    Story is amazing, some people are upset because something happens that is shocking but makes complete sense in order to drive the story forward. Most of the people upset are incels, homophobic, or just lack the brain cells to understand story dynamics.

    The game is about hate and consequences, and in the real world horrible stuff happens if you like it or not. This is about that reality.     Excellent and mature game. You have to get out of the bubble to fully understand this game. Perfect graphics, sound effects and music. Great work from the mixing team. A great story that presents several layers of depths, rarely seen in the world of games.

The story of revenge and the costs that come with it in the world of the game is bleak, depressing and very engaging and realistic. The story, mechanics, graphics and everything has been refined and improved. BUT as expected all these adult male man-babies are sooooo in thier feelings that "Social Justice Warriors" destroyed "thier" franchise and have purposefully tanked the user ratings as they said they would because thier small brains can't handle the though of lesbians or trans people in video game stories or SHOCKER - a 60+yo man who BARELY survived the 1st game dying in the sequel. It would have been very unbelievable if that character HAD survived. It was an amazing, gut wrenching and very realistic catalyst for the story to go where it went. An improvement on ALL accounts!… Expand

    Excelente escenografía, detalles de luz y particulas. Mecánicas e inteligencia artificial muy pulida. Exclente giro en la historia, dramática, firme y cruda... aunque varias cosas dolieron y chocaron muy bien argumentado el contexto humano y la diferencia entre las perspectivas de vida y vivencias de los personajes.

    TLOU2 has surpassed my expectations. After playing through the game on the hardest difficulty, it easy to understand what make this game so great. Every moment feels tense and emmersive.     “Bad” is NOT: this character died but I wanted them to live! “Bad” is NOT: you play as female characters the whole game and that’s stupid! “Bad” is NOT: there are gay characters in it and that makes me feel weird! “Bad” is NOT: things didn’t go the way I expected!!! 0/10

    Those complaints are the epitome of “I didn’t get what I wanted.” And that is fine. It sucks to be disappointed.

    But that does not make something “bad.” This game is simply fantastic. The world-design is beautiful and the environments are detailed and varied. The voice acting is alarmingly naturalistic and the writing is realistic and relatable. The story is compelling and the characters are incredibly engaging. The gameplay is fluid; during combat, the enemies respond to your choices organically and realistically.

    This is a game that Naughty Dog clearly put a LOT of effort into. And I’m sorry it you “didn’t get what you wanted.” But.

    I am giving this a 10 just to offset all these low scores from the neckbeards THAT COULD NOT HAVE POSSIBLY FINISHED THE STORY IN THE AMOUNT OF TIME THE GAME HAS BEEN OUT!!! Instead y'all most likely read a Reddit post about it and think you have it all figured out. For real I'm ashamed to be part of this generation that whines and complains if something isn't exactly to their liking. Just like many, when I was playing it through and it switched to Abby, I had a very sour view of it all. Some, as well as myself, regard the first Last of Us game as the one of the best played. In the first game, we fell in love with the characters and especially the chemistry between both Joel and Ellie. And like a massive punch in the gut, we had to watch Joel suddenly seem out of character in helping Abby and was pummeled with a golf club in the first two-three hours of the game. I was distraught and utterly disappointed. However throughout TLOU2, it made me feel. It was an experience where I was in the shoes of both Ellie and Abby. With everything the game illustrated about the revenge cycle, it made me realize as much as I wanted Ellie to kill Abby ... it would’ve made no difference. The last fight between both Ellie and Abby made me feel extremely uncomfortable, and I was finally able to see Ellie was absolutely entrenched in her own guilt of losing Joel through the whole journey. Right when Ellie was about to start up her father-daughter relationship with Joel again, Joel murdered the next day. To this, the utilization of the central song (“If I ever were to lose you ...”) almost wraps the whole journey of Ellie’s together. In the final moments of the game, I was able to feel how lost and empty Ellie must have felt. Sure. It wasn’t an experience I was expecting. Initially, it wasn’t one I was enjoying either. I would’ve instantly loved it if the game went as I expected. But, happily ever after was never what TLOU was about. Though we fell in love with Joel and Ellie, the first game made us oblivious to what was happening outside of a certain scope. Seeing into Abby’s story was a slap in the face. But for me, it was almost needed in order to understand the world outside of Ellie and Joel’s relationship. Most of us agree that the visuals and the game mechanics were stunning. And props to Naughty Dog for all the accessibility options. I rated it a 10 because I’ve never had such an experience with a game before. It’s a bitter game but it’s one where I really understood and soberly felt what Ellie was going through.… Expand

    If you do something this year besides playing Animal Crossing, let it be this game. You can’t compare it to any other game; it excels in gameplay and story. I finished it over 2 days because I couldn’t put it down. And I still haven’t been able to stop thinking about it a week after finishing it.

    Gameplay is solid and story is strong as usual. In reality I’d probably call it an 8 or 9, not as good as the first, but since it’s getting reviewbombed ill keep it at 10.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
