    This game really doesn't deserve all the hate people give it
    ... It really is a magnificent tale of revenge, gameplay has gone a long way since the first episode and even after 16hrs of gameplay, I still find details I hadn't paid attention to in the beginning.
    You could write an entire book about the visuals, it's just gorgeous; as much as the relationship between Ellie and her lover    This game really doesn't deserve all the hate people give it

    Naughty dog can really be proud of their job and shouldn't listen to the **** that destroyed the game online even though most of them haven't played it.
    I'm looking forward to playing part 3 or getting to live Ellie's story with comics, series, whatever, there's just so much to say and make about this universe that you never get enough of it.

    我觉得还可以，没有那么差。
    最后艾比还是挺惨的，那么期待可以找到火萤，但是最后被欺骗了，连自己的伙伴都保护不了，至少当时乔尔还是保护到了艾力，自己活着也有意义了。艾比不但没有保护到，还坑了自己的同伴，那受到了应该有惩罚，我觉得这个比死还要痛苦。

I hated how they killed Joel so early and I didn’t get a chance to play as him at all. I also really hated how I was forced to play Abby. But as the game went on I got the story and it was compelling. The Abby parts were actually fun because she had awesome weapons. In the end I was actually hoping the two could some how reconcile. But I commend naughty dog for being able to show both sides of a story and genuinely make you care for both sides. For what it’s worth I think those who complain about the story on how they forced you to like Abby are the type of people who always complain without providing any alternatives. Naughty dog had a story it wanted to tell and it required us to like the bad guy. Not only like the bad guy but like the bad guy who killed a beloved character we spent the majority of the previous game playing as. It’s a mountain for them to climb and I don’t know how else they could have achieved this. I still don’t really like Abby. But I get her side. People are rarely the villain in their own story.… Expand

    My favorite game ever, this will be the game of the decade if a top contender, the story is very well plotted, to get the feeling of playing as abby who i once hated because of what she did to Joel, they made her reasons justified. And the story of ellie is heartbreaking and makes what this story great. 10/10 would recommend anybody play

    First 1/3rd was amazing. Couldn't leave the game because I was so wrapped up in the storyline. 2nd third became slightly monotonous but was important for character development. Third third of the game was edge of the seat storyline again. Couldn't wait to see how it finished and wrapped it all off.

    Quite honestly one of the best games I’ve played in awhile! I went in a little apprehensive with all the negative reviews floating around but was glad that I got to experience the story first hand. I really enjoyed the rollercoaster of emotions it took me on and found my self empathizing with surprising characters. It broke my heart more than once. I would say that only a good game makes you feel that way, haha.

    The environment and combat/stealth system is actually awesome. I played on hard for my first play through and enjoyed playing conservatively when it came to encounters. Getting to explore/scavenge between fights was one of my favorite things to do. I loved reading notes left behind by others. Though that’s true from the first game as well.

    I also loved that the Infected played a bigger part even though they weren’t the main focus of the game. Their AI systems definitely got a much needed rework compared to the last game and they were more fun to go up against! Don’t let the negativity stop you from experiencing this awesome story!    … Expand

Some reviews I’ve seen have been pathetic. A 0 for Joel dying, a 0 for Ellie being gay and saying it it doesn’t belong in the game ? Pretty strange considering it was made clear within the first game that she was gay. Joel dying in the game made the whole story actually important. It wasn’t a disregard for a beloved character as people claim. Joel died because of his actions within the hospital in the first game and saying that it was pointless people just clearly don’t understand the story. This game shows how bad the fan base for the last of us actually is. This game is phenomenal but because the so called “fans” are annoyed at the tiny little things in the game then give it a 0 rating. How about give reviews properly so the company can improve upon. This game story “isn’t all over the place” as people are saying, it makes sense. There are flashbacks through the game showing interactions between Ellie and Joel in the 4 year gap and at the half way point then switch over to Abby made complete sense, it makes you see the different side to her and why she hunted down Joel. Let talk about the ending. The ending was great and made complete sense l. Ellie obviously realised if she ends up killing Abby then the cycle will just start again. Abby killed Joel for killing her farther for Ellie to kill Abby for killing Joel would make her no better than Abby. Lev, was sat in the boat watching this happen helplessly much like how Ellie watched the Joel death. By Ellie letting Abby go this breaks the vicious cycle and for me I thought it was a brilliant end to a brilliant story. People need to get over the little things in this game that they’re giving 0 ratings for and play the game. Maybe they’ll actually enjoy it and The Last of Us 2 May get the reviews it deserves.… Expand

    At first I was worried about the quality of the game and story after such outcry. I finished playing today and couldn’t get it out of my head. Not only it’s my new favorite game, it’s probably the best movie of the year so far!! I got all the feels... never though I’d feel like crying with a game but wow, it’s truly intense.     You can the amount of love that went into this game. Some of the scenery is absolutely stunning and I spent hours looking at all the details. There are criticisms about the story but I really enjoyed it. It does go in a direction you don’t expect but I’ve never seen a story do it like this before. It’s refreshing and bold. In the past, Spielberg has said that video games don't move audiences the same way as movies; I think this game disagrees with him (and I'd hope he'd agree with that). I think the evidence is present in the ridiculously low scores more than the higher ones. I'm hopefully staying clear of spoilers when IA great way of making a point. It's a lesson in understanding, a lesson sorely needed for us all. For those of you taking those 0s and 1s out of 10 into consideration I'll ask you this: how can a game with such incredible graphics, attention to details and game-play have a 0? Many will scoff and say the game's writer has done something very wrong at the start. It's a dystopian future, one where the character's decisions have lawless consequences. If you liked the first game and are interested in this one then just play it. Make your own mind up; all I'd suggest is playing it all the way through before reviewing it. Many (not all) of these 0s and 1s seem to have appeared within the game's first day of release. It took me just over 30 hours to complete the game.… Expand

    Joel's death is necesary to the plot of the game, its something that makes you feel the same as Ellie, the death could be better but his death is represented by the feeling of Abby, if you think Ellie wants the same thing that Abby (revenge).

    The history could be better in so many moments and the characters could be best represented, like Jesse, he was dina ex-boyfriend and the father of the baby and dies in a stupid way, other character like that was Dina, she was so good on the first part of the game but when you discover that shes pregnant she becomes useless but Abby's character makes you hate her so shes a good villian and that makes her the best character of the game, you plays as her and you see other side of Abby, she feels and she is a human not a total b1tch amazing    … Expand

    Ironically, I had low expectations compared to most for this game due to the number of people online telling me how much I will hate it (especially as such a huge fan of the first). Due to this, I believe this certainly aided me to be quite shocked at how much I enjoyed the narrative of this very controversial title. Truthfully, I just can't say I agree with many of the popular critiques of the narrative (except a few plot holes) which is why I am rating it a 9/10. Firstly, the gameplay (including graphics, lighting, level design, and sound design) is amazing; especially that it can run so well on a base PS4. In my opinion, the gameplay alone should discredit most 0/10's. Secondly, the performances are incredible once again; even though some may struggle relating to some new characters, the individual performances are still amazing almost across the board. One scene that stands out for this is at the beginning of the game in the cabin; if you played it you know what I'm referring too. Finally, the narrative itself while having made some very interesting decisions, executes these decisions extremely well in my opinion. This game is not trying to capture the same magic of the first, but instead, create a new storyline which was an extremely risky move that I respect greatly. Most decisions of this game have an answer, it really just depends if the player is willing to be open or not to the story. The ending especially is one that I really confused about how so many hate it, as it truly is one of the redeeming moments of Ellie in a story filled with so much sadness. "Well, she did all of this for nothing"... exactly, revenge never truly fulfills and always amounts to nothing. In my opinion, though, this game says much more than "revenge is bad", but, that is all up for interpretation to the player with its very open-ended conclusion. I have to admit like many people I was upset and angered by the death of Joel, it felt stupid and out of character for him, but then I realised that of course it’s out of character for him, he has been living in Jackson with Ellie and his brother for years now. Both of these people would have changed Joel’s perspective on the world and he would have stopped being so cynical and untrusting. The fact that I was so angered by his death and so shocked by how it went down just shows that naughty dog knew exactly what they were doing and the story just gets better after that, we follow Ellie on a story of revenge, and during that story we see glimpses into her past with Joel and the reasoning for why she wants to do this. However during the story we see that she regrets some of the actions she makes and it’s incredibly to see a protagonist really wonder if what she did was right. Halfway through the game comes the most controversial part, we get to play as the “villain” Abby. And like a lot of people I wasn’t very thrilled about the idea of playing half the game as this character however throughout her story we learn the reason to why she killed Joel and also find out that she is just as good a person as we believe Ellie to be. However the boss fight against Ellie was still very hard to do and I did not want to do it as like many others I love her character. But the side as Abby was very interesting and gave some insight into her character which helped the story a lot. The best part of the game for me was the ending. It showed that Ellie quest for revenge lost her many people in her life and she even realised that Abby was not worth killing, overall it was a very well done story of revenge and how it can be wrong.… Expand

    El juego es excepcional, de principio a fin, le pongo un 9 y no un 10, solo y únicamente porque pienso que se puede llegar a hacer un poco largo, y no me refiero a la duración en horas, sino porque en cierto momento del juego sientes que está durando demasiado sin contar casi nada nuevo. Básicamente porque llega un momento que pasas por la misma situación varias veces seguidas, peroEl juego es excepcional, de principio a fin, le pongo un 9 y no un 10, solo y únicamente porque pienso que se puede llegar a hacer un poco largo, y no me refiero a la duración en horas, sino porque en cierto momento del juego sientes que está durando demasiado sin contar casi nada nuevo. Básicamente porque llega un momento que pasas por la misma situación varias veces seguidas, pero insisto es un juego sobresaliente, digno sucesor de la primera parte. Una historia impresionante llevada con maestría a lo largo del juego, es para mi y sin duda alguna, uno de los mejores juegos de PS4.… Expand

J'ai fini le jeu 2 fois, 40 heures de jeu au total. Je peux comprendre la déception de certains mais étant un amoureux du premier, je n'ai pas été déçu. The Last of Us Part II m'a fait me poser des questions qu'un jeu vidéo ne m'avait jamais poser surtout en ce qui concerne le manichéisme: qui sont réellement les gentils et les méchants de l'histoire ? Au final, y'a t-il vraiment des gentils et des méchants ? The Last of Us 2 répond à ces questions: Non, tout dépend du point de vue que l'on adopte. Pour le coup, c'est le jeu avec lequel j'ai eu le plus d'émotion en fait, en jouant, j'ai été énervé, triste, choqué, heureux, déterminé. Je lui donne la note de 8 car évidemment, il y a des défauts. J'ai trouvé certaines phases de l'histoire un peu trop allongé, là uniquement pour combler. La phase de jeu avec Abby était plutôt chiante sauf pour la fin sur l'île des Séraphites. Mais tout ce qui était déjà dans le premier jeu a été amélioré, le gameplay, les persos, la durée de vie. Neil Druckmann nous avait prévenu: le jeu va diviser et des gens vont être déçus et énervés. C'est pas pour rien qu'il a dit que ce serait le jeu de la haine, on a tous été énervé par ce qu'il s'est passé tout comme Ellie l'a été.… Expand

It made me cry, it made me mad, but I think this is what the devs were going for and they did an amazing job. Beautiful art can't be perfect, sometimes it's the flaw that makes it beautiful.

    I struggled for a moment when first switching over to play as Abby due to how well the game had forced me to hate her.
    But as I began to see things from her perspective and accept the message the game was trying to put across I found that it wasn't a bad thing.
    The first Last of Us was amazing and helped by the fact that the villain in Marlene and the fireflies weren't really villains.
    They were trying to save the world but we saw them as Evil due to our perspective and Abby is exactly the same.
    Only we see her story in far more depth, we see her reasons for hunting Joel are the same as Ellies reasons for hunting her.
    We see how everyone in the Last of Us world has these shades of Grey, their is no good and evil just survival.
    On top of all this the gameplay is astounding the stealth is well done and when all hell does break loose it feels like genuine chos where an enemy can come at you from any direction.
    The attention to detail is also top level with every area incredibly well laid out and my personal favourite being Ellie playing the guitar and all the videos now about with her playing classics.
    And finally for me is the characters, Ellie is amazing, so entirely driven by her hate, rage and need for vengeance that by the time she sees the consequences of her actions she has lost everything that mattered to her.
    Dinas role as Ellies anchor and seemingly the one person who might be able to get her out of the endless cycle of vengeance even though she fails.
    And if you let go of the hatred from the first half of the game and let yourself understand Abby she and her friends are equally intriguing characters even if they have a very skewed moral compass but then so does Ellie and so did Joel.
    Overall Last of us part 2 is an incredible game it is horrific, dark, grisly and one emotional gut punch after another and everytime you think fictional characters can't hurt you more this game will twist the knife again and again.
    I understand people being put of by the violence and bleak tone, even if I think they help the overall experience.
    The Lesbian and Trans elements shouldn't be an issue for any one as they have zero negative effect on the game itself and anyone who allowed themselves t be put of by the leaks about this game need to make their own opinion using the actual game rather then using what a few youtubers say as the basis for their opinion.    … Expand

    Graphics are outstanding. As is the game play and music/sound. Story could have been better but it is still pretty good. Don't get what everyone's problem is. Possibly upset that it didn't happen the way they wanted it to. The first game didn't have a happy story either. Had a blast, great characters. Was never going to be as good as the first game.

    What an experience. completely subverted my expectations at every corner and made me ask myself extremely difficult questions. The ending will stay with me for months. I dont know what I feel. But its completely conflicting. I loved this game. I want to forget it . But I cant. 10/10

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I finished The Last of Us two last night. I thought it was good for the most part. Some of the criticism the game is receiving is pretty fair, some of it not so much, but also I think according to the developers plan. That would be my main criticism of the game, I think they went out of their way to court just about every type of controversy available to exploit and then dressed that exploitation up as a philosophical statement. They aren’t the same thing, they never have been. I found the gameplay fun and tense, the story was.... really over the top. I think the majority of players are going to have trouble pulling the emotional shifts the game writers are asking them to pull and so instead of feeling empathy for all sides, which was probably the intent, may just get tired and feel nothing for any of them at the end aside from a bit of relief that it’s finally over. Which is about where I ended when the credits finally rolled. I probably reacted a little differently than a lot of people will because I personally find it very irritating when someone or something is blatantly trying to manipulate my point of view or feelings, even more so when they don’t make any attempt to cover up that manipulation. So I was mostly checked out on the character investment by the time much of the second half of the game started pulling its punches. Still, I kept playing, and I did genuinely want to know how it would end but I found myself not really caring which of the main characters was going to be alive when it ended and that seems like an indication of a kind of failure to deliver to me.
    The first game was almost perfect, this one was still pretty good but it’s gone for an easier more low brow kind of impact and I think for that reason plenty of players are going to find themselves a little disappointed when those credits roll.
    I personally don’t have a problem with shock rock and that’s really what this game amounts too. It’s the Alice Cooper and Marilyn Manson of video games. You can make good shock rock, and you can thoroughly enjoy shock rock, but for me shock rock can’t be a high work of art. It exists in a space that exploits a certain type of teenage rebellion and while it does that well, those 16-25 year olds grow up some day. The Last of Us was a definitive closing argument in the video games as art debate. The Last of Us part two well, that’s just shaking your fist.    … Expand

I rate it a solid 90% or higher and probably would have opted for giving it a 9 out of 10 but was so annoyed with all the ridiculous review bombing I’m giving the game the fair 10 it deserves. What Naughty Dog have achieved in relation to creating a sequel to one of the very best video games ever created has to be applauded. Sequels usually never live up to their predecessor and following the brilliance of the first was never going to be easy. But for me it delivered exactly the same captivating entertainment that made the first game something I had never experienced or expected within a video game. The Last of us Part 2 is a horror game; it is violent, shocking, unsettling and at times so claustrophobic I find myself scrambling frantically within gameplay to move ahead only so I can breathe again. But this is the type of experience that every horror should be able to deliver, and I feel it delivers it on an epic scale.

    Regarding gameplay I found it very similar to the first, characters navigate through a maze like linear world solving puzzles and kicking ass to unfold a cinematic story. The environments are absolutely gobsmacking and whilst there are strong periods immersed in beautiful environments and landscapes, you find yourself mostly navigating through a world far more grim and unsettling then the first. And this works, it totally does to deliver a truly horror filled experience. I found at times some of the subplots or searching of abandoned buildings for supplies felt a little long distracting from the main narrative. However there was no way I would not want to play the subplots or not search extensively for supplies to craft weapon upgrades and is a good reminder that we are playing a video game and not watching a film.

    I found without the violent death of Joel within the first few hours playing, the game may have never gripped me as tight as it did and have me wanting to progress relentlessly like I did. And I think had they created a sequel where neither Ellie or Joel died they would find themselves tiptoeing in similar ground. Well done Naughty Dog, get over it review bombers.

    Halfway through the decision to cease gameplay of Ellie and control Abby Joel’s killer, at first shocked the crap out of me. I felt a moment of reluctance to continue, however I felt myself soon in a position where I did not want to let Abby go. Amazing turn of events to experience within a video game and I think one that helps build such a memorising experience.

    For a game that follows such events as it does within the story I couldn’t think of a better ending, it was powerful and felt every way satisfying to close out the 30 hours or so of absorbing gameplay I had just immersed myself within.

    Just like the first this game exceeds the realm of traditional gameplay and delivers new heights of story telly much more aligned with cinematic experience and that’s why I feel it lives up to the first.

    If you enjoyed everything that was shocking and innovative about the first whilst appreciating this is a sequel trying to deliver the same experience, I don’t believe you can be disappointed. Get it regardless!!    … Expand

    The graphics, gameplay, sound design and environments are fantastic as to be expected, so I won’t really cover them, as story and character development are the contentious points.

    I actually really liked a number of the new side characters, primarily Jesse, Dina, Lev, Yara and Owen - with Tommy also a great, but familiar face. Spoilers from here onwards

    Characters:

    Jesse at first seemed a bit bland, almost as if he was there to fill space, but he started to really grow on me, as someone who truly cared about his friends.

    Dina had a lot of personality in my eyes - she was confident despite hardships in her past (such as killing someone when she was 10 to protect her mother) amongst other things, funny, smart, and caring - though unfortunately she never really seemed to make any decisions that didn’t revolve around her very recent love for Ellie.

    Owen was actually the one Wolf that I felt any empathy towards - he very much did seem to have a personality of his own, and beyond that, he always seemed to want the “right” choice - and was fiercely loyal to those around him. He may have been a part of what happened at the start of the game, but certainly worth noting he was willing to fight his own friends to prevent them from taking an extra step.

    Yara and Lev - these two were pretty much what kept the Non-Ellie story rolling for me. During day 1 of the non-Ellie sections I was very disinterested and wanted to get back to going after what my primary goal in this game was. But I actually became intensely interested in the story of Yara and Lev - they had gone through pain, and judgement, but had not turned hateful as those around them had done. Beyond this though, they also followed one of the key themes of the game that what you do does affect the others around you, whether it was the “right” choice or not.

    Story:

    It’s not as good of the first one - not even close. But I don’t think it is as bad as I was lead to believe.

    The catalyst event for the story is difficult to take - but makes a lot of sense in the context of past events - and tied into the theme of both revenge, and that your actions have consequences for both those around you, and for yourself.

    The throwback sequences with Ellie and Joel were masterfully done, and a real throwback to the first game. I actually think they may be the sequences that I enjoyed most - which I think is natural because the Ellie/Joel dynamic is unmatched by anything in this game. They also had some quite difficult emotional moments, as well as touching and heartwarming ones.

    One in particular touches on Ellie’s determination to find out what happened at the hospital. The results of this were a shocking plot point, but one I really felt impacted by, and which made everything that had happened so far in the game more difficult emotionally for Ellie. On the section where you are not controlling Ellie - what I will say is all that made this section at all playable for me was one particular flashback, the Yara and Lev subplot, and Owen. Otherwise I wanted to get back to what drove my for the rest of the game - the same revenge Ellie was after.

    The ending/aftermath - I’m torn - there was a lot to like about the ending, but it’s almost spoiled by one particular non-action in my eyes. I think I would have hated it if it weren’t for a cutscene at the very end, which felt very much like the first games, but with the added poignancy of knowing that the chance of what was discussed in it was taken from them.    … Expand

La falsa publicidad en los trailers haciéndonos creer que Joel nos ayudaría en el viaje, funciono bien, todos estábamos hypeados, y con razón. El juego es un 10 de 10 en gráficos, sonidos, paisajes y todo lo estético, pero en la historia es literalmente un 5 por debajo casi llegando al 0, los personajes son buenos pero se sienten vacíos y que duran tan poco en la historia que solo tienen 15 minutos de gloria antes de que los maten de un tiro en la cabeza o lo muerda un chasqueador. En mi opinión el juego termina cuando dejamos de usar a Ellie y empezamos con el trasfondo de Abby, y ni hablar de cuando tuvimos que usarla para pelear contra ELLIE, casi matandola y con la triste e inesperada muerte de Jesse, el cual le agarre mucho cariño, en ese momento solté el mando y me negué a seguir jugando.

    I think the story is a little jarring at times and sometimes frustrating. But I felt it was bold and creative, I suppose empathy and grief are the main emotions here but also life, innocence and acceptance nearer the end. It's a very personal experience, not for the light hearted.
    I was genuinely surprised after I completing it and checking online to see other responses. Didn't quite believe "betrayal and disappointment" that people were posting. But to each their own. I enjoyed it and hope others did too.    … Expand

    I didn't get the hatred over the game, I enjoyed every minute of it. The first one is one of my favorite game, and I had very big expectations for this game, but Naughty Dog delivered beyond this expectations. I get an emotional story with as much challenging gameplay as the first episode had, so thank you Naughty Dog for this experience!

    TLDR: Worth playing!

    I've waited with my review until I had played the game till the end. I don't get all the flamewars about this game, it is without a doubt one of the most beautifully crafted games ever on the PS4, the detail level is insanely high, and the gameplay is top-notch. You might not agree with the plot, and the all RAW emotions and the revengefulness that fuel the    TLDR: Worth playing!

    You might not agree with the plot, and the all RAW emotions and the revengefulness that fuel the main characters and the ending, but that does not mean it a bad game, it simply means that you don't like games that depict how real life could play out after a cataclysmic event.

    But I also saw deep love and real friendship in really bad situations. It makes you question yourself... would you have done differently given the same situation?

    My guess why the rating vary so wildly? This game requires a mature view of life that is probably too much to ask of young people today. (I'm 55)    … Expand

It was one of the best games of this year I think the problem with the low audience score is that audience was overly attached to Joel and were heartbroken to see him gone in the first two hours but his influence still drove the game forward. The Ellie section was great the Abby section was kinda messy but still had some awesome and gut punching moment. The ending was bleak and sad and I loved it Overall I think every one should try the game once before judging it too quickly… Expand

    I liked it, despite the different agendas. I do not think that this game needs to be set to 0 out of 10. TLOU 2, as for me, surely pulls on confident 8.

    Definitely in my top 3 games for PlayStation along with Resident Evil 2 Remake and God of War. Some gameplay is annoying- with trying to find the exact spot to press triangle and progress the story but overall mechanics and story are excellent. I’ll have to wait a few years to replay though since it’s emotionally taxing. I can’t wait till they make this into a TV show!

    I don't get why people hate this game.You can't just say it's a trash game if you haven't played it.If those people played the entire game they would understand why this game is a MASTERPIECE.From me this game receives a 10/10

    Where do I begin with this game? Let's start with the good. It is beautiful. The audio is good. The numerous options for game functionality allow you to make the playthrough as comfortable as possible. The acting is performed well, despite the material. Kudos to you, Laura Bailey. The problem is that by the time I got to Abby's part, the repetitive gameplay (mechanics) had gotten a bit tedious. Then there's the main issue I have with the game, the story. The story is absolute trash! For a STORY-BASED game, this clearly ruined the experience for me. Abby, though well-acted, is a TERRIBLY written character. She is unlikeable, and the attempts to get me to like her failed miserably. Another "tell" that the story is bad is the fact that the game is too long. Averaging at 25-30 hours, as opposed to the 15-18 in the first game, you are left feeling drained and completely unsatisfied. I feel my time was completely wasted. I would not recommend buying this game at full price, if at all. To those out there who are still curious about the game, I suggest either viewing a playthrough on youtube OR waiting to buy the game after it's been discounted at GameStop (at least by half). DO NOT PAY FULL PRICE FOR THIS GAME. After my first playthrough, I rated the game 6/10. Now that I've played AND viewed the game a number of times, I can't give it higher than a 5/10. The gameplay had very few improvements over the first game, and that wasn't the most praised aspect of part 1. None of the characters, beyond Joel, are really that likable. This includes Ellie. The story doesn't make sense, especially after learning what Naughty Dog was trying to say. That's all I can say without spoiling anything.....more anyway. Naughty Dog, you dropped the ball on this one.… Expand

The gameplay always keeps you on your feet and ready for more, each encounter you get with the characters is never a dull moment because they can play out in so many different ways and the graphics are absolutely stunning. Although the story isn't liked by many because they killed off joel in the very beginning and then make you play as his killer you start to feel empathy and passion for abby throughout the story especially when she meets lev and yara. That is when she really starts to change, although I can't say the same thing for ellie it is very emotional having to see her go for this quest for revenge and face off against abby after all that you have been through with both characters. The thing I really didnt like though was the ending. Although I'm glad that abby survived I feel like all the things that ellie has done and been through was for nothing. She killed all those people and in the end she cant even kill abby. But other than that this game was an emotional rollercoaster and I never had a dull momment with it.… Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
