    If you expect the great storytelling like we have in Part 1, DONT!!
    Not sure what happened with the writing, but it feels like the original was directed by Christopher Nolan. And out of nowhere John Wiseau came and took over Part II.
    The Last of Us Part 2 has a really really bad writing, but great graphic, that is all I can say. In Part II you wont find Father-Daughter story anymore,    If you expect the great storytelling like we have in Part 1, DONT!!

The game lacks of consistency, has too many forced events, also trying to make you feel pity for the evil ones, WTF?? Really?!! I could have written a better story for Joel and Ellie for a second part, What is wrong with you guys at Naughty Dog, why didnt you respect basics??

    We all understand you want to add some social troubles to the game, but instead of creating an enjoyable environment, you guys were like, OMG, we do not have any more ideas, what should we do??, Please keep in mind a game is to entertain for hours and hours, and not to educate, if we want some lecture for anything related to our current Society, we either watch news, read books, or go to the school.

    Naughty Dogs, you should really apologize to all of US, and make a solid statement recognizing you really miss the path with the game and after that make an announcement indicating that you all will FIX this crap as it should be properly done, instead of just seating around in your office spending the money you earn with the love we fans have given to you for this franchise. I hope you Neil will never again write, or direct the game, if there is any other game in the franchise as you and any other writer for this game chapter II, has played as backstabber for the fans of this game.

    Do you know how much we were expecting this game just be let down by "this creative team"? and you do not act like grown ups, accepting the screw up the game and you should apologize and re do it properly.

    I just can't believe it how is it that you took so long to do this game, if this story has so much lack of consistency. I hope honestly that you can fix the game somehow, and re do chapter II even if it takes 3 more years, we fans would be glad to play something descent instead of this "whatever piece of art you want to call it".

    The only good fact on the game were the new people with the fungus,,,, outside that, I just want to cry of the deep deception I have now after playing the game.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I was one of the few that ignored the leaks and spoilers as best as I could. I cannot believe the hatchet job that was done to my favorite game of all time. Killing Joel was definitely a message against the “patriarchy” as at the end you dont even get your revenge and let the killer go. That was the most anticlimactic ending I’ve ever experienced. Game play was tight and guns felt great but I definitely won’t be replaying like I did the original. They wanted to push an agenda in this game and lost a fan in me. I’m done with naughty dog… Expand

Loved especially the characters. So when the 2nd game was announced and Ellie and Joel where in it I was hyped for this game. I did not get spoiled by those leaks and at first I thought: This game is great! It looks absolutely gorgeous, has so many nice details like the guitar playing. but than the second half of the game happend... where I was forced to play as the antagonist **** that killed my favorite game character of all time.... I hated every second i had to play abby! just run through the levels without collecting or talking to anyone. I wanted to play Ellie again... wanted "my" revenge. I hoped for a God of War like sequence where you can smash the punching button till eternity but noooo.... Abby gets away after she almost killed Ellie... the game was advertised as an revenge story!!! Great revenge Story without delivering in the End... Jesus Christ! Never in my life was i so disappointed and straight up enraged by an "Entertainment Medium"
    So when the Naughty Dog Logo appeared after the game ends all i could shout out was FU!
    I literally singed up here just because i wanna write a negative review for this piece of garbage! Naughty Dog took a huge dump on my Favorite characters and i Hope they get ALL of the **** out there! A god damned **** Hurricane!    … Expand

The story could have been better but for what we got it was good but lasted to long and should have ended sooner then it did.     For the love of god do not believe the glowing 10/10 reviews...this game at its absolute best is a 6/10, bu this game loses the rest of the points based on how the score has been artificially inflated lately.

    This game had tremendous potential to be really great, unfortunately Naughty Dog is washed up these days and fired all their competent writers, Sad. It took me ages just to finish this game because of how boring it was.

Mala historia, se cagaron en todo lo que hicieron en el primer juego, el juego tenia demasiado potencial para hacer una buena continuación, tanto tiempo se espero para la segunda parte pero lo unico que hicieron fue obligar a la gente a hacer cosas en el juego que no querian, a parte de arruinar a todos sus personajes haciendo quedar a Ellie como una loca por todo lo que hizo durante su "venganza" que nisiquiera se concluye al final y aun asi lo pierde todo, matando a Joel como si fuera el villano por su decision de salvar a Ellie en el primer juego cuando el mundo le arrebato a su hija y a Tommy lo hacen perder la cabeza al final deconstruyendo totalmente lo que era, poniendo palabras que nunca diria, incluso en el principio del juego se puede ver que no quiere que Ellie vaya por Abby porque quiere protegerla, realmente una basura.… Expand

Just because you go for something unconventional and divisive and sad ending doesn't automatically make your game better. There are time and place more suitable to do those things.     If this was a random game or the first one in the series, no one would have cared about revenge cycle theme, it would probably make a compelling story with all the characters having first time introduction to players. But when you have a well established characters from first game loved by everyone, people expect them to be treated with respect, they want to see more of them and a story centralized towards them and their life experience, not some random ass character killing the characters you were looking forward to playing and preaching about revenge cycle. Sure that would get you shock factor doing something opposite of what everyone wanted to see. But thats what you went for so dont cry about getting polarizing reaction either    … Expand

    This game was so disappointing. I thought the first one was bad, but this has set a new standard. Considering selling my PS4, so glitchy and Nintendo have upped their game. I think I’ll give Nintendo a try.

    I respect all of the hardwork made by the developers but sadly they went down with the story.
    I understand all of the sides of the people here. But every other else just had their own taste. This latest installment of TLOU just gave me a long lasting bad taste tho.     Will I replay this ? No.

    I can't describe how disappointed I am with this game. The sounds and visuals are great, but to me that's all secondary. I expected this game to be a perfect sequel of the first one, but the story failed big time and it was nothing but an extremely long and boring torture. I feel scammed.

Finishing that game was one of the best experiences I ever had. Needless to say, I was hyped for it's sequel. Waited years for it. I don't know if some of the plot decisions made were purely for shock value or if some other reasons were involved as well. But the story was horrible. The new characters were bland and uninteresting. The old ones were out of character. The plot twists did not make any sense. A mess of a story.

El problema no es la temática que aborda ni la agenda ideológica, el verdadero problema es que se contradice con el desarrollo y estructura del primer TLOU, te fuerzan a jugar con un personaje que se contradice en su trama, saben que odias a ese personaje por lo que hizo y te imponente su historia con la intención bde que le tomes apreció ese es el problema, también ellos dan un final horrible y más haya del mensaje que quieren dar, decepcionan con la experiencia del jugador, hay partes de relleno, no se siente que hayan pensando en los consumidores sino solo en su propósito egoísta una basura de juego nada recomendable… Expand

The protagonists of the first game exist here only to be killed or destroyed for some reasons. Manipulative section to make you feel sorry for the villain. New characters are not interesting at all.

In stories weather it be books, movies, video games, or any format of entertainment, the thing that drives people to continue watching is the fulfillment of promises that are implied to the consumer. This game not only breaks the promises they make, but the plot is seriously inconsistent, forgetting about promises that have been made entirely; leaving the consumer with this feeling of emptiness. Not to mention, the character arcs are just piss poor writing basically being non-existent. Outside of the writing and story, the game follows has a very dated gameplay system and combat system. It feels primitive at times, even borderline inorganic. To me, this is unacceptable in a triple A studio with the amount of manpower that naughty dog has. The world is beautiful, and the graphics are incredible, but it's overshadowed by lazy story writing, and some message (that isn't even clear by the way) being crammed down your throat. I'm not talking about the LGBT stuff, I couldn't care less about that, there are plenty of fantastic television shows/movies/books that have awesome characters that are LGBT, the problem happens when you make a character LGBT for the SAKE of having an inclusive character. Smh, everyone can tell. You can try to ignore it, but it's like having a scratch you can't quite itch. Why? Because it's forced! If you have a screw, you're not going to pound it into a wall with a hammer, that doesn't make any sense. It's the same thing as characters in any form of entertainment. The characters MUST be consistent with the setting. Your characters are your driving force in whatever plot archetype you've decided to use. These characters also have archetypes that were inconsistent throughout the entire game. Joel's death makes no sense because he is not trusting of other people, as is demonstrated multiple times in the first game. That doesn't mean that trait can't change, but it was never even hinted towards that Joel has changed in such a way. The whole game gets my gears grinding. I'm also pissed off because of the good reviews the game has received. I don't get it. Genuinely. I'm also mad because metacritic blocked the negative reviews of this game for a time, I'm tired of censorship. So, my 0 comes from the terrible story writing in combination with how naughty dog responded to the negative player reviews. This is my personal protest.… Expand

If a game can be a 10 out of 10 and not perfect, then by the same logic it can be a 0. Characters from the second half of the game were very unlikeable and I could not bring myself to empathise with them no matter how hard I tried. This was due to poor pacing and execution of story elements (Joel's death) early on in the game. Naughty dog decided to take a massive dump on beloved characters, trying really hard to make them unlikeable. This is especially true of Ellie. Pandering and pushing an agenda in a post apocalyptic world was another draw back which I will not get into because it has become a very exhausting issue in recent years.     i dropped this game. Because instead i good visual gameplay is repetative, and the story, heroes is awful, dialogues sooo dummed and whole scenario was written for idiotic childrens.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
