So, I just finished the game and I have mixed feelings about it, the graphics, design are incredible, although the gameplay is not very different from the first, because with all the time they had could have added more elements. Let's talk about Joel, I understand that the idea of he ​​dying could happen sooner or later, but the way it was it seems that they wanted to get rid of him as soon as possible just to fit Abby into the plot, they could have written a better story about how he would die. Gameplay was good in the beginning, but oh boy, how did it get repetitive, an infinite loop to do the same things over and over again, and getting Abby to forgive Ellie twice is kind of stupid isn't it? at that moment, in that world, it was a beginner's mistake and everyone knew it. Now talking about Abby, I don’t think it’s all bad to put her on the plot or even make us play with her, but man, what a boring gameplay, in the first moment until 1 hour after starting to play with her I wish I had stopped to play, just one key moment was to kill that infected giant, which was different and really interesting, why after all this time there is just few variations of infected? They tried too hard to make a good plot, and forgot the rest that could be much better. I finished the first game 6 times, and in this one I have no desire to play again, It's heartbreaking to see how they ruined the story, I don't care about the political agenda, but how hard you tried to do this and forget about everything else, so there’s no comparison with the first game, my grade is based on the first game it’s a 10 and this is a 2, so don’t keep thinking that gaining 95 of the critics who gained early access to the game is better than us who paid $ 60 on it . My expectations were high, TLOU will always be one of the best games for me, but this one is close to the worst, The best reviews are from IGN Japan, Game Revolution, your real grade from the Critics should be 70… Expand

    In my opinion, it is one of the best game in 2020 year. When I was playing the last of us 2, I felt a lot of unexpected emotions. Naughty dog, great job!

    The game's story is indecisive at large, a lot of people love it, a lot of others hate it.
    The intro of the game is by far one of the most amazing entry's in video game history that I've seen with the amazing cinematography which seems to be inspired by Hideo Kojima's famous MGS5 one-shot cut scenes.

    The story itself is all about revenge, it's dark.
    The game isn't meant for everyone, the story it entails is dark and heartbreaking.
    There are some character deaths which has sparked controversy, which I myself personally found amazing as I filled up with hatred to continue the rest of the game.

    Personally, I love the story, but even if we take away the entire story and just focus on the game play, I would give the game a 7/10. The game on Survival is BRUTAL, It's exciting and makes you come up with hundreds of new ways to play the game. If you see a user score of 0/10 or 1/10, you should best leave it ignored, the amount of graphical achievements, art direction, game play, animations, they're way beyond anything I've seen in gaming.

    This game has surely surpassed technical leaps, to give it such a low score is disgraceful.
    While I do think the first game is better than the second one story wise, overall my experience in Part 2 was a lot more fun due to it's flashed out mechanics.

    This story is all about moral choices in a world that is cruel and you should ask yourself....Would you personally end the cycle of revenge?

    Just cause the game has characters that you love, doesn't mean they're safe, nor should they be perfect as people want them to be, and that's the beauty of this game, it's real and raw with emotion.

    It's a masterpiece for me, not meant for everyone.    … Expand

    DISAPPOINTING. I made an account just to give this game a review. How could they go from such a good first game to such terrible second game. The graphics were ok. The pacing was terrible. The gameplay was ok. The story was GOD AWFUL. The story was so bad I wanted to just stop playing. I’m actually mad I even wasted my time finishing this game. Going to try and get a refund.

They actively deconstruct character from the last game and make them do/say stupid thing to tell a pitiful story. if you love the first game, don't play this. You're gonna very disappointed

    Great graphic and animation, I had quite a lot of small bug but it's a stable game.

    If we talk bout how it’s look it’s brilliant, no discussion for that; but there Is so bad and character and storytelling; also the message behind all don’t compare with the end and part 1. And how the Producers act with us Fans! We made the rich and big; not only the Games; The Uncharted Series are amazing and one of the Best Games worldwide, also The Last of Us 1!!     El juego es asombroso y sus mecánicas y cada detalle el nivel de calidad de las cosas, la banda sonora , la historia me encanto por completo hubieron muchas escenas que no me espere, 100% recomendadisimo puedo decir que es hasta mejor que el 1er juego, la historia habla de temas mas profundos y oscuros y te hace ver que la venganza con lleva a mas venganza

TLOU2 checks all the boxes that a mediocre game is expected to have:clunky controls, cliche story lines and longer than it should have been.     Only redeeming quality of this game was that the gameplay stayed the same as the first game, which should have been improved on considering the 7 year development gap. It's obvious that the studio left as it reflects in the writing and character development. Good job in destroying a world gamers loved, I'll be doing my best to pretend this game never came out.

    The Last of LGBT II - good story to kill series forever. Druckmann wanted to surprise us; he succeeded. The whole game was accompanied by a persistent sense of disgust and nausea.

Nobody is talking about the mechanics, the animations, the tone, the music, the locations, the graphics, the gameplay. Everybody is focused on the story. So the game is perfect in a game-wise sense and the story has gotten so many people affected they can't shut up or agree about it.

    That in itself is a feat worthy of praise. I am too a bit disappointing Ellie had to share the spotlight, personally I'd rather see a focus on her and Dina's story, but I can see what Naughty Dog tried to do, and their intentions are magnificent. Playing the game like a candle burning at both ends is a narrative experiment I really like, even though it hampers the pacing a bit. Having both main characters fight each other fit the story, but it was really frustrating as the player because I didn't want to do it. I didn't want to, just like the characters are conflicted about the whole ordeal. That's genius.

    Overall, gameplay, music, voice, acting, tone, setting, graphics (those locations man, oh my god). All of it is STELLAR. The experimental choices made are divisive, but I for one am grateful a AAA Studio like Naughty Dog dares to shake things up.

    See, the first game had zero expectations and hit huge. It had all the freedom to do whatever it did without anyone knowing what to expect. All these years later, people claim fierce ownership of these characters and no matter what they did, some people would turn out to be disappointing anyway.

Me pareció una verdadera cagada, una pérdida de dinero y tiempo 7 años esperando por esta porquería por Dios, como pueden pasar de un juego tan extraordinario como 1 a hacer esta terrible estafa en la segunda entrega, como se les ocurre matar al protagonista de la historia de forma tan absurda, lo hubiesen quitado de la historia de forma digna se retiró al exilios ya no quiere combatir, quiere otra vida o muere luchando de forma digna, pero matarlo de esa forma realmente a un niño se le ocurriría una forma más inteligente de hacer una historía para un video juego, y eso no es todo el final por Dios, que clase de final absurdo estupido, aventurarse en una historia de muerte matanzas para que al final dejes vivir al villano?     This is The Last Jedi of video games. It's the Terminator: Dark Fate of video games. This is a story based game first and foremost where the main characters are very important. The game play comes second. So the story is what makes or breaks a game like this. We all fell in love with the story and the characters in the first game, but in The Last Of Us Part 2 you hate the story and the treatment Joel and Ellie gets. Both their characters gets destroyed. Joel and Ellie are totally out of character in this game and doing things that contradicts everything we've learned about them in the first game. The new main character is totally unlikeable and a complete failure.

    The music is good, the graphics are good, the voice acting is good, but it all comes down to the story and that fact is that the story is a complete failure. Naughty Dog has a done a game for themselves and the woke crowd on Twitter. The game is not for the fans of the first game. They took all the things fans loved in the first game and destroyed them and replaced them with a progressive agenda.

    My interest for this game died about 2 hours into the game when there is a key event in the game that will upset the fans. Prepare to get your expectations subverted. After that I was not engaged in the story at all, I didn't care what happened and the attempt to get you more involved in the story backfired totally. For the rest of the game you really are just hunting down people to get revenge and in the end that is also a failure because the ending is not at all what you want as a fan. The developers totally missed the mark on that too.

On the other hand the graphics are beyond beautiful it can at times put red dead redemption 2 to shame. Combat is still the same which was fine as well.

    This is a great game with a great story, great graphics and everything else we could expect from a AAA title. It was worth the wait.

    I don't wanna spoil anything, but this by far the most realistic experience I've had playing a video-game. Everything from the motion capture performance to the smallest little detail in the environment, to the suspenseful music... Well done

    Звук - шедевр.
    Боёвка - ну очень крутая. Играйте на предмаксималке и вам просто придётся и ближний бой подключать и стелс и пострелять от души.

    Так что ребят. Быдло, которое посмотрело летсплей и поставили низкую оценку за лгбт э, открываю тайну - лгбт там от силы 3%!!!! Максимум! Игра вообще не про это.

    Желаю вам пройти первую часть, пройти вторую. Получить налёт ужасного послевкусие в хорошем смысле этого слова и не слушать Дебилов блогеров которые пытаются выехать на поливании гавном таких хороших игр.

They worked for 7 goddamned years for this and they're not like Ubisoft where they release an Assassin's Creed once a year. Joel would've died anyway, don't matter that a bunch of people kill him or some infected or he simply gets old and die. Joel's death was the most important part of the game. But what is more important is that is got me to feel for who I thought was the villain in the game. I am happy that both Abby and Ellie lived but breaks my heart that she lost her family. The only slight problem i have with this game is the way the story is handled, that doesn't mean i dont like the story because i do but there is a very clear difference between the previous game and this one. Because of it being a the last of us game where we could at the least play with ellie and it is a techincal mastepiece i give it an 8. If the game didn't obligate you to play with abby and let you play with joel this would have been perfect… Expand

    Déçu, énormément déçu, rien à voir avec le mouvement de masse des haters, juste le jeu c’est fade, sans fond, un sois disant monde d’exploration qu’il n’est pas. La seule exploration c’est fouiller des maisons qui se ressemblent toute. Des personnages avec un background nul. Une narration Ok tier. Pour faire cour le seul point positif c’est les graphismes pour une PlayStation.

ND apparently have no idea what made the first game so great, which were the interactions between Ellie and Joel, without this the game would have been just another generic zombie game.     This game is absolutely beautiful. The scenes are fully fleshed out with no space wasted and the story is fantastic. Though this suffers from the same issues as the first game, mostly the combat and enemy variety is lackluster and sometimes frustrating. If you liked the first then you'll enjoy this too. Со смертью лучшего персонажа умерла и игра, Элли не смогла заменить протагониста первой части, а путешествия и вся лгбт-нудятина с подружкой и их неинтересными "отношениями" ни в какой счет не идет с путешествием и реально развитием отношений старика и девочки в стиле дорожного приключения. Первая часть основывалась на взаимоотношении двух разных персонажей, они находили общий язык, поддерживали друг друга, что вторая часть просто взяла и растоптала. Вы хотели сделать хорошую игру? And then do a part 3 where Ellie would head through that journey of finding Abby for the last time and killing her , ( because of all the images of Joel and stuff in her head) and finding a reunited group of fireflys in Santa Barbara with new ways of living unlike what we’ve seen with the WLF and the seraphites I would be comfortable with playing half game Abby and half Ellie till the point that they finally meet up and Ellie kills Abby… Expand

    Indeed, the game offers almost none new gameplay mechanics. AI is tweaked, some new enemy types (not much), some non-linear maps and that is it.
    The experience here is 100% same as in the first part. The plot has some weak points too - predictable moves, stupid actions of the characters. It is still a very solid game, worth playing. But I understand why people hate it so much.

    When the game starts you see many improvements to the core aspect of the game with a more open world rather than the normal linear formula that Naughty Dog is known for. This is pushed further thanks to the amazing graphics something that the original achieved also however Naughty Dog has improved further on this.

    The biggest fault comes with the story. While other games may get away with bad stories a game that is based around its story and what made the original such an amazing game faulters hard. There is so much missing it feels like the story was a rush job created on a SFJ groups homework page. However this is made even more apparent when you take into consideration that amount of detail in the world and its surrounding reaching borderline obsesive. The story on the other hand seems an after thought not the main focus. Even when characters die thats it. Characters that die are forgotten just as quick as they were there. There is no detailed respect show for there deaths and no second thought. This makes these secondary characters none essential and no emotional link is ever really made.

    The plot of the plot is just 0 out of 100,000, genius **** Build relationships throughout the first part and then crap everything in 2 hours. Bravo!!

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.
