    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Last of Us Part 2 has a complex story, and might be the best looking game of this generation, Part 3 coming soon?

    The gameplay has been remade and it shows. It improves on the TLOU1 mechanics and you can see that very easily, the gameplay easily is the best part of the game.

    The graphics are also improved heavily. Since the game is linear, they tried to make the graphics better then any other Video Games have and they achieved it.

    Now let's get into the story. TLOU 2 has a really complex story that not everyone might understand. I will get into spoilers from now so be sure to finish the game before reading my review.

    The story takes it's place during a few years. There are 2 playable characters (Ellie and Abby). At the beginning of the game we see Abby killing Joel but the game doesn't give us a proper reason till we reach half of the game. The Fireflies are gone and now there are 2 new groups, WLF and Scars (Seraphites). For the first half of the game you play as Ellie, you are on a quest to find Abby and the rest of the group that helped her kill Joel. You will go through Seattle for a period of 3 days. After you reach half of the game you find out that Abby and her father were part of the Firefly group, and that her father was the doctor supposed to make the cure for the virus by killing Ellie. While everyone saw Abby as the antagonist, she has a pretty similar story to Ellie. At the end you are playing as Ellie, everything is good now. Dina has a kid and Tommy is still alive. The last fight is Ellie vs Abby and you are playing as Ellie. At the end of the fight you nearly kill Abby but a flashback with Joel comes up, Ellie lets Abby live because now she understands why Abby killed Joel. Abby escapes and reaches the newly formed Firefly group. Ellie goes back to the farmhouse to find Dina and the kid left. Ellie goes to the guitar but she can't sing anymore since she lost 2 fingers. She leaves the guitar near the window and the game ends.

    Now here comes the complex part that i think everyone missed. When the guitar and window are focused on the screen, Ellie is seen leaving the house but in a blurry vision. It most probably represents that Ellie finally forgave that Joel saved her, and even forgave Abby for what she did. Ellie finally understood why both Joel and Abby did it. The guitar in the window means that Ellie left the house leaving everything that has happened behind and she wants to continue her life without thinking about the past anymore, she knows that rage and revenge won't get her anywhere. The story wants to tell you that we are all humans and that we do things because of our rage, and we don't think about our actions before doing it.

    The game left me speechless. Everyone has a different opinion and everyone should say it out loud.

    Historia plana y conveniente, graficos muy buenos, pero la historia que es lo que caracterizo a la primer entrega es totalmente destrozada por una nueva que te deja con un sin sabor de boca, un juego que se quedo corto a lo que prometía y que fue destrozado en parte por la corrección politica moderna.

    The plot could have worked. But you cant skip essential parts. Like first when your "protagonist" (abby) make the decision to kill cruel you must first let us give her motivation, you must make that we really feel her emotion and can understand her decision for revenge and only to say her dad was that NPC surgeon we kill in the first game is not good enough.

    the game is magnificent, a masterpiece of "Naughty dog", it has a very good story, a gameplay similar to the first but more polished and not to mention the soundtrack of the game.
    you can appreciate all this IF YOU PLAYED it to qualify
    this great PS4 exclusive is really worth playing

    Great graphics; good ost and animations; a non innovative gameplay, which overstays it's welcome and ends up making the last third of the game boring, and a story that harms it's self for the sake of delivering a message, one that could have been delivered without harming the structure nor the pacing nor the characters.

    I love this game so much. Someday people will realize that only a heterosexual relationship does not have to be behind a good script. This game showed me the bitterness of loss, and how feelings can prevail over you, both on the good side and, unfortunately, on the bad side.

This is more of a commercial for woke politics rather than a cohesive story. As a fan of the first game I was extremely let down. Not worth the wait.… Expand

    Cagaron la historia en un juego donde lo principal es la historia. Sin la historia todo lo demás no sirve. Y aclaro que no tiene nada que ver la Inclusión. La historia es una mierda enorme. Y dicen que vendió millónes de copias, claro, pues fueron las copias que pre-ordenaron, si se hubiera enterado de la tremenda mierda de juego que es deseguro nadie lo compraria.

    What a waste of seven years. At some point these AAA developers need to think about who they are making their games for. Is it for the sweet sweet critic love, or for the actual people who play the game and enjoy escaping reality. The saddest part of it all is they will still make a ton of money and just continue to make what they want, audience be damned.

    If you ruin all of Last of Us IP and horrible story that nobody care than it is a bad game. One of the worst in the gaming history. Joel and Ellie deserves better.

They do it in a manner that is maximum disrespect to the fans. This game is the worst trash I've ever played!     This game is so interesting, I almost felt like I wasn't playing the game, the game was playing with me, is not a perfect sequel, but i don't think it's horrible either, this whole game is a rollercoaster of feelings

The graphics are way ahead of other games, the cutscenes, the storytelling, the way the characters talk to each other, it's just perfect. I can't stop thinking about this game.     5 years i've been waiting for this game, and when it finally released they hit us with the most bland and predictable story ever.
    Altough the graphics are amazing, the soundtrack is damn near perfect and the combat is basicly the same as the first last of us (bit dissapointing) i just cant bring myself to give this a higher rating, the story is just so disturbingly bad.

Вне всяких сомнений она на очень приличном уровне, невероятно красивые пейзажи, погодные условия и т.д. 2) расширенная модернизация оружия и анимированные улучшения. Мелочи, а выглядят всё-таки красиво. На этом к сожалению плюсы кончаются. Одним из главных минусов игры является очень слабый сюжет. То, что сделало первую часть игры шедевром, тут полностью провалено. Ужасно нелогичная смерть любимого персонажа первой части в самом начале игры. Из осторожного и хладнокровного человека Джоэл превратился в добряка-симпатягу, который каждому встречному говорит свое имя и не против пригласить в лагерь за пополнением припасов, из-за чего он и умирает. Точнее сказать, его сливают разработчики просто для того, чтобы действия Элли имели хоть какую-то основу. Нам пытаются подать все так, что старина Джоэл мерзавец и получил то, что заслуживал, дескать убил хирурга (отца второго второстепенного персонажа- Эбби). Но подумайте на секунду. Суть первой части была как раз в борьбе за то, что тебе дорого. В ней поднимались проблемы семьи, собственных страхов, принятия своего прошлого. Джоэл потерял дочь, выживал два десятка лет, делал ужасные вещи, как он сам говорит. Но разве кто-то делал иначе? Они выживали, а в выживании границы морали очень тонки. Он теряет свою напарницу, оставаясь один на один с 14-ти летней девочкой, которая затем станет ему второй дочерью, нам покажут их ссоры и применения, то как они оба заботятся друг о друге. В конце же, Элли, не приходящую в сознание, без согласия кладут под нож. Каждый из нас бы спас свою дочь, и Джоэл не исключение. И вот за вами гонится целая база, вы, уставший и раненный, забегаете в операционную и какой-то мужик наставляет на вас скальпель и говорит, что не отдаст вам последнего дорогого вам человека. Думаю все бы пустили ему пулю между глаз и забрали дочь. Или я неправ? И этого персонажа нас заставляют нелюбить? Абсурд. Эбби- квадратная мужеподобная девушка, не вызывает никакой симпатии и переживаний. Я не сексист ни в коем разе, но это уже перебор. Только лист металла гнуть осталось, персонаж даже внешне не симпатичен. И она убивает Джоэла таким способом, который этот персонаж точно не заслуживал и зарождает тот самый круг мести. Месть эта глупая, обе девушки отказываются ото всего ради неё. От счастливой, спокойной жизни,… Expand

The gameplay is still 1010, and the story is a great continuation to the original's storyline. The few complaints I have are repetition of some NPC models, especially in the beginning of the game and the SJW topicsThe game is awesome and playing the 2d part of it really makes you understand and even, if not like, but not to hate Abby.     The game is years ahead of its time and it’s quite disturbing to see so many negative reviews just based on prejudice, it just makes the game that much important and necessary. The game is a gorgeous masterpiece, it doesn’t deserve the sexist and homophobic cohort of people trying to take from its shine. One of the best things I played. 10/10

The sequel to arguably the most well recieved PS4 game offers new refined graphics which are absolutely breathtaking, whilst also giving the player more developed mechanics in the gameplay. This is probably one of the best games out there if you're looking for eye candy in games, from the scenery, facial expressions, level design everything is top notch. The game had several breath taking moments where the immersion was very alive. The performances by the actors must also be taken into consideration when reviewing this game, they truly did an outstanding job.

    However this game has major issues with the plot which brings my score down by alot. After only some hours in the game you're faced with a brutal act of violence towards a character which fans love, a character who they had built up an entire game by. I'm completly fine by them killing of this character but the way the character got killed off is extremely bad. This game severely lacks the respect for the characters we all loved. The game lost my interest pretty quickly after i realized i had to spend a huge amount of time playing as the character who killed Joel, Abby. I'm pretty sure the majority of the people who atleast played the first game disliked Abby intensely after she killed Joel, the thought of playing this character for that amount of time just bored me, i wasn't interested.

    The characters feel boring and i couldn't care less what happened to them. There was no connection like Joel and Ellie had, infact the best moments in the game were the flashback with Joel and Ellie. When these flashbacks were being played i thought to myself why they didn't just use what the first game did so well? There was so many other ways the story could have unfolded, it's just a shame that didn't happen. The story has some major problems with plot holes aswell that were very apparent throughout my playthrough.

    I've no idea what prompted Naughty Dog to leave everything that the fans loved about the first game. It all felt like a pitty revenge plot with over used violence and moments which tried to detach us from the characters we loved from the first game. If they had nailed this story it'd have been in my eyes a clear top score, everything besides the story was of very good quality. it dissapoints me to say that this sequel that i waited a long time for was just not what i expected.

    God tier storytelling from Naughty Dog and Neil Druckmann once again. Insanely good graphics and gameplay accompany a mature complex narrative. Everything you could ever wish for from a sequel to The Last of Us.

This game had me feeling extremely conflicted, I was able to put myself in the characters shoes and wonder what I would do.     Got to day 2 and I have lost all motivation to continue. Such a shame, I really wanted to love this game, I tried, I really did. But just can’t get over the poor story and execution of it. The game looks amazing, but I’d rather play a 20 year old game with 2D graphics and an amazing story, than play TLOU2 with the story it has :( I am genuinely sad, I waited years to play this.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Let me start off right away by saying this: I have owned The Last of Us since it was first released. I have replayed the game nearly 20 times, and sometimes when I'm bored I'll just replay random chapters. I've watched, and rewatched, Youtube playthroughs. That's how much I love it. Joel and Ellie are my favorite characters in any video game. So when the second game was announced, you can imagine how excited I was. When the first trailer was released, you can imagine how excited I was. With each step closer to the release, my anticipation grew. I preordered the special edition, prepared to spend $200 on this game. THAT is how much I love TLoU.

    When the leaks first surfaced, I put my foot down and refused to look. Naughty Dog created Uncharted and TLoU, my favorite video games EVER. I refused to doubt them. A week or so passed, and I'd successfully avoided spoilers. Then I saw it. Stupidly, I scrolled through a comment section, and my eyes caught on the words: "Joel dies". My heart sank and I immediately kept scrolling, trying to convince myself that I hadn't seen it, that it was probably fake anyway, that I could simply move past it. But here's the thing... when I say Joel and Ellie are my favorite characters, the emphasis is on Joel. I. Love. Joel. So naturally, my imagination started racing. "Do I want to spend $200 on the game if Joel dies?"

    So I took the leap. And I will forever be grateful that I did. Within 2 minutes of reading the leaks I was crying, cancelling my preorder and unable to fall asleep that night. I cannot describe to you the heartbreak and rage that I felt at discovering what would happen to my beloved characters. That was weeks ago, and I've since cooled down. Before this game was even released, I mourned for Joel, went through the stages of grief. So now, at the time of release, I'm no longer raging - I'm just disappointed.

    Now I've been watching playthroughs, and the graphics are as beautiful as expected. I live in Seattle, and even THAT isn't enough to get me to buy this game. Do you know how excited I was, when I first heard the game would be in my home city?! The idea of exploring Seattle with Joel and Ellie was MINDBLOWING. Now, it's an afterthought. Exploring Seattle within this graphically stunning video game isn't enough. I will not ever be purchasing this game. I will never even buy it used. Now let me explain why.

    I believe in the freedom to create whatever art you want to create. I, however, am also free to despise that art. And I do. If the story was true to the characters and felt honest, things would be different. But it's not, so here we are.

    They destroy the very foundation of the characters that we love. If you think for one second that Joel Miller would trust a group of strangers enough to follow them into a closed space, and let his guard down enough to give his real name then you DO NOT KNOW JOEL. End of story. If you think for one second that Joel wouldn't have pulled out his gun after being shot in the leg, you DO NOT KNOW JOEL. Joel, fundamentally as a character, at his core, would never follow a group of strangers when he's completely outnumbered and knows that he has a bad reputation. Because of this, his entire death scene loses all credibility.

    Let me be clear and say that I'm fine with Joel dying. His death could have been a devastating, beautifully done moment. Instead, it's fundamentally untrue to his character and only serves as shock value. Instead of inspiring the player, it leaves you with nothing but bitterness and coldness - toward the game itself. I've watched so many people become distant, cold, bitter, uninterested, and detached, during and after the death. I don't believe Joel would have EVER allowed himself to be in that position, therefore the entire scene feels empty, untrue, and forced. Joel is a survivor.

    Now since I have limited characters, I will skip to the end. Throughout the game you/Ellie kill thousands of people. And then suddenly, once you get to Abby, the end goal of the entire storyline... you get... nothing. Suddenly, after killing so many people, this one kill isn't worth it. Suddenly, killing gets you nowhere and shame on us for killing all those people just to kill Abby. Ellie is sad, revenge got her nowhere, it didn't bring Joel back and so on and so on. Abby, the ONE person in the game who successfully got her revenge, disappears into the sunset.

    Newsflash, Naughty Dog: WE KNOW KILLING IS BAD. KILLING BAD. WE KNOW.

    Guess what: IT'S A VIDEO GAME. You go through these games, generally, defeating enemies. Usually, by killing them. That's why we upgrade weapons, build our arsenals. It's at the core of these types of video games. So for you to use the boss battle to prove a point about "killing bad. Ellie realizes now. Not before, but now." Is laughable. Any player investment that survived Joel's death is killed off for good with an unsatisfying, anticlimactic ending. In the end, it was all for nothing.    … Expand

To those, I will say go in with an open mind. I know some may not be able to get past them, but really do try. There are also a lot of rumours that are quite simply untrue.     A Massively emotional and dark story paired up with great gameplay and mechanics makes this one of the best games on the PS4. The story has a few ups and downs and the ending can be a little unsatisfactory however it is packs a great gaming experience

    I entered the world of Part II totally open-minded, but the inconsistency of it does not allow for a good experience, there is not the charm of the first title here.
    I hope from the bottom of my heart that the entire team of developers of this game, together with Mr. Druckmann, will reflect and listen to the fans' appeal.

I read the gamestop article about how you'd be hunted by dogs and then naughty dog said if you play the game a certain way and stay in stealth you wouldn't have to kil any dogs. This wasn't true. I play it stealthily but had to kill a dog in a quick time event. I know if your reading this you probably won't give a **** about that, so I'll move on to the story. The whole cycle of revenge arc is the most stupid plot I've ever seen in a game. The fact that at the end Ellie gives up on revenge, but still loses two fingers, dina leaves her and I doubt tommy would want to take her in seeing as she still didn't kill abby. Abby, on the other hand basically got away with murder. Sure she was strung up and nearly starved but she got away didn't she? While even though her friends all died, most of them she ended up hating,and she gets to sail away and start a new life. I mean, the message of the game is that revenge is bad, but it just proves the opposite. Abby, who got her revenge at the start gets to start a new life wherever she goes. Ellie has nothing. She let go of revenge which was the right thing to, do(even though I would have killed abby) and it feels like she's being punished. Which brings me to the last scene:just before the last flashback of joel, where you play guitar for the last time, the way the guitar doesn't play properly because you can only play with two fingers feels like and insult. It feels like naughty dog were laughing when they made this scene. Honestly, I didn't get the game on the ps3, I got the remaster, but does that make me any less of a fan? Maybe, but I played bad video games before, and they were all goty compared to this piece of ****… Expand

I think the reason why they left abby alive is for a DLC or another game, otherwise I don't find another reason why Ellie didn't achive her vengeance. The graphics and gameplay are great. I wiil like a ending where Ellie achive her vengeance and then regretting because it doesn't make her fill better.

Gameplay and visual wise this game is amazing probably Naughty Dog's best in terms of this, but the story however is really not great and is why my score is a 7 and if your where hoping for Joel I'm sorry but there will only be around 30 mins to spend with Joel, I wouldn't recommend if you don't like the gameplay of the first game… Expand

    The game is a good game, and good the last of us? Yes and no, They have outdone them selves with the gameplay and graphics and I applaud them for that.

    The story is a tricky thing, it is a good story but it isn’t a good last of us story, So if you just want to play a good game, then this is it, easily worth the 60 bucks

    Absolute trash game pandering to SJW's and feminists, all while getting my boy Joel killed in the worst possible way then playing as his killer for 10 hours. a literal WHO (abby) with arms as big as Tyler1, which is completely unrealistic as that required a steady supply of steroids which isn't possible during an apocalypse.

    So I played the whole game and it was only a torture, only one single moment was epic. (that's why 1/ 10). At the end I just rushed through it because it was making me more and more uncomfortable to playing the game. I was never so disappointed in a game, first part of the last of us was 10/10.

But if you try and manage to accept the subliminal and not so subtle messages as a fact that the world has gone awry and that people have the need to have somewhere or someone to belong to as their own way out, then... You will witness the boundaries of gaming expand. You will witness a true masterpiece.
