ways that by the time you get to the end you are completely desensitized to violence and so don't care at all.

    Lastly Neil Druckmann has completely butchered the characters that you have loved since 2013. So if you liked the old cast just play the first game.    … Expand

    The reason The Last of Us Part I was so well-received was because no one could say who among the characters was in the wrong or who was in the right. It was that excellent ambiguity between good and evil that intrigued the players. Some would think Joel did the right thing; some would say what Joel did was selfish. The Last of Us Part II, however, took this intricate and delicately woven storyline and changed it into brute, insensitive propaganda that constantly tries to “enlighten” the players. Before, there was no right and wrong answers; now, Neil Druckmann’s answer is the right answer and the game doesn’t even try to hide that. He mistakes himself for sitting on the moral high ground and thinks the players need to be educated. Naughty Dog should stay in its lane of a game company instead of being political, and stop trying to lecture the society of being kind to others when it can’t even care for its own employees to the extent that 70% of them in a department left before the release of the game.    … Expand

As a standalone work, the story is poorly structured, predictable in all the worst ways, and bloated. However as a sequel to the Last of Us, it is simply insulting.

    Throughout this game, all three of the returning main characters from the Last of Us will be mutilated, disfigured, or unceremoniously killed. They will make choices that not only seem inconsistent with their characters from the previous game, but also inconsistent with their own motivations within this game. The supporting cast is a parade of forgettable new characters who are violently traumatized, or abruptly killed and discarded.

    The narrative structure is a mess of unnecessary flashbacks, flashbacks within flashbacks, pointless drama, and personal subplots that go nowhere. The story is blatantly designed to shift our sympathy towards our new protagonist, Abby, and her supporting cast. However, not only does Abby mutilate and kill our favorite characters from the first game, she is also a sadist who delights in the torture and degradation of her enemies, expresses excitement at the idea of killing a pregnant woman, and has sex with her ex boyfriend who is married and has a baby on the way with Abby's other friend Mel. These acts make her completely unlikable, and make the contrived "redemption arc" of her story feel unearned and unbelievable.

    All in all, this game is a boring, bloated slog, with characters that feel hollow and a plot that could best be described as laughably depressing. It destroys the protagonists that we know and love while offering nothing of value to replace them.    … Expand

    Zum Ableben von Joel:
    Beim ersten zusammentreffen rettet Joel Abby das Leben und dennoch wird sie Joel töten, obwohl sie dadurch mit ihm quitt sein sollte. Schon der Anfang dieser Story ergibt keinen Sinn. Joel ist nicht mehr der den wir kennen, er wirkt in dieser Fortsetzung ziemlich weichgespült. Joels Charaktereigenschaften im ersten Teil sind: Geplagt vom Tod seiner Tochter Sarah, macht er alles was getan werden muss um zu überleben, war selbst schon ein böser Junge, traut keinem u erkennt schnell Gefahr, (besonders durch andere Menschen) fühlt sich verantwortlich für die Menschen die ihm was bedeuten, ist misstrauisch u unverwüstlich. Nun in Teil 2: Blauäugig, verweichlicht, bedauernswert u auch sonst das komplette Gegenteil von dem was ihn einst ausgemacht hat. Bei ihm läuten nicht mal die Alarmglocken wenn er auf eine größere Gruppe Fremder trifft, die mit Militärfahrzeugen u Ausrüstung vor seiner Stadt sind ohne den Grund für ihe Anwesenheit zu kennen. Wie ist Abby überhaupt mit einem Fahrzeug den langen Weg zu Joel gekommen? Alle Straßen in diesem Spiel sind kaputt o blockiert. Tommy lädt diese Fremde sogar in ihre geschützte Stadt ein um "Vorräte aufzufüllen" Wie naiv wurden die Brüder hier gemacht? Joel wird ins Bein geschossen. Ellie kommt dazu, richtet aber nichts aus weil sie ihr Überschungsmoment nicht nutzt. Das sind -1 Intelligenz für ihre Charaktereigenschaften. Auch Ellie ist nicht mehr dieselbe wie im ersten Teil. Die junge Ellie war mutig, rebellisch, auf einzigartige Weise schräg, sarkastisch, liebenswert und direkt. Die erwachsene Ellie ist nur noch eingeschnappt, aufdringlich u zornig. Man hat die persönlichen Eigenschaften der Charaktere komplett ausgetauscht. Abby hätte an diesem Punkt auch Ellie u Tommy umbringen könn. Damit würde man zumindest verhindern das man verfolgt wird. Aber Naughty Dog hat sich entschieden, diese beiden Protagonisten so langsam u leidvoll zu zerstören, wie man es sich nie hätte vorstellen könn...
    Ich könnte noch weiter auf die schlechte Story eingehen, aber das würde den Rahmen sprengen, daher mein Fazit:

    Das hier ist so eine Geschichte die einst gut angefangen hat u dann schlecht weiter erzählt wurde. Wie z.B. bei Star Wars. Die Story fühlt sich an wie schlechte Fanfiction die von jemanden geschrieben wurde, der den 1. Teil gehasst hat. Warum hat man überhaupt etwas so ausgelutschtes wie Rache hier thematisiert, wenn es im 1. Teil um etwas wesentlich interessanteres geht: Verlust. Man hätte etwas tieferes von diesem Game erwarten können.    … Expand

    i finished Playing TLOU 1 and Jumped immediately on TLOU 2. & let me say the graphics are phenomenon & the combat was next to none. but like many things that GO WOKE the story failed. At the time of the announcement of the game in 2016, i was still delighted with this, and waited for the release of the game, periodically replaying the first part. knowing how they like to post various rumors, I avoided all information about the game in order to dive into the game on my own. Вторую часть игры играть вовсе не хочется, персонажи не раскрываются персонажам абсолютно не сопереживаешь. Не раскрыта история противостояния псов и шрамов, почему они противостоят, что у шрамов за женщина идол. Я ждал игру по полюбившимся мне персонажам из первой части. Я принял смерть Джоэла но не так глупо и бездарно, а потом пихать его в шлешбэки так себе занятие. Я как и большинство геймеров принял бы игру если бы история Эбби была рассказана в начале что бы мы могли ей проникнуться и понять ее желание отомстить. Да и смерть Джоэла можно было бы обыграть поинтереснее и где нибудь в середине игры. А так оценка 2 за сильнейшее разочарование. Поду перепройду первую часть и успокоюсь.… Expand

    Es el peor juego que he tenido la desgracia de haber jugado, no puedo creer que hayan creado esta historia de porquería, tenian todo para haber hecho felices a todos pero no!!     When your video game doesn't get a SINGLE negative review from a critic, that's a major red flag. It's indicative of the fact that no one is actually stupid enough to believe you didn't already pay them off to put you in the spotlight.

    As for the game itself, absolute trash. Let's take one of gaming's most beloved anti-heroes and have him die in the dumbest way possible to some politically-correct she-hulk, and... just... good lord. I don't even know how else to put it. I thought this game was supposed to be about zombies and surviving, and finding new communities, and rekindling lost relationships. Instead you turned it into political commentary.

    Also the ending of the game is a freakin joke. Like one final kick in the balls from a developer that hopefully 'wins' worst company of the year.

    Save your money. If you think this game is good because it has 10,000 more positive than negative, then you're clearly not thinking straight. This game wouldn't be worth purchasing unless it was 50 cents.    … Expand

But for me, none of that matters without a great story, and the story here SUCKS big time! They - meaning Mr. Druckman, Made me play the antagonist for half of the entirety of the game! They tried to make Ellie the bad guy now, Then, as if it was not bad enough, at the ending made me FEEL bad about playing Ellie! Even after Abby killed Joel, she had the happy ending while Ellie was left with nothing! How could that even be called a "good" ending?? MAYBE if this was the first game, then I wouldn't be rooting for Ellie as much as I did. But it isn't, this was PART 2! I have come to love Ellie and Joel, then this game just KILLED Joel at the onset, then at the end, made Ellie the antagonist at the end. I couldn't give this the score critics gave after playing it through and more importantly, I DID NOT HAVE FUN at all playing as Abby. I wouldn't pre-order this game if I had known they would do this to Ellie and Joel, and the story just plain sucks. It wasn't an experience worth $50. I wasn't happy and contented in the end.… Expand

    The story; the special thing about the last of us, is bad and it has a lot of twists that have no explanation that feel forced in the story. There is no character development, and somehow they just change in a matter of second to make weird decisions without any background on how they came up with that decision.

We are in TLOU 2 in part 49 (skipping several) and I am not going to finish it, it hurts too much. Zudem ist das Ende (und meiner Meinungen nach fast das gesamte Spiel) sehr sehr enttäuschend und unbefriedigend!! Das einzige gute an dem Spiel ist das Gameplay, die Grafik und die Musik. Die Story und die Charaktere jedoch....

    Als grosser Fan von The Last of Us (PS3) und Remastered, kann ich TLOU2 NICHT EMPFEHLEN!!

    (Zusätzlich kommen noch falsche Versprechen sowie Flase Advertising von Naughty Dog hinzu. (Fake Trailer welche die Fans in die irre Führen sollen). Aus diesen Gründen 0 Punkte; nicht weil das Game an sich schlecht ist, sondern weil es nicht das Spiel ist welches Naughty Dog versprochen, angepriesen und vermarktet hat.)

    Ellie gets trapped and tossed about by a bunch burly men. Those same burly men beat the crap out of Abby. JOEL GETS BEAT WITH A GOD DAMN GOLF CLUB. That was the nail in the coffin for this game. Never again. Neil Druckman self inserts himself and even forces you to watch this beastly woman, Abby, have sex with her ex Owen.

    Like WHY??? Not to mention the motion capture for that scene was DONE BY YOU NEIL. DISGUSTING.

    GAMEPLAY
    compared to many action games, the controls and gameplay is the definition of average. nothing interesting, you do not really look forward for fighting anyone or to just enjoy contorls. there is nothing challenging about it.

    STORY:
    it had potential to be something, but the writers seem to believe "graphic violence = deep and real" which is simply not true with TLOU2. Also changing the previous protagonist's personality and how he behaves just to be able to kill him off for political agenda, then giving us a girl with mental issues and 0 personality development made me happy to have played it at a friend's instead of paying    … Expand
