    the main characters die in seconds and never talk of them again like have no relevant any more at the end of the day

    didn't focus on the immunity of Ellie

    This is how you don't do games. Looks like a rushed idea to publish this monster with uncompleted story, broken gameplay and politics every corner.
    I'd rather play the old game again for this price, than this abomination. Indie devs can do better.

    Gameplay is not bad, but not as good as it should've been after these years.
    Story is dull and just bad, it is disappointing after the magnificent part I.
    The characters were went to the wrong direction in the script.
    Graphics are marvelous, they did do a miracle with this crappy console.

    I must say that I did not play, did not watch streams / walkthroughs of the first TLOU. TLOU 2 is almost perfect in everything: pleasant gameplay, fights and their staging, well-designed locations; seriously, I have not seen a single game where the locations would be so diverse and with so many details. So the question is, how can you make the game’s so miserable plot and mutilate oldI must say that I did not play, did not watch streams / walkthroughs of the first TLOU. TLOU 2 is almost perfect in everything: pleasant gameplay, fights and their staging, well-designed locations; seriously, I have not seen a single game where the locations would be so diverse and with so many details. So the question is, how can you make the game’s so miserable plot and mutilate old characters that people love so much that even I sat with Spanish shame from all it? I adhere to the fact that this is all just a crazy fanfiction of Neil Druckmann and Anita Sarkeesian. But to my great regret, the studio simply does not have the courage to admit the project as unsuccessful and, for example, to reissue the second part with a new plot. One can only hope that they will not develop the third part, or stop following the SJW community (which does not even play games), Neil gets off the crocodile (or what does he accept there?) and releases an adequate third part. Although even if we hope for the most positive, then the **** with which they smeared the first part and the fans just can not be washed away even by the ideal in the whole third game.

    By the way, Anita Sargsyan writes about the fanfiction of the TLOU dissatisfied with the plot of the continuation(crossed out) funfiction: “And honestly I'm putting aside that they haven't even played the game yet and have been hyped through all the years of released teasers. They just wanna be mad. They are sad. They probably hate themselves.     Personally, I think this game ticks all the boxes. The gameplay is amazing, the graphics are the best in this generation, and the story is jam-packed with emotion. 10/10 from me.

A lot of people came onto here to express how they hate all the "left wing propaganda" but honestly grow up and review the game for what it is. The gameplay is enhanced significantly with many things that felt missing from the first game like the ability to go prone and have more jumping sections. This game has many deep themes with i'm not sure most players have picked up on. I see a lot of people say that the story makes absolutely no sense and that they don't understand why Ellie would not kill Abby in the ending, These people OBVIOUSLY didn't play and finish the game because it was quite obvious as to why she did what she did. The WHOLE GAME was building to that point. The message is that everyone is the same and everyone has different experiences. There is no justice in the apocalypse. There is no right and wrong. That one is especially important as that is what Ellie has to come to terms with and learn throughout the 30 hour experience. She comes to understand that Ellie and Abby are the same, both attempting to get justice and revenge in an unfeeling, cruel world where neither exist. Alongside the story of Ellie coming to forgive Abby, she comes to forgive Joel. Throughout the game she has flashbacks to her time with Joel, the good and the bad. And she comes to understand why he did what he did. At the same time she is trying to understand what kind of person could do that to Joel and as she finally comes to terms with Joel's decision she realises that she is the exact same as Abby. She understands that killing Abby will no longer achieve anything because what she really wanted was not revenge, but acceptance. Since Ellie has finally accepted her past with Joel and what her life means, she knows that killing Abby will only continue the cycle of revenge and death and not achieve anything. THE WHOLE GAME HAS BEEN BUILDING TO THIS POINT OF SEEING ANOTHER PERSPECTIVE. The game is literally built for this purpose. We have 50% Ellie, 50% Abby. Two women who desperately want to kill the other. We play as BOTH and, at least I did, feel for both characters. I was genuinly invested in the characters of Owen, Mel, Abby and Lev in the second half and when I came to one of the later missions where I find the corpses of both characters alongside the corpse of the lovable dog you've been playing with the whole game I felt huge remorse and sadness because I know that I KILLED THEM only a few hours ago. Not only this between the two leads, but between the main characters and every other enemy in the game. Any time you kill someone in a group in front of someone else, another enemy will shout "NOOO SARAH" or something similar, indicating that Wolf or Seraphite that you just killed had a name, friends, family and relationships with those around them and you just ended that in a push of a button. This happens throughout the entire game. As well as this, you find notes from the enemy sides either when your playing as Abby and killing Seraphites or when you play as Ellie and killing Wolves. You find notes from them detailing experiences and lives they had. The entire game is building towards the final moments where Ellie finally realises why other people made certain decisions.… Expand

    Now. The Story is bad, really bad, I mean why would you kill one of the best characters in the entire videogame industry like that, Joel deserve a better death, I mean Joel was old of course, but he was a complete badass, his death was something stupid, Naughty Dog have some unique stories but this one here is lame, like if they try to make you feel bad for Abby, I mean why would anyone feel bad for someone who is not relevant.

    The story could be better if Joel didn't die in the beggining, maybe later in the game like protecting Ellie or something like that.

    Naughty Dog literally spits on our face with a story like that, the director and the company give us a lot of hype for something so dissapointing, the only good thing about TLOU2 is the graphics and new gameplay otherwise is just another bad history.    … Expand

    I like this game, it's something new, gameplay, grafic and music are beautiful.
    But not a Story.
    When I start to play this game I think "That it is, yes! I wait for it so long and now I can enjoy it"
    But no..
    Just look at the start of story, poor Joel, I know, he must die, but not like that, not at the begining, hell no.
    Abby story sucked.
    The plot could be built differently, I was disgusted to play for Abby, I do not understand why we were given control over her.
    It was an absolutely superfluous story in this game, it was possible to mitigate the motivation for killing Joel in 2-3 cutscenes.
    Throughout the game, I could not express Abby's compassion. I liked Owen more, who was never disclosed as a character.
    Ellie’s motivation at the end of the game is not clear, why, for what?

The only good about this game are the graphics, animation and feel of gameplay but what made the frist game so great was the story which got totaly butchered in Part 2 joal gets killed like a total idiot and tommy also acts as if he never encountered any steanger gives away all information just like that which gets joel killed, and Ellie is turned to a completly psychopath in emo coating, joel taught elie bever to seek revenge and she litterly spits on everything she learnd from him.
    Not gonna lie Abbys part was and felt more human and in touch with the previous story than ellies part which is sad, ellies part litterly made me cheer for Abby, ellie was just annoying and over all the game goes so much into griddyness that it is not real enjoyable to play after a few hours as ellie which is the first time i felt like that playing a video game, this could have been executed much better with a much better outcome but no it also just showed how rigged rating systems are and awards.    … Expand

    Одна из лучших игр поколения. Глубокая, шокирующая, взрослая. Оставляет после себя массу эмоций и пищу для размышлений. Смелый проэкт Дракмана достойный уважения. Убрать бы всю ЛГБТ повестку цены бы ей не было.

    в игре нет души,пустая жестокость и несбывшаяся месть,гора тупизма....правда графика в игре отменная!ЭТО ВЕДЬ ТАК ВАЖНО! Здесь нет той скрытой романтики первой части, нет изюминки,нет интриги.
    Лучше поиграйте в первую часть,она чистая,душевная,человечная ,с проблематикой "отцов и детей" , первая часть шедевр, не то что Этот лгбт-пропагандийский понос,не тратьте деньги впустую,будете разочарованы

For me the story is fine I understand why everybody is whining about Joel dying, I liked how dark that aspect was even though I love Joel, Joel was a dead man walking after all he did in the first game but seeing him die like that in front of Ellie made me want to go after each and every single WLF and explode their heads to oblivion. As far as the Abby storyline I liked that too, finding out her father was the surgeon working on Ellie at the end of the first game who Joel killed I understand why she did the things she did. 9/10… Expand

The game is trash and all the reviews from media is 100% paid. I don't whant to play this, I don't whant to be treated like this. So Naughty Dog go play this game yourself.     This game being bad made it actually made it more memorable, people didn't wanna play as this main character, they wanted joel, like how when dkc3 came out everyone disregarded it because people wanted to be donkey kong. Out of all of the bad triple A ps4 titles this ones the most memorable, all the bad games from this specific generation are why this generation was so memorable.

    Really wanted to rate this game higher, but after finishing the game all i'm left with is a bad feeling that sticks, and for anyone looking to play the game I say this: if you have a depression I would advise you to reconsider as it might just make it worse.

    The Gameplay is spectacular. The music and the world you move through is truly wonderful. But I can't enjoy this story. I can't feel anything for any of the characters. Not even Ellie or Joel. Such a disappointment.. I was hoping this game would be at least what the first game lived up to be. But you can't have everything in this life. 2020 can F*** off. Sorry for my poor English.

Naughty Dog delivers a much more emotional game that can be hardly even called a game, it is a story, an experience... While everyone congratulates the technical and visual aspects of the game, there is no doubts they are at the highest level out there, and will be for some time. However that is not the only beautiful aspect of the game, the level design is astonishing and makes the player feel fully immersed in the story as well as sound and light, while the game lacks some character development and ,story that didn’t turn out as great, I still enjoyed most of it.

    The ending... ahhh, it is still hard to talk about it, as I said the game is not for everyone, and our life’s differ from one another, so the experience will be different of the game, I don’t see the game being fun, and I don’t mean enjoyable, those are two different things, the game is very much enjoyable, only in some parts it is not. This game wants us to understand, learn and experience something, this is a new level of video games that don’t deliver fun, but an emotion. The ending gave me understanding, relaxation, and compassion for Ellie, while I was battered, shattered, and lonely, same as her. The game delivered something for me that none other could, make me feel in the shoes of the main character, it touched the deepest parts of my soul, it made me feel reckless and mad, to being shattered and beat up inside, just like Ellie was. I hope people understand the choices that Ellie made and they would agree upon them. This game is much more than just a fun night to spend, it is an emotion that will touch you so deep inside, that you will change, look at yourself from afar, being afraid, scared, lost, but that is a luxury not all can experience.

    I am defending The Last Of Us 2 as a game that excels in almost every aspect, providing a new experience, and entering a new era of video games, it even hard to call it a video game. While it had its flaws, it is definitely one that will shape you for a lifetime.    … Expand

Game is pretty long: 25-27 hours, a ton of gameplay, a visual and graphics is devastating, simply best graphics a had see so far, good sound design, good gameplay, but you’ll quickly understand, gameplay ain’t changing. I was Playing on survival difficulty, isn’t felt difficult to me, really simple stealth and combat system. Sadly we get to story, well, it’s controversial. I felt script itself is predictable, i am not only about leaked story, i am about: screamers, than makes every twist is worse and worse to characters, so u sitting and like: they really gonna use same and same story weal ? In a ending: yes. Personally, I wasn’t that disappointed, cause I was thinking Joel was make wrong decision, so I understood Abby’s character. I ain’t felt Abby’s character worst of this story. Worst in this, main idea and not going whit this to end. Vengeance makes vengeance, bla-bla-bla. Ok, I got ya, so that mean we’ll have ability to make our own decision in the end ? Right ? We gonna take side ? Drunkman: hahahah, lol, no, of course not, we gonna make most predictable ending, so predictable, than you’ll even gonna surprise to see this. Just fight between two characters.

    O jogo está incrível, quem está falando mal, não tem um PS4 ou não jogou, o gráfico são os melhores que eu já vi, a história está incrível e extremamente emocionante e a jogabilidade faz o jogo ficar mais incrível ainda. Acabei de zerar o jogo, e estou sem palavras, que fim sensacional.

    The story is extremely poor and its hard to digest, the writers took this franchise down the wrong path and totally shat on its predecessor. The only redeeming qualities are the graphics and gameplay. You might as well play the first and be done with it.

    An amazing cautionary tale about the poison of hatred and the consequences of vengeance, told with the phenomenal production quality that Naughty Dog delivers and routinely advances the gaming industry with. Get this game. Pace yourself. When you're lost in the darkness, look for the light.

    Just hated the direction they took the story in . Yes the graphics are amazing but I was just too upset by the story telling to enjoy. Incredibly unsatisfying ending didn't help much either.

    I was really hoping forward to a long awaited sequel. This was very disappointing.

    This part II connects poorly with the first game and story wise it is fractured and not the same kind of dark future store, but more of a simple shooter with new characters. I was disappointed and bored in the latter part of the game.

    Absolutely smasging game, great attention to detail on every step. The story is superb and it does keep you on your toes. It would have been a 10/10 if not for a little to much of LGBT+ agenda beeing pushed that really didn't fit the story at certain points.

    It’s stunning. It’s important. And it’s a deeply well-told story to the point where I genuinely cannot fathom why anyone who has fully beaten the game, not just heard the spoilers, not just watched a streamer snark their way through it or watched ripped YouTube cutscenes, doesn’t appreciate what it has achieved here.

Gameplay in Ellie’s part is a big joke, and Ellie is also the joke itself. A girl, who dare kill so many humans and infectors at the age of 14 would forgive the person who slaughtered Joel in front of her face. A girl, who struggled to survive so hard would blame Joel for saving her life. Perhaps Naughty dog wants to tell us that Ellie actually doesn’t love Joel as much as Joel loves her. I’m pretty sure if it was Ellie who was killed, Joel would chase Abby to every corner of the world until tear her into pieces. Thanks for **** up my best gameplay memories Nile. It’s not worthy, my money, my time, my emotions, this game is just not worthy.

The reason TLOU part one is among the best video games ever made was the connection and attachment towards the characters, the emotional journey that leads to the enjoyment and bittersweet ending of it. The sequel to one of my all time favorite video games I wanted to see what the consequences of one of the most complex and well written characters Joel would be but this game fails to do anything that a PART 2 should.

    SPOILERS AHEAD

    They kill one of my favorite characters within the first TWO HOURS in the most pathetic way and for a character I cared for so much about to get no emotion from me is shocking, absolutely shocking.

    The games structure is poor and trying so hard to be artsy but instead it's fartsy. The flashbacks with Joel and Ellie (the best parts of the game) which should of been how the game started and made us a reason to care about the characters once again, but we get four 20 minute flashbacks in the game after Joel's death and this is suppose to make us feel anything? NO this storytelling sucks, make us care about the characters again, imagine if you hadn't played the original since the release you won't care that Joel dies, you won't even really care about the flashbacks which should of just been this entire game.

    The new character Abby is trash as well because of the structure as well, when you kill our favorite character of the series and then expect us to care about this pathetic "secondary protagonist", no you failed at that, all the new characters in fact are awful, none get an interesting morally grey complex like in the original game. In fact I couldn't even tell you that much about the characters apart from Abby. Dina is pregnant and went to synagogue with her sister, that's it, really that's all you can do to create a character, a teenager could of written a better character. Most of these characters die and apparently everyone has short term memory loss and forget about these characters, wow great writing. If you want to do a revenge is bad story why don't you explore how it has mentally affected these protagonist, that would of been interesting, they give us a scene of this in the epilogue and that's it.

    The ending is the worst ending maybe ever in AAA gaming history. This game could of been easily 1 or 2 points higher if we got the satisfaction of murdering the person who killed Joel but no. Ellie has legit drowned her in the most pathetic final battle ever but for some reason a flashback of Joel makes her stop. REALLY? that would make me make sure she's dead. Now we will get a spinoff or sequel with Abby which I'm sure the fans are really gonna want.

    The gameplay is the same from the original, nothing wrong with that because I enjoyed the gameplay of the original but this has no innovation at all and no a prone, jump and dodge button doesn't make the gameplay "changed". I ran into many bugs, for example getting stuck in boxes, the camera locking in combat and characters being unresponsive to inputs, this game is not polished at all, this is the most since Fallout 76 of bugs I've ran into.

    I found the Seattle downtown segment with Ellie exploring and finding cool things to be the most fun I had with the game, exploring was definitely welcome. But when you get to the pathetic second half with Abby the game feels rushed and exploring was very limited which was a massive letdown.

    This game is easily the worst Sony game since the launch of the PS4 with the order 1886 and Knack. I have never been so disappointed and shocked with the direction of any media like this ever. I hope they do not continue the Last of Us series and make a new IP which I will not support as I have lost trust with Naughty Dog. Lets hope that Ghost of Tsushima is the exclusive to end the PS4 on a high note.    … Expand

    Environments feel more real and they were a blast to play through. Those were my only positives sadly. I played this game on hard and god damn is this AI bad, absolutely no strides forward since 2013 and I had to check a few times to see if the difficulty switched to easy or something. And the story, I hated every second of it. The reason that I fell in love with the first game was because of how real the characters were. I know it has been said a million times but I love the relationship between Joel and Ellie and I couldn't wait to see what they would do in this game. So why does Joel get merked in the first 2 hours? It pisses me off beyond belief. In my opinion, the characters seem way off and boring. I hated Jesse instantly and Dina is such a dry and uninteresting person. And Tommy seems so off and the way he acts was so strange to me. Ellie is no longer a witty and impulsive girl that made you laugh and happy. She is now a stone-cold killer with little to no emotion. The revenge plot is just so stupid and I never thought it would pay off. Which it didn't. I hated every second that I had to play as Abby, and since you play her for nearly half the game, I lost my mind. I have absolutely no sympathy for her and what her past was. She is uninteresting and her character depth is dog ** The game is so brutal and violent it made me sick. The way every person is treated and how they all suffer in some way just hurts me. Joel dies, Jesse dies, Tommy gets shot in the head and loses an eye, Dina abandons Ellie, and Ellie ends the game alone, fingerless, and sad. This brings me to the ending which I could barely get myself too. My mental state was that bad. So, why does Ellie spare Abby? You spend the entire game hunting her down and you kill hundreds of people to get to Abby. The moral of the story is that killing is bad and the cycle of revenge, so basically the game is telling me that killing Abby would get me nowhere. But this is stupid because the story tells me that you need to kill everyone in your path to get to Abby and when I get there, the game says no and insert cutscene. At least give the player a choice. I bet 95 percent of all players would absolutely destroy Abby in the worst way possible. Why am I told to kill for the first 25 hours but not the final resolution? It feels cheap and left such a bad taste in my mouth, I couldn't even break a smile. In fact, the only time I did smile was during the flashbacks with Joel and Ellie. It shows what the game could have been without all the hate and sadness. And the scenes like Owen and Abby in the aquarium I just thought about how this scene could have been good if replaced by Joel and Ellie. The game ending with Ellie unable to play guitar and all alone just crushes me. She didn't deserve any of this. This game is so depressing and intentionally filled with hate. By the end, the game gave me so many negative feelings I can't even explain them. Why would anyone want that in a video game? I cried because the game is so sad and feels like a slap in the face compared to the first game. The game did not need to be like this, I would have loved if it was just the Joel and Ellie flashbacks. I still can't believe this is the end result. I could go more in-depth but I don't want to. I can't express how much it hurts me. Just like Reggie said, "If it's not fun, why bother"? So don't. Don't bother."    … Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
