The plot, which is truly the only point to play this game as the gameplay mechanics are insufficient on their own to keep people interesting, has some serious flaws.     Extreme poor writing plagues this game with very uninteresting new characters and shallow character development (both new and old characters) which is all tied together by a generic gameplay
    The graphics are gorgeous, but that is the only good thing about it
    Don't waste your hard earned money on this dumpster fire

    I truly did not enjoy this game at all. I don't see how anyone can claim this game improves in gameplay f the original. It has several sections that are just painful and at best it feels mundane. A few times I started thinking about other games like "Hey this is like a Metro game without any of the good fun aspects".     Most depressing game of all time. Nothing good happens, it is just violence and more violence. First game was also depressing but this is on whole other level. Also, all characters from first get Last Jedi treatment. Stay away from this, we play games to have fun not to feel like **** afterwards

    Oof. What a mess. Loaded to the brim with agendas and what can only be described as "woke-ness" at the expense of the game and its story.

    90% of the enemies in the game are straight white males (the worst of them are crazy Christians, of course). Shocker. Dreary to the point of making BvS look like Sesame Street. Violent and brutal simply for the sole purpose of making the player uncomfortable. Some of the better things about The Oppression Olympics Part II are:

    Outstanding graphics - Absolute top tier visual presentation.
    Sound - Brilliant audio design

    That's about it. Gameplay is OKAY, its not bad, but like the first game the main draw here is the story and that's the problem: the story sucks.

    The characters do things that either don't make sense or are entirely out of character. Example: Joel lowering his guard and trusting a group of "I-hate-you" faced strangers and giving them his real name. Then they kill him. Yes Joel, the guy you went on an incredible, emotional adventure with dies like a b**ch early into the game. Unbelievable. Then you spend some time as Ellie, an 80lb girl that regularly overpowers 240lb, fully grown men. Lol. Then you get to play as Abby, the woman (???) who kills Joel, for a good part of the game. None of these characters are likeable. Not even Ellie. The soul of this series is dead.

    This is a game that revels in its ugliness and its misery. It delights in its portrayal of cruelty and brutality without acknowledging its repercussions. It prides itself in portraying the absolute worst in people, all the time, without end to the point of destroying any likeability that any of these characters could have had. It's bleak, poorly written, pointlessly violent and excessively woke.

    There's also a "love" scene between Neil Druckman's digital avatar and the "woman" Abby.

    I don't want to think about this game or about anything Naughty Dog might make in the future. Disgusting game, made by disgusting people. Horrible experience.    … Expand

    The actual gameplay, and there isn't a great deal of it, is boring and sluggish. The controls just don't feel responsive. The combat isn't anything special and you're fighting mostly humans the whole game, and some undead too.

    The only good thing to come out of this game I'd say, is that it's now been made extremely obvious how bias the shill media are. They want their early review copies for clicks and views, they want their trips out, they want their freebies. If it wasn't obvious before, it is now.

    For me, The Last Of US's story ends after the first game. Don't waste your time and money on this one.    … Expand

    But no, it was real, and it was what they had intended.

    Now, let me get to the story. Absolutely Horrid. What part one's story had as a story of hope, this utter mess had destroyed to become some sort of social justice public announcement. Again, I was instantly turned off by what the story had become.

    Now, the gameplay to me in the original was always secondary to the story.
    Slow paced, hide-and-seek, limited ammo gameplay. Nice, but not its saving grace.
    It is basically the same with few nice new features.

    Graphics are amazing as usually, but the disaster of a story and cringe cutscenes and agenda pushing messages won't save it this time.

    Avoid this game at all costs if you enjoyed Part 1. This is a bastardization of the characters you knew and loved. There are long and boring areas and several hours with nothing to do at all except search hoping to advance the story. But trust me on this, you don't want to advance the story. You want to request a refund immediately.

    un 7... porque direis? es muy facil
    a nivel visual el juego es excelente, no se puede negar
    a nivel jugable casi excelente, lastima del abuso de spamear cuadrado a todas las cosas
    a nivel de historia es... PARA MI horrible, el hecho de matar a Joel de buenas a primeras a manos de Abby y luego tengan el valor de forzarme a jugar con ella para que entienda que es "victima" de las circumstancias....
    desde el momento en que se mata a Joel ya sabes de sobras que Abby no te va a gustar, es mas cuando la volvia usar, lo primero que hice es dejar que me mataran como 20 veces.
    pero para mi el punto clave es el final, el hecho de que Abby y lev sean capturados y luego Ellie vaya a por ellos, nose, chirria demasiado, es como si hubieran hecho un primer final (trozo de la granja) y luego de golpe digan, sabes que? que no, que vamos a sacarnos este final, con el "gran" combate final entre las dos chicas, hagamos creer que por fin Ellie va a eliminar a Abby, aparezca un flash de Joel, y decia no matarla.

    como he dicho antes, PARA MI un insulto de historia, pa que cojones haces todo lo que haces, si luego no cumples con lo que te has propuesto?

    ademas que para mi, el final bueno lo tiene Abby, que sale viva, con Lev y se piran, mientras que Ellie que le queda? dos dedos menos, con lo cual no puede tocar la guitarra (hola? has provado a hacerlo con la izquierda?????) por ello la conexion con Joel se muere, Dina y JJ ya no estan, con ello a perdido a su amor, y el hecho de ser madre junto a su amada, apra que? para nada, un desastre de viaje por parte de Ellie que no tiene ni pies ni cabeza.

The detraction from the story by woke politics throughout the game completely ruins any story telling and makes it unbelievable and unbearably bad...

    People who can't make a good story should have no business making a game that's heavily story oriented. Killing off your main character in a way that is without the least bit of honor and then making the player play the game as your main character's murderer is utter garbage.

    This is a game that happens when the developer's passion is the political ideas about sexuality, gender-power, gender-role, SJW-communities overrides his passion for gaming.
    This is a game is the same version of movies that include LGBTQ/Asian/Black for the sake of "Diversity" and empowering gender-role and his LGBTQ-fantasies.

Doesn't matter how much you dress up the package with nice graphics and decent gameplay, the core of the experience is the story in the Last Of Us franchise. Naughty dog fails to deliver a story halfway decent compared to the firstI feel like naughty dog is mad at us for liking the first game. The franchise was what it was (before this game) because of the narrative of the first game. Doesn't matter how much you dress up the package with nice graphics and decent gameplay, the core of the experience is the story in the Last Of Us franchise. Naughty dog fails to deliver a story halfway decent compared to the first game. Even if for some reason naughty dog just had to kill Joel off, this has to be worst possible way to do so. What makes this game utterly garbage for me is the fact that you are forced to play as this new character at times which you despise because you liked the first game. The game could have been a lot better (still not the perfect) if you were allowed to play as Ellie alone to hunt down Abby and not have her run over all the characters like a jacked up deranged maniac. I would be happy if this game was erased from the canon and chalked up as a mistake. Naughty Dog forgot the fact that at the end of day, people play games for fun. There are plenty of ways to tell a dark story while ensuring the experience is fun to engage with. This game is not fun, you were correct in saying so Niel druckman. I honestly could not be more disappointed in this game; I could understand their decisions early on but to have us play as the last character left that we have an emotional attachment to and then SWITCH halfway through and make us play as the enemy and force her storyline on us to make us feel bad is absurd. You even play as the enemy and hunt Ellie... and if she kills you, you lose the game. The ending is absolutely atrocious too, it's not even a payoff in a sad way... it's just no payoff at all. I absolutely loved the first game but this one made me sad I didn't just watch streamers play and save my money.… Expand

    A game that cancels all the good things and sense of hope created in the first, and throws you into a even more negative and inconclusive world.

    Let's kill Joel after 2 hours and turn Ellie into a cold-hearted avenger; let her kill countless people, including pregnant women; let her lose her girlfriend, friends and even two fingers for nothing. Because hey, at th very end of the game why not to forgive Abby after all!
    Yeah Abby, the most unappealing character ever created, the one responsible for Joel's death, and that the creators try to picture as "normal" or "right" in her point of view when you are forced to play with her for 50% of the game.
    I cannot even imagine how to feel something positive about Abby, playing with her was an absolute torture!
    And you know what? You wanted o create a game about Regvenge instead of Hope?
    Ok, but at least give me the CHOICE of killing her at the end!

    There's no freedom in this game, you're just forced to walk back and forth from point A to point B, where nothing, or nothing special happens.
    Killing Nora? Owen an Mel? Who cares about them.
    Flirting with owen at the Aquarium? Urgh.
    Helping Yara and Lev for two extremely long chapters? A gimmick to have Abby look "positive".

    But no, let's place it in Seattle, a city overrun by nature (what an improvement, never seen that before!) with only gray and green colors, filled with the same generic thugs and factions (again, who cares about them?) and the same monsters from the first game.
    Shamblers? They just look like Bloaters.
    Stalkers? Advanced-infection Runners.
    Rat King? Bloater + Stalker fused together, how original!
    The cult Colossi! Male and Female, both using the same weapon and moves! Great game design here.

    The game is also very predictable.
    Everytime you have to go from point A to B, you see your destination in the long distance, and nothing really happens in between.
    They also abused stuck doors here. Let's push them and be prepared for an enemy ambush/QTE, or a noise that triggers the monsters.
    Enemies are also stupid af, you can do 90% of the game in stealth mode without firing a single bullet, unless the game forces you to do so.

    "Forces", yeah, the game forced me to play 28 hours to hope that something happened, but left me empty and disappointed.

    As a game on it's own merit i'd give it a 5 but due to false marketing, disregard for it's fans and a myriad of other issues i'm giving it a 0. After all, if it's ok for 70 out of of 100 journalists/churnalists to give it a perfect score then i guess it's ok to give it the lowest possiblle score. That's what happens when you don't play fair. And even though Sony censors the slightest half-nudity in every other game imaginable, we get to see a graphic sex scene involving this new TLOU2 protagonist - but it's not the kind of sex scene anyone would ever want to watch. Which is why it gets a pass, I'm sure.

    It all feels similar to what Neil did with the Uncharted series after he forced that series's creator, veteran female game developer Amy Hennig, out of the company, because he's such a self-proclaimed feminist don't you see. Nothing can get in the way of Neil and his faux-progressive agenda, even if he has to break the backs of all the famously overworked employees at his stolen company, Naughty Dog. He even inserted himself as a "trading card" you can find in TLOU2, in which his comic book character "Dr. Uckmann" is described as a super genius (10/10 intellect score) and leader of the "New Dogs." Which really just says it all right there.

    The "game" itself is just a typical modern walking simulator shoved in between ELEVEN HOURS of cutscenes. In which the player is forced to kill people and animals and then made to feel bad for doing so, even though you had no choice, because there's no real player agency in this "game." Remember when video games used to be fun? Oh, I forgot, Neil literally said he and the "New Dogs" never use that word. Yes, seriously. Look it up.

    И на самом деле обидно: все силы были потрачены на техническую сторону игры: все эти анимации оружия, кровь, кишки, трансформеры и голые сиськи Эбби - это совсем не то чего просили фанаты первой части. Картинка конечно симпатичная, но по технической составляющей очень далека от того же Red Dead Redemption 2, а от последнего Uncharted 2016 года недалеко ушла. Второй части в идеале в принципе быть не должно - история первой имела своё логичное завершение, да и геймплей с 2013 года не шибко изменился.

    Здесь в принципе даже близко ничего революционного и интересного нет: большую часть игры мы проводим в лесу, болотах и как правило в одиночестве. Несмотря на свою продолжительность персонажи никак не раскрываются, да чего уж там, Тесс, которая была пару часов из первой части была раскрыта лучше чем ЛЮБОЙ новый персонаж второй.

    И что имеем в итоге? Бездарный сюжет, унылые персонажи и чернушная чернуха с "правильным" подтекстом. Все эти 10/10 и сотни наград от критиков - всё это фальшь не имеющая ничего общего с реальностью.    … Expand

    What a disappointment. The story shoots itself in the foot in the prologue and right when your getting used to the limp it pulls the rug right from underneath you half-way through and pins you on the ground for 10 hours.

    The first game made me want to be a father, this one just makes want to kill myself, literally. If you have depression I wouldn't recommend this game.
