    The plot seems as if it was writen by a 14 year old teen with mental disorders, killing here and there without sense, trying to colocate the player in a harsh post apocaliptic time but breaking the immersion every time with the poor cohesion.
    Killing Joel to make Ellie grow up at full is one of the most mediocre resources this game brings up.
    Abby is a flat, dull and pathetical character.
    Her reasons to act lack of deepness.

    Violence bears revenge, is the game's mantra.
    Yet still it splashes you that violence in a way that you get fed up.    … Expand

    While this game may have a flawed story (that was ruined for everyone when the leaks happened), everything else about this game is just fantastic. The gameplay, level design, music, graphics, etc. are all top notch. Some of the levels, like the sniper level or the first time you encounter Stalkers, are gonna stick with me for a while. When you hear a leak about something that happens, it's not the same as watching it all play out. Actually playing the game(something half these detractors clearly never did), everything seems a lot more reasonable and realistic. And no, Abby isn't trans. If you play a GAME for the GAMEPLAY, and especially if you liked the first game, you'll love playing this. Besides for the controversial story, everything has been improved from part 1.… Expand

    10/10 and game of the year, very nice move to feel Abby's perspective and understand there is no good and bad side. Graphic and gameplay also awesome and the last of us world is a masterpiece.

    The game is simply amazing and a step up from the first. It grabs you by the nuts and never let's go..

    I re-played TLOU1 recently and still loved the game. it's successor well, my first impression in terms of game play was that not much had changed.     I've not completed the game yet but so far the story line feels really out of sync, this maybe intentional but, IMO, it just doesn't work well. It feel like they either couldn't quite decide which way to go with the story or just got lost and rushed it. I doubt the latter as they had loads of time to polish. Graphics and sounds were good.     Os gráficos são medianos, nada de especiais pois já vi gráfico muito melhor em jogo de início de geração e que não possuem o framerate tão quebrado como    Uma da piores sequencias do PS4. Joel's inability to trust people and their motives, are what kept him and his loved ones alive, he lived as well as he would die by the guidelines he set for himself in order to survive in a hostile world where anybody is susceptible to malevolence. This is seen practiced in Joel's and Ellie's journey across the country. In the 2nd game, Joel is transformed into somebody who is virtually unrecognizable by allowing his trust to put him and his brother in immediate danger, and this wasn't subtle in the least, not only did he agreed to follow Abby into her lodge where there were other people with motives unbeknownst to him but he didn't even question himself nor the assailants intentions, he acted through a persona that goes against everything he is. Furthermore, it just gets comical to the effect of even giving them his name and where they live.

    Ellie's demeanor is dubbed down as a linear character with no nuance or growth, she has a single narrative, and that is *Kill Abby* nothing else matters, and you see this unfolds as she mows down dozens of men and women with no hesitation in order to get what she wants, this also goes against Ellie's principles that are apparent in the first game as well. The rest of the cast serve no relevance to what is going on around them, they could've easily still made the game without the excess of characters, and it wouldn't have affected the game's main story at all. Abby has to be the worst written character in all of gaming history, she shows no regrets, not once does she reflect on her actions, I've seen enough dateline and crime shows to see that Abby shows every characteristics of a sociopath, lacking any empathy for the people she's killed, there's no relatable trait that makes me care for her as a person because she doesn't have any, and forcing the player to play as her for the entirety of the 2nd half of the game is unforgivable. Number 2: The story.

    The story in this game feels so redundant because it never gives the player the ability to sit and fathom what is going on, so the experience and the impact the game tries to express through its shock value, feels empty and drained of any context of what its trying to convey to the player, the message is drowned out by forced plot points that excruciatingly drags on just to arrive at no conclusion, the only saving grace the game's story had to cling on was the climax, and that was snuffed out by having Ellie save Abby's life (Her father's murderer and a sociopath) just to then let her walk away. The game lost it's inner core of what it was supposed to be about: THE **** ZOMBIES, in this game they were just there as props to serve a mundane and pointless narrative in revenge.

    Number 3: The politics.

    If you go back far enough, you'll see these subtle hints being expressed by the actions and words Niel has used, for instance: Neil Druckmann was doing a conference where he was suggesting that multiple gaming developers were sexist and part of the "problem" by allegedly monopolizing women's sensuality for profit. That alone gives you the impression of what Niel Druckmann assumes about the gaming community and developers of being a bunch of sexist pigs who looks at women no more than sexual objects for our desires and profits. He hired a transgendered individual because of his/her sexual identity and not because of his/her experience and performance, that is in itself the ideal irony in all of this, because what he assumes about the gaming community, is true of what HE IS, looking at people only through the lens of dirty politics and not for who they are as individuals, what only matters is what group they belong to. Number 4:The Controversies.

    Neil and naughty dog with sony, used a company called "Muso" to find and strike independent gaming journalist on youtube, for even muttering any hints at the game's leaks, multiple channels were susceptible in losing their careers over something so damn trivial, because Neil can't stand having dissonance being discussed about his overly pretentious game. I'll end with this: People loved The last of us because of how easy it was to relate to Joel and Ellie's story, the zombies were there for a purpose, everything and everyone in the game served a purpose and a meaning, and all of it was served masterfully as a complimentary to Joel's and Ellie's development as characters and their story.     Gameplay mechsnics are ok, comparable to other popular games (days gone, assassin's etc) so this is like all other games. But the thing here that we as a players wanted was story. And the story and emotions behind it is just BAD.

    Pero como fanático del primer juego. (Amé la primera parte) El desarrollo de la historia me ha parecido horrible. Entiendo y comprendo la muerte de uno de los protagonistas. (Hasta la justifico) pero me pareció absurda, la forma en que está, fue llevada acabo. (Hubiera preferido un final más épico: Un sacrificio, una redención)
    Hay una escena de pelea, en donde casi apago la consola, para no saber más del juego. Una escena que me fastidio toda la experiencia. Ver a Ellie tan indefensa, tan herida me rompió el corazón. He de confesar que sentí empatía con Abby, estoy convencido que hubiera sido un personaje apreciado y querido, si está no hubiera acabado con uno de los protagonistas.

Un gráfico espectacular (como pueden llegar a esta calidad gráfica en esta generación?) no me imagino como se verá en las consolas de nueva generación. La jugabilidad de 10. Increíble que pudieran mejorar una experiencia que ya era casi perfecta. Lo mejor de todo, la historia. Este juego te hace llorar, gritar,Simplemente perfecto. El mejor juego y la mejor secuela de todos los tiempos.     This game is **** depressing.

    Pros:
    - Better gameplay mechanics
    - Better Grapichs
    - World building
    - Music

    ---Ellie Stuff---
    - Car chase scene with Jesse and Ellie
    - Chasing nora through spores.
    - Seraphite patrol and infiltration
    - Exploring Seatle with Dina
    - Every single Joel and Ellie flashback
    - Last stretch with Ellie in California Santa barbara

    ---Abby Stuff---
    - Entire story arc with Abby and the scars
    - Abby bossfight with mutated infected
    - Running through Haven with horse
    - Runnning away from infected.
    - Forest escape

    Cons:
    - Joel is stupid apparantly in this game
    - Joel dies
    - Joel has like 15 minutes of screentime

    - The story is Ellie going for revenge and kills all the friends of Abby
    but then doesnt kill the one person she needs to kill because she gets a flashback of Joel.

    - Poorly executed story
    - Pacing of the story.

    - It tries too hard to force the player to feel for Abby
    It succeeds in a way but again in my opinion it feels poorly executed.

    - Abby flashbacks were not intresting.
    (Only one that matters are the first one where you see her with her dad
    + her seeing her dad dead by the acts of Joel)

    - Ellie lost everything. I dont know what to feel about this
    - Dont know what to feel about Abby as a part 3 runner. (makes sense if they go for a cure plot again)
    - Dont know how to feel about them killing of Joel in a way that is super disrespectful.
    - Ellie gives everything up but then saves Abby and Lev, therefor letting Ellie do one good thing at the end of it.

    Conclussion: Im gonne play the game again with gamemode + and just re-expierence it but not instantly. Ill replay it eventually. This game is super mixed for me. I dont like the pacing of the story but the main message is there and is told in a way that is ok but I still think its poorly executed and should have been better. The cycle of revenge and how violence is never the answer is the message. Part 3 is probably going to happen with Abby and Lev making it to the fireflies. And the only logical thing I could see happen in part 3 is Abby and Lev talking to the fireflies about Ellie and the cure and searching her to get the cure done. Ending the game with humanity restored. Or they leave it like it is now. With Ellie losing everything in her life. But for me part 2 was one of the most depressing games ive ever played.    … Expand

    TLoU2 is simply one of the best gaming experiences ever. Hands down. A lot of people are up in arms about certain elements of the plot, but in my opinion, they are completely off-base with their assessment. The game does throw some major curveballs at you that are very hard to digest, causing an emotional impact unlike anything experienced in gaming thus far. If anything, the negativeTLoU2 is simply one of the best gaming experiences ever. Hands down. A lot of people are up in arms about certain elements of the plot, but in my opinion, they are completely off-base with their assessment. The game does throw some major curveballs at you that are very hard to digest, causing an emotional impact unlike anything experienced in gaming thus far. If anything, the negative reviews are indicative of the strength that this emotional impact has on people. It makes you feel frustrated, upset, and angry – but that is amazing! It is more akin to the chaos of life, and how simple mistakes can lead to major consequences. These types of feelings are rarely conjured up in a gaming experience, and perhaps that is why people struggle with them, and have difficulty moving through and past them.
    At its core, the game deals primarily with empathy. In a world in which empathy is scarce these days, I applaud Druckmann for digging deep into this subject. By seeing through the eyes of our enemy, the binary concepts of good vs. evil and right vs. wrong disintegrate into a gray area that is more representative of real life; there is always another side to a story. Druckmann poses an ambitious challenge to the gamer: can you shift from absolute hatred and disgust, to a place of understanding and empathy. For some, this was not successful - perhaps they wrote it off too soon. Regardless, you absolutely have to applaud the attempt from a gaming and writing perspective. This game transcends entertainment and lands somewhere in the auteur echelons of cinema and storytelling. Many of the most impactful films in history were not received well at the time of their release, yet when we look back at them with a current day perspective, they are considered ahead of their time and paramount to films that came after. I believe this is the case with TLoU2. Only time will tell.    … Expand

The story choices feel cheap and unearned with the intent to shock and guilt the player with little to no payoff. Graphics and sound are great, animation and accessibility are excellent. However, some of the accessibility options are hilarious, this game ultimately feels made for game journalists who love the smell of their own farts instead of fans of the original.… Expand

    1. Graphic This game's graphic is clean(, the environment, the animation, lighting effects, characters' model quality are gorgeous.

    2. Sound Voice actors did a really good job expressing the emotion(even if it was forced), music is good but not the best.

    3(?). Gameplay It has a variety of ways to kill the enemy in details, hits really felt real and satisfiy, buuuut it kinda get bored after the first few hours, enemies are just too weak, not even hard difficulty can changed this, clunky ai, jump is useless, no real puzzles either, basically just like the first game, and gameplay ain't what the first game is praised for.

    Now......the cons
    1. Story I don't think I have to say more, there are enough reviews and summaries about how much plot holes and bad developments in this game, in conclusion, it totally destroyed what they built in the first game(F all the characters' personality in the first game, cheap flashbacks to consume the fan), and tried to build something stupid and childish enough that exceptionally failed.

    2. Characters I don't give a F about those stupid names being ranted out and unimportant unmemorable blank characters died to make me feel guilty, new characters are either annoying or boring, and they can go out as any way possible and I don't give a damn, good old characters either died or go insaned(characters breakdown), and talked about new characters like abby and lev and that careless pregnant woman, uhhhhhhhhhhhh......at this point, it is kinda amazing how they made them so unlikable, and it ain't because of the political stuff, we had similar story and characters in the telltale walking dead and nobody is against Lee died or clementine being lesbian, we had strong buffed women characters like zarya in overwatch, aloy in horizon zero dawn etc, and no one are against these, so why this game's character sucks? Because they started in a horrendous way by slaughtering the og protagonist, and don't have good story and background to back it up, make people emphasize, those super forced cheap political figures are just the straw that broke the camel's back.

    3. Scenes Some scenes are highly disturbing and the good animation and sounds just make it more uncomfortable, very double standards about censorship.

    4. Ending All you did is for nothing, the killer got away with her little bastard happily ever after cause you are forced to forgive her after killing hundreds of people oh and some dogs to get to her, and you ended all alone with 8 fingers which can't even play the guitar your father figure gave you, guess abby is the real father figure now, right????
    The point of the whole game: reVeNGe bAD yeeeeeeeet~~~~~~and it didn't make up to that point cause in the end tho one revenged(abby) got what she wanted and the one who gave up(ellie) lost everything......seriously, what a JOKE!

Comparing with The last of us 1 you will be very dissapointed. Buy the game if you dont care about history, just gameplay and graphics.

    For those unsure about this, if you loved the first one. You will be amazed how much better this game feels. The brutality, the combat, the stealth, the exploration you was limited in doing on the previous will amaze you.     The story and character development for me was definitely not hard to follow. It's a revenge story and the reasons are very clear.

    Well the game play is very repetitive and I found it at some parts a bit too obvious what happened. Graphics also were nice but on PS4 pro I had several streaming objects that were slowly loading and the film grain made me crazy at the beginning It a 89 :)    … Expand

Characters like Joel are shown to adept and skilled at survival in the first game, skill-fully avoiding an ambush in the early parts of the game showing his many years of experience in his line of work but fails to do that in this game for sake of the revenge plot that they wanted. His death spits in the face of fans who liked him. There's nothing wrong with giving a main character a good death. It can leave a lasting impact like Lee in the Walking Dead or Zak from Crisis Core. Those deaths resonated with fans because it was expertly crafted. This wasn't done well whatsoever.

    The ending makes no sense too, you play through the game killing left and right only to spare the antagonist you were after in the beginning of the game at the very last moment after fighting them. I get that the game wants to do the "revenge is bad" angle but it's done so poorly Ellie's motives make no sense considering what she's done to get there. I honestly felt like it was written by somebody else entirely, somebody with an abysmal writing experience and knows nothing about the writing or the game's characters.

    The gameplay was always mediocre too, nothing that amazing, you might as well watch it on Youtube.
    The only thing redeeming about the last of us is the characters and graphics, the former is done so poorly in this game.

    Never really liked the first game but really don't like this game.
    Don't recommend it, just watch the cutscenes on Youtube if you really have to.    … Expand

    What made the first game phenomenal? Story. It had fantastic characters like Tess, Bill (who was gay) Sam, Henry, David. Fleshed out human characters, evil or not. We had a brilliant character development; Joel bitter after losing Sarah but seeing her in Ellie; a broken, lost girl with a kick ass attitude. The ending was what I call a parents ending. I wouldnt let my child die to save a world that doesnt deserve saving. Id kill to protect my child, like Joel did.

    All that is MEANINGLESS. Its GONE. It is CLEAR that the creative brains behind TLOU did not make TLOU2. Dont buy it. Dont let it taint the first.

    I strongly suggest playing the first game if you haven't already, just to get a better feel for the story. If you just want to loot and shoot, this game might be for you, but unless you can open your heart and see the message Naughty Dog was trying to send, and make us feel, then I can understand why you would pass on this game. Just don't give it a zero solely because it didn't live up to what you built up inside your head all these years waiting for the game.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. TLOU2 es un gran juego. No es un juego de matrícula de honor, pero tampoco es el destrozo que muchos afirman que es. A nivel jugable y técnico es una virgería como pocas ha habido; es simplemente espectacular.

    Ya lo grueso creo que puede venir en lo referente a su historia. En su conjunto, la idea y la historia son muy interesantes. Pero es demasiado largo. Sobra mucho contenido. Hay un problema muy grave llegada la mitad del juego, todos sabemos a qué me refiero, que rompe la narrativa en mil pedazos. Pero la destroza hasta matarla. El cambio de rol del jugador de Ellie a Abby no es lo incorrecto; lo incorrecto es hacerlo en mitad de un clímax. Todo lo construido hasta entonces queda barrido, y es un empezar de nuevo, esta vez con un personaje con el que te están forzando a empatizar (y bueno, lo consiguen). Ya en el epílogo la cosa empieza a recomponerse (epílogo que para mí es lo MEJOR del juego). Y llega ese final que a muchos no les agrada.

    Y creo que esto es, muy sinceramente, porque no han entendido absolutamente nada. Ellie no es Joel. Ellie es una persona que duda. Duda muchísimo. Pero el mundo en el que vive la limita, y o actúa, o muere. No hay más. Pero es un personaje que se replantea cosas. Joel no es así, Joel habría hecho lo que hay que hacer, sin miramientos, porque eso es lo que es y lo que hace. Entonces... No se puede esperar que un personaje actúe como lo que no es aunque tú, querido jugador, sea lo que quieres.

    La historia de Abby tarda en coger forma. Muchas horas. Y a mí personalmente me estaba dando todo igual, pero conforme va avanzando terminas empatizando. ¡Y es que, sorpresa! La historia de Abby y la de Ellie son iguales. La pérdida de figuras paternas cuyo coste emocional y social es muy elevado. Abby la deja marchar. Ellie la deja marchar. El duelo final no consiste en matar, eso no es lo que Ellie quiere al final. Ella demuestra que podía ganar. Que podía derrotar a Abby después de haber sido derrotada en el teatro. Y lo consigue. Vence a Abby. Y la deja marchar como ella la dejó irse en el teatro. Son las mismas historias desde distintos puntos de vista. La muerte no le iba a traer ninguna satisfacción a Ellie, pero sí la idea de la victoria, que es muy distinta.

    Por otro lado, los desarrolladores y creadores no responden ni tienen por qué hacerlo ante los lloros y los llantos de un grupo de delicados ofendiditos. Si no te gusta, lo revendes, o no lo vuelvas a jugar. Pero no exigas un cambio de final. ¿Quién eres tú, querido espectador, para decirle a alguien qué decisión tienen que tomar los personajes? Si quieres contar historias, hazlo, pero las historias de otros creadores son lo que son y punto.

    Me reitero en que es un videojuego con algunos peros muy grandes. Repito que el cambio de perspectiva en mitad de un clímax es demasiado rompedor, en el mal sentido, y puede arruinar la experiencia. A mí casi me la arruina, de hecho. En este aspecto entiendo las quejas y entiendo la casi unanimidad que existe. Es comprensible. Imagínate que juegas a Snake Eater. Te pegas todo el videojuego de un lado a otro asesinando a la Unidad Cobra para ir a por The Boss y Volgin. Y cuando llegas al enfrentamiento final, a ese duelo épico entre Snake y The Boss, de repente se corta el juego y lo vuelves a experimentar desde la perspectiva de The Boss solo para "entenderla". Esto es tremendamente errado. Coge cualquier clímax de cualquier videojuego o película y haz el ejemplo y lo entenderás.

    Pero pese a ello, en conjunto la idea del guion, su desarrollo y su conclusión son muy buenas. No son para nada malas, el problema es que están estirados hasta la saciedad. Demasiado.

    Hay que saber también diferenciar entre dos tipos de videojuegos: los puramente jugables y las historias. Porque parece que más de uno, y hablo de la prensa, se ha olvidado de esto. Hay juegos, tipo Mario Bros. Tekken, Smash Bros., Kirby... que son puramente JUEGO. Es jugabilidad, es entretenimiento. La obra solo quiere que pases un rato agradable. Y después están las HISTORIAS, aquellos videojuegos que, como ficción, pretenden transmitir algo. Una idea, un mensaje. Ejemplos los hay a patadas: Metal Gear Solid, Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, Kingdom Hearts, Dragon Quest... Y como tal hay que evaluar ambos aspectos en conjunto. En un juego de historia esta no puede estar desanclada de la jugabilidad, porque es parte del producto final. Por tanto no entiendo todos los dieces de prensa a este videojuego. Sí, jugable y técnicamente son DE DIEZ Y MÁS. ¿Pero la historia? No. Su ejecución es muy torpe por momentos, aunque en conjunto funcione. Y parece que esto se le ha olvidado a practicamente todo el sector de la prensa del videojuego. Si quieren evaluar lo divertido que es un videojuego de jugar pues que analicen un Kirby o un Mario, que es de lo que van. Pero si van a un videojuego con un trasfondo y un mensaje...     Gameplay is nice and a “normal” progression from the previous one, but nothing to hype about compared to other recent AAA games. The upgrades/perks does add some nice customization of the characters, albeit many of them are useless.

    Story and character developments. Love it. And this is where it seems many are struggling with. TLOU is a dark deadly post-apocalyptic environment where being good/bad or making sense are all nuanced to just survive. Not liking a story because your favorite character gets the axe is as childish as kids crying down on the floor until they get what they want. The story flaws well, focuses on the real unjust world of surviving, and builds well to portray the antagonist circumstances, stripping down humans to the instincts of surviving.

    Bottom Line: it might not be the greatest game ever for you as this is highly personal, but this game is for sure an enjoyable and enriching gaming experience. Tilt on Hard or survivor difficulties opens up a very different gameplay. Ignore the 0/10 kids.    … Expand

    Para mi este juego tiene las 2-3 h mejores del juego manejar a Abby corriendo evitando a los infectados etc hasta el momento culmen de la muerte de Joel. Otra parte que me pareció muy buena es en la que vamos a caballo corriendo huyendo de la ciudad de los Scars en llamas
    Luego nos ponen a Ellie y que se quiere vengar de todos los implicado hasta ahi la trama esta relativamente bien hasta que llegados a un punto donde manejamos a Abby alrededor de 4-5h más de la mitad de esta historia es puro relleno y muy alargada se me hizo muy muy pesada hasta el supuesto final del juego donde nos enfrentamos a Ellie como si fuera la mala del juego, luego tenemos una especie de final con la familia feliz de Ellie la novia y el bebe pero Elli esta atormentada de no haberse vengado de la muerte de Joel donde tenemos una escena totalmente alargada hasta que llegamos al final donde se pegan sin sentido las 2 .
    Mas o menos ese seria mi resumen sin contar las mies de muertes que hay en el juego donde tu deseas que se vengue de Joel y no lo logramos.
    Entre ellas tenemos una escena sin sentido que despues de matar y degollar mazo de gente luego nos ponen a Elie como arrepentida de tortura a X personaje.

    Si es cierto que la IA se comporta mejor que en el anterior juego no me parece una maravilla, todavía cuesta mucho que los npc se den cuenta de que estas detrás de ellos en sigilo y parecen tontos.

До последнего не хотел верить в такие оценки, не хотел оценивать игру пока не прошёл до конца лично, и вот спустя 40 часов геймплея на хардкоре, я это сделал. Сюжет высосан из пальца чуть более чем полностью. Основная завязка игры построена на непонятной ненависти и жестокости. Вся игра это какая то какая то бессмысленная месть. Абсолютно нелепое действие дать контроль за антагониста на половину игры и заставить ИЗБИВАТЬ ПРОТОГАНИСТА В КОНЦЕ. Всю игру все всех ненавидят. Ни один персонаж не вызвал каких-то чувств, кроме непонимания, зачем они все это делают. Первая часть привязала к персонажам минут за 5. И это все, это главная составляющая игры. Сам игровой процесс в первой части не блистал, а просто дополнял историю, позволяя глубже проникнуться. Здесь та же самая ситуация (только истории как таковой нет), сумбурная смесь RE, MGS и TR. Ничего необычного, местами скучно, местами интересно.
    В итоге мы получаем посредственную бродилку, с графикой вида «не подходите близко» и с бесполезным сюжетом. И возможно эта игра заслуживает 7 баллов и звание «уверенного среднечка» игромании, но, НО ЭТО THE LAST OF US. И называйся эта игра как угодно, но не TLOA это было бы так. Но это не какая то игра, это сильнейший провал франшизы, что я видел.

    No está mal, pero el abuso de los flashback lo han hecho demasiado tedioso. Te sacan de la historia cada 5 minutos para contar algo que no han sabido cómo contarlo durante la trama principal. Pésima dirección del proyecto con una trama excepcional y una jugabilidad aceptable.

    This game honestly was a disappointment. I loved the first game. The story was well paced and it was one of my favorites. This one.... not so much. It felt rushed and I don’t care about some of the events that happens in the game (no spoilers) I just didn’t connect with the characters this time around.

    A must play for people who wants to feel

    Abby should die, i hate her with all my heart and i wanted Ellie to drown her and leave Lev to die alone so that the cycel of vengece would end.

    It also succed that she lost her fingers and that tommy’s life went to **** but i could understand what the game was “saying” and i accepted it.

    Please make a sequal because this game broke me and i need closure.

    Ellie probably had the capability to let Abby go because of the time skip but i Saw her killing Joel 2 days earlier.

    I do beleive that Ellie should have killed Abby but that would take away from the HARD PRESSED message the game was going for. It would however have brought me closure even when i Can see and aknowledge that they were both doing something that we should try to avoid.    … Expand

    Gameplay 7.5/10 (why? becase its only a more refined version of the original thing, it doesn't evolve)

    Story 2/10 (Do i really have to have an explanation?, just play it and you'll know, you feel betrayed by the devs, by the game, by even Ellie and Joel, you just feel bad overall, they spit on beloved characters, Abby doesn't lose anything, but Ellie lose EVERYTHING, friends, her father figure (Joel) and lovers.... and Abby just walks out unscratched... i mean yeah she lost her father, but you can't compare 1 person to dozens that Ellie lose because of Abby

    IA 7/10 (sometimes is wanky but overall good?)

    Even if the game is an overall 6.5-7/10 i wouldn't recommend this to anyone, only if you are a masochist or like to read NTR **** or those kind of things, only if you like to feel bad about yourself

    Altogether, it’s a meticulously designed and extremely detailed world. It has fluid mechanics and animations. Beautiful environments and some of the best looking graphics of the generation. The gameplay is good. It’s just missing something. It leaves the player feeling particularly empty. By design, I’m not sure.

    Great game, i dont get all the hate. I think it is a fiting continuation of the first one. The pasing of the story is sometimes a bit akward but aside from that it is perfect.

    Red flag number one.

    A great example, being Bill in the original. The average player would not have picked up on the fact that he was gay, It was very subtle and well written. Now, it was subtle because his sexuality was not neccecery to the scene, and in most cases isnt a detail that needs to be divulged. It's a very private and personal matter. Which is why it was executed perfectly. By a magazine.

    Being gay should not and is not a "personality trait" and should not be overtly shoved in the consumers face.

    Why? Because we dont care!

    Now TLOU2 has many cases of "Token" characters. Characters who's personalities are characterised by their Race, Sexuality or Gender and they ARE forced into the plot.

    TLOU2 has characters who are Trans, Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, etc.

    But not because they contribute to the pre established plot. The foundations set from the plot of the previous entry was completely cast aside to allow for the NEW CAST of LGBTQ token characters.

    Now no reasonable person has any issue with characters being gay, or trans, or other. It is when they are thrown into the plot for the sake of fulfilling a diversity quota.

    Straight white males Joel and Tommy are executed to make way for the new order.

Ademas un giro argumental se puede hacer y quedar muy bien... pero no es fácil hacerlo bien y temo que a mi no e gusto.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Pros: Graphics are outstanding. Environment is beautiful and in some cases as stunning and well thought out as the first game.

    The game is very lineal and tends to feel more like a hallway but the environment makes up for that. In some areas I could have spend hours exploring and wanted more places to explore.

    The flash backs of Ellie and Joel/Tommy were by far the best parts of the game and I would have played hours of just that if I could forgo everything else.

    Cons: When you have a story based game, that had a first game built on and loved as a story based game. There are always extreme expectations when you do a sequel, even when a sequel isn't necessary, you have to really pull out all the stops to make the story feel as amazing and loved as the first one. In the Last of Us 2 the story writing is weak. The game uses cheap and manipulative story mechanics to push players into feeling sympathy for Abby and desperately attempts to make Ellie into some kind of revenge monster. It disregards a fact that Abby put all her friends in danger for selfish reason. If Abby had overcome her own loss she would have never dragged her friends along with her on some cheap revenge kill. No never mind that this is the apocalypse, communication is non existent outside of CB radios.

    Yet they travel thousands of miles on foot to kill this one person that they have no idea what he looks like or if he is still alive. I digress, the game makes every effort to force Abby onto the player. Ignoring fundamental flaws in story telling. What they should have done if built the audience up first to like Abby, maybe have the players play Abby for the first half of the game traveling across parts of the US. Then once the players develop that connection, then slam them with quite possibly the worst killing of a beloved character in gaming history. For people playing LOU2 and not the first game it would be fairly easy to not see the obscenities over this death. It was sadistic and in that moment sealed the ideal that Abby is inherently Evil.

    Abby never feels remorse for her actions, despite her actions being the direct result of everyone in her groups death. Essentially her selfishness was the cause of countless of lives. She suggested torturing People from Joel's town in order to find Joel. And later in a section where you are playing as Abby there is a conversation between her and two other pointless characters where they discuss a truce being broken with the SCARS. Abby's group shot and killed children and they justified it because those kids attacked their people first. The WLF from your very first interactions in NOTHING compared to Joel's group. They are clearly violent and have killed thousands with their "trespassers" mentality. They are a shoot first ask later and it didn't take Ellies actions to cause that.

    I could go on for hours about the terrible story but lets move one. The game at times is boring. I actually fell asleep while playing it multiple times and had to literally power my way through it because the pacing was just so damn bad. There were times I would make as much noise as possible in hoes to alert enemies just so I could have something to do because despite the beauty of the environment. In the sections where literally nothing is happening there is just not enough to explore to keep a players interest. Its so hallway based and just doesn't allow you to explore these clearly beautiful environments.

    The constant fade to blacks.... I just can't, they are so beginner and just drop constantly. The reminded me of the old Batman TV cuts where the bat symbol would spin and play music at every cut. I've watched beginner YouTubers better at cutting than that.

    THE ENDING! I literally just can't with that, at all. It was so unsatisfying and badly done. I can't give too many details or complaints without dropping massive spoilers. Even though at this point, it's moot.

    LASTLY: The dishonesty! The trailers for TLOU2 were manipulated and consumers were made to believe that Joel had a much larger role than he had, which was very little. Naughty Dog pulled a fast one and it really left a bad taste in a lot of peoples mouths. They used Joel for sales numbers because he was so beloved and raw. If we were in the same situation as Joel had been placed, many of us would have been Joel and very few of us would have been Abby. That is the key point ND and Neil Druckmann really failed to understand.

    Killing Dogs. Now this part is very personal for me. I died many, many times to avoid it. I was led to believe that this would be an option in the game. Until that also became a flat out lie. Which for me immediately triggered a panic attack and was very stressful. When I was 6, I was forced to watch as my dog was shot to death in front of me as a punishment. The fact that I was led to believe that killing anything in this game is option is absolutely despicable and i should have had a warning.    … Expand

    This is once in a decade game experience, great mechanics, great story, impacting performances, chocking by design, but has to be experienced, Easily GOTY. Will remain in history among the top ones. Looking forward for the next Naughty Dog will present us.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
