    Nothing new in this game. All what showed we already seen in other games. There is nothing special. Very poor script. I cannot compare this game with Part 1. I have playd around 15 hours or more and I havent any emotions. Wont play more.

    It’s an absolutely great game, if you haven’t played the first and didn’t love the characters that the first had created. The plot holes and the spit in the face of fans is just too much not to go ahead and write a review begging you not to waste your time, I’ve just finished the game and I couldn’t be more and angry and more upset and what I just went through. I’ve not enjoyed the last 8It’s an absolutely great game, if you haven’t played the first and didn’t love the characters that the first had created. The plot holes and the spit in the face of fans is just too much not to go ahead and write a review begging you not to waste your time, I’ve just finished the game and I couldn’t be more and angry and more upset and what I just went through. I’ve not enjoyed the last 8 hours of gameplay at all and it’s infuriated me to see such betrayal of the fans and to just disregard the story previous and how fans might feel during the 2nd half of the game. 5/5 if you haven’t played the first 1/5 if you have.… Expand

    The game has excellent gameplay, but it spoiled the story. The story touches on a theme that has no connection with the first game. Game is not just gameplay, but the storyline is key. So my low grade.

Go out and just kill clickers, there is nothing that significant in terms of game-play. The story is garbage too; terrible writing that butchered the story (she also killed Joel for revenge).     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I am actually on my run for the first part but seeing “that scene” on the part 2 made me lost my appetite to continue the game. This game just loses it context on character building and story-telling. I would have accepted “that scene” for the protagonist but playing another character and making the other protagonist an enemy is no longer acceptable at least to say the least Graphics and Gameplay are a notch but story wise and character plots nah. I wished the story would have been more of Ellie than playing Abby who came out of nowhere to avenge his dad everyone lose their loved ones. I just felt that the story could have been better like focusing on finding the cure without Ellie dying. I’m done with this game but thanks Naughty dog for disappointing your fans.… Expand

I waited like 5 years to play this and it wasn’t as good as I expected it to be. Joel died in a dishonorable way less than 2 hours in. Then the rest of the story we get annoying characters that I had no sympathy for. Jessie was one of my favorite original characters and he also died in a dishonorable way. This whole story was just kind of a let down. Abbys part took WAY too long and I didn’t even care about it AT ALL. The graphics gameplay and music were the only decent part about this game. In the trailers I thought the game would be about ellie and joel but they weren’t. It was some crappy revenge story and we didn’t even get revenge in the end? What? Big let down. If there’s a last of us 3 it better not be like the last of us 2. I had faith this would be good.… Expand

    Gave it 1 just because it looks great. This game is vomit inducing garbage pushing a political narrative. The story is trash and pointless. I cringe at every interaction between the characters. **** this game.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Abby killed Joel and expects the player to feel bad for her. Joel didn’t deserve to die at all. I wanted her to pay for the pain she caused to Ellie and Tommy. When that happened i was speechless and cried my eyes out. I don’t care for Abby and wished he had payed. Abby was the playable character for the majority of the game which I don’t think anyone wanted. Ellie let her go in the end which doesn’t make sense. The story line was trash and the ending was trash. Joel killed her father in Salt Lake but did she didn’t think that maybe that’s not what Joel wanted he didn’t wanna lose another daughter which I completely understand. They never asked Ellie if that’s what she wanted. Ellie didn’t know she was going to die from the surgery. Abby needed to let her fathers death go because in a world like that sadly it happens. After waiting 6yrs for a second one i was completely let down and will never play this game again. FYI i did play the game and finished it so i am not judging based on other people and spoilers… Expand

Un juego flojo y carente de narrativa, desde el inicio ocupa el recurso de "shock" en las muertes para que el jugador quede totalmente asombrado, siendo este su mayor desventaja, la manera de faltarle el respeto tanto al personaje carismático que construyeron en el anterior juego como la falta de respeto que le dan al jugador es absurda, es un juego con bastante hoyos argumentales, una carnicería sin sentido, muerte de personajes "importantes" de manera totalmente desinteresadas, un final anticlimatico, un viaje por EE.UU totalmente inutil y sin desarrollo para el personaje como para el jugador, nos obligan de manera casi directa a "querer" a la nueva personaje, una historia rebuscada y absurda, solo se preocupan por la jugabilidad y los gráficos y se han olvidado de que hoy en día los juegos tienen un peso parecido al de las películas en nivel narrativo, da igual la orientación sexual de los personajes por que eso no influye a nivel de historia, la narrativa en si es un escupo en la cara tanto al primer juego como al jugador que amo esta franquicia, una secuela totalmente inútil, una tortura que solo recurre al gore y al morbo, por que desde la muerte del querido personaje se puede ver un festín de morbo en la secuencia innecesaria para mostrar que a muerto, no todos pueden copiar la formula de juegos de tronos y matar a los personajes de maneras sádicas y pasar sin pena ni gloria, era inevitable que el querido personaje de joel muriese, pero la ejecución de este acto pudo haber sido totalmente diferente y mas coherente, tomare el caso de Arthur Morgan en red dead, el jugador creció junto al personaje, el jugador sabia que moriría en un punto determinado, pero su muerte fue de cierto modo satisfactoria para el jugador, por que pudo descansar junto a su personaje, fue una muerte merecida para alguien querido, sin faltar el respeto, en the last of us, toman a joel como un personaje mas y hace un festín pornográfico de morbo que te deja con un gusto a desesperación y asco, y todo lo que vives con Ellie, a todos los que pierdes es en vano, puesto que al final su venganza no es consumada, dejándonos con una pobre enseñanza, la jugabilidad en verdad es bastante aburrida y repetitiva, te dan toda una ciudad para explorar, pero solo logras encontrar objetos que te ayudan a crear, el espacio del inventario es un chiste, la cantidad de balas que puedes llevar es muy limitado, su sigilo repetitivo lo vuelve monotomo y aburrido, de verdad una entrega que fue esperada por 7 años y solo nos trae una división a nivel de fans de la franquicia, los bugs son otro gran problema, puesto que me eh encontrado con gran cantidad de ellos durante mi jugabilidad y no tengo una play con poca memoria ni una televisión básica, al contrario, de verdad una gran desepción.… Expand

    Not able to care for the main characters. Unnecessary dark story. Ending making me wonder what the point of this was. It was a risky move by Naughty Dog that ultimately does not pay off in my opinion.

    The story falls apart since Joel's death. A series of events begins without sense but with a clear objective, revenge. A revenge that will never happen because Naughty Dogs decided to teach us a lesson, revenge is not good, going to play the guitar is better than killing your '' father '' murderer. The problem is that time lapse between Joel's death and the journey to hunt Abby, it doesn't make sense. Everything we do until we reach Abby is meaningless because we did not meet our goal. Everything we kill on the long road does not make any sense, the behavior of the characters is unreal. I can't understand why Ellie doesn't kill Abby, I'm still looking for the answer.
    Speaking of Abby there is no point in her inclusion in the saga. Literally in this game the protagonists are women, we play with women all the time and we play with Abby, the game forces us to play with Abby and give it undeserved power and prominence.
    The missions between scenes are totally unnecessary and long to realize that the story goes from bad to worse.

    The game starts beautifully, Joel immediately explains what happened in the hospital and during the game, we can see what's happening between Ellie and Joel with a few flashbacks. But we can not see the rest of the 4 years of relationship between our protagonists because Joel gets killed like as if he is a monster and villain by some random characters. Ellie is included in cycle of revenge and the story continues. After that we play with the random character called Abby and find out that she is the surgeon's daughter Joel killed in the first game. From every point, things get ridiculous. That surgeon was nothing more than a NPC, he didn't have a little background at all and no one didn't even know who Abby is. She came out of nowhere and destroyed the character development, the story. After that the game forces players to play as Abby and tries to make players sympathize with Abby. Unfortunately the damage is gone. The developer tries to integrate the doctor's importance with some flashbacks. Furthermore Ellie and the characters who are around her turns into worthless living beings against Abby Then the story comes to an end but it's terrible as well like the rest of the story. The final scene tells everyone that everything was for nothing. Complicated time line, unexpected characters and scenes, excellent motivations, touching backgrounds, turning players against the main characters. This game is a masterpiece! Hmm, nope.

    In a nutshell, this game is a disrespect to all gamers who saw Joel and Ellie's story and felt their emotions, characters, the world that the developer created. Contradictory decisions which isn't fit with characters, wasted emotions and character developments for a cheap cycle of revenge, uninteresting new characters, unnecessary sex scene, exaggerated violence, incoherent and meaningless ending.

If you want a game that ruins all of the progress between Joel and Ellie this is for you. I was so so excited to play this game, Joel and Ellie built up they’re relationship in the first game and that was partly what was so good about it. The only reason it gets a 1 is because it had some nice graphics. We liked the last of us part one because of Joel and Ellie, who on earth thought it was a good idea to not have any dialogue between Joel and Ellie and then just kill him off in front of her, TO PRETTY MUCH START THE GAME?? it’s unbelievable that people thought this was the way to go about it.     This game has good mechanics but they are completely overshadowed by the fact that EVERYTHING revolves about being as inclusive as possible. The Main Characters are unlikeable. And they are because they only define themselves by their sexual orientation. Nothing else matters in this game more than this one and only trait.     I see that TLoU 2 shared the fate of Star Wars .. It is a pity to talk, the plot is a total bottom without even a small comparison with 1. They released one of the worst titles of this year.

    The Last of Us (2013) is still my favourite game. Love it from beggining to the end.

    The game was beautiful...but thats about it. The story was absolutely atrocious and poorly put together. It basically took the first game and threw out all the character development for the sake of Neil Druckmann’s personal desires.

    Frankly this is the worst game I have played. This game undoes everything you do in the first game while character assassinating Joel and Ellie.It tries to make you feel guilty for things the game forces you to do which is laughable. There is so much more to this terrible game but I dont even want to relive it. 0/10 Not a masterpiece.

And then this piece of **** comes out and it's terrible. You kill off a fan favorite character in record time and don't even bother to have his death avenged.     I was so pumped for this stupid game... How did it go so wrong? I believe games and other media should challenge their audience and their beliefs, but if you're going to do that, you have to do it REALLY well. This game was not done well. The graphics are phenomenal, but graphics don't make the game, that's why it's not a zero.

    I refuse to regard this game as a sequel as it does nothing but self destruct the amazing story that the first game had ended with.
