    breaks my heart to write this, but I really did not expect such a poor story after all these years of waiting. While there were a few genuinely good moments, majority of game filled up with plot holes. It just took elements of what worked for the first game without understanding what made them compelling. I feel scammed out of a story that could of been great but was complete dog **** I hate Abby, not cause she trans, but the fact I watched her kill off one of my favorite characters in the game and instead of the game just leaving it at that, it continues to SPIT on me, and I’m forced to play 10 hours of a character, who’s an **** throughout a majority of her play through. And the ending... wtf kind of ending was that, I’m thinking “yes I’m Ellie and now I can avenge Joel by killing Abby” but naw, instead I gotta fight this character in water for like 5 mins and for what?! "Someone" gets murdered, and then you're forced to play the murderer for 10 hours. The gameplay is identical to Part 1, and it's    where to start... trailers lied. The characters are awful, depressing, their faces look like they smelled a fart all the time, no humor, and their actions go against the characters we know. That isn't Ellie. Or Joel, but he's not even really in the game. And the ending is the most meh, disappointing ending that makes you feel like you played something pointless.

    Also, metacritic has repordedly not been leaving your negative reviews, so don't believe that number. It's much lower. The postives aren't having any deleted though. So just be aware.    … Expand

These were wonderful times, because I was really interested in watching the flow of events around the two main characters - Joel and Ellie. I have been waiting for this game for 5 years, really waiting and hoping that it will exceed all my expectations. I bought this game in the very first minutes, as soon as the pre-order became available. This game brought me Heartbreak, bitterness, and so on. I absolutely did not like the plot. Head writer Neil Druckmann tells us about the violence. But where was the violence at the end? Everyone has to pay for their mistakes, but did Abby pay? No, it was Jesse, Owen, Mell, and most importantly, Joel, but not her. The most disgusting thing in this game is to play for this girl, and fight with your favorite characters, who have become a family for us. I paid money for emotions, emotions that hurt me. Also they lied in the trailers making you think Joel would have a much bigger part but nope he doesn’t. **** this game. Very disappointed in their decision with the story and nothing makes up for it or even makes me want to continue playing the game.     Game play was great, mechanics were greats, and the combat was great. Being a linear game that is submerged in its story, it really failed to deliver. Most of it has severe continuity issues as well as pointless plot points. This is the first game from ND that I did not like, and that being an understatement.

With cringey weed sex scenes to killing off all the men and making all the women mary sues checking off every box possible, bi, trans, lesbian, and the only straight woman main character was JACKED and a major **** to her friends.... All the deaths were for shock factor and caused no emotion besides rage towards the developers. NO ONE wanted to play Abby and EVERYONE could tell why they did it which makes for a not very shocking cringey revenge flick with a unsatisfying ending.… Expand

Killing one of the most beloved characters in gaming and then making you play half the game as the person who kills him is a daring move that I admire, but it ultimately falls flat. It just was not executed very well. To be completely honest, I think that this story would've ended better with Ellie being killed off. The backlash from fans would probably be even worse, and the current ending is getting way more hate than it deserves, but in a game that is meant to be depressing and hopeless, I honestly think it wouldn't be a terrible move. Naughty Dog should probably strongly consider making Tlou 3, and yes, they should have Ellie die at the end. It would be the much needed closure that this franchise needs and would help capture the feel of what this post-apocalyptic world really is about. Speaking of this post-apocalyptic world, everything just felt off about it in this game. The first game really felt like the player was doing every thing to survive in this zombie-like outbreak, but in this game the infected seem like they're in the game just because they had to due to the continuity from the first. When I think about this game, I barely even remember that the infected were in it, when they were.... the literal reason for this entire scenario. So is this game a total fail? No. It has some of the best visuals in the history of gaming, and the gameplay (while remaining the same throughout and being almost being a replica of the first game) is still extraordinary and the enemy AI was some of the smartest I've ever seen in a video game. So is the story that bad? For a triple A game, it's very good. For a Last of Us game, it is god awful. Probably my biggest gripe with the story is that this just didn't feel like it was the Last of Us. Ellie, who is my favorite character in gaming history, didn't really even feel like Ellie to me. Everything just felt off in this game, and I think most people agree. So as a standalone game, this game is an 8-10. As a Last of Us game, it is a 3-5. The reviews for this game are absolute nonsense from both sides of the coin. There are tons of people who had in their mind they were going to like the game no matter what, and there were tons of people who were going to hate the game no matter what (mostly because of the leaks.) And yes there are quite a few political points raised in this game; not as many as people make it sound like, but enough to make quite a few people upset, especially when pretty much all of it is completely unnecessary (for example, bigot sandwich.) The lgbt+ representation in this game is something almost unheard of in very popular games, so yes, a lot of lgbt+ people are going to be a little more inclined to say this game is very good. On the other side, you have people who do not like the lgbt+ representation, so they will be more inclined to say the game is not very good. In conclusion, while this game tries to be something to be more special than it is and comes across as a little pretentious, and has a somewhat lackluster plot, it's still one of the best games out there, and most of the reviews (good and bad) are biased. But as a TLOU fan, I was extremely disappointed.… Expand

    Most critic reviews speak little about the game itself and a lot about how "Politically brave" it is. My god has the gaming industry fallen low.

    This game is horrible. Terrible writing to the point I can only think of it as a parody of the former game.

Este juego me ha decepcionado, la historia es sumamente mediocre, la muerte de joel no tiene base alguna, este juego descarta completamente los eventos del juego anterior, El juego quiere que empaticemos con un personaje con un trasfondo histórico de 10 minutos como lo es Abby, el desarrollo de los personajes no tiene sentido, vemos a un Joel súper confiado siendo que en la primera parte no confiaba en nadie, una Ellie resentida con Joel, el ser que más ama en el mundo en la primera parte, cuando matan a Joel deciden dejar viva a Ellie, cosa que no tiene sentido, pues ella es un obvio cabo suelto que buscara venganza.

    y ese es solamente el inicio de los males de este juego, la jugabilidad se vuelve repetitiva, muchas de las horas en el juego son literalmente relleno y resultan desesperantes, como los generadores y puertas en seattle, las largas marchas a caballo y la falta de una correcta dirección al jugador a través del mapa, lo que hace exageradamente fácil el perderse.

    Volviendo a la historia, el final del juego es totalmente inaceptable, Ellie, luego de abandonar a Dina y su bebe, de matar a medio mundo a sangre fría, al final del juego se pone sentimental y perdona a Abby por literalmente matar a la persona que más ama, algo que es un total sinsentido puesto que literalmente viajó por meses para encontrarla y mató muchísima gente por todo el camino para poder vengarse, pero al final decide arrepentirse y volver con Dina, para encontrarse que esta no estara mas en su vida, quitándole absolutamente todo el sentido a los eventos tanto del primer como del segundo juego, Habrá quien diga que las malas notas que recibe este juego se deben a la homofobia o intolerancia, pero no tiene nada que ver, la historia en si misma es la que esta mal, si la homofobia fuese la causante de las malas criticas, left behind no tendria 7.5 en esta misma plataforma, no justifiquemos a las compañías, lo que paso con este juego es simple y sencillamente inaceptable.    … Expand
