    Another masterpiece from Naughtydog! The gameplay loop is engaging and enjoyable the entire time, the environments are open enough to make you feel like you have freedom. The visuals are the best I've ever seen, and it's using 7 year ild hardware. The story is amazing too! Telling an heartfelt story of revenge and how anyone can be seen as a villain when you only get half the story.

    Pasando mas a fondo el juego es bastante crudo y te da a entender como actúa el ser humano en momento de crisis.

    The story is phenomenal with loads of twists and turns. Graphics are cutting edge, same as TLOU part 1. I love that Ellie has a love interest and the twist in that relationship. The spoilers leaked misled loads of players. There are some changes made to the playability and controls. Some I'm not a huge fan of because it throws me off but the others are a long time coming like the abilityThe story is phenomenal with loads of twists and turns.     When I first played The Last Of Us in 2013 for the Playstaion 3, I was like 19 and thought it was the best game on the planet. Now, I've played it 2 in the last two weeks; once for the store, and once for the Grounded Mode gameplay. There were things that I still LOVED about the game, like how fluid it was and how well written/spoken the characters were. While Uncharted's Nathan Drake was a treasure hunting serial murderer with no regard for human life, Joel was a tired, grieving man who felt as though everything is did was to protect and survive. But while Uncharted has a ton of monotonous climbing (albeit with a few scripted moments to keep things fresh), The Last of Us had annoying Ladders and "drag this over here" moments to pad gameplay. It's kind of ridiculous how often you had to pick up a ladder just to literally walk it two **** inches from its destination. AND THE PALLETS, OH GOD THE PALLETS... But the combat and story is where the game shined. The shooting and aim was pretty rough, but the combat was still one of the best experiences I've had in gaming even after 7 years of playing better games. While it couldn't hold a candle to the recent God Of War, it was so crisp when youd throw a molotov at a small group, dip behind cover and choke a guy out, take out a guy from across the room with a boy and then finish of the last guy with good old-fashioned fists. It was nice how every fight felt a little different. Sometimes youd push a guy off some stairs for a kill, or smash their head in if there were against a wall. It was brutal, intense, and impressive when you think about how far this game pushed the limits of the PS3. And the story was so incredible, it really didn't need a sequel, even though fans of the game, including my 19 year old self, really wanted one. Watching Joel go from brooding and dark to tragically optimistic after a year with Ellie was tear-jerking, while watching a Ellie go from snarky and quick-witted to tragically hopeless because of Joel was gloomy and perfect.

    The Last of Us 2 is amazing.

    While the story isn't amazing, I think it needed to happen. The was playing the first game with my roomate in the area, and she constantly was like, "So do these characters just get to walk away from all this with no consquences whatsoever?" And it raised a great point. After beating the original Last of Us, questions I hadn't considered as a teen were raised now. Could Joel just walk into a hospital, kill a ton of innocent people, and walk out of it to start a happy life with Ellie and not be held accountable in any way shape or form? And if he could, is that really how life works? Would Ellie forgive him for robbing her of being a sacrifice for a cure to an apocalypse? What would the dynamic be after that?

    The Last of Us: Part II answers a lot of questions and raises a few more, and while the story takes a bit longer to wrap up than needed to, the overall message is clear.

    I've heard a lot of review talk about how they became unphased and deafed by the gore and blood this game offers. And honestly, get the **** over it. If you could watch scenes from The Walking Dead, or play Mortal Kombat and go "awh man, I gotta see what happens next," then dont tell me about how the gore was too much for you. It wasn't that bad, I've seen much worse, and if games are designed with the idea that they will become increasingly cinematic and realistic then all this game does in the realism department is take a big step forward. If bloody games bother you, maybe play Pokemon. They have new DLC.

    To people saying the characters don't make good choices, and that Ellie isn't the same. No, of course Ellie isn't the **** same. And if you take time to consider the fact that she was dragged across the country at the age of 14 by a guy in this 50's who's capable of murdering hundred of zombies and people with only his fists and a few handcrafted shivs ALL so that she could find out she's actually NOT able to save the planet from a disease shes immune to, you might be able to understand why. I haven't come across anything that made me go "now why would they do that."

    Also, if you watched the trailer of Ellie kissing a girl and went "why is Naughty Dog pushing a gay agenda on me?" then just don't play this game. Its cast is a lot more colorful and progressive than any game thats ever been out, and if youre upset by that idea then save your money. But in my opinion, it was going to happen eventually and I'm glad Naughty Dog got to steer it in a nice "not in your face but this is happening so get over it" direction.

    I wasn't HAPPY about some of the things that happened in this game, but I understood why they did. I think its time to open your eyes and stop thinking about what you would have WANTED to happen, and what actually makes sense.    … Expand

    I love it. Its dark. Its brutal. And it feels Real. I've played the first one Back in 2013. And i think the second one is just as good. Overcome the hate. Give it a chance. Politics aside. I was here for the second Part of this Story. And i got it. And it looks Beautiful while it breaks my heart. Just Play it for yourself.

    I hate that people think that this game is bad without even playing it. I am not implying that none of the people that gives bad reviews have played it, I’m just seeing a lot of it. The gameplay, the story, the acting... all excellent. Naughty dog really are the best game developers in the business. Oh yeah and for the people who have a problem with the “major death”... get over it. It’s the developers story and they gave it justice. Absolutely heart wrenching. I strongly suggest playing the game for yourself and experiencing the beauty of TLOU2. It was worth the wait and worth every pound spent.… Expand

Couple this with the fact that the game developers force SJW and liberal political views down your throat, you get a horribly crafted game. As a huge fan of the first game, this was a massive disappointment. Never putting my trust in Naughty Dog again.This is a joke of a game.     So far I'm about seven hours into the game, and I'd say that if it keeps up at this pace, I could see myself liking it more than the first. I should also say I'm a huge fan of the first game. It might be the best narrative in a game I've played. So possibly liking the sequel more is saying a lot.

I think most of the low reviews are from people who just play until that sad and twisted scene but I don't understand humanity... People want video games to be more realistic and sad but true that's life... In a blink of an eye you're gone. I know, some people even claim that Joel is te best character ever written but be honest what end do yo think will suit better? This is not uncharted people! The dark world that Druckmann created is wild and brutal so that's what he and his team still gives you in this masterpiece. Game of thrones did this many times before and I don't remember this kind of bombing. And about the complaints about this game being "woke" man... Look around you... The World is changing in a accelerated way we need to move with it good characters don't need to be of some specific sexual orientation some people may say that's not the matter but I read a lot of comments throwing hate to Abby saying a lot of homofobic things... And that's messed up. Just to end this personal opinion I may say it's groundbreaking the work and effort Naughty Dog put into this it's truly amazing and I didn't spect less from that monster of entertainment. And one last message to the people who has doubts about the game : leave all prejudices behind and most of all leave behind all the people who's trying to mess up the game. the game is truly amazing...     I am heartbroken, I have waited many many years for the sequel to my favorite story driven game of all time just for them to botch it hard... I wish I could get a refund.. I played the first one at least 5 times and I can barely get through the 2nd one.. if that says anything.. games beautiful though... story is some fake woke bull crap that I understand

It's mainly a bunch of soy boi betas with an outstanding amount of Cheeto dust in their neck-beards, that can't wrap their mind around a game studio not giving them the EXACT story they wanted.     You know you have a bad story when it uses the death of pregnant characters and animal cruelty to prove its point. The game starts with a contrivance and takes the amazing characters from the previous game in an uninteresting direction. The game makes this pathetic attempts to guilt-trip you with character development... sorry bad character development in flashbacks after you have already killed them and thinks it has done something profound. This game **** up the basic rules of storytelling , the thing that made the first one a masterpiece. It shows you violent actions and death of characters first then followed it up by flashbacks fleshing out their history , lovers, friends and consequences of your action. This approach does nothing to sympathise them and takes away from all major story moments of the game. The game gets intense and exciting a few times during combat especially against the first few encounters with the scars a human faction in Seattle. But otherwise, the combat is really uninteresting and seem oddly restricting and old gen even at the end of this one,.Ahh...yes the decisions these characters make are bad at best laughable, and contrived at worst. I would praise its sound design , level design and graphics but you already know its good it's an Nd game after all. But the major strings that hold the game being Its story and considering what came before, this game is definitely a disappointment… Expand

    Best game of the year until now, but nothing new about gameplay. Naughty dogs repeated the same formula from others games like uncharted. The game is better like a movie than a game. The direction could win some oscars instead best gameplay of the year. Sadly we have to see a lot of haters giving bad reviews for nothing.

    I'll make it short. Don't listen to the people and play it for yourself. As a fan of the first game that knew about leaks, I was still optimistic about the part 2. Result? I was more pleased than expected.
    In my opinion, this game require open mind and interest in inner parts of the humans (No, not organs. I mean psychological components) to be able to fully appreciate the story and    I'll make it short. Don't listen to the people and play it for yourself. As a fan of the first game that knew about leaks, I was still optimistic about the part 2. Result? I was more pleased than expected.
    In my opinion, this game require open mind and interest in inner parts of the humans (No, not organs. I mean psychological components) to be able to fully appreciate the story and themes that are explored here.
    Cons: Some parts (game-play) felt repetitive, yet, not to the point for it to be a big issue. Also, sometimes it felt like the game tried to explore too many topics (in order to expand the world). Other than that, I'd still give this game a solid 9.6/10.    … Expand

    Technical masterpiece but bad story elements. I spent 80$ on this game for a great experience but all i got was disappointment. Bad character development insulting attitude from Neil and the actors blaming bots for poor reviews. The game is average at best. Too bad what a waste.

    A masterpiece. The story is a hard to swallow pill but reflective and so far extremely captivating. The details are incredible, not to mention the amazing graphics. Give it a go, instead of mindlessly trying to corrupt the review score of this game.

After playing around 17hours so far, I can honestly say that this is a brilliant game. I can admit that other than Ellie, I haven’t really felt for the characters in this title like I did in the first. Even the bad guys made me pity them in the first game. But that does not mean that there is nothing that keeps you emotionally attached, far from it.

The brutality of humankind is never ending, always reaching. Honestly one of my favorite parts of the game was Ellie's Journal. Fantastic writing that gave great depth into her character. Now with Abby's purpose to show the viewer/player that Ellie and Abby are not good nor bad. We are all **** killing other ****. I will be playing this again and again because the characters and story are addicting and I just love the tone. Endure and survive are out the window… Expand

It’s gameplay does not differ much from its predecessor apart from a dodge button and a jump button, my only complaint with the game is the story the first half where you get to play as Ellie where you try to get revenge for the murder of Joel is its best part but after you kill Nora the game does a 180 and you play as Abby arguably the worst character in the game. Not only that she kills Joel Ellie father and probably the player’s favorite character. Playing as Abby was unneeded and kills the pacing which is the worst part of the game there’s fun parts here and there but it only picks up again when you take back control of Ellie the ending could have been so much better than it was. All of the buildup of killing Abby, Ellie finally gets her chance and she backs out because she wanted to stop the cycle I guess. The ending would have worked so much better if she killed Abby and came back and realized she lost everything for petty revenge. In the end this game could have been so much better but the developers wanted to try to humanize Abby which ultimately ruined half of the game other than that this game is a pretty good and I would recommend it for hardcore fans of the series.… Expand

    As someone who is normally a fan of Naughty Dog games and of the original Last of Us, I feel this game is a slap in the face. If you enjoyed the first game because of the story, characters and relationships, this game is not for you.     Really good gameplay, poor execution of the plot, making it impossible to see it as a part 2 of the series, i was really enjoying the gameplay though, but then my horse glitched and i could not play anymore, so yeah, pretty bad. At least i could pet the dog.

I liked the gameplay when playing as Ellie, or someone who wasn't Abby, but I hated playing as Abby, I was frustrated every time I played as her, and it was hard to keep going because I was playing as the character that killed Joel, the only thing that kept me going was thinking about playing as Ellie again. the great feeling that I got while playing part 1 cause it was such a great story, I only had half of the time in while playing part 2. the story sucked, and I think Naughty dog should have done better, I paid 50 euros for a great story playing as Joel and Ellie since they're in the trailer but ofc I end up playing as the poopiest character half of the time, and I didn't have the feeling of joy once while playing as Abby.

It’s a solid 9 or 10 ! graphics are next gen, gameplay is better than the first one, only critic for the game is a lot of cut scenes. It’s set in Seattle maybe that’s why these trolls are so upset.

    The Last of Us Part II is the high point of the PlayStation 4. The plot is controversial, but the game is the incredibly addictive adventure of Ellie, from which it is impossible to pull away from the opening and to the very end.

    Not everyone is going to enjoy the motives of The Last of Us Part II. But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.

    If you loved the original for its great characters and well-paced story – stay away from this game. However, if you’re aching to sink into the depths of depression, or just want to cut some throats and burn some zombies – Part II will deliver. [Issue#247, p.72]
