    Loved it. Don’t agree with the ending, but every other aspect is phenomenal. This game has to be experiencer solo, which is why for the first time ever, the critics are right and the youtube streamers are wrong.

    The graphics are stunning, the story is gripping, dark and tense and the gameplay is perfect. I would highly recommend this game.

Я не могу понять ее трагедию, т.к. нет привязанности к персонажу настолько сильной как к Элли после первой игры.

    И конечно помимо повесток о круге насилия, мести, перемести в игре уделено много внимание и другим существующим проблемам. В игре очень тонко и ненавязчиво рассказывается о проблемах ЛГБТ, правах женщин. Все это мастерски вписано в игру, не режет глаза и главное является частью персонажей, не отделимо от них, т.е. сущность самих персонажей. И обойти эти важные темы никак было нельзя, нам все это заявили еще в первой части. Конечно мир в реальности был бы куда более жесток и кровожаден. Элли и Дину бы избили, если не убили после поцелуя в баре, Льва бы тоже сразу убили, что в прочем в игре и пытались сделать, а терпеть Эбби и других тоже бы не стали. В мире постапокалипсиса с правами человека туго. Но тем и лучше для нас, ведь сейчас в мире более лучшем, чем раньше и лучше, чем может нам сулить существуют такие гениальные авторы, которые могут вываливать на нас огромные философские рассуждения в играх и двигать наш мир вперед к открытости, свободе, уважению, толерантности.

    Нил Дракманн очень смелый, дерзкий человек, который безумно нужен этому миру, он делает мир лучше и запускают общественную дискуссию. Дракманн, тот кто срывает покровы ложной политкорректностис людей заблудших в дебрях старых догм и показывает этих личностей которые из-за зашоренных взглядов тормозят общество, и в прямом смысле убивают своим отношением других в нашем реальном мире, но теперь у нас есть возможность показать людям с дремучими взглядами, что они не правы. Дракманн это тот самый, один из наших спасителей, новатор, с нетерпением буду ждать его новых проектов.    … Expand

    Is it as good as the first one? In terms of story, no. But that is a near-impossible bar. But the gameplay is absolutely heart-racing. It takes what was great about the gameplay of the first game and ramps it up on every level. And even though the story wasn't perfect, I found myself completely invested - especially by the end.

    I rate the game separately from part 1 because I never played part 1. I just watched a summary of the story from part 1, so I understand what happens in part 2. So I can rate the pure game without having to compare it with part 1. I played through the title on "normal" in about 21h!

    Let's anticipate the positive: The graphics, sound and the ambience of the environments are really on an excellent level. Most of the work and is definitely in the 3D models and mapping. The different areas in which you move around are quite varied and beautiful in themselves. Especially the woods are beautiful and invite you to stay. The first 2 hours of the game are very captivating and you definitely want to know what happens next.

    Unfortunately, these were all positive things that come to my mind at first go.

    Up to the point where it happens you realize how deep and touching the story could be. Exactly at that point the story stops for 16 hours. There are always flashbacks, some of which are totally irrelevant and could not really contribute to the story. What was even more annoying was the Xth review of the review. In general I find it absolutely annoying even in movies when you try to explain something by looking into the past for the 5th time. I find a constructive story much more understandable than one that looks back and forth. Many flashbacks could have been finished in 5 minutes. Many of these retrospectives were only artificially extended in an outrageous way. I often forgot what happened 6 hours ago, because I've been loitering and killing stupid enemies for hours. Of course there were always short story moments in between. But if we are honest, they were extremely rare and quickly forgotten. The last 2h were really exciting and very well staged. If I break that down I had about 4h of good moments and 17h of running from house to house and killing stupid enemies. The idea of the story is unfortunately nothing special! Person 1 kill person 2 who totally liked person 3 and person 2 wants revenge on person 1. I mean we often saw and played exactly that way. there were not really any twists or surprises during the whole story that would have been good for the story. The end was already relatively clear after 2h and came 0 surprisingly. In the end, it would have been better to add more twists and push the whole story to 6h or 8h and not extend the whole crap to over 20h. I would have preferred to have 8h of action and story all the way through rather than having to wait all the time. The part with Abby was, I think, also much too long.

    If you want to talk about the opponents and the AI, you have to say clearly that I was not challenged much. The AI of the people running with us is on the level of a toast. The AI runs into the middle of the battlefield and stands in the middle of it until you attack. Even worse are the enemies that were right in front of you and the AI that runs with me and does exactly nothing. Whether they're human or zombie. Although the AI has often flanked in battle, but that was often easy to avoid by just lying down in the grass. Often I had the problem of missing ammunition. Especially before the few boss fights there was much too little ammunition. The rat king just annoyed me, because I went into combat with barely 20 shots in total. Sure, it could be that I stopped trying to find every boring house at some point but you never know when a boss is coming. The only thing I found cool was that you could always play stealth or aggressive.

    You can't complain much about playing. The behaviour of the character while running, running, climbing etc. was really well implemented. The technique with the rope was really very good. But that was the only technique you seemed to rest on. At some point the rope throwing became really boring. The weapons in general are varied and it always makes sense to use different weapons on different opponents. The skill tree was interesting but not really decisive in the fight.

    So what can you say as a conclusion? The game is good but unfortunately story-wise much too boring and playfully much too monotonous. After a certain time you only run from house to house or floor to floor and kill and plumb. In between there were always some short story moments. The idea of being able to play the antagonists half of the game is good, but it was just annoying here and was much too long. If I use the 100% rating scale, I would give the game 69%. The game only shines graphically but otherwise only very rarely in the story.

    Jogo incrível, lindo e muito bem feito. Os gráficos são perfeitos e a história é muito cativante, ela te prende em cada momento, não é exaustiva e te intrigada cada vez mais. As outras produtoras deveriam aprender a fazer jogos como este. Tudo o que o final da geração precisava.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I feel some of the utterly scathing reviews for Last of Us Part 2 are disingenuous - but not unjustifiable. The game simply does not live up to its predecessor in terms of story. Returning characters are badly written and the majority of new characters are instantly forgettable. The ending offers no real narrative or emotional payoff making you ask yourself “What was the point?” This lack of closure makes the violence feel perverse – falling into the clichéd “violence for violence’s sake” trope.
    Where this game does shine is of course in its visual presentation. The game is stunning to look at and can be forgiven for acting like it knows it a times. The mechanics are immersive (while perhaps repetitive) and the AI is for the most part excellent. Inclusion of new in depth accessibility options feels like a real game changer which may prove to be a staple for future AAA titles.
    As a massive fan of the series' first iteration this is an imperfect game with painfully apparent flaws, which undeniably falls short of the mark. The game somehow teeters continuously on the edge of breath-takingly good and gut wrenchingly bad which feels like a feat in and of itself.    … Expand

Only going to say that people who are hating clearly didn’t understand the message and story that the naughty dog team where telling. Everyone is annoyed at the death of a beloved character, this death ( tho is very upsetting for Ellie and the player) leads the story down the revenge arc to then open players up to the discussion of revenge: an eye for an eye and wether the idea of survival is valid.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I love the game. However, I just can't accept what Naughty Dog did with the main antagonist. Her origin story and character development was good but I don't feel great playing her for almost half of the game.

    Definitely it has different narrative, the first "Tragedy-Drama" game that I've encountered. It challenges the player's stance and moral regarding Hate and Guilt. Could have been better if players have the power to choose how the game ends. Well I guess it is what it is.

    Performance and technical wise the game is at the top. I have no complaints with these aspects whatsoever. Naughty Dog obviously gambled with this game. I wish they've found all the praise and criticism helpful for their next project.    … Expand

    This was one of the games I have been really waiting for, after part 1 was so awesome and the time that was spent on development and the overwhelmingly great critics, hyped me even more. I even managed to stay away from spoilers and videos themed around them to be able to really get into the story again and instead played part 1 again, but as it turned out that was a huge mistake.... After being amazed by the graphics, already at the beginning the conversations felt kinda odd and pretty quickly I realized why the user scores turned out to be so bad. While the depth of the first story made the game so awesome it felt like a punch in the face, what you made of it and even more so how shallow and forgettable it was throughout the whole game. so my opinion:

    pro:
    -amazing graphics
    -the soundtrack that always contributed to the atmosphere

    con:
    -shallow story
    -shallow characters
    -amateur like writing in the dialogues
    -plot holes
    - gameplay

    Why do I put gameplay in con? Its basically the same as in part one, so its OK but thanks to the pure trash that is the story line, gameplay feels more and more tiresome throughout the game because I lost hope it will turn better. And why only one point? The game isn't worth what you have to pay for it!
    In a time where even small unknown studios bring out real masterpieces and even awesome graphics are a thing that you can get in early access games for 20 bucks on steam I expect a lot more for 65€! If I just wanted a game with good graphics and soundtrack most "walking simulators" on steam would have given me more for less money    … Expand

    The Last of Us Part II is an amazing game, and the sequel with everything I could hope for as a fan after the first game. Naughty dog has created another masterpiece.

    Anyone who says anything different due to the main characters is a homophobic, misogynistic idiot and can't relate to anything other than a heterosexual man as a main character.

This game is a huge step for the industry in terms of graphics, animations levels and the amount of details there are in area, it's simply the most technologically advanced game that I have ever played and there is no doubt about it. Although you can't really say the same for the gameplay as its pretty much the same as in the first game, although there are some tweaks which have been added, the gameplay however has become way more refined and its a lot of fun to explore around seatle and have gun fights. The story of the game has been getting a lot of hate and yes it is true that the first game had a much more of an emotional story, the second one was still superb. By showcasing us the 2 sides of the story it has allowed me to actually question some of the things which Ellie has done and to also see to what extent revenge has taken over her mind. However I do feel like some characters deserved way more time on the screen, such as Dina and Jesse as I feel the relationships which Ellie had with them could have been more explored. There are also problems with the pacing of the story as it only took Ellie 3 days to kill Joel's killers and because of that it felt extremely rushed, so I wish the game was a bit longer so there could be better pacing in the game. The ending was also quite questionable in regards that it didn't really explain what happened afterwards in Seattle but it's mostly due to pacing issues. Nevertheless the game deserved to be played and its one of the best games I ever played. I can't wait to see what's next for this game and franchise… Expand

Le jeux est tout autant contemplatif que le premier, nous ne que au début de cette décennies et le je et le jeu se place comme étant déjà l'un des meilleurs de celle ci.

    Play the game, then decide your opinion. Don’t base if you play a game based off the Metacritic rating. This game is spectacular and an incredible technical feat, with an interesting story and greatly improved gameplay from the original, it’s a shame it has been review bombed.

    Somehow, in the cluster**** that was putting this horrifying creature of a game together, the developers managed to produce a title that maintains a similarly decent combat system to LOU2p1. That's why it gets 1 point in my score.

    Everything else is a joke. If you're going to make a sequel to a game famous for its story, try to make a decent story.     Amazing game as always from naughty dog. Story is brilliant and some real shock moments and yes I carried real tears at some of it. The attention to detail is amazing and graphics are out of this world and not to forget that it was done for 7 year old PS4. Game of the year for sure. Well done all at naughty dog for another masterpiece

Hated playing as Abby, didn’t enjoy one second of it, didn’t care about her and it felt as a side quest the whole time, just helping unknown kids which I also didn’t care about. Bad ending, not conclusive enough, made it feel like everything I did and felt was for nothing. And Joel’s death was too early and badly done, didn’t like not knowing why they had killed him, knew he was going to go but it should’ve been a better way. Other than that, great gameplay, graphics and music. Big mistake Neil, BIG MISTAKE... Wish I had only played the first one, masterpiece 10/10. Truly sad at this moment. A lot of anger...… Expand

    31K people are in the right track. The graphics and gameplay are stunning, I'll consider this as Bad Ending for TLOU2. You should create another version which is have a good ending for both sides and of course Joel's alive.

    Having finished the game and going back for a second play through, I am completely perplexed as to how people think that that is no story. Granted it can be difficult to follow and getting through the blood, violence and gore proves even more difficult. Naughty dog and the actresses/actors have done a truly amazing job of conveying feelings so few of us really experience the story is there it's just a bit disjointed. I recommend a second play through at the least to really see that story. The only reason I gave it a 9 instead of a 10 is that there were a few glitches which slightly affected the impact of the game overall. (Dinas arms disappeared for a bit)… Expand

    This game is AWESOME in every way. There is nothing I would change except for close combat because Ellie feels a little too weak and dodging is not my style but except that, it is a masterpiece and most people who gave it a low score didn’t play it.

    The game clearly was not meant to please hardcore fans, but it offers an experience that feels unique, powerful, and devastating. Capturing how uncontrolled feelings can consume us. I loved the story and found the gameplay highly addictive.

    You don't owe Sony or Naughty Dog any of your money or your time just because you liked the first game (I loved it). Save your money. Send a message. Don't be a sheep to a corporation.     Stunning visuals, amazing storyline and storytelling. It gets challenging at times but it's worth it. I feel sad for everyone who can't enjoy the game because they let their hatred control their life. Anyway, I strongly recommend playing this game.

The section where you play as Abby is an insult to player and fans, trying to convince them that someone as her has any sort of redemption and making players play as the killer of the beloved main character of the previous game, ND didn't understand how yo make a good "play as the villain" story/sidestory. The only really good thing, besides the upgraded although almost useless gameplay, are graphics which don't make a game and should be considered just as a bonus. Making a character that we loved into a a terrible human being and giving us plot interests that .. just never become interesting. The start of the game is too long winded, there is too much exposition and set up and when you sit down and really think about it, the game is a linear regression in comparison to its origin story which was what made you want to go through the game sections in the original, you was rewarded with more story .. here you don't want to be part of either story or game, pushing forward just feels like pushing a knife into your own stomach. I am hoping they get to make a third .. because if they're using the star wars model like how it feels they are .. then the next game is the return of the Jedi of the franchise and I can't wait to see what their version of an ewok is ... Groot probably.. in keeping with the plant/spor theme. Anyway .. I can't recommend this game, I can't say don't play it either because ultimately the only way your really going to know if you like it or not is to play it for yourself.. but don't say you wasn't warned.… Expand
