    Excellent - there's a lot to take in after playing through the whole experience.

    Yes, it's understandably divisive in terms of what the story takes you through. Many feel uncomfortable with the game's direction, including myself halfway through for a period of time, but that's what makes Last of Us games stand out from others on the market. I believe it will only age well. Like the Game of Thrones universe, the world is muddied with shades of gray moralities among the characters - many of which aren't likable or understandable at first impressions. That sometimes changes over time and sometimes not at all. The game-play, combat, graphics, and scope have improved greatly. AI is not the smartest, however.

    I hope some of the gaps in the game's timeline can be played in a future title - there's still a lot of untouched potential based on the can that was opened up with this story. Don't miss this game; but also if you give it a go, try and play through to the ending. The gaming world needs more games of this caliber of immersion & story-telling.    … Expand

    Historia agridulce y me gusta lo agridulce, el guión presenta bastantes incoherencias y el final me ha dejado con gusto amargo, pero es sin duda una potente historia emocional con el mejor gameplay que se ha visto hasta la fecha.

    Muchos se quejan de la muerte de Joel, que esperaban? Una muerte lleva de gloria, elogios, un monumento a Joel? Me temo que no se dan cuenta de lo falso que son ese tipo de muertes, ¿que Joel no fue precavido y se confío?, No se si entendieron la historia pero bien claro se dice que en Jackson siempre se aceptaba gente nueva, Joel obviamente ya no era el mismo desconfiado de antes, ahora se tuvo que adaptar a su nuevo hogar

    Ahora el final, un final muy agridulce, ya qué Ellie termina sola y dejando atrás a Joel (dejando su guitarra y tocandola por última vez) está claro que Ellie se dio cuenta que su venganza solo la destruyo, no le causó nada más que perdidas, dolor y sufrimiento. El por qué dejo viva a abby fue su acto de compasión al ver y pensar en Joel otra vez, ya que ella antes de que muriera Joel le dice que quiere perdonarlo por lo que hizo, lo cual nos lleva a abby, Ellie como no pudo llegar a perdonar a Joel lo refleja con abby perdonandole la vida

    Este juego tiene muchisma filosofía y pensamientos abstractos, pero con un poco de atención los llegas a notar y disfrutar el juego bastante, no deberían dejarse llevar por reseñas y jueguenlo ustedes mismos para que tengan su propio apreciación del mismo    … Expand

    Listen, Ive seen the leaks. I see all the hate the game has gotten, and honestly going in I didnt have my hopes set too high. I LOVED the first game, I played it 3 times and had months of time spent on the Multiplayer (Which i truly hope they add back in). I enjoyed TLOU2 though, even though I was upset with Joel dying so fast. He's still in the game for more time than I expected and IListen, Ive seen the leaks. Really the only 2 things I feel could have made this game better is 1. if there was a factions mode released with the game because I love how satisfying the kills are and 2. If they would have given Abby a better character model, she could have been prettier and a little less manly and this would without a doubt be a 10/10 i wont knock a point off for Abby being so ugly lol But because it doesnt have a MP mode ill dock a point since it released with the first game. The game is actually fun to play, visually stunning. Gameplay and sound are forsure better then the first, the story has its ups and downs just like life itself does. Theyre truly alot of beautiful moments in the game and alot where youre like damn what the hell just happen, it has forsure made me never want to put the controller down though. I dont understand what all the hate is about man, its kind of sad honestly because its easily one of the best games I've ever played TLOU1 is still the GOAT but this one improves on Part 1 in a lot of ways.… Expand

Graphics, quality,sound,etc,amazing.The story is completely fine,nothing wrong.I would like to explain why.A beloved character from the first game gets tortured to death by ABBY.This part made people mad and I understand cause I was pissed to,but as I got deeper in I really felt the urge of getting revenge and everyone knows what they were getting there selves into since this was a revenge story;moreover,playing as Joel's killer also made people mad,which I understand,but isn't it interesting to see Abby's part of the story and see why she did what she did.Overall I enjoyed the game and would recommend playing it.Let me know your thoughts on my review.… Expand

Juego muy muy muy esperado quizás eso a veces juega en contra y se tienen espectativas más allá de las que uno puede obtener en el producto final , en el ámbito gráfico y jugable es de 10 nada que reclamar unos pequeños fallos que no afectan la jugabilidad, lo jugué en difícil para aprovechar mejor la inteligencia artificial del juego lo que me pareció bastante bien los enemigos eran más fuertes y aprovechaban más el entorno para franquearnos, lamentablemente el punto más bajo es la historia , está mal construida nos obligan a jugar con Abby justo cuando ya teníamos el desenlace de la historia pudieron haber hecho capitulo intermedio entre ellie y Abby y quedaba mejor , nos hacían empatizar con Abby y entender la motivación que tenía por matar a Joel pero no , nos hacen jugar con ella como si fuese un juego nuevo eso no me gustó y lo peor es el final uno quiere hacer "justicia" de cierta forma ya que uno siempre es héroe o víctima en su propia historia y se nos prohíbe esa sed de venganza o de querer hacer justicia por algo que se nos arrebato de manera tan abrupta es el único pero ya que en los otros ámbitos es excelente muy entretenido… Expand

Pero la mayoría de las quejas se centren en la muerte que le dieron a Joel, por una razón básica: el juego no es solo una situación, es una acumulación de momentos, sensaciones y acciones que dan un todo. Y que nadie sea capaz de ver más allá me asombra en cuanto a la poca crítica objetiva que hay al respecto (sobran los que se quejan de la muerte de Joel pero sobran aún más los que se quejan de la sexualidad de las personajes)

    Abby es una mujer que quería vengar no solo la muerte de su papá sino también reventar al tipo que dejó sin cura a la humanidad. No podés empatizar con ella? Perfecto, a mí es un personaje que no me gustó, no me identifiqué en ningún momento con ella, pero la clave no es amarla sino entenderla: qué haría uno en su lugar? Acaban de matar a tu papá cometiendo uno de los peores crímenes para la humanidad de paso, QUÉ HARÍAS? Yo te puedo asegurar que siendo Abby lo que le haría a Joel sería peor que lo que le hizo.

    Todos amamos a Joel, y a mí me quebró su muerte. Fue muy fuerte, pero ahí es donde empieza el verdadero argumento del juego: la venganza de uno se convierte en la venganza del otro, y así se crea un ciclo de violencia y muerte que no tiene fin. "Ojo por ojo quedaremos todos ciegos" dice un refrán, y acá quedó más que claro cuando al final Ellie queda completamente sola, Tommy está quebrado y completamente solo.

    No olvidemos que no es "The Last Of Us 2", sino que es "Parte 2". Qué significa eso? Que no es una secuela para ver cómo puede llegar a seguir la historia, sino que es la parte de una historia global que nos faltaba aprender, nos faltaba ver las consecuencias de lo que pasó y entender a su vez que lo que estamos haciendo ahora también tendrá consecuencias que en el caso de Ellie serán brutales, nada favorables.

    En fin: ojalá la crítica pudiera ser más global y reflexionar sobre los errores que cometió el juego.    … Expand

    Easily one of the best if not the best told stories in video game history. I empathized with the characters on both sides of the story-something a binary good versus evil environment doesn't foster. Motion capture, dialogue, emotion, meticulously recreated setting, musical inclusion- in a word, "immersive."

While gameplay received better animations and such, it mostly remained the exact same and becomes monotonous and predictable over the 25+ hour story. While it’s not bad, you'd hope for a much bigger upgrade or overhaul of crafting and other gameplay mechanics, but many remained completely untouched. But the gameplay isn’t what causes this game to be a failure in my opinion, because that’s not what people really play TLOU for anyways. People play for the characters and story, which is nothing short of disappointing and misguided in this game. The utter lack of respect toward previous or even new characters prevents the player from getting invested in them, and the game fails to utilize the one relationship the player was already invested in going into the game. Instead they demolish that relationship, and never really show it getting back to anything of what it used to be. Most other characters in this game are stagnant and replaceable, and while they have good performances, fail to make me care about them in a meaningful way. That is, until they get brutally murdered on a quest for revenge. By the end of the game I was so numb to violence nothing shocked me anymore, and I’m not sure what the game was even trying to say through all this violence and misery. What I do know is that I feel devastated for Ellie and deep hatred for another character. I truly hope Naughty Dog lets this franchise die in the pit they dug for it. I absolutely loved the first game, but this train wreck wants me to feel depressed for nothing. Some of the lessons it tries to teach seem so stupidly simple I asked myself if I was even hearing it right. All I can hear now is the ringing in my ears after listening to one of my favorite games get pillaged and massacred in the name of “Subverted Expectations”. Do not recommend… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game really took me on a emotional rollercoaster. With the death of Joel I was immediately in rage mode. I literally paused the game for like 30min and I wanted Abby dead. Through the whole game playing as Ellie that was all on my mind and I didn't care to kill anyone. The game really makes you feel this as it shows flask backs with Joel and Ellie (real tough) and kinda made me more upset. But through the journey you take a lot of lives and you can see it starts to way on Ellie and it did for me as well. The game take you through killing majority of the crew that killed Joel until you end up killing Abby's lover and and the woman bearing his child and her. This takes a big toll on Ellie. Through all of this Ellie isn't the only at risk. She puts her lover Dina and close friend Jesse. Dina is actually pregnant and I believe this is why it was so hard on Ellie knowing she killed someone that was pregnant like Dina. The story doesn't end there; it then makes you play as Abby. OMG at first this pissed me off. Personally I let her die a lot on purpose but as her story was revealed it was just sad for both her and Ellie. Abby is the daughter to one of the fire fly doctors that Joel killed at the end of the first game that also wanted revenge. Overall this story is great and not in the way I anticipated at all. This isn't perfect and sometimes the enemy AI is clueless or extra hard for example the clickers would still react towards me being to close though they can't see. Unless there's something I don't know I don't understand that part. Gameplay is still what the last of us is supposed to be but I wish the stealth would've been better or more options. This was a great representation of the cycle of hate and revenge and a long story at that. And I'm glad I got to experience it with avoiding spoilers.85/100… Expand

    This game is not for everyone. Some people will not be happy to play this game after playing the first, and that’s something you’ll have to understand if you choose to play the Last of Us Part 2. Graphically, the game is absolutely gorgeous and I have no complaints. I encountered almost no glitches or bugs, which was very nice. Now, onto the story. The story is what brought this game down to an 8 rather than a 9 for me. Overall, I enjoyed it. I liked what the developers were trying to do, and I was able to look past the “ludonarrative dissonance” of it all. My issues were mostly with the pacing and progression of the story. Sometimes one quest would drag on for a ridiculously long time, just to give no character insights or narrative progression. There were essentially three chunks of the game, and the first two could have been cut down considerably. Unfortunately there were also times that something would happen too quickly and receive far too little time to leave an emotional impact. I understand that in some situations this is to provide realism, but sometimes it seemed strange given the drawn out nature of some aspects of the story. Contrary to popular opinion, I enjoyed the ending. I think it perfectly illustrated the theme of forgiveness. The problem with this is the amount of time we were forced to play a game about revenge. If this game was closer to 15-20 hours, I absolutely think it would be easier to understand that this game isn’t about revenge, it’s about forgiveness. I also have other problems with the narrative, but I think they’re mostly subjective, and if you go into the game unbiased, there’s an chance you will like them and a chance you will dislike them. Overall, I think this game is getting a bad rap from people who have never played it. If you play it and dislike it, I respect your opinion and want to hear where you’re coming from. I liked it, so try to go into it unbiased, and you might too!… Expand

Not only did I have another chance to be immersed in a world that naughty dog generated, I wanted to relive the characters that I grew to love and adore. This game has taken a very different approach to part 1 and I would be lying to say that I was not worried when I finally hit the start button on the PlayStation. The detail in the world naughty dog creates is really nothing short of spectacular. As the game unfolds, the characters and their stories that play out before you brings different perspectives to the unforgiving world you have been thrown into. Игра очень сильно понравилась, максимальная детализация, оч классный сюжет, вызывающий бурю эмоций, говорю как фанат первой части, прошедший ее как минимум 15 раз на PlayStation 3, и столько же на PlayStation 4, и выбил платину на первую часть как только эта игра появилась на PlayStation 4, прочитал кучу комиксов и фанфиков, и могу сказать что вторая часть очень качественно сделанная игра, но она не лучше чем первая, это точно. Но! Мне не понравилось то, что дают играть за убийцу джоэла, мне просто хотелось убить эбби, а не проникатся к этому персонажу, меня можно понять, ибо я 7 лет любил этого персонажа, а его так жестоко убивают, как фанату-это очень больно потерять любимый тандем, так ещё и отомстить нельзя-это обидно. эту игру перепроходить несколько раз невозможно, по крайней мере для меня-слишком уж тяжело смотреть на всю боль, которую испытывают мои любимые персонажи. I fully regret having bought this game, and I am trying to resell it, at least recover a part of my lost money Mechanics and enemies are quite good, the story (80% most important part) does not deserve an opportunity. Firstly, they lied with the trailers they show to us. If Abby was such an important character and we were going to be forced play half of the game with her, why did not she appear more in the trailers? What were they afraid of? Then, they use Joel character in a scene where it is actually taking place with Jessie, so lying on us, cheating on us. And not only this, there are too much contradictions between first game and this other game make impossible to emphatize with Abby. Moreover, killing such a beloved character as Joel is (and even more in the way they did) it's a misrespect to the fans, who were the ones running to buy the game at launch price. They destroyed the saga. For me, the last of us 2 never existed. The story ends / continues in Joel and Ellie going back to Jackson after he saves her from a death she even knew would happen...… Expand

I will say the passing is god awful and feel like my time was being wasted in the Abby section, if that would have been spliced in with Ellie’s secontions more seamlessly I might have enjoyed the game more.     Yo personalmente le proporciono un 9.6, es una historia increíble, cruda y difícil de digerir en un principio pero vale la pena hacer reflexión de ella y como he dicho antes depende completamente de usuario saber o no saber interpretarla.
    Respecto a la "agenda política" que mencionan los otros usuarios, depende del mismo jugador, si os molesta jugar con una mujer que tenga una preferencia diferente a la heterosexual o tratar temas de este tipo, solo recomiendo que se mantengan alejados del juego si no están dispuestos a tolerar lo anterior. Sin embargo quiero recalcar que esto no afecta para nada la trama del juego, es algo secundario que le aporta personalidad a Ellie y no probar el juego solo por esto hace que te pierdas de muchas cosas.
    Puede que algunas cosas de está trama sean difíciles de digerir, pero es que en realidad la propia existencia humana es difícil de llevar, porque somos nosotros mismos quienes nos devoramos, quienes nos destruimos y esto se ve perfectamente reflejado en el título.
    Así que jugador Yo recomiendo dar una oportunidad a esta increíble joya, que al igual que el primero hacen de tu moral una increíble lucha y si os gustan juegos de este tipo, con todo gusto recomiendo probarlo.    … Expand

Graphics, action and storytelling were a great and bigger step from its predecessor. It's a dark and brutal game but beautiful at the same time. I can see why some people hate it because of the emotional attachment to certain characters in part 1 and how they were used in part 2. Despite the early heartbreaking moment that most wishes didn't happen. I thought it was necessary and having the ability to play both sides of the story to get the perspectives is what makes this game great. I hated Abby in the beginning and learned to love the character as I played throughout to which I had a hard time playing when coming to the confrontations between Ellie and Abby. This game is definitely worth the money and does not deserve the hate it's getting. However, I wished the game was even longer or had the multiplayer mode as it did in part 1. Excited for the direction it'll take in part 3 if ND decides to make a sequel.… Expand

The storytelling, if done in a different order, I believe would have made the dynamic between the player and Abby more interesting. However, because Joel died almost immediately, and we knew who did it, making us play as Abby for 6+ hours felt forced. I found myself rushing because I was kind of uninterested in Abby; I felt betrayed by her, so why would I want to play her? They should have humanized her BEFORE she killed Joel.

    然后，以仇恨为主题的感情是很难产生共情的。相比于第一部一直想着去保护一个人，本作一直想着要去杀一个人是很难让玩家感同身受的。而这也让我每晚去面对恐怖的感染者时少了一分勇气。
    本作在中期之后的第二个高潮点是在剧院的碰撞。我本以为这会是一个高潮点，是不是要让玩家去决定让谁杀了谁，来决定最后的结局？我还犹豫了很久到底是让艾利活下来还是诶比活下来。结果设计的也很一般。

    This game is a masterpiece and an emotional rollercoaster. It capture the dark tone of this world perfectly and the oscar winning performances from the actors gives extreme depth to the characters. There is no hero in this nor a villain but all are survivors trying to look after their own. It's so much more than just the cycle of violence

    The last of Us part 2 being the biggest challenge naughty dog has had it is definitly a must play for the people who enjoyed the first game.
    Besides the Breathtaking gameplay and graphics that look stuning the story is the main foval point and the better.
    All do i can see why people would not enjoy this game no one can deny That the story is inovative and is amazing!

    A great game, awesome revenge cycle story. Fun diverse game play. Awesome cast. Heart wrenching scenes and nail biting finale in which I had to pause multiple times before I could handle it ending. Which was a bit surprising and when I thought it would end another scene started.

    Completely recommend, but play part 1 first.

You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

    If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
