    I was really enjoying this game until I was thrust into playing as Abbey. All I could think is why am I Abbey instead of joel? If I wasn't going to be ellie I wanted to be joel and vice versa. This was such a big disappointment and I couldn't even understand why this decision was made? Why would you completely discard the main character in the beginning of the 2and installment? This gameI was really enjoying this game until I was thrust into playing as Abbey. All I could think is why am I Abbey instead of joel? If I wasn't going to be ellie I wanted to be joel and vice versa. This was such a big disappointment and I couldn't even understand why this decision was made? Im not sure I've been this disappointed at a long time series sequel since Mass Effect Andromeda. The story is terrible, the path it puts you on makes no sense, the big OMG moment feels completely un earned, and the ending is nonsensical. I am truly disappointed in Naughty Dog.… Expand

    Simplesmente o melhor jogo que joguei na minha vida, eu entendo todos os fatos colocados diante do jogador, não é um mundo onde as mil maravilhas acontecem, então, sim, mesmo apesar dos fatos apresentados é uma junção perfeita de enredo, trilha sonora, gráficos e história que já vi, parabéns!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Pros: Graphics are outstanding. Environment is beautiful and in some cases as stunning and well thought out as the first game.

    The game is very lineal and tends to feel more like a hallway but the environment makes up for that. In some areas I could have spend hours exploring and wanted more places to explore.

    The flash backs of Ellie and Joel/Tommy were by far the best parts of the game and I would have played hours of just that if I could forgo everything else.

    Cons: When you have a story based game, that had a first game built on and loved as a story based game. There are always extreme expectations when you do a sequel, even when a sequel isn't necessary, you have to really pull out all the stops to make the story feel as amazing and loved as the first one. In the Last of Us 2 the story writing is weak. The game uses cheap and manipulative story mechanics to push players into feeling sympathy for Abby and desperately attempts to make Ellie into some kind of revenge monster. It disregards a fact that Abby put all her friends in danger for selfish reason. If Abby had overcome her own loss she would have never dragged her friends along with her on some cheap revenge kill. No never mind that this is the apocalypse, communication is non existent outside of CB radios.

    Yet they travel thousands of miles on foot to kill this one person that they have no idea what he looks like or if he is still alive. I digress, the game makes every effort to force Abby onto the player. Ignoring fundamental flaws in story telling. What they should have done if built the audience up first to like Abby, maybe have the players play Abby for the first half of the game traveling across parts of the US. Then once the players develop that connection, then slam them with quite possibly the worst killing of a beloved character in gaming history. For people playing LOU2 and not the first game it would be fairly easy to not see the obscenities over this death. It was sadistic and in that moment sealed the ideal that Abby is inherently Evil.

    Abby never feels remorse for her actions, despite her actions being the direct result of everyone in her groups death. Essentially her selfishness was the cause of countless of lives. She suggested torturing People from Joel's town in order to find Joel. And later in a section where you are playing as Abby there is a conversation between her and two other pointless characters where they discuss a truce being broken with the SCARS. Abby's group shot and killed children and they justified it because those kids attacked their people first. The WLF from your very first interactions in NOTHING compared to Joel's group. They are clearly violent and have killed thousands with their "trespassers" mentality. They are a shoot first ask later and it didn't take Ellies actions to cause that.

    I could go on for hours about the terrible story but lets move one. The game at times is boring. I actually fell asleep while playing it multiple times and had to literally power my way through it because the pacing was just so damn bad. There were times I would make as much noise as possible in hoes to alert enemies just so I could have something to do because despite the beauty of the environment. In the sections where literally nothing is happening there is just not enough to explore to keep a players interest. Its so hallway based and just doesn't allow you to explore these clearly beautiful environments.

    The constant fade to blacks.... I just can't, they are so beginner and just drop constantly. The reminded me of the old Batman TV cuts where the bat symbol would spin and play music at every cut. I've watched beginner YouTubers better at cutting than that.

    THE ENDING! I literally just can't with that, at all. It was so unsatisfying and badly done. I can't give too many details or complaints without dropping massive spoilers. Even though at this point, it's moot.

    LASTLY: The dishonesty! The trailers for TLOU2 were manipulated and consumers were made to believe that Joel had a much larger role than he had, which was very little. Naughty Dog pulled a fast one and it really left a bad taste in a lot of peoples mouths. They used Joel for sales numbers because he was so beloved and raw. If we were in the same situation as Joel had been placed, many of us would have been Joel and very few of us would have been Abby. That is the key point ND and Neil Druckmann really failed to understand.

    Killing Dogs. Now this part is very personal for me. I died many, many times to avoid it. I was led to believe that this would be an option in the game. Until that also became a flat out lie. Which for me immediately triggered a panic attack and was very stressful. When I was 6, I was forced to watch as my dog was shot to death in front of me as a punishment. The fact that I was led to believe that killing anything in this game is option is absolutely despicable and i should have had a warning.    … Expand

    The best game of my life. Naughty dog and Neil Druckmann did it again - absolutely mind blowing experience! Attention to details and Easter eggs are amazing, the story and characters are amazing! Thank you so much!!!

Nota 10 Cenários e ambientes nunca antes vistos no mundo dos jogos, espaços que propiciam a investigação e análise de todos os recantos do mapa fazendo não suar aquele sentimento de algo opaco e vazio. Relativamente à história em sim esta um patamar inferior ao jogo anterior da mesma franquia Contudo não deixa de ser um jogo brilhante

    Technically flawless. Great gameplay, great level design, great graphics.
    Unfortunatelly, against what the first game was, the story is not perfect, but it does make sense and has great moments.

    After checking the critics there's nothing but (wow such graphics) or (gj naughty dog you moved Gaming further then ever)
    you can find improved graphics better then this even in game like Fifa and CoD the come every year. honestly can find better art even in youtube or kids shows.

    you thing they would go for something deeper after what the first game wanted to show us
    in a normal situation it wouldn't be a 0 scored game, but expectations were high, and the fall is sadly higher.

I have read people saying to give it a chance or play it through so finishing the game today I can say that the story was poorly executed. Killing Joel early on was one thing, the manner in which they did it was not thought out at all. His death comes about from him being naive now? By trusting a room full of strangers being severely outnumbered? Like seriously? He ran someone over for merely approaching a vehicle he was in due to his lack of trust in anyone outside of those he knows. The second half of the game is very boring and playing as Abby completely ruins the momentum of the story in a poor attempt for the audience to feel empathy for her. This is just a poorly written story and honestly people should avoid this game if you are a fan of the first Last of Us. To top it off the whole campaign of revenge leads to no revenge at all and Ellie just lets her go because that's what someone would do witnessing her father like figure being brutally tortured then killed right in front of you.The director Neil Drucann is openly taunting fans and completely being immature about this situation… Expand

    This game is amazing, truly something else. I enjoyed every moment of it, even when I expected that I wouldn't enjoy a part of it, I was proven wrong. Truly a masterpiece, the story was fascinating and beautifully written. The graphics were beautiful and the soundtrack was great wanted to listen to it for hours. Great job Naughty Dog!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Honestly, to actually use this plot to the sequel of an all-time-classic game is very, very bold. Players have high expectation for this sequel, they will only be happy with whatever experience TLoU1 brought to them. But still ND let Joel died early on, let you play the murderer of Joel as second protagonist. Obviously ND would like to make a point even fully aware of its cost, and I do admire their courage. I've read the reviews, haters, supporters and critics, I would still recommend this game whatever you say.

    Expectedly, ND presented best graphics in gaming so far, with stunning artwork and design, plus runs smoothly in PS4 pro. The details of the world, stories in those little notes, graffitis, destroyed modern city sets, are truly masterpiece. Sound effect is amazing with incredible details in this game, if you notice you'll be amazed.

    Gameplay is largely the same with 1, which isn't really good or bad. The battles gradually become repetitive and uninviting in my opinion, looks to me they are mostly for the purpose of supporting a 25 hour benchmark.

    OK then the story, it shared the same issue with 1, and all other ND games - a lot of the smaller drama seems exaggerated or pushed, like watching a 7-scored US tv drama. There are choices that people in real world people normally wouldn't make, and hence emotions that couldn't resonate with players. However, I think what's admirable here is that, like all good stories, the storyteller attempted to convey something bigger than the story itself, in this aspect TLoU2 did a good job. The story dived deeply into the discussion of how different opinions among humans easily turns into fights and massacres, even among those with a kind heart, or with good intentions. The 2 protagonists share the same regarding where they came from (revenge), had fierce fights, killed each others' loved ones, fought to near death for both, and eventually letting each other go. This revelation, despite the plot holes in order to achieve it, is heroic.

    Sadly it's hard to balance everything with one story, we did lose consistent character arcs for almost all characters (some moments between Ellie and Joel is still touching), empty new characters, and insufficient explanation for players who are expecting what will happen for the world in the game. I agree with many other reviews that Abby, being both the bad person and the secondary protagonist, needs way more backstory - however also not an easy thing though. So, I think it's already a decent balance of what the director wanted to say and deliver a consistent and convincing story.    … Expand

    Es hat eine super Grafik sowie Spielwelt. Die Charaktere sind super geschrieben und gut dargestellt, die Story ist auch gut ab und zu zeigt es leichte schwäcenh und der ein oder andere Bug ist auch da. Trotzdem ist das Spiel super und meiner meiner Meinung nach das Geld wert. Alle die die Story haten haben das Spiel entweder noch nicht gespielt oder erzählen scheiße, es sind aber auch nur Meinungen aber es ändert nichts daran das das Spiel super ist. Auch das enttäuschende Ende ist zu Kritisieren da es gut getan hätte Abby zu töten um Joel zu rechen, da das Ende meiner Meinung nach anders sein sollte ist bestimmt auch die Meinung der anderen.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. If you enjoyed part 1 and loved Joel and the relationship built with Ellie then leave it at that. Part 1 had a decent ending. Part 2 takes everything you know and then throes it out the window. Joel all of a sudden trusts a bunch of stangers and gets killed in the most awful way after that the story gets worse and then worse before you finally get to then end for the worst ending in gaming history. Sure tbe visuals, the gameplay is decent and so is the audio but who cares when the story is this crap with naughty Dog seemingly hell bent on pushing an agenda no one cares about. We just wanted a story that made sense but that was too difficult to deliver. In any case once you play through this **** you will want something to clean the bad taste away from your mouth.… Expand

    My boyfriend played the original and started playing this one. For two days I just sat and watched like it was some kind of epic movie or TV series.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. First off, the negative reviews of this game I just don’t get. Sure, fans are entitled to their own opinion(s) and I respect that but with that being said so am I.

    This is an absolutely amazing game from start to finish probably top 5 ever made an absolute masterpiece for sure, hands down!!!. I found myself, after putting the controller down for a bit asking myself, is this a game, feels like I am in a Hollywood blockbuster just as I did with the first game. Sure I do agree with some of the fan’s take on insertion and the vagueness of the story without adding to overall character development however that’s not what the mission of this game was. I believe ND wanted to convey a blanket story of the overall visceral nature of revenge. Quite honestly when I heard some of the reviews that stated that the violence in this game was “traumatizing” or how some stated things such as “why am I playing this game” or “it made me feel so bad for humanity” I thought to myself “wow, what kind of things did ND put into this game” to make people say such things, then I played it. There was nothing in this game that made me feel no more apathetic or uninvested than watching an episode of the walking dead. If anything it could have used more brutality given what happens to the two main protagonists (there is a third one) however I believe ND let up on it a bit to make you feel more in tune with the struggles of its main characters decisions throughout the whole of the game.

    Once I reached the halfway point of this game ND was playing with my emotions hardcore! I went from wanting nothing more than for Ellie to bring nothing short of the worst sort of reckoning upon a group of people to sympathizing with the main “antagonist” and then eventually my emotions culminating with being torn on who I wanted to see succeed. That my friends is great story telling and writing for that matter. One thing I will say though is shame on ND for toying with us in the trailers and commercial spots. I wanted so much for that to be this mind blowing twist of events when you get to the point in the game when a hand covers up your mouth (moment from the trailer) and in fact it’s Jesse and not Joel like the trailer showed but who are we kidding, Movies do this all of the time...lol!

    After all that being said if there was Oscar’s for games, this one took every award home. Definitley GOTY!!!! Bravo NG! Please just don’t let it be this long of a wait for the third installment!    … Expand

    Dreadful plot to follow on from an amazing first chapter of ‘The Last of Us’. Rating a score of 3 naturally as the only good the game withholds, are the flashback moments we spend with Ellie and Joel, (which is not only what everyone wanted to see more of in this new chapter, but also what made the first chapter so great).

    Perfect masterpiece IMO. I've actually played and completed the game. Currently 7% of players (the trophy you get for completing the game) have actually completed it... The game itself is perfect gameplay wise and graphics but It's clear it's the story that's on everyone's mind. *SPOILERS AHEAD* - I loved the story. Again 10/10 personally. I'm glad ND didn't give away the plot point at the beginning at it made me feel something. Anger. I wanted vengeance. Only to get through the game and for ND to masterfully display that other characters in the game had real and truly captivating and justifiable motives. Vengeance goes around back and forth between these two groups. By the end, I wanted Ellie to let it go as only someone (maybe Lev) would come back for more vengeance... Right when Ellie finally has that upper hand and Abby's life in her hands... She lets go. Perfect. That's story done right. Just because people hate the painful world TLoU2 creates, just even more emphasises how good this game world was created. People confuse the two with the game itself. I just could not get involved in the game. And there is no way Joel would make a mistake like that. That was not his character.     And lastly the story... As we all know there is some big controversy around it. I really enjoyed the story. Of course, there are a few things I would change. For example, it should be more chronological so that you play with both characters on the same day. But regardless of this story is really cool and surprise you every time. I think that everything that characters did is realistic and true to their characters. 2 hours from the end I was already thinking that it is over but then another part of the story kicked in and I was happily surprised.
    Overall I can only recommend this game. It was a blast playing it and I think it changed my mindset how I am looking at the world. Thanks, Naughty Dogs.    … Expand

A great part of the players are talking bad about it because the politics and representativeness, but that things is not bad, we are all equal you know. Marvel and Dc make great movies with that theme. But this game is a continuation of a adventure game, and that's what we expected for 7 long years. Joel is one of my favorite characters in the game, and I've felt nothing with his death, because the trailers made the players believe that he was going to be present in a great part of the game, but they change skins, make trailers be a story and the real game be another. And all that violence, makes me wonder why I was playing this. Another great problem was making us play with Abby; Joel has he defects, but we liked him just for that, be a complex man that did horrible things to survive, but learn to be a human being again, being a father again after know a girl, an impulsive, charismatic and great girl. So for what in the hell we possible want to play with the woman that kills this guy? And what they did with Ellie, man, where's that girl we met before? Joel died with the impression that he and Ellie was not good with each other, and Ellie ends the road completely lost and having nothing and nobody to turn back, even her hobby she cant do anymore.In the end I thought she was going to commit a suicide with all the desgusting things that happened. Thanks to god that a friend lent me and I didn't have to pay for this game. We are in a problematic time in real life, you don't need to worsen your mental health, specially if you played the first game.… Expand
