    The visuals are the best of ANY PS4 game... period. I didn’t know the system was capable of graphics like this. If you told me it was PS5... it would trick me.

    Now, the story does not draw you in like the first one. You can tell it’s a much weaker plot, but it’s no way the worse I’ve experienced.     The gameplay and combat is tight. It feels very responsive and perfectly tweaked.

    Overall, I think the user Metacritic score is too harsh and the professional critic scores are too high.

    At this point, the story would have to go off the rails or level design fall apart in the later part of the game for being rushed for me to have a different view.

    One of the best game i ever played ... i really dont know why metacritic continue with this people voting 0 or 1 xD Its impossible a game like this have 0 or 1 rated, only toxic pleople and people without brain can vote that.

    Es hat eine super Grafik sowie Spielwelt. Die Charaktere sind super geschrieben und gut dargestellt, die Story ist auch gut ab und zu zeigt es leichte schwäcenh und der ein oder andere Bug ist auch da. Trotzdem ist das Spiel super und meiner meiner Meinung nach das Geld wert. Alle die die Story haten haben das Spiel entweder noch nicht gespielt oder erzählen scheiße, es sind aber auch nur Meinungen aber es ändert nichts daran das das Spiel super ist. Auch das enttäuschende Ende ist zu Kritisieren da es gut getan hätte Abby zu töten um Joel zu rechen, da das Ende meiner Meinung nach anders sein sollte ist bestimmt auch die Meinung der anderen.    … Expand

As a developer it feels an immense pain in heart seeing your game being hated by so many people out in the wild. The game in which you worked so hard, took care of every little detail and ensured that everyone could play this game by giving upto 60 accessibility options being hated by such a large amount of public could make any man go feel worthless and sad. First of all kudos to all the people in Naughty Dog who worked day and night so hard to make such a great piece of art only to be hated by public just because it got spoiled. The ethics and morality of people have fallen to such great degree one can't imagine. People flooding with negative reviews, even when they haven't purchased the game and not experienced every character in it. I have even asked a man if he had played the whole game, to which he replied, "nah! I watched few you tube videos and this game is **** Despite living in a world where proverbs like Don't judge a book by it's cover or One man's trash another man's treasure are prevalent, but it seems they are just mere words, whose importance and meaning no one understand. There are many things in this world many events, that people disgraced and hated at first, but over time people came to knew that they were utterly wrong and hate themselves for criticizing for what that people or events which were so beyond that time that they were classified as total nonsense and madness. Flat earthers, people whenever they heard long time ago that earth was sphere by some fellow who knew what others can't ever think of in their life, just laugh at him and call him a mental fellow. But with time, the whole world knew they were wrong and he was right. But they can't do anything except sobbing and showing remorse, because that fellow is no more then. Heliocentric model of solar system is another example and story of Nicola Tesla and Edison is another. Over time we came to knew the reality, and how these people thought way ahead of their time, and gave us that knowledge which seemed like pure fantasy stuff.
    Last of Us 2 is one of them, and i can't explain how brutal but impactful and captivating this game is, and i have never played something like this ever in my life. The first game showed us the story that everyone wants, a loving bond between 2 people who don't know each other but still put their lives on tip of knife just to protect each other and have a happy ending. The second game continues on that impactful story, just this time we see a story that everyone gets. When it's pandemic, the world is destroyed to a extent in which last of us take place, their are no heroes and no villains. Life is equally harsh on everyone, and no one has got special powers so he can never die. When there is such a pandemic and you lost your loved one forever, you don't see who killed your loved one, you don't care how big noble person he is, it doesn't matter to you whether he was just defending himself, you just see him as your enemy and that whats this game is all about. Due to the pandemic, the people ethics have fallen to lowest level, that is they only care about whom they are familiar with, and that is the first level of caring. People watched the original game story from Joel's perspective, but if you make a player play the story of abby's only from part two, who has no prior experience or knowledge of part one, then for them Abby is a hero and Ellie and Joel are villain. Cause in this pandemic when everything is harsh and brutal, you only have your family and friends whom you can trust. And even when they die, you are just left with remorse and thirst for revenge. With no moral or crime system, people are free. And this is what part 2 shows us. It doesn't tell the story of one person only, but thousands and thousands of other people too, who are just looking for a reason to survive too, and it want to establish a fact that no one is a HERO, everyone is just doing, what a normal person would do on that particular event. The whole game is beautifully crafted. Being able to save myself from any kind of spoilers, i enjoyed the game to it's full extent and every second cinematic feels 100% true, except few sex scenes which could be true but were inappropriately added, which just soured my experience, everything else was what Naughty Dog is renowned for. I specially like the character Lev, and he just made me remembered of Ellie, who just protected herself and Joel, but this thirst for revenge only made her a monster. There are many things in game, which are so deep in meaning but can't be recognized by every player. Due to words limit i have to finish writing here only, but if you are one of those people who hate this just because of Opinions, then you are missing a great experience which you will never be able to experience on first place, as you are spoiled.     Graphics are amazing, but the game is far too long. More, the story is very confusing and very detached from the first game. The enemies are seemingly psychic, which breaks the illusion.

But honestly, if the developers want the audience to feel attached to a brand new character, that’s what they have to do. It’s a bit overboard for someone like me who doesn’t really see this much LGBT representation in media, but I see what they did and I respect it. If something happens to Dina, how do they expect the audience to feel something for her they same way if something were to happen to Joel or Ellie in the first game? There’s a lot of people that love the game, they’re just not the one searching the internet for spoilers and the opinions of others, and are currently still playing the game for THEMSELVES.… Expand

    An uncomfortable gameplay mechanic that show killing each other violently in detail manner with a full of dark, violence & sad story is not a game at all, it is a devil and abusing experience. It is abuse not just 1 hour, some more    I hope this is Naughty Dog LAST super violence, brutal, dark and sad game!!!

Вы не замечаете прекрасной картинки, огромного технического труда, красивого дизайна мира, живых персонажей, чувственного сюжета и взрослого. За каждый поступок следует наказание, которое Джоэл и получил, а в концовке получила и Элли. Я люблю Джоэла, я рыдал, когда его убила эта баба, но когда я дальше прошёл и понял причину, то осознал, что это полностью вина Джоэла, он сам на это решился в первой части и получил во второй. Игра имеет огромный моральный посыл и после концовки даёт поразмыслить над произошедшей историей. Элли мстит за Джоэла, так как и Джоэл хотел спасти Элли в первой части, он убивал всех без раздумий, только ради неё, потому что любил её. Во второй части она не смогла спасти его, но решила мстить и также без раздумий убивала. Как Джоэла настигла кара, так и Элли. Эта история очень крепкая и намного взрослее, чем в первой части, которая была построена на любви и привязанности, на детской восторженности, даже во время апокалипсиса. Во второй же всё наоборот: грусть, отчаяние, безысходность - всё, что преследует тебя по прохождению. Элли уже не маленькая девочка и она полностью осознаёт всю угрозу этого мира, всю его опасность, теперь нет места восторгу, теперь только выживание... Эта часть прекрасна, все кто её засрал только из-за ЛГБТ-повесточки - те полные кретины. Игра взрослая, кроме Эбби, у которой огромные бицепсы и трансгендера, нет больше ничего! Ориентация Элли ещё в первой части установилась и в дополнении ''Left Behind''. Так что ничего удивительного в её отношениях с Диной нет. И место в Сиэтле.. Там и в реальной жизни есть такие же указатели, флаги и т.д. Боже, стоит только за что-то ухватиться, так сразу все начинают срать продукт, несмотря на всё остальное, видя только сраные повестки! Люди, вы не в себе, лечитесь, а игра отличная, безумно рад, что она по сюжету именно такая, это всё приводит к логическим завершениям.     Dont listen to these negative reviews, they were done by people who 1) havent even played the game or 2) havent finished it. Now while I havent finished the game I can tell you that so far the game has been a masterpiece from the intense situations and the story so fa. Great controls and visuals with certain RPG elements. I cant wait to see how the rest plays out.

I played TLOU2 and i have mixed emotions.First,after Joel death all i want was to kill Abby,but after finishing Ellies part and start playing with Abby i felt sorry for her.You can care a lot for Abby, at one point i was scard she will die by Ellies hand.
    I suggest playing or watching a walkthrough of the entire game before you judge the game just because of Joel death.And one more thing stop the meme s with lgbt persons.    … Expand

    After finally completing the last of us 2, after a 7 year wait, I can assure u I was not dissapointed. I’m going to keep this review more brief than others and won’t be discussing any story spoilers. I’ll be going through 3 main topics. 1. Graphics. 2. Gameplay. 3. Story. Again, these will be brief Graphics. There hasn’t been a game on the ps4 or ps4 pro that looks as real,smooth and clean as the last of us 2 does. The first one set it standards high for its time just as this one does here. The motion capture is phenomenal to the point where I forgot I was watching a game. The detail in all the characters faces were just impeccable and have not been competed by any other game yet. The physics is a big part of the graphics imo and excel to the point I was jaw wide shocked. No game has competed with these graphics

    2. Gameplay. 1 issue, and the only one, I had with the first game was the gameplay at times could be a bit dull. It was rare, but I found myself doing the same things over and over again. So I was worried for this new games gameplay system. I didn’t think they would do a good job, but I was wrong and believe this is the most realistic gameplay ever. The melee weapons feel heavy and clunky and I couldn’t help but notice the extreme levels of details all animations, swings and such went too. It was extremely satisfying to get the last hit of a machete to the neck of an enemy.

    3. Story. I will say it now, I have never been so shocked and moved by a story to date. The way this story moves forward is so unexpected and is similar to the writing you see in masterpiece movies. The story introduces some new characters that you get attached to instantly with well written writing. Escpeiclaly a new main character/villain follows ideas that are just as noble as Ellie’s. I could go on and on about the story, but it is different and I don’t think a game will ever get as good as a storyline than this masterpiece.

    Verdict. Last of us 2 is a game that excels in everything the first game did, and then some. It’s truly the greatest in most of its aspects such as gameplay, story and graphics. Last of us 2, in my opinion, is the greatest game of all time, even slightly better than its predeseccor.

The script and character were just as well written as the first. To be honest, the arc was just a little more pleasing on the first, but hey... it's pretty much impossible to step into the same river twice.    This game was just fine.

    Story-wise, If the first Last of Us was Star Wars, this is not The Empire Strikes Back... it's Return of the Jedi.

    About as good sequels can be.

    I give 8 only for the technical level, from the visual point of view and the details and probably one of the best games of this generation. But the plot is obscene, with neither head nor tail, the little interesting could easily be inserted through a 5/6 hour dlc.

    Around half way through so far and have to say its great to be back in the tlou universe again. Loving it and cant wait to replay. Has the emotional kick in the teeth that was to be expected. Can't say more without spoilers.
    If you are a console gamer then there is no issue with the play style but if your main is PC you may have a few issues at first.

Я специально не следил за игрой и не смотрел трейлеры, кроме анонсирующего трейлера с выставки декабря 2016. Эх, был такой хороший проработанный персонаж непростой судьбой потерял дочь, потерял подругу(партнера) но обрёл можно сказать приёмную дочь и смог спасти и защитить все то что смог обрести правда высокой ценой. Сценарист(ы) мог(ла,ли) если решили вывести его из игры дали бы умереть ка… Expand

    The last of us part two is far from bad game on what the reviews are saying. This game does what it did in the first game and expands upon it. Though little but it expands enough making it feel fresh and way more satisfying. You can jump now! Jumping in a more realistic way to navigate and explore environments feels amazing. This game does what it did in the first game and expands upon it. Though little but it expands enough making it feel fresh and way more satisfying. You can jump now! Jumping in a more realistic way to navigate and explore environments feels amazing. Yes, more games have jumping but it just feels natural in the last of us part 2 and more believable then the jumping in drakes uncharted. We can prone and be more stealthy through grass which gives the game a way better vibe for us stealth players because we all know that you should stealth kill as many people as possible before you spray your bullets away. The A.I is much better than in the first game and everything gets a lot more realistic and believable once you ramp up that difficulty. MY favorite part is you do not need to head shot every enemy even though that is much more effective because of the one-hit kill. You can shoot them in the stomach and the NPC’s react as if that hurts and stuns them giving you time to run up and kick their ass face to face with Ellies knife. The open areas are bigger than in the uncharted los legacy. You can easily find the hidden areas by reading letters you find. Posters on the wall. Even just finding them yourself. You can find a key with the name of the store on it and go to that store to get nice little details getting you to know the characters and how Ellie has developed as a person over the years and her relationships with the people around her. (I can explain more but spoilers would happen.) The little details shine here also because if you look at Ellie's face as she is impaling a human’s neck with her knife she looks as if she is cringing at what she is doing. She does not seem to enjoy it because she is used to killing for survival not for revenge. She is not this angry person killing indiscriminately, she is going after this one group and this group was known terrorists. The military, when they were in power claimed them to be terrorists just like the fireflies that were in Boston. We learned from the first game that these groups are fighting for the right reasons but are going about it the wrong way, killing innocent people along the way thinking it justifies their actions because they got back at the people that are trying to control them, keeping peace. Obviously the military are not the good guys either because they have had to sacrifice people by removing them from the colony in Seattle for petty little crimes like “stealing bread” (random example) because they were running low on supplies and were finding any excuse to boot them out. Which in turned fueled the WLF and aided them in taking over Seattle’s QZ. I could go on for days about the story but again I am not spoiling anything. Character development, story, execution, and pacing are done well here. Clearly naughty dog has learned from there other games and it clearly shows. Also for replay value you can ignore the exploration zones and complete an objective and just progress the story which is nice if you want to complete the harder difficulties with more of a challenge because you have less supplies and certain upgrades that make life easier. In combat we ask if something is not broken why fix it, just expand on the mechanics and that is what they do in this game. The gun upgrades and skill upgrades are more impactful and make your character even more bad ass even though it can just be from less weapon sway or even a six times scope on your rifle. The shotgun is brutal and shreds your enemies with ease. Melee weapons feel like they hurt and have you cringing when you hear that pipe connect to a WLF’s head. Honestly, the game has you feel bad for some of these people when you see their human side and has you hate them again when you see how brutal and hateful, they can be. (I use human side because that is spoiler free way of saying they are only normal people surviving). You are constantly at a struggle to see who the real bad guys are in this game and that theme is a huge roll in the story. Which is true in real life because to me there is no good or bad just perspective and they nail it here. I could say more but you must play this game and you will enjoy it. If I say more then it will spoil key moments and game play features that you will love and enjoy more as you find them out for yourself. Its way better than the first like it should be and plays how you want it to if you are a fan of the last of us. Better mechanics, smoother shooting, smoother movement, better execution. Buy it and you will not regret it. I gave it a 8 because the game play is amazing and I love every aspect of the game but no risks were taken trying to change up the formula. Instead they made the formula better by improving upon it but that isn't a bad thing either.… Expand

    Unlike most user reviews here, I’ve actually played the game from beginning to end. It was one of the best games I have ever played in my entire life. It surpasses the original in almost every way. The characters, the story, the gameplay, the world... just wow. Naughty Dog has done it again.

    A perfect depiction of grey morality, strong drama and excellent technical performance. The gameplay is not my favorite part of the game, but it is overlaid by an ultra-cool and exciting storyline. As a person who was skeptical about sjw part I am pleasantly surprised.

    Technical 5/5: nothing to say here, simply a technical masterpiece
    Story 0/5 inconsistent narrative with poor choices, LOU II is the perfect example of how important story is for game, even with jaw dropping visuals. The reviews that compare the story to the last season of game of thrones and the latest star wars trilogy are totally correct, very inconsistent plot i rather convenient twists that betray the original nature of characters, new characters are not likable at all, and you really don't care for what happens to them. The deuteragonist concept is a really interesting one but to pull it off effectively you need way more than what was invested on abby who is just evil. Finally, the revenge is bad theme is extremely cliche, there are portions of the game where it seems over extended, forcefully running on an on around the same saturated premise. Gameplay 3/5: jumping and open levels add depth but gunplay is still blunt and abby's character punching zombies to death is a premise very well fitting for zombieland or shaun of the dead. Having to play as Abby (the director's beloved abomination) is uncalled for and in contrast to ellie and joel they seem to force you to like her through any means possible, this creates a portion of the game i didn't enjoy at all. i would like to state that i consider TLOU as one of the best video games ever made (if not the best). It is thia what brought me to play the game even after the leak scandal and the despicable attitude of an egocentric director towards those he supposedly works for.    … Expand

    Great game as usual from Naughty Dog. 1/3 of the game played, 11 hrs, not everything is perfect but it has sublime moments. Amazing storytelling.

    Pitty the haters who can't handle the adult topics in the game. Go back to CoD/Halo and try playing the game before reviewing.

    Stunning visuals, storytelling and overall ganeplay. Many controls or annoying features from the original were refined in this version (eg shiv lockpick system). Focus shifts from the daughter-father relarionship to a much heavier revenge themed story, but god damn if the writing is not just as good, perhaps even better,..Game is amazing.

    Сюжет, вроде должен быть хорошим, так как построен на ненависти. Что ненавистью не победить ненависть, но реализация ужасна! И вот почему.
    Во-первых, вроде как главный женщина по имени Эбби злодей, но Эбби абсолютно не хариматичный персонаж. Ты не испытываешь к ней симпатию. Главы с ней душные и скучные. Так же не понятна ее мотивация, ее отца убили. Но это не повод убивать Джоэла, если бы вместо нее добавили мужского персонажа, у которого Джоэл убил всю его семью прямо у него на глазах, я бы понял мотивацию убить Джоэла. Ели можно сделать так, во время схватки с ним он убивает Джоэла, это было бы очень грустно. Хорошая была бы мотивация у злодей в том,ичто он все детство жил в ненависти. У него не было родителей, его все ненавидили и пытались убить. Да всё, что угодно можно сделать, что бы это было интересно. Но разработки выбрали самый плохой из всех вариантов.
    Саундтрек это отдельная тема. Его в игре просто нет, или из редка похрипывает гитара на заднем плане. И все, никого эпичного, грустного саундтрека нет. Игра на натянутую четверку    … Expand

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then...
